A way to extend operators in spaces of continuous functions to spaces of continuous set-valued functions is proposed. This extension is developed through the Steiner selections of the set-valued functions. Their properties and characteristics of the convergence of sequences of operators of this class are studied. An auxiliary principle technique to study a class of generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequalities is extended. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the auxiliary problem for the generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequalities are proved, a novel and innovative three-step iterative algorithm to compute approximate solution is constructed, and the existence of the solution of the generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequality is shown using the auxiliary principle technique. By using an existence theorems of maximal elements for a family of set-valued mappings in G-convex spaces due to the author, some new nonempty intersection theorems for a family of set-valued mappings were established in noncompact product G-convex spaces. As applications, some equilibrium existence theorems for a system of generalized vector equilibrium problems were proved in noncompact product G-convex spaces. In this pepar we consider the upwind difference scheme of a kind of boundary value problems for nonlinear, second order, ordinary differential equations. Singular perturbation method is applied to construct the asymptotic approximation of the solution to the upwind difference equation. Using the theory of exponential dichotomies we show that the solution of an order-reduced equation is a good approximation of the solution to the upwind difference equation except near boundaries. We construct correctors which yield asymptotic approximations by adding them to the solution of the order-reduced equation. Finally, some numerical examples are illustrated.  相似文献

For the section coupled system of multilayer dynamics of fluids in porous media, a parallel scheme modified by the characteristic finite difference fractional steps is proposed for a complete point set consisting of coarse and fine partitions. Some tech- niques, such as calculus of variations, energy method, twofold-quadratic interpolation of product type, multiplicative commutation law of difference operators, decomposition of high order difference operators, and prior estimates, are used in theoretical analysis. Optimal order estimates in 12 norm are derived to show accuracy of the second order approximation solutions. These methods have been used to simulate the problems of migration-accumulation of oil resources.  相似文献

This paper discusses the growth of a pre-existing void in a nonlinear viscoelastic material subjected to remote hydrostatic tensions with different loading rates. The constitutive relation of this viscoelastic material is the one recently proposed by the present authors, which may be considered as a generalization of the non-Gaussian statistical theory in rubber elasticity. As the first order approx-imation, the above constitutive relation can be reduced to the “neo-Hookean” type viscoelastic one.Investigations of the influences of the material viscosity and the loading rate on the void growth, or on the cavitation are carried out. It is found that: (1) for generalized “inverse Langevin approximation” nonlinear viscoelastic materials, the cavitation limit does not exist, but there is a certain (remote) stress level at which the void will grow rapidly; (2) for generalized “Gaussian statistics” (neo-Hookean type) viscoelastic materials, the cavitation limit exists, and is an increasing function of the loading rate.The present discussions may be of importance in understanding the material failure process under high triaxial stress.  相似文献

To solve Fredholm integral equations of the second kind, a generalized linear functional is introduced and a new function-valued Pade-type approximation is denned. By means of the power series expansion of the solution, this method can construct an approximate solution to solve the given integral equation. On the basis of the orthogonal polynomials, two useful determinant expressions of the numerator polynomial and the denominator polynomial for Pade-type approximation are explicitly given.  相似文献

This study is devoted to the investigation of thermal criticality for a reactive gravity driven thin film flow of a third-grade fluid with adiabatic free surface down an inclined isothermal plane. It is assumed that the reaction is exothermic under Arrhenius kinetics, neglecting the consumption of the material. The governing non-linear equations for conservation of momentum and energy are obtained and solved by using a new computational approach based on a special type of Hermite-Padé approximation technique implemented in MAPLE. This semi-numerical scheme offers some advantages over solutions obtained with traditional methods such as finite differences, spectral method, and shooting method. It reveals the analytical structure of the solution function. Important properties of overall flow structure including velocity field, temperature field, thermal criticality, and bifurcations are discussed.  相似文献

The elapsed time when the motion ceases to be periodic is obtained by multiple variable expansions. A bounded, mono-peak, and symmetrically distributed probability density function, called λ-PDF, together with the Gegenbauer polynomial approximation, is used in dynamic response problems of random structures. The λ-PDF can reasonably model a variety of random parameters in engineering random structures. The Gegenbauer polynomial approximation can be viewed as a new extension of the weighted residual method into the random space. Both of them can be easily used by scientists and engineers, and applied to a variety of response problems of random structures. The numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method to study dynamic phenomena in random structures.  相似文献

This paper extends the results of Matthies, Skrzypacz, and Tubiska for the Oseen problem to the Navier-Stokes problem. For the stationary incompressible Navier- Stokes equations, a local projection stabilized finite element scheme is proposed. The scheme overcomes convection domination and improves the restrictive inf-sup condition. It not only is a two-level approach but also is adaptive for pairs of spaces defined on the same mesh. Using the approximation and projection spaces defined on the same mesh, the scheme leads to much more compact stencils than other two-level approaches. On the same mesh, besides the class of local projection stabilization by enriching the approximation spaces, two new classes of local projection stabilization of the approximation spaces are derived, which do not need to be enriched by bubble functions. Based on a special interpolation, the stability and optimal prior error estimates are shown. Numerical results agree with some benchmark solutions and theoretical analysis very well.  相似文献

By applying the technique of continuous partition of unity and Tychonoff’s fixed point theorem, some new collectively fixed point theorems for a family of set-valued mappings defined on the product space of noncompact G-convex spaces are proved. As applications, some nonempty intersetion theorems of Ky Fan type for a family of subsets of the product space of G-convex spaces are proved; An existence theorem of solutions for a system of nonlinear inequalities is given in G-convex spaces and some equilibrium existence theorems of abstract economies are also obtained in G-convex spaces. A new system of the set-valued mixed quasi-variational-like inclusions (SSMQVLI) involving H-η-monotone operators is studied in general Banach spaces without uniform smoothness. By using the resolvent operator technique of H-η-monotone operators, a new iterative algorithm for finding approximate solutions to SSMQVLI is proposed. It is shown that the iterative sequences generated by the algorithm converge strongly to the exact solution of SSMQVLI under appropriate assumptions. From the formulas of the conjugate gradient, a similarity between a symmetric positive definite (SPD) matrix A and a tridiagonal matrix B is obtained. The elements of the matrix B are determinedby the parameters of the conjugate gradient. The computation of eigenvalues of A is then reduced to the case of the tridiagonal matrix B. The approximation of extreme eigenvalues of A can be obtained as a by-product in the computation of the conjugate gradient ifa computational cost of O(s) arithmetic operations is added, where s is the number of iterations This computational cost is negligible compared with the conjugate gradient. If the matrix A is not SPD, the approximation of the condition number of A can be obtained from the computation of the conjugate gradient on A~T A. Numerical results show that this is a convenient and highly efficient method for computing extreme eigenvalues and the condition number of nonsingular matrices.  相似文献

First,the notions of the measure of noncompactnees and condensing set- valued mappings are introduced in locally FC-uniform spaces without convexity struc- ture.A new existence theorem of maximal elements of a family of set-valued mappings involving condensing mappings is proved in locally FC-uniform spaces.As applications, some new equilibrium existence theorems of generalized game involving condensing map- pings are established in locally FC-uniform spaces.These results improve and generalize some known results in literature to locally FC-uniform spaces.Some further applications of our results to the systems of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems will be given in a follow-up paper.  相似文献
