We consider quantum plasmas of electrons and motionless ions. We describe separate evolution of spin-up and spin-down electrons. We present corresponding set of quantum hydrodynamic equations. We assume that plasmas are placed in an uniform external magnetic field. We account different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium degenerate plasmas. This effect is included via equations of state for pressure of each species of electrons. We study oblique propagation of longitudinal waves. We show that instead of two well-known waves (the Langmuir wave and the Trivelpiece–Gould wave), plasmas reveal four wave solutions. New solutions exist due to both the separate consideration of spin-up and spin-down electrons and different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium state of degenerate plasmas.  相似文献

对于无限大尺寸两腿自旋1/2的XXZ自旋梯子模型,通过运用基于随机行走的张量网络(TN)算法数值模拟出基态波函数,首次尝试研究自旋梯子模型的约化保真度、普适序参量、纠缠熵等物理观测量,并系统研究基态保真度的三维挤点与二维分叉、约化保真度的分叉、局域序参量、普适序参量、纠缠熵和量子相变之间存在的关联关系.基于张量网络表示的算法在任意随机选择初始状态时,可以得到两腿XXZ量子自旋梯子系统简并的对称破缺基态波函数,该基态波函数是由于Z2对称破缺引起的.本文期望所提供的方法可为进一步研究凝聚态物质中热力学极限下的强关联电子量子晶格自旋梯子系统的量子相变和量子临界现象提供一种更有效的强大的工具.  相似文献

Inelastic neutron scattering with high wave-vector resolution has characterized the propagation of transverse spin wave modes near the antiferromagnetic zone center in the metastable domain state of a random field Ising magnet. A well-defined, long wavelength excitation is observed despite the absence of long-range magnetic order. Direct comparisons with the spin wave dispersion in the long-range ordered antiferromagnetic state reveal no measurable effects from the domain structure. This result recalls analogous behavior in thermally disordered anisotropic spin chains but contrasts sharply with that of the phonon modes in relaxor ferroelectrics. An exciton in a disc-like quantum dot (QD) with the parabolic confinement, under applied electric field, is studied within the framework of the effective-mass approximation. Both the electric field and the confinement effects on the transition energy and the oscillator strength were investigated. Based on the computed energies and wave functions, the linear, the third-order nonlinear and the total optical absorption coefficients were also calculated. We found that the optical absorption coefficients with considering excitonic effects are stronger than those without considering excitonic effects and the absorption peak will move to the right side induced by the electron-hole interaction, which shows an excitonic effect blue-shift of the resonance in QDs. The applied electric field may affect either the size or the position of absorption peaks of excitons. However, the applied electric field may only affect the size of absorption peaks of an electron-hole pair without considering excitonic effects. It is very important to take excitonic effects into account when we study the optical absorption for disc-like QDs. We may observe the excitonic effect induced by the external electric field.  相似文献

In this paper, we studied the effects of an electric field on a hydrogenic impurity confined in a spherical parabolic quantum dot using nondegenerate and degenerate perturbation methods. The binding energies of the ground and three low-excited states are calculated as a function of the confinement strength and as a function of the intensity of an applied electric field. Moreover, we computed the oscillator strength and the second-order nonlinear optical rectification coefficient based on the computed energies and wave functions. The results show that the electric and optical properties of hydrogenic impurity states are strongly affected by the confinement strength and the applied electric field.  相似文献

We study the thermospin effects in a system consisting of a quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads. It is shown that sign reversal and oscillation of spin Seebeck coefficient are indicated as a function of device parameters. When the magnetizations of the leads are formed in parallel alignment, the spin Seebeck coefficient and the spin-FOM have their maximum values for the symmetric dot-lead coupling case. However, in the antiparallel case, the optimal device parameters depend mainly on the strength of the magnetic field.  相似文献

The spin-resolved edge states transport in a normal/ferromagnetic/normal topological insulator (TI) junction is investigated numerically. It is shown that the transport properties of the hybrid junction strongly depend on the interface shape. For the junction with two sharp interfaces, a nonzero spin conductance can be generated besides the spin-split energy windows. Moreover, the axial symmetries of the in-plane spin conductance amplitude are broken. The underlying physics is attributed to the sharp-interface-induced quantum interference effect. However, for the hybrid junction with two smooth interfaces, a non-zero spin conductance can only be achieved in the spin-split energy windows. Further, the axial symmetries of the in-plane spin conductance amplitude recover. These findings may not only benefit to further apprehend the spin-dependent edge states transport in the hybrid TI junctions but also provide some theoretical bases to the application of the topological spintronics devices.  相似文献

