Single-walled carbon nanohorn (SWCNH) paste electrode was used for amperometric determination of concentrated hydrogen peroxide, and was compared with other carbon electrodes. The calibration plots are linear from 0.5 to 100 mM at activated SWCNH paste electrode and edge plane graphite (EPG) electrode. In contrast, the calibration plots are linear only at concentrations lower than 45 mM at graphite paste electrode, multi-walled carbon nanotube paste electrode, and glassy carbon electrode. Our results show that SWCNH paste electrode and EPG electrode are interesting alternatives to high surface area platinum electrode for determination of concentrated hydrogen peroxide. Because of its high-purity, metal-free SWCNH is a user-friendly and attractive material for electrochemical study.  相似文献

In this work we report on the analytical performance of glassy carbon electrodes modified with a dispersion of multi-wall carbon nanotubes in polyethylenimine (GCE/(PEI/CNT)). The resulting electrodes show an excellent electrocatalytic activity toward different bioanalytes like ascorbic acid, dopamine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (dopac) and hydrogen peroxide. An important decrease in the overvoltages for the oxidation of ascorbic acid (505 mV) and hydrogen peroxide (350 mV) and for the reduction of hydrogen peroxide (450 mV), as well as a dramatic improvement in the reversibility of the electrochemical behavior of dopamine and dopac is obtained. The currents are higher than those obtained with other dispersant agents like Nafion, concentrated acids or chitosan, evidencing the high efficiency of the dispersion in PEI. The GCE/(PEI/CNT) demonstrated to be highly reproducible, with 3.0% RSD for the sensitivity of hydrogen peroxide for 10 electrodes prepared with five different dispersions. Differences in sensitivity of 10.0% were obtained for hydrogen peroxide with electrodes prepared using the same dispersion even after 14 days preparation. The CNT/PEI layer immobilized on glassy carbon electrodes has been also used as a platform for building supramolecular architectures based on the self-assembling of polyelectrolytes without any pretreatment of the electrode surface, oxidation or derivatization of the carbon nanotubes, just taking advantages of the polycationic nature of the polymer used for dispersing the nanotubes. The self-assembling of glucose oxidase has allowed us to obtain a supramolecular multistructure for glucose biosensing, with detection limits of 11 μM (0.02 g/L). Such an excellent performance of GCE/(PEI/CNT) toward hydrogen peroxide and the effectiveness of the use of CNT/PEI as a platform for obtaining supramolecular multistructures, represents a very good alternative for developing other enzymatic biosensors.  相似文献

An enzyme-free amperometric glucose sensor of gold nanoparticle-constituted nanotube array electrode is presented. The resulted gold nanotube array electrode with significantly enhanced surface roughness shows prominent catalytic activity toward the electrooxidation of glucose in a pH 7.4 phosphate buffer (PBS) solution and thus can be used to individually or simultaneously determine glucose and the common interfering molecule of ascorbic acid (AA). In the case of glucose detection, the amperometric responses show a linear relationship to glucose concentration in the range of 1 mM–42.5 mM with a detection limit down to 10 μM. The present non-enzymatic glucose electrochemical biosensor shows a good stability and reproducibility.  相似文献

The arrays of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were fabricated on flexible and transparent single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) films using the electrochemical deposition method, and the patterned nanotubes were then used as electrodes for hydroxylamine detection. The sizes and densities of the AuNPs could easily be controlled by varying the amount of charge deposited, and the gold-deposited area showed a homogeneous distribution on the exposed SWCNT film surface. X-ray diffraction analysis of the AuNPs shows a face-centered cubic structure that is dominated by the lowest energy {111} facets. The oxidation of the hydroxylamine on the AuNP-deposited SWCNT films depended strongly on the solution pH, and the maximum catalytic current was observed at a pH of 9.0. A linear electrical response was observed for concentrations ranging from 0.016 to 0.210 mM, and the detection limit and the sensitivity were 0.72 μM and 165.90 μAmM?1 cm?2, respectively. Moreover, the amperometric response in hydroxylamine showed a stable response for a long time (300 s), during which time it retained 94% of its initial value. In the long-term storage stability test, the current response to hydroxylamine decreased slightly, with only 17% leakage after 30 days.  相似文献

