We propose a novel method to achieve highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (PCF) by filling highly nonlinear liquid chloroform in the core of hollow-core PCF (HCPCF). The dispersion properties and electric field distribution of the fundamental mode are calculated by using the full-vector finite element method (FVFEM). Simulation results indicate that the zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDWL) of the chloroform-filled PCF is adjustable around 800 nm. Hence the femtosecond laser pulses with central wavelength at 800 nm can propagate in anomalous dispersion regime of the PCF, inducing the spectra broadening.  相似文献

设计了一种铅硅酸盐SF57 材料的光子晶体光纤, 利用有限元法数值模拟了该光纤的 色散特性. 研究结果显示在整个透明波段光纤具有正常色散. 利用自适应分布傅里叶法求解非线性薛定谔方程, 对中心波长为1550 nm, 初始脉宽为150 fs 的脉冲在该光纤中传输进行了模拟, 获得了关于入射脉冲中心波长对称的展宽范围超过了600 nm 的超平坦连续光谱, 并且光谱具有极其稳定和 相干的特性. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 超连续谱产生 正常色散  相似文献

We present an experimental study on supercontinuum generation by combining a clad-pumped Er/Yb co-doped fiber amplifier (EYDFA) and a highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (HNL-PCF). By using the nonlinear polarization rotation technique, a stable femtosecond optical pulse seed signal with a central wavelength of 1556.36 nm and a spectral line width of ∼5.6 nm has been obtained. Then, this pulsed seed signal is amplified by the EYDFA, the amplified pulse, which, with the broaden spectrum, propagates in the HNL-PCF. The 20 dB bandwidth of ∼520 nm from 1230 to 1750 nm is obtained.  相似文献

A tunable and switchable multi-wavelength Erbium-doped photonic crystal fiber ring laser incorporating a length of single-mode highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. Stable dual-wavelength and triple-wavelength operations at room temperature are achieved by employing the highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber to induce four-wave mixing effect and a polarization controller to vary the polarization states of propagation lights in the laser cavity. The laser cavity is free from any wavelength selection components. The laser obtains maximal 30 dB signal-to-noise ratio and the peak power fluctuations of lasing lines are less than 1.39 dB.  相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of femtosecond pulses and supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibers made from glasses with high nonlinear refractive indices are theoretically investigated without the use of the slowly varying envelope approximation. For specifically designed photonic crystal fibers with two zero-dispersion wavelengths, we predict supercontinuum generation due to nonsolitonic radiation emitted by the solitons on the shorter- and on the longer-wavelength sides. The physical mechanism and the peculiarities of such radiation on both spectral sides are studied and explained by the specific phase-matching relations between the solitons and their associated radiation.  相似文献

采用脉冲重复频率可调的高功率皮秒脉冲光纤激 光抽运光子晶体光纤产生了平均输出功率为101 W的全 光纤化超连续谱. 通过一系列的对比实验, 详细研究了抽运激光的脉冲重复频率以及光子晶体光纤的长度对超连续谱产生的影响. 最后, 对如何实现更高平均功率的超连续谱输出进行相关的分析和讨论. 相关研究结果可以为进一步发展基于光子晶体光纤的高功率超连续谱光源提供一定的参考. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 非线性光纤光学 超连续谱产生  相似文献

Broadband supercontinuums (SC) are generated by soliton self-frequency shift (SSFS) of hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (HC-PCF) in our laboratory. With the pump works at 810 nm when the pump power increase from 400 to 600 mW, the Raman Soliton shifts from 2089 to 2215 nm, the bandwidth of SC increases from 2213 to 2320 nm. The ultra-violet part of SC is below 180 nm, and the mid-infrared part of SC exceeds 2500 nm. Moreover, the influence of pump power on SC is also analyzed.  相似文献

本文使用重复频率为250 MHz、脉冲宽度为135 fs、最大功率为2.2 W的锁模掺镱光纤激光作为种子源,利用光子晶体光纤和自制的拉锥式单模光纤两种高非线性光纤研究了超连续光谱的产生特性,通过对比两种光纤的结构、色散等特性,分析了拉曼孤子、色散波及其他非线性效应对产生的超连续谱形状的影响,并均得到了大于一个倍频程的超连续光谱,特别是拉锥式单模光纤产生的超连续光谱,耦合效率达到60%,这为众多研究领域,尤其是光学频率梳的建立提供了实用的超连续光源.  相似文献

