A field-induced magnetic transition is observed in quasi-one-dimensional spin system PbCo2V 2O8 by means of magnetic and heat capacity measurements. Our experimental results clearly show that an antiferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition occurs in PbCo2V 2O8, when a magnetic field larger than 4 T is applied. Such a field-induced magnetic transition is quite similar to that observed in isostructural BaCo2V 2O8 or SrCo2V 2O8. Therefore, we suggest that this may be a universal feature in quasi-one-dimensional spin-3 /2 (Co2+) chain systems, ACo2V 2O8.  相似文献

77Se nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements in the Bi2Se3 topological insulator single crystal were carried out at temperatures 15.8, 88, and 293 K. Bismuth selenide single crystalline plate was studied in the orientation when the crystallographic c-axis was parallel to the external magnetic field B0. We observed two component NMR spectra at the three temperatures. It was shown that the NMR spectrum almost did not move with decreasing temperature and the density of charge carriers did not follow the thermal activation law.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivity of epitaxial YBa2Cu3O7?δ thin film as a function of temperature, current density and the magnetic field up to 8 T. The current density dependence of the effective activation energy exhibits a slight increase in the low current density range below 103 A/cm2 and a logarithmic decline in higher current density with increasing current density. The magnetic field dependence of the effective activation energy showed a crossover of vortex state from a quasi-2D for H//ab-plane to a 3D line liquid state for H//c-axis. The possible dissipation mechanisms responsible for the ln H dependence of the effective activation energy were discussed.  相似文献

Mössbauer studies reveal that there are two kinds of Fe3+ spins with completely different characteristics in Lu2Fe3O7: one is an Ising-like property and the other is a Heisenberg-like property in a two-dimensional antiferromagnet on a triangular lattice. The former spin orders ferrimagnetically along thec-axis at around 220 K. The latter spin is lying in thec-plane and a corresponding hyperfine magnetic field is observed at temperatures below 50 K. At very low temperatures, however, the latter spin has a component parallel to thec-axis and couples with the former spin. This finding is consistent with the modulated profile of the magnetic scattering in neutron diffraction and the result of a magnetization measurement.  相似文献

A change in the effect of a frozen magnetic field parallel to the c-axis on rf power absorption, which is associated with the motion of Josephson vortices, is observed in the layered superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 at a low temperature (~15 K). The effect is interpreted as a change in the interaction between an Abrikosov vortex and a Josephson vortex from attraction (at high temperatures) to repulsion (at low temperatures). It is found that the dynamics of the magnetic flux parallel to the ab plane of the single crystal becomes irreversible upon a transition of the superconductor to the layered state. Possible reasons behind the observed effect are considered, one of them being a manifestation of the second superconducting transition in the elementary-excitation spectrum of a d-type superconductor near the core of Abrikosov vortices.  相似文献

The temperature and angular dependence of the X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) and51V nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra have been measured in a recently discovered Haldenegap system, PbNi2-xMgxV2O8 (0≤x≤0.24). The angular dependence of the ESR signal suggests that both the spin diffusion as well as the magnetic anisotropy determine the electronic spin correlation functions. However, in doped samples the magnetic anisotropy increasingly dominates the spin dynamics on cooling. The huge broadening of the51V NMR spectra in doped samples at low temperatures provides evidence for localized magnetic moments in the vicinity of the Mg impurities. Locally distorted structure around each Mg impurity may slightly modify the magnetic interactions and be potentially responsible for the antiferromagnetic ordering (belowT N≈ 3.5K) in doped compositions.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of SrCo2V 2O8 single crystal are investigated by means of ac magnetic susceptibility, dc magnetization and heat capacity measurements. The results show that SrCo2V 2O8 possesses two canted antiferromagnetic transitions at ∼5 and ∼3 K, which is different from isostructural BaCo2V 2O8 with only one antiferromagnetic transition at ∼5 K. We suggest that such different magnetic properties are mainly due to their different structural symmetry.  相似文献