This study describes a simple and reliable method for the electrochemical determination of nitrite based on poly(amidoamine)-modified carbon nanotubes. Amine-terminated poly(amidoamine) (generation 4.0, G4-NH4) were covalently attached onto multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT)-modified glass carbon (GC) electrodes (written as G4-NH4/MWNT-modified GC) and which were used for the electrochemical determination of nitrite. The studies show that the G4-NH4/MWNT-modified electrodes demonstrated significantly enhanced electrochemical activity towards nitrite oxidation. Chronoamperometry studies reveal that the amperometric response is rapid, stable, and offers a linear dependence over a wide range of nitrite concentrations from 5 μM to 1.5 mM. The proposed method can be used for the continuous monitoring of nitrite in real samples. The electrochemical properties of the G4-NH4/MWNT nanocomposites are reasonably envisaged to be promising for providing a nanostructured platform in the development of electrochemical sensors or biosensors.  相似文献

Herein, we report a rapid and facile fabrication of Ag/C hybrid by anchoring Ag nanoparticles in amorphous carbon network for application in amperometric sensing of hydrogen peroxide. Ag/C hybrid was prepared by simply mixing silver nitrate aqueous solution with ethylene glycol and diphosphorus pentoxide in one step at room temperature. The embedding of Ag nanoparticles into the amorphous carbon support can greatly strengthen the stability of Ag nanoparticles, protecting them from oxidizing without loss of conductivity. The nanocomposite was investigated by transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, X-ray diffraction technique, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical measurements. The prepared Ag/C hybrid was fabricated onto the surface of glassy carbon electrode to investigate the sensing property towards hydrogen peroxide. The fabricated electrochemical sensor can determine hydrogen peroxide with a detection limit of 0.1 μM and up to 5.5 mM.  相似文献

Carbon nanotube/cobalt oxide core-shell one-dimensional nanostructures were prepared via a hydrothermal synthesis method, in which nanosize cobalt oxide crystals were homogeneously coated on the surface of carbon nanotubes. The morphologies and crystal structures of the as-prepared core-shell nanocomposites were analysed by X-ray diffraction, field emission gun scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. When applied as anodes in lithium-ion cells, carbon nanotube/cobalt oxide core-shell nanostructures exhibited an initial lithium storage capacity of 1250 mAh/g and a stable capacity of 530 mAh/g over 100 cycles. The good electrochemical performance could be attributed to the nanocrystalline cobalt oxide and the unique core-shell one-dimensional nanostructures.  相似文献

By grafting with poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer, novel carbon nanotube (CNT) nano-composites have been successfully prepared. The novel functionalized matrix with plenty amino groups circumvents the troublesome solubility problem of CNTs in solvents, especially in water, greatly expanding the scope of the application of carbon nanotubes. The GOx and HRP immobilized CNT-PAMAM based on the functional CNTs was synthesized. The bi-enzymatic CNT-PAMAM nano-composites are highly dispersible in water and show very promising applications in the fabrication of mediator-free bi-enzymatic biosensors for sensitive detection of glucose. The cooperation of nano-composite between CNT and high dense GOx and HRP results in very high sensitivity to glucose with a current response of 2200 nA mM−1 and fast response (∼1 s). The modified electrode exhibits a wide linear response range for glucose from 4.0 μM to 1.2 mM (R = 0.9971, N = 15), with a detection limit of 2.5 μM. The negative electrode potential of −0.34 V is favorable for glucose detection in real samples without interference caused by other biomolecules.  相似文献

Zinc oxide nanotube (ZNT) arrays were grown on Si/Ag substrate by one-step chemical process in an aqueous solution and further used as a working electrode to fabricate an enzyme-based cholesterol biosensor through immobilization of cholesterol oxidase (ChOx). The fabricated biosensors exhibit high and reproducible sensitivity of 79.40 μA/mM/cm2, wide linear range from 1.0 μM to 13.0 mM, fast response time of ~ 2 s and ultra-low detection limit of 0.5 nM (S/N = 3) for cholesterol sensing. The anti-interference ability and long-term stability of the biosensor were also assessed. Finally, the biosensor was applied to analyze cholesterol concentration in human serum samples.  相似文献

