Results of solving a linear problem on steady vibrations of a horizontal cylinder submerged in a fluid, whose upper boundary is partially closed by a solid lid, whereas the rest of the surface is free, are presented. Multipole and eigenfunction expansion methods are used. Reciprocity relations are derived. Added-mass and damping coefficients and the wave amplitudes on the free surface of the fluid are calculated.  相似文献

The propagation of axisymmetric free vibrations in an infinite homogeneous isotropic micropolar thermoelastic plate without energy dissipation subjected to stress free and rigidly fixed boundary conditions is investigated. The secular equations for homogeneous isotropic micropolar thermoelastic plate without energy dissipation in closed form for symmetric and skew symmetric wave modes of propagation are derived. The different regions of secular equations are obtained. At short wavelength limits, the secular equations for symmetric and skew symmetric modes of wave propagation in a stress free insulated and isothermal plate reduce to Rayleigh surface wave frequency equation. The results for thermoelastic, micropolar elastic and elastic materials are obtained as particular cases from the derived secular equations. The amplitudes of displacement components, microrotation and temperature distribution are also computed during the symmetric and skew symmetric motion of the plate. The dispersion curves for symmetric and skew symmetric modes and amplitudes of displacement components, microrotation and temperature distribution in case of fundamental symmetric and skew symmetric modes are presented graphically. The analytical and numerical results are found to be in close agreement.  相似文献

通过奇异摄动方法研究了在薄冰层覆盖的不可压缩理想流体表面上传播的两个水弹性孤立波之间的迎面碰撞.借助特殊的 Cosserat 超弹性壳 理论以及Kirchhoff--Love 板理论,冰层由 Plotnikov--Toland板模型描述.流体运动采用浅水假设和Boussinesq 近似. 应用Poincaré--Lighthill--Kuo 方法进行坐标变形,进而渐近求解控制方程及边界条件, 给出了三阶解的显式表达. 可以观察到碰撞后的孤立波不会改变它们的形状和振幅. 波浪轮廓在碰撞之前是对称的, 而在碰撞之后变成不对称的并且在波传播方向上向后倾斜. 弹性板和流体表面张力减小了波幅. 图示比 较了本文与已有结果可知线性板模型可作为本文的一个特例.   相似文献

The natural frequencies of an elastic thin plate placed into a rectangular hole and connected to the rigid bottom slab of a rectangular container filled with fluid having a free surface are studied. The fluid is assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and irrotational, and the effect of surface waves is neglected. An analytical-Ritz method is developed to study the vibratory characteristics of the plate in contact with the fluid. First of all, the exact expression of the motion of the fluid is obtained, in which the unknown coefficients are determined by using the method of separation of variables and the method of Fourier series expansion. Then, the Ritz approach is used to obtain the frequency equation of the system. The vibrating beam functions are adopted as the admissible functions for the wet-mode expansion of the plate, and the added virtual mass incremental (AVMI) matrices are obtained for plates with arbitrary boundary conditions. Finally, a convergence study is carried out and some numerical results are given. The accuracy of AVMI factor solutions is discussed by comparing with the more accurate analytical-Ritz solutions presented in this paper. Furthermore, It is seen that the present method is also suitable for the vibration analysis of rectangular plates in contact with infinite fluid by taking the finite, but larger size fluid domain as an approximation in the computation.  相似文献

The problem of surface wave diffraction on a floating elastic plate is considered. The relation between the parameters of the elastic vibrations of the plate and the transmitted and reflected wave amplitudes is investigated. It is shown that the maximum amplitudes of the plate stresses and deflections depend nonmonotonically on the incident wave frequency and are reached simultaneously with the maxima of both the transmission coefficient and the length of the wave penetrating into the plate. This makes it possible to use the transmission coefficient as a parameter for investigating the maximum and minimum amplitudes of the hydroelastic vibrations of the plate. As an example, this criterion is used to minimize the vibrations of a plate whose leading edge is elastically connected to the bottom.  相似文献

磁流变液是智能材料系统中重要的作动器材料之一,在外加磁场作用下,其物理性能粘度、剪切模量会发生较大变化。本文实验研究了磁流变液夹层梁振动抑制效果。实验梁由MRF层和上下弹性层组成,悬臂支承,表面单点激励。通过改变外加磁场,梁的刚度、阻尼随之改变。利用这些变化可以调节梁的振动特性,如固有频率、振幅、损耗因子等。实验激励力频率为0~300Hz,外加磁场为0、8001、500 Oersted。实验结果表明:随着外加磁场强度的增加,梁的固有频率和损耗因子均显著增加,振动响应明显减小。  相似文献

