本文叙述了用调Q倍频YAG脉冲激光照射α-LiIO3晶体,在不同的散射配置下,获得了各种散射谱图。实验表明,当用e光入射时,可以比用o光入射激发起更多不同模的晶格振动;获得了E2模的很强的一阶、二阶斯托克斯散射线和反斯托克斯散射线,E1模Polariton的一阶、二阶、三阶斯托克斯线和反斯托克斯线,还获得了反斯托克斯频率区一条频移为469cm-1的新线,认为是不同模的Polariton之间的相互作用引起的。最后,提到实验中初步观察到的晶体拉曼活性的“疲劳现象”。 关键词:  相似文献

We experimentally establish a non-classical correlation between a single Stokes photon and the collective spin excited state of a cold atomic ensemble by using a spontaneous Raman scattering process. The correlation between them can be proved by transferring the spin excited state of the atomic ensemble into an anti-Stokes photon and checking the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality between the Stokes and the anti-Stokes photons. The non-classical correlation can be kept for at least 300 ns.  相似文献

Resonant Raman scattering of second-order Raman modes from an individual graphite whisker synthesized by a high-temperature heat-treatment method at a special pressure was discussed here. The dependence of phonon frequencies on the incoming laser light and the frequency difference between Stokes and anti-Stokes scattering show their origin from double resonance Raman scattering. Our results show that all the experimental results of second-order Raman modes in graphite whiskers, such as the excitation-energy dependence on the mode frequency, the frequency shift between a second-order Raman mode and its fundamentals, and the frequency discrepancy between Stokes and anti-Stokes components of a second-order Raman mode can be well understood by double resonance Raman scattering.  相似文献

We present a novel technique that intrinsically mitigates the quantum-defect heating in Raman lasers. The basic principle of this so-called "coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS)-based heat mitigation" is to suppress the phonon creation in the Raman medium by increasing the number of out-coupled anti-Stokes photons with respect to the number of out-coupled Stokes photons. We demonstrate with the aid of numerical simulations that for a hydrogen and a silicon Raman laser, CARS-based heat mitigation efficiencies of at least 30% and 35%, respectively, can be obtained.  相似文献

The problem of the stationary generation by Raman and degenerate hyper-Raman scattering is solved by means of two methods: stationary solution of the generalized Fokker-Planck equation and linear analysis of stability of the Langevin equations. The conditions of stability and the corresponding stationary values for amplitudes of the Stokes, anti-Stokes or output laser modes are obtained for particular cases. A phenomenon analogous to the second order phase transition can occur for Stokes or anti-Stokes interaction of Raman scattering above the threshold value of the pump amplitude. The anti-Stokes interaction of degenerate hyper-Raman scattering can show bistable behaviour above the second threshold value of the pump amplitude.The author would like to express his sincere thanks to Dr. J. To achieve high-spectral-resolution multiplex coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS), one typically uses a narrowband pump pulse and a broadband Stokes pulse. This is to ensure a correspondence between anti-Stokes and vibrational frequencies. We obtain high-resolution CARS spectra of isopropanol, using a broadband chirped pump pulse and a broadband Stokes pulse, by detecting the anti-Stokes pulse with spectral interferometry. With the temporally resolved anti-Stokes signal, we can remove the chirp of the anti-Stokes pulse and restore high spectral resolution while also rejecting nonresonant scattering.  相似文献

The influence of the scattering matrix elements that are responsible for the amplification of the Stokes and anti-Stokes components on the process of stimulated Raman scattering in the essentially nonstationary regime is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the optimum proportion between the scattering matrix elements, which maximizes the anti-Stokes component, is determined by the ratio between the optical frequencies of the components and the initial proportion between the intensities of the pump and initiating pulses. In the case of the optimum proportion between the scattering matrix elements, the variation in the excitation of a medium compensates the self-induced modulation of gain, and the efficiency of converting the radiation energy into the Stokes and anti-Stokes components increases substantially.  相似文献

