The effect of electric-field-induced reduction of the “effective” dimension is detected in the multidimensional problem of diffusion in a medium with absorbing traps. An effective transition to the 1D case occurs due to directional motion of a particle when it begins to dominate over diffusion. A universal “1D” dependence of the particle survival probability in a multidimensional medium with absorbing traps over long times has been established.  相似文献

We present a detailed comparison of the motion of a classical and of a quantum particle in the presence of trapping sites, within the framework of continuous-time classical and quantum random walk. The main emphasis is on the qualitative differences in the temporal behavior of the survival probabilities of both kinds of particles. As a general rule, static traps are far less efficient to absorb quantum particles than classical ones. Several lattice geometries are successively considered: an infinite chain with a single trap, a finite ring with a single trap, a finite ring with several traps, and an infinite chain and a higher-dimensional lattice with a random distribution of traps with a given density. For the latter disordered systems, the classical and the quantum survival probabilities obey a stretched exponential asymptotic decay, albeit with different exponents. These results confirm earlier predictions, and the corresponding amplitudes are evaluated. In the one-dimensional geometry of the infinite chain, we obtain a full analytical prediction for the amplitude of the quantum problem, including its dependence on the trap density and strength.  相似文献

含发光中心的纳米粒子在介质中随机分布,造成局域介质相对折射率的随机分布,导致了纳米粒子辐射寿命的涨落.分析纳米粒子数量在线度为发射光波长量级的体积内的概率密度,由此得出局域介质相对折射率的概率密度.通过纳米粒子辐射寿命对折射率的依赖关系,得到纳米粒子辐射寿命概率密度的解析表达.在此基础上,分析了Meltzer等人的实验中,含Eu3+离子的Y2O3粒子在甲醇溶液中辐射寿命的相对偏移量的涨落,并得出辐射寿命的不确定度(均方差)与纳米粒子体积、体积密度等物理量的关系.  相似文献

Identification of the diffusion type of molecules in living cells is crucial to deduct their driving forces and hence to get insight into the characteristics of the cells. In this paper, deep residual networks have been used to classify the trajectories of molecules. We started from the well known ResNet architecture, developed for image classification, and carried out a series of numerical experiments to adapt it to detection of diffusion modes. We managed to find a model that has a better accuracy than the initial network, but contains only a small fraction of its parameters. The reduced size significantly shortened the training time of the model. Moreover, the resulting network has less tendency to overfitting and generalizes better to unseen data.  相似文献

Using the method of thermally stimulated luminescence, the phenomenon of spatial modulation of the capture cross section (St) of electron traps with a level of Ec − 0.18 eV in powdery luminophors Zn0.97Cd0.03S 〈Cu, Cl〉 with green luminescence and ZnS〈Ag, Cl〉 with blue luminescence by a collective electric field of macroinhomogeneity has been investigated. The maximum value of the effect (width of the range of values of St) attains five orders of magnitude, with the size of the powder grains being of order 1 µm. A model is suggested, according to which traps with Ec − 0.18 eV with an extended range of values of St represent an isolated anionic vacancy in a region of the collective field of macroscopic inhomogeneity that is the negatively charged surface of the powder grains. The extension of the range of values of St is the result of modulation of the kinetic parameters of electron traps Ec − 0.18 eV depending on the spatial position occupied by the anionic vacancy relative to the surface of the powder grains.__________Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 72, No. 2, pp. 202–206, March–April, 2005.  相似文献

We analyse certain conservative interacting particle system and establish ergodicity of the system for a family of invariant measures. Furthermore, we show that convergence rate to equilibrium is exponential. This result is of interest because it presents counterexample to the standard assumption of physicists that conservative system implies polynomial rate of convergence. Anomalous diffusion models for random 1-D cluster and comb structures of length L = 100 with finite fingers and different boundary conditions are considered. The effect of electric field on anomalous diffusion is discussed. The cases with different percolation radii are compared. The comb-structure model with periodic boundary conditions is shown to be useful in studying various types of anomalous diffusion. A new diffusion type, where the average rate is higher than the typical rate, is predicted. Physical causes for this diffusion are revealed.  相似文献

The dynamic process of light-induced agglomeration of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), C60 and Escherichia coli (E.eoli) in aqueous solutions is demonstrated using an optical tweezers system. Based on the results, the diameter of the agglomerated region and the agglomeration rate increase with the increasing laser power. After the saturation-stable period, CNTs diffuse completely, C60 clusters only diffuse partially, and E. coli never diffuses in the agglomeration region. Theoretical analyses show that the molecular polarization and thermal diffusion of particles play crucial roles in the diffusion process.