This paper consideres the behavior of a semi-infinite ice cover on the surface of an ideal incompressible fluid of finite depth under the action of a load moving with constant velocity along the edge of the cover at some distance from it. The ice cover is modeled by a thin elastic plate of constant thickness. In a moving coordinate system, the deflection of the plate is assumed to be steady. An analytic solution of the problem is obtained using the Wiener–Hopf technique. The wave forces, the deflection of the plate, and the elevation of the free surface of the fluid at different velocities of the load are investigated.  相似文献

The problem of the behavior of an elastic floating plate in the form of a strip under the action of a periodic surface load is solved using the Wiener-Hopf technique. The shortwave approximation is found in explicit form. The effect of the frequency and nature of the acting load on the vibration amplitudes of the fluid and the plate is investigated numerically. It is found that for certain loads no waves propagate in the fluid and the vibrations of the plate are localized in the neighborhood of the acting load. The dynamic responses of an ice-covered fluid to impulsive disturbances are analytically investigated for two- and three-dimensional cases. The initially quiescent fluid of infinite depth is assumed to be inviscid, incompressible and homogenous. The thin ice-cover is modelled as a homogenous elastic plate with negligible inertia. Four types of impulsive concentrated disturbances are considered, namely an instantaneous mass source immersed in the fluid, an instantaneously dynamic load on the plate, an initial impulse on the surface of the fluid, and an initial displacement of the ice plate. The linearized initial-boundary-value problem is formulated within the framework of potential flow. The solutions in integral form for the vertical deflexions at the ice-water interface are obtained by means of a joint Laplace-Fourier transform. The asymptotic representations of the wave motions for large time with a fixed distance-to-time ratio are derived by making use of the method of stationary phase. It is found that there exists a minimal group velocity and the wave system observed depends on the moving speed of the observer. For an observer moving with the speed larger than the minimal group velocity, there exist two trains of waves, namely the long gravity waves and the short flexural waves, the latter riding on the former. Moreover, the deflexions of the ice-plate for an observer moving with a speed near the minimal group velocity are expressed in terms of the Airy functions. The effects of the presence of an ice-cover on the resultant wave amplitudes, the wavelengths and periods are discussed in detail. The explicit expressions for the free-surface gravity waves can readily be recovered by the present results as the thickness of ice-plate tends to zero.  相似文献

We propose approximate solutions of two-dimensional hydroelastic problems that describe free oscillations of an ideal fluid in a horizontal long cylindrical container with arbitrary symmetric cross section. The free surface of the fluid is covered by a plane membrane or an elastic plate. Using specific examples, we analyze the obtained solutions and the results of computation of frequencies and forms of oscillations of the mechanical system under consideration.  相似文献

An analysis is presented for the problem of free convection with mass transfer flow for a micropolar fluid via a porous medium bounded by a semi-infinite vertical porous plate in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. The plate moves with constant velocity in the longitudinal direction, and the free stream velocity follows an exponentially small perturbation law. A uniform magnetic field acts perpendicularly to the porous surface in which absorbs the micropolar fluid with a suction velocity varying with time. Numerical results of velocity distribution of micropolar fluids are compared with the corresponding flow problems for a Newtonian fluid. Also, the results of the skin-friction coefficient, the couple stress coefficient, the rate of the heat and mass transfers at the wall are prepared with various values of fluid properties and flow conditions.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a model for fluid-structure interaction. The hybrid system describes the interaction between an incompressible fluid in a three-dimensional container with interior a fixed domain and a thin elastic plate, the interface, which coincides with a flexible flat part of the surface of the vessel containing the fluid. The motion of the fluid is described by the linearized Navier–Stokes equations and the deformation of the plate by the classical plate equations for in-plane motions, modified to include the viscous shear stress which the fluid exerts on the plate as well as damping of Kelvin–Voigt type. We establish the existence of a unique weak solution of the interactive system of partial differential equations by considering an appropriate variational formulation. Uniform stability of the energy associated with the model is shown under the assumption that the potential plate energy is dominated by the dissipation induced by the viscosity of the fluid. The retention of the physical parameters in the problem is an a priori requirement in this physical condition.   相似文献