用实验和数值模拟两种方法研究了高非线性光子晶体光纤中飞秒激光脉冲的传输特性和超连续谱的产生机理,给出了抽运脉冲在三种不同中心波长情况下输出光谱展宽并形成超连续谱的实际测量及理论模拟结果.研究表明:在零色散波长抽运时,光谱展宽以自相位调制为主,同时三阶色散的影响明显,传输脉冲在时域内出现振荡次峰.而在反常色散区抽运时,光谱展宽的初期以自相位调制为主,随后根据抽运功率的不同孤子自频移、高阶光孤子的裂变和四波混频效应会逐渐增强,进而成为光谱展宽的主要原因.与此相应,在时域中能明显看到孤子的形成和红移,飞秒传输脉 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 高非线性光子晶体光纤 飞秒脉冲激光 超连续谱  相似文献

利用预估校正分步傅里叶法数值求解非线性薛定谔方程, 模拟超短激光脉冲在全正色散光子晶体光纤中传输时的演化情况, 分析了不同脉宽和能量的脉冲对产生的超连续谱的影响. 结果表明: 无啁啾高斯脉冲在此全正色散光子晶体光纤中传输时, 始终保持单个脉冲特性, 提高脉冲峰值功率可进一步展宽获得的超连续谱.模拟结果同时表明, 利用中心波长为1060 nm, 脉宽和能量分别为50 fs, 15 nJ的脉冲抽运此光纤, 当传输12 cm 后便可获得具有较好的光谱连续性和光谱平坦度的超连续谱. 进一步模拟结果表明, 采用棱镜对对其进行脉冲压缩, 可获得脉宽约15 fs, 谱宽约700 nm的理想超连续谱光源. 关键词: 超连续谱 光子晶体光纤 全正色散  相似文献

Supercontinuum generation by dual-wavelength nanosecond pumping in the vicinity of both zero-dispersion wavelengths of a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is experimentally demonstrated. It is shown in particular that two pumps at 1535 nm and 767 nm simultaneously pumping near the two zero-dispersion wavelengths of a specially designed PCF yields a combined visible and infrared supercontinuum spectrum spanning from 0.55 μm to 1.9 μm. We discuss the generation mechanisms underlying the continuum formation in terms of modulation instability and cascaded Raman generation.  相似文献

采用平均功率为141.6 W的皮秒光纤激光泵浦一段国产七芯光子晶体光纤,获得了平均功率为104.2 W、连续光谱覆盖范围从750至1700 nm以上的超连续谱输出.详细研究了超连续光谱随泵浦功率增加的演变过程,并对基于该七芯光子晶体光纤的超连续谱光源的光谱拓展和功率提升潜力进行相关的分析和讨论.该研究结果对高功率超连续谱光源的发展具有一定的参考价值.  相似文献

实验研究了高非线性光子晶体光纤中模式控制的非线性过程,利用激发出高阶模式获得上转换到可见光波段的色散波.通过控制输入飞秒激光的偏振方向,获得了两组相互正交的高阶模式的非线性输出.进一步在光子晶体光纤空气孔包层中注入蜡修整纤芯结构,使得正交模式的有效模折射率差降低,从而形成简并的模式,并通过叠加简并模式获得了中空模场的输出. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 飞秒激光 频率变换 中空模式  相似文献

A large mode area photonic crystal fiber (LMA PCF) with an effective area of 180 μm2 is used to generate a high energy, micro-joule range, flat, octave spanning supercontinuum (SC) extending from ~ 600 nm to ~ 1720 nm. A train of femtosecond pulses from a widely-tunable parametric amplifier pumped by a Ti:Sapphire regenerative amplifier system are coupled into a 20 cm length of LMA PCF generating a SC of 1.4 μJ energy. We present an experimental study of the high energy SC as a function of the input power and the pumping wavelength. The spectrum obtained at a pump wavelength of 1260 nm presents spectral flatness variation less than 12 dB over more than 1.1 octave bandwidth. The physical processes behind the SC formation are described in the normal and the anomalous dispersion regions. Our experimental results are successfully compared with the numerical solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

