Homogenization of Elliptic Problems with Neumann Boundary Conditions in Non-smooth Domains

We consider a family of second-order elliptic operators {L_ε} in divergence form with rapidly oscillating and periodic coefficients in Lipschitz and convex domains in R~n. We are able to show that the uniform W~(1,p) estimate of second order elliptic systems holds for 2n/(n+1)-δ p 2n/(n-1)+ δ where δ 0 is independent of ε and the ranges are sharp for n = 2, 3. And for elliptic equations in Lipschitz domains, the W~(1,p) estimate is true for 3/2-δ p 3 + δ if n ≥ 4, similar estimate was extended to convex domains for 1 p ∞.     

Neumann Problem of Quasilinear Elliptic Equations with Limit Nonlinearity in Boundary Condition

This paper is concerned with the existence of solutions to the equation D_j(a^{ij}(x,u)D_i,u)-\frac{1}{2}D_sa^{ij}(x,u)D_iuD_ju + λ u = 0 on a bounded domain under the Neumann boundary condition a{ij}(x,u)D_iuϒ_j = lul^{\frac{2}{n-2}}u.     

Behavior of Solutions to the Dirichlet Problem for Elliptic Systems in Convex Domains

We consider the Dirichlet problem for strongly elliptic systems of order 2m in convex domains. Under a positivity assumption on the Poisson kernel it is proved that the weak solution has bounded derivatives up to order m provided the outward unit normal has no big jumps on the boundary. In the case of second order symmetric systems in plane convex domains the boundedness of the first derivatives is proved without the assumption on the normal.

Mixed Boundary Value Problems for Nonlinear Elliptic Systems with p‐Structure in Polyhedral Domains

The nonlinear elliptic system is investigated on a non‐smooth domain. Mixed boundary value conditions are given. The left‐hand side of the system has p‐structure (e.g., it is the p‐Laplacian and 1 < p < ∞). Global regularity results of u and |∇u|^p/2 in fractional order Sobolev spaces are proven.

一类Sturm-Liouville问题特征的渐近分析

考虑[0,1]上带第三类边界条件的S-L问题特征值的渐近表示.利用已有的渐近性结果及Fr啨chet导数技术,对特征值进行了精细的分析,清楚地给出了边界条件中的常数(h,H)对特征值的影响.本文的工作对S-L问题的一类反谱问题及相关微分方程反问题的唯一性结果有着重要的应用,也为专著[4,6]中的某些关键结果提供了一个简化的证明途径.     

On the Existence of Positive Solutions of Quasilinear Elliptic Equations with Mixed Boundary Conditions

In this paper, the existence of positive solutions for the mixed boundary problem of quasilinear elliptic equation {-div (|∇u|^{p-2}∇u) = |u|^{p^∗-2}u + f(x, u), \quad u > 0, \quad x ∈ Ω u|_Γ_0 = 0, \frac{∂u}{∂\overrightarrow{n}}|_Γ_1 = 0 is obtained, where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in R^N, ∂Ω = \overrightarrow{Γ}_0 ∪ \overrightarrow{Γ}_1, 2 ≤ p < N, p^∗ = \frac{Np}{N-p}, Γ_0 and Γ_1 are disjoint open subsets of ∂Ω.

退化椭圆问题的最小二乘混合有限元方法

本文研究了电磁场中关于共振现象的一类退化的椭圆问题 ,提出了最小二乘混合有限元方法 .这一方法的好处是可以去掉传统混合元空间的LBB条件所得到的系数矩阵是对称正定的 ,使得法语解更加方便 .本文得到了最小二乘混合有限元方法的L2 和H1估计 .

Complex Powers of the Neumann Laplacian in Lipschitz Domains

Hölder Regularity for Nonhomogeneous Elliptic Systems with Nonlinearity Greater than Two

Regularity results for elliptic systems of second order quasilinear PDEs with nonlinear growth of order q > 2 are proved, extending results of [7] and [10]. In particular Hölder regularity of the solutions is obtained if the dimension n is less than or equal to q + 2.     

Nonhomogeneous Neumann problem for the Poisson equation in domains with an external cusp

In this work we analyze the existence and regularity of the solution of a nonhomogeneous Neumann problem for the Poisson equation in a plane domain Ω with an external cusp. In order to prove that there exists a unique solution in H¹(Ω) using the Lax–Milgram theorem we need to apply a trace theorem. Since Ω is not a Lipschitz domain, the standard trace theorem for H¹(Ω) does not apply, in fact the restriction of H¹(Ω) functions is not necessarily in L²(∂Ω). So, we introduce a trace theorem by using weighted Sobolev norms in Ω. Under appropriate assumptions we prove that the solution of our problem is in H²(Ω) and we obtain an a priori estimate for the second derivatives of the solution.