The generation of pure quadrupolar stimulated-echo spectra is successfully demonstrated for the spin- probe 9Be in a single crystal of triglycine fluoberyllate. This solid exhibits a paraelectric-to-ferroelectric phase transition. From experiments carried out for various mixing times no indications for a slow soft mode could be detected in this crystal. Then ion conducting lithium metal phosphates were studied using 7Li, another spin- probe which allows for a non-selective excitation of the entire NMR spectrum. In the indium and the scandium phosphates ultra-slow Li hopping processes could be detected directly via the stimulated-echo technique in a time range of up to four orders of magnitude. Due to the relatively large gyromagnetic ratio and thus strong dipolar interactions of 7Li no pure quadrupolar echoes could be generated. However, from a variation of the evolution times the quadrupolar effects could be separated from the dipolar ones. Finally, the differences in the ion hopping times of lithium indium phosphate and of lithium scandium phosphate are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Surface acoustic waves are used to effectively convert photogenerated excitons in a piezoelectric semiconductor quantum well into long-lived electron–hole polarizations. The strong lateral piezoelectric fields ionize the excitons and spatially separate the resulting electrons and holes. The strongly reduced wave function overlap results in very long storage times for this polarization which propagates across the sample at the speed of sound. External and deliberate screening of the piezoelectric fields triggers radiative recombination after long delay times and at a remote location of the sample.  相似文献

We describe the quantum theory and the photon statistics of self amplified spontaneous emission (SASE) in a high gain free electron laser (FEL) using Glauber's quantum theory of coherence. We generalize a previous theory by taking into account many-mode effects and the initiation process resulting from classical shot noise, quantum noise, an injected coherent field and coherent bunching. In particular, we define the concept of quantum SASE which is appropriate when the initial quantum fluctuations dominate over the classical shot noise. We also discuss the conditions for the observation. Quantum SASE is a new quantum phenomenon in which the single electron uncertainty fluctuations of the conjugate variables position and momentum produce exponential amplification of the vacuum field.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe in detail the BMV (Biréfringence Magnétique du Vide) experiment, a novel apparatus to study the propagation of light in a transverse magnetic field. It is based on a very high finesse Fabry-Perot cavity and on pulsed magnets specially designed for this purpose. If one applies an rf magnetic field parallel to a strong static field, temperature of a ferromagnetic substance rises due to ferromagnetic resonance. This phenomenon finds immediate application in the field of hyperthermic oncology. In this work, we have found expression for the increase in temperature when a ferromagnetic material is placed under a static and a varying magnetic field of high frequency through spin wave approach. The numerical value of this increment of local temperature has been estimated for yttrium iron garnet (YIG). We also have examined the possibility of enhancing the temperature of a ferromagnetic material only by applying a strong static field.  相似文献

We study the optical absorptions of an exciton in a quantum ring. The quantum ring is described as a circular quantum dot with a repulsive core. The advantage of our methodology is that one can investigate the influence of the repulsive core by varying two parameters in the confinement potential. The linear, third-order nonlinear and total optical absorption coefficients have been examined with the change of the confinement potential. The results show that the optical absorptions are strongly affected by the repulsive core. Moreover, the repulsive core can influence the oscillation in the resonant peak of the absorption coefficients.  相似文献

In this work, computational methods were utilized to optimize the field produced by the transverse electromagnetic (TEM) resonator in the presence of the human head at 8 Tesla. Optimization was achieved through the use of the classical finite difference time domain (FDTD) method and a TEM resonator loaded with an anatomically detailed human head model with a resolution of 2 mm × 2 mm × 2 mm. The head model was developed from 3D MR images. To account for the electromagnetic interactions between the coil and the tissue, the coil and the head were treated as a single system at all the steps of the model including, numerical tuning and excitation. In addition to 2, 3, 4, 6, and 10-port excitations, an antenna array concept was utilized by driving all the possible ports (24) of a 24-strut TEM resonator. The results show that significant improvement in the circularly polarized component of the transverse magnetic field could be obtained when using multiple ports and variable phase and fixed magnitude, or variable phase and variable magnitude excitations.  相似文献

We study the photon statistics of the field emitted from a semiconductor microcavity containing a quantum well. We present an analytical expression of the autocorrelation function in non-resonant pumping. Within the framework of the effective-mass approximation, we have calculated the combined effects of hydrostatic pressure, temperature and applied electric field on an exciton confined in a typical GaAs/Ga0.7Al0.3As quantum dot. Several inputs of the confinement potential, hydrostatic pressure, temperature, and applied electric field have been considered. Our findings suggest that (1) the effect of the confinement strength is dominant over the electric field effect, (2) the oscillator strength is an increasing function of the hydrostatic pressure, (3) the absorption coefficients and energy difference depend strongly on the hydrostatic pressure but weakly on the temperature, (4) the absorption coefficients with considering excitonic effects are stronger than those without considering excitonic effects and the absorption peak will move to the right side induced by the electron-hole interaction, (5) the applied electric field may effect either the size or the position of absorption peaks of excitons.  相似文献

We review our recent developments of near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM) that uses an active tip made of a single fluorescent nanodiamond (ND) grafted onto the apex of a substrate fiber tip. The ND hosting a limited number of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) color centers, such a tip is a scanning quantum source of light. The method for preparing the ND-based tips and their basic properties are summarized. Then we discuss theoretically the concept of spatial resolution that is achievable in this special NSOM configuration and find it to be only limited by the scan height over the imaged system, in contrast with the standard aperture-tip NSOM whose resolution depends critically on both the scan height and aperture diameter. Finally, we describe a scheme we have introduced recently for high-resolution imaging of nanoplasmonic structures with ND-based tips that is capable of approaching the ultimate resolution anticipated by theory.  相似文献