We demonstrate time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) by using a frequency-tunable femtosecond soliton output of a silica photonic-crystal fiber (PCF) as a Stokes field. This approach allows quantum beats originating from two close Raman modes to be resolved in the time-domain CARS response. The nonresonant CARS background is efficiently suppressed by introducing a delay time between the probe pulse and the pump-Stokes pulse dyad, suggesting a convenient fiber-optic format for the Stokes source in time-resolved CARS and allowing sensitivity improvement in PCF-based CARS spectroscopes and microscopes.  相似文献

We have studied the quantum beats of vibrational modes in different phase samples by employing femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (fs-CARS) technique. The temporal chirped white-light continuum (WLC) is used for the Stokes pulse, we have achieved the selective excitation of vibrational modes in both the low and high wavenumber regions without complicated laser system, and observed quantum coherence between vibrational modes. This work is of special significance to enhance our understanding of quantum coherence and develop the applications of quantum technologies.  相似文献

We report the investigations of spin wave modes of arrays of Ni and Co nanorods using Brillouin light scattering. We have revealed the significant influence of spin wave modes along the nanorod axis in contrast to infinite magnetic nanowires. Unusual optical properties featuring an inverted Stokes/anti-Stokes asymmetry of the Brillouin scattering spectra have been observed. The spectrum of spin wave modes in the nanorod array has been calculated and compared with the experiment. Experimental observations are explained in terms of a combined numerical–analytical approach taking into account both the low aspect ratio of individual magnetic nanorods and dipolar magnetic coupling between the nanorods in the array. The optical studies of spin-wave modes in nanorod metamaterials with low aspect ratio nanorods have revealed new magnetic and magneto-optical properties compared to continuous magnetic films or infinite magnetic nanowires. Such magnetic artificial materials are important class of active metamaterials needed for prospective data storage and signal processing applications.  相似文献

We investigate the propagation characteristics of the narrowband Stokes/anti-Stokes photons in cold atomic vapor. The four-wave mixing process results from parametric amplification of the anti-Stokes photons. We find that the process of parametric amplification is very similar to the light pulse propagating through an anomalous dispersion gain medium. Finally, we obtain the general solutions of the Glauber biphoton correlation functions, which are in good agreement with the experiment results.  相似文献

We have studied the Raman spectra of a system consisting of a polystyrene latex microsphere coated by CdTe colloidal quantum dots. The cavity-induced enhancement of the Raman scattering allows the observation of Raman spectra from only one CdTe monolayer. Periodic structure with very narrow peaks in the Raman spectra of a single microsphere was detected both in Stokes and anti-Stokes spectral regions, arising from the coupling between the emission from quantum dots and spherical cavity modes.  相似文献

 采用腔外单次通过方式,测量了LiIO3晶体在532 nm皮秒脉冲下的受激拉曼散射。实验中观察到3级斯托克斯线(556.07,582.30, 611.76 nm)和1级反斯托克斯线(509.57 nm),由此可计算出其频率间隔为820 cm-1。测量了LiIO3晶体各级拉曼散射谱线的阈值和增益系数,受激拉曼散射的整体转换效率达到56%。基于LiIO3晶体实现了皮秒外腔式拉曼激光器的运转,双波长输出总转换效率为27%,最大输出能量1.4 mJ。  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a model for four-level double Raman pairs by exploiting the required optimal conditions for this system that are feasible with real experimental realization. We investigate qualitatively the entanglement, statistical properties, and geometric phase for the pair of Stokes and anti-Stokes photons in the presence of the relativistic motion. We show that these quantifiers are very sensitive to the change of the Rabi frequency under relativistic motion, exhibiting substantial phenomena that depend on this kind of the coupling between the atom and photons. Finally, we explore the relationship between the quantum quantifiers for constant and time-dependent coupling.  相似文献

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is discovered under picosecond laser excitation in a YAlO3 orthorhombic crystal, and its cascaded and cross-cascaded χ(3) nonlinear optical interactions are studied. Investigations revealed three SRS-active phonon modes of the crystal and identified all its recorded Stokes and anti-Stokes generation lines.  相似文献

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) has been observed for the first time in a tetragonal LiYbF4 crystal. The recorded Stokes and anti-Stokes components of χ(3) nonlinear lasing are attributed to the two SRS-active phonon modes with ωSRS1 ~ 325 cm–1 and ωSRS2 ~ 432 cm–1 of this crystal.  相似文献