A nonlinear system with two degrees of freedom is considered. The system consists of an oscillator with relatively large mass, which approximates some continuous elastic system, and an oscillator with relatively small mass, which damps the vibrations of the elastic system. A modal analysis reveals a local stable mode that exists within a rather wide range of system parameters and favors vibration damping. Autoparametric interaction of a liquid free surface in a rectangular tank with an elastic support structure, which is subjected to vertical excitation, is investigated. When the natural frequency of the structure is equal to the lowest natural frequency of liquid sloshing, this system is categorized as an autoparametric system with an internal resonance ratio 1:1. The structure is elastically supported so there is a higher possibility that the 1:1 internal resonance can be observed. The nonlinear theoretical analysis is conducted for a fluid assumed to be perfect in a tank with a finite liquid depth. The equations of motion for the first three sloshing modes are derived employing Galerkin’s technique and considering both the nonlinearity of the fluid motion, and the viscous damping effect. Then the theoretical frequency response curves for the harmonic oscillations of the structure and sloshing are determined using van der Pol’s method. The frequency response curves show that high amplitudes of the structure’s vibrations facilitate the liquid sloshing. Furthermore, the influence of the internal detuning parameter is investigated by showing the frequency response curves and bifurcation sets. Hopf bifurcations may occur followed by amplitude-modulated motions. The theoretical results are in quantitative agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

The galloping response of a circular cylinder fitted with three different splitter plates and free to oscillate transverse to a free stream has been investigated considering variations in plate length and plate porosity. Models were mounted in a low mass and damping elastic system and experiments have been carried out in a recirculating water channel in the Reynolds number range of 1500 to 16 000. Solid splitter plates of 0.5 and 1.0 diameter in length are shown to produce severe galloping responses, reaching displacements of 1.8 diameters in amplitude at a reduced velocity of around 8. Fitting a slotted plate with a porosity ratio of 30% also caused considerable vibration, but with a reduced rate of increase with flow speed. All results are compared with the typical vortex-induced vibration response of a plain cylinder. Force decomposition in relation to the body velocity and acceleration indicates that a galloping mechanism is responsible for extracting energy from the flow and driving the oscillations. Visualisation of the flow field around the devices performed with PIV reveal that the reattachment of the free shear layers on the tip of the plates is the hydrodynamic mechanism driving the excitation.  相似文献

The natural frequencies, complex modes and critical speeds of an axially moving rectangular plate, which is partially immersed in a fluid and subjected to a pretension, are investigated. The effects of free surface waves, compressibility and viscidity of the fluid are neglected in the analysis. The subsection functions are used to describe the discontinuous characteristics of the system due to partial immersion. The classical thin plate theory is adopted to formulate the equations of motion of a vibrating plate. The velocity potential and Bernoulli's equation are used to describe the fluid pressure acting on the moving plate. The effect of fluid on the vibrations of the plate may be equivalent to the added mass on the plate. The effects of distance ratio, moving speed, immersed-depth ratio, boundary conditions, stiffness ratio and aspect ratio of the plate as well as the fluid-plate density ratios on the free vibrations of the moving plate-fluid system are investigated.  相似文献

The series composed by beam mode function is used to approximate the displacement function of constrained damping of laminated cantilever plates, and the transverse deformation of the plate on which a concentrated force is acted is calculated using the principle of virtual work.By solving Lagrange's equation, the frequencies and model loss factors of free vibration of the plate are obtained, then the transient response of constrained damping of laminated cantilever plate is obtained, when the concentrated force is withdrawn suddenly.The theoretical calculations are compared with the experimental data, the results show:both the frequencies and the response time of theoretical calculation and its variational law with the parameters of the damping layer are identical with experimental results.Also, the response time of steel cantilever plate, unconstrained damping cantilever plate and constrained damping cantilever plate are brought into comparison, which shows that the constrained damping structure can effectively suppress the vibration.  相似文献

Using the multipoles method, we formulate the problems of radiation (both heave and sway) of water waves by a submerged sphere in deep as well as in uniform finite depth water with an ice-cover, with the ice-cover being modelled as an elastic plate of very small thickness. In each case this leads to an infinite system of linear equations which are solved numerically by standard techniques. The added-mass and damping coefficients for a heaving and swaying sphere are obtained and depicted graphically against the wave number for various values of the radius of the submerged sphere and flexural rigidity of the ice-cover to show the effect of the presence of ice-cover on these quantities. When the flexural rigidity is taken to be zero, the numerical results for the added-mass and damping coefficient for water with a free surface are recovered.  相似文献