We report a supercontinuum source generated in seven-core photonic crystal fibers(PCFs) pumped by a self-made all-fiber picosecond pulsed broadband fiber amplifier. The amplifier's output average power is 60 W at 1150 nm with spectral width of 260 nm, and its repetition rate is 8.47 MHz with pulse width of 221 ps. With two different lengths of seven-core PCF, different output powers and spectra are obtained. When a 10 m long seven-core PCF is chosen, the output supercontinuum covers the wavelength range from 620 nm to 1700 nm, with the output power of 11.7 W. With only 2 m long seven-core PCF used in the same experiment, the wavelength of the supercontinuum spans from 680 nm to 1700 nm,with the output power of 20.4 W. The results show that the pulse width is 385 ps in the 10 m long seven-core PCF and 255 ps in the 2 m long one, respectively, due to the normal dispersion of the PCF.  相似文献

A circular photonic crystal fiber (C-PCF) based on As2Se3 is designed, which has three zero dispersion wavelengths and flat dispersion. Using this fiber, a wide mid-infrared supercontinuum (MIR-SC) can be generated by launching a femtosecond pulse in the first anomalous dispersion region. The simulation results show that the MIR-SC is formed by soliton self-frequency shift and direct soliton spectrum tunneling on the long wavelength side and self-phase modulation, soliton fission on the short wavelength side. Further, optical shocking and four-wave mixing (FWM) are not conducive to the long-wavelength extension of MIR-SC, while the number and intensity of fundamental solitons have a greater effect on the short-wavelength extension of MIR-SC. The generation of optical shocking waves, FWM waves and fundamental solitons can be obviously affected by changing the fiber length and input pulse parameters, so that the spectrum range and flatness can be adjusted with great freedom. Finally, under the conditions of 4000 W pulse peak power, 30 fs pulse width, 47 mm fiber length, and 0 initial chirp, a wide MIR-SC with a coverage range of 2.535 μm-16.6 μm is obtained. These numerical results are encouraging because they demonstrate that the spread of MIR-SC towards the red and blue ends can be manipulated by choosing the appropriate incident pulse and designing optimized fiber parameters, which contributes to applications in such diverse areas as spectroscopy, metrology and tomography.  相似文献

We report supercontinuum (SC) generation in a lead silicate SF57 photonic crystal fiber by using a 1550 nm pump source. The effective nonlinear coefficient of the SF57 fiber is simulated to be 111.5 W-1 ·km-1 at 1550 nm. The fiber also shows ultraflat dispersion from 1700 nm to 2100 nm. Our results reveal that with an increase of the average power of the incident pulse from 10 mW to 90 mW, the SC of the SF57 photonic crystal fiber is generated from 1300 nm to 1900 nm with high stability and without significant change in spectral broadening.  相似文献

对光子晶体光纤包层3个空气孔之间节区的传光特性进行了分析, 对比了纤芯与包层节区传光的模场面积、非线性系数及色散特性, 得到光子晶体光纤包层节区具有小芯、高非线性的特点.在包层空气孔较大的情况下, 得到了双零色散曲线.根据色散曲线, 分析了色散波产生的相位匹配特性, 得到了色散波中心波长随抽运波长及功率的变化规律.制备出了所设计的光子晶体光纤, 实验得到了在可见光及红外大于300 nm的宽带色散波, 并给出了色散波随抽运波长及功率的变化规律.实验和理论分析结果一致, 为波长变换及超连续宽带光源的研究奠定了基础. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 色散波 相位匹配 非线性  相似文献

We have demonstrated a simple ring cavity tunable multiwavelength Brillouin/Erbium fiber laser (MWBEFL), in which 70 m highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (HNL-PCF) is used as the Brillouin gain medium. The fiber laser utilizes recycling mechanism to enhance stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). The configuration that consists of only 3 optical components is easy to be integrated and improves the practicality. At the maximum 1480 nm pump power of 110 mW and the Brillouin pump power of 3 dBm, 10 stable output channels with more than 10 dB optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) and 0.078 nm channel spacing could achieve 10 nm tuning ranges.  相似文献