Mössbauer spectra of57Co: LiTaO3 single crystals were recorded in an external longitudinal magnetic field of 6 T at different temperatures between 4.2 K and 150 K. The spectra were taken at two different orientations of the crystallographicc-axis relative to the magnetic field. The line intensities of the Fe3+-subspectra show a temperature dependent anomalous population of the three Kramers doublets of the Fe3+ spinS=5/2 ground state. A relaxation broadening is observed at higher temperatures, which cannot successfully be reproduced within a relaxation model taking into account only the six lowest lying electronic states.  相似文献

The observation of NMR signals from 55Mn nuclei in Mn2Sb has been reported. A temperature variation study of the domain and domain wall signals in Mn2Sb confirms that the magnetization is aligned parallel to the c-axis at temperatures higher than 240 K and that it is in the basal plane below 240 K. The temperature dependence of the anisotropy in the hyperfine field at the Mn(I) and Mn(II) sites has been determined.  相似文献

Mössbauer spectra were measured on single crystals of FeI2 at temperatures between 1.5 and 40°K in magnetic fields up to 6.5 T. The measurements show that the recently discovered magnetic phase transitions on FeI2 are characterized by changes in the ratio of spins parallel and antiparallel to the c-axis. The five magnetic phases have the following ratio of parallel to anti-parallel spins: 6 : 6, 8 : 4, 9 : 3, 10 : 2 and 12 : 0.  相似文献

The anisotropy of superconductivity in highTc superconductors indicates that it is important to clarify the anisotropies of microscopic properties in these materials. In this work, we observed the anisotropy of the lattice vibration ofEu andCu inBa 2 EuCu 3 O 7 by151 Eu and57 Fe Mössbauer effect. Thec-axis aligned samples were prepared by healing the mixture of epoxy andBa 2 EuCu 3 O 7 powder in a magnetic field. For57 Fe Mössbauer measurement the sample doped with57 Fe,Ba 2 Eu(Cu 0.99 Fe 0.01)3 O 7, was used. The temperature dependence of Mössbauer spectrum was measured in two cases,c-axis ‖ γ-ray andc-axis ⊥ γ-ray. The Debye temperature ofEu alongc-axis (230 K) was lower than that inab-plane (265 K). The Debye temperature of57 Fe substituted forCu(2) was lower (378 K) alongc-axis than inab-plane (417 K). The Debye temperature of57 Fe substituted forCu(1) having no oxygen atom ina-axis was 435 K alongc-axis and 416 K inab-plane. These results are interpreted by the oxygen configuration around the Mössbauer atoms.  相似文献

The compound ErCu2Ge2 was studied by neutron diffraction. The diffraction diagram of this compound at 170 K agrees with its crystallographic structure. Its diagram at 1.9 K reveals the existence of superlattice lines consistent with a cell doubled in the a and c directions. The erbium magnetic moment (8.0±0.4)μB lies on the c-axis. Crystal field calculations on the Er3+ site give 7.9μB, with easy magnetization axis the c-axis of the crystal. Copper must contribute to the Vml crystal field parameters with a charge equal to 0.6+.  相似文献

Measurements of non-local in-plane resistance originating from transverse vortex-vortex correlations have been performed on a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ high-Tc superconductor in a magnetic field up to 9 T applied along the crystal c-axis. Our results demonstrate that a rigid vortex lattice does exist over a broad portion of the magnetic field-temperature (H-T) phase diagram, well above the first-order transition (FOT) boundary HFOT(T). The results also provide evidence for the vortex lattice melting and vortex liquid decoupling phase transitions, occurring above the HFOT(T).  相似文献

An O 3 ? defect in Na+ CO 3 2? containing apatite powder has been investigated with ENDOR after X-irradiation. The powder, synthesized by a hydrolysis of octo-calciumphosphate (OCP) and Na2CO3 was dried at 25°C until constant weight was reached. At low temperatures, both31P and1H ENDOR spectra were recorded for different settings of the magnetic field (i.e., when the magnetic field is swept through the EPR O 3 ? spectrum). The ENDOR powder spectra were thoroughly analyzed using computer simulations based on the “orientation selection principle”. Interactions with two types of protons and two types of31P nuclei could be resolved. In this way, a detailed model could be established for the O 3 ? ion in the hydroxyapatite lattice. The defect is located between two successive vacant hydroxyl sites. The axis connecting the two outer oxygen atoms (g y-axis) of the O 3 ? ion is found to be along the hexagonalc-axis of the lattice. The twofold axis of the defect ion (g z-axis) is parallel to theb-axis of the lattice.  相似文献

The Fe2+ fraction observed in the Mössbauer emission spectra of57Co:LiNbO3 and57Co:LiTaO3 exhibits both slow electronic relaxation and nonthermal populations of them s sublevels of the5Alg orbital singlet ground state at low temperatures (T<15 K) in high magnetic fields. The relaxation rates depend on temperature and on the angle ? between the magnetic field and the crystallographicc-axis.  相似文献

We performed the magnetization measurement on Ho1−xDyxNi2B2C single crystals (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.6) with magnetic field applied perpendicular and parallel to the c-axis. But only for the magnetic field perpendicular to the c-axis, the increase of Dy3+ concentration affects the magnetically ordered states of HoNi2B2C compound and makes the phase diagram more complicated. The antiferromagnetic ordering state attributed to Dy3+ sublattice starts to appear from a case of x=0.2 and finally the magnetic phase diagram becomes analogous to that of DyNi2B2C as x is increased which is consistent with the neutron scattering result.  相似文献

We have carried out specific heat measurements on EuIn2P2 at high magnetic fields perpendicular to the c-axis in the hexagonal crystal structure in order to understand its thermal properties. The temperature dependence of the specific heat exhibits a clear λ-type anomaly due to a magnetic transition at , indicating that the magnetic transition is of second-order. The λ-type anomaly becomes markedly broader with increasing the magnetic field. This remarkable field-dependence is consistent with the results of previous magnetization measurements which suggest that Eu2+ magnetic moments align ferromagnetically perpendicular to the c-axis below TC. In addition, a hump in the specific heat is observed around 7 K, which can be ascribed to the Zeeman splitting of the Eu2+ multiplet by internal magnetic fields.  相似文献

An anomalous attenuation peak at 95.5°K has been observed for shear ultrasonic waves transmitted along the c-axis of two holmium single crystals. The velocity change across this temperature is on the order of 10?4. In the presence of an external magnetic field, the peak moves toward high temperatures for both Ha and Hc. A rotation of the field in the basal plane produces a two-fold symmetry pattern in the attenuation. A double peak structure centered at the c-plane has also been observed when the field is rotated away from the a-axis. A considerable fraction of the attenuation peak appears to go as sin2 θ where θ is the angle between the shear wave polarization and the external field.  相似文献

The c-axis resistivity measurements were performed in the vicinity of the ab-plane in order to investigate the interaction between Josephson vortices and pancake vortices in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ mesoscopic single crystals. It was found that the angular dependence of the c-axis resistivity drastically changes in high magnetic field regime. The vortex lock-in transition becomes considerably broad in high magnetic fields, while the angular dependence of resistance exhibits the sharp lock-in features in low magnetic field region.  相似文献

The compound FeP shows, at low temperatures and in zero external magnetic field, a helical spin configuration for iron with a propagation vector along the c-axis as deduced from neutron diffraction studies. We have performed 57Fe Mössbauer measurements in the temperature interval between 295 K and 4.2 K and in an external magnetic field on both powder specimen and single crystals of FeP. The results show a nearly temperature independent electric quadrupole interaction strength eQVzz of 1.34 mm/s and a Néel temperature of 115 K. It was, however, impossible to fit the Mössbauer spectra below TN using a simple double spiral model. Instead a bunched spiral model with the spins crowded along the a-axis gave very good fits. The magnetic hyperfine field was furthermore found to be modulated in the ab-plane. The maximum field of +3.6 T was found along the a-direction while the overall field, presumably spread over all other directions, was 0.2 T. The measurements in external magnetic field showed that the grains become partially oriented with the basal plane parallel to the external field.  相似文献