A novel chitosan-carboxylated multiwall carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon electrode (MC/GCE) was developed to investigate the oxidation behavior of nitrite using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry modes. The electrochemical mechanism of the MC/GCE towards nitrite was discussed. The MC/GCE exhibited fast response towards nitrite with a detection limit of 1 × 10−7 mol l−1 and a linear range of 5 × 10−7–1 × 10−4 mol l−1. The possible interference from several common ions was tested. The proposed method was successfully applied in the detection of nitrite in real samples.  相似文献

A novel sensor based on a screen-printed electrode (SPE) modified with a stable dispersion of commercially available carbon black (CB) N220 was developed. This probe showed significantly enhanced electrochemical activity relative to a bare SPE when tested with ferricyanide, epinephrine, norepinephrine, benzoquinone and NADH. When challenged in amperometric batch mode with NADH, the response was stable and revealed a linear dependence up to 2·10?4 mol L?1 with a detection limit of 3·10?7 mol L?1. The analytical performance, coupled with the low cost of the CB nanomaterial, suggests that this sensor holds promise for electrochemical applications.  相似文献

A novel modified multiwall carbon nanotubes paste electrode with sodium dodecyl sulfate as a surfactant (SDS) has been fabricated through an electrochemical oxidation procedure and was used to electrochemically detect dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA), and their mixture by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential voltammetry (DPV) methods. Several factors affecting the electrocatalytic activity of the hybrid material, such as the effect of pH, of the scan rate and of the concentration were studied. The bare carbon nanotubes paste electrode (BCNTPE) and SDS-modified carbon nanotubes paste electrode (SDSMCNTPE) were characterized using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) and Energy-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Using the CV procedure, a linear analytical curve was observed in the 1 × 10−6–2.8 × 10−5 M range with a detection limit at 3.3 × 10−7 M in pH 6.5, 0.2 M phosphate buffer solutions (PBS).  相似文献

Titania nanotube arrays were fabricated by anodic oxidation of titanium foil in different electrolytes. The morphology, crystallinity and composition of the as-prepared nanotube arrays were studied by XRD, SEM and EDX. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was employed to investigate their electrical conductivity and capacitance. Titania nanotube arrays co-adsorbed with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and thionine chloride (Th) were studied for their sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide by means of cyclic voltammetric and galvanostatic measurements. The experiments showed that TiO2 nanotube arrays possessed appreciably different sensitivities to H2O2 due to their different conductivity. Further experiments revealed that TiO2 nanotubes have noticeably different ability of adsorbing HRP and Th, and the best sensitivity was achieved when the density of HRP is the highest. The TiO2 nanotube arrays fabricated in potassium fluoride solution demonstrated the best sensitivity on hydrogen peroxide in the range of 10−5–3 × 10−3 M at pH 6.7 and at a potential of −600 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl).  相似文献

Silver nanoparticle coated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Ag/MWCNT) were prepared and used to fabricate a modified electrode. The Ag/MWCNT composites were observed by a transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the electrochemical properties of the Ag/MWCNT composite modified glassy carbon electrode were characterized by electrochemical measurements. The results showed that these composites had a favorable catalytic ability for the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCAA). Square wave voltammetric (SWV) technique was applied to detect TCAA. Under optimum conditions, the voltammetric determination of TCAA was performed with a linear range of 5.0 × 10? 6–1.2 × 10? 4 mol L? 1 and a detection limit of 1.9 × 10? 6 mol L? 1 (S/N = 3).  相似文献

A highly sensitive method for electrochemical detection of daunorubicin (DNR) was proposed on the carbon nanotubes (CNT) modified electrode. The supramolecular interaction between the CNT and the anthracyclin could significantly enhance the electron transferability, which sharply increased the detection sensitivity and lowered the detection limit. Under the optimized conditions, the linear range of the DNR detection was 20–500 nM with a detection sensitivity of 5.9 nA/nM. The detection of the DNR in the serum samples was also attempted. It can be predicted that many more analogues could be monitored on such a platform with high sensitivity.  相似文献

Electrically conducting super-macroporous carbon nanotube/polymer cryogel nanocomposites were fabricated by a novel approach based on deposition of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) onto the inner surface of pre-formed cryogels assisted by cryogenic treatment. Stable aqueous dispersions of multi-walled and single-walled carbon nanotubes were firstly obtained by non-covalent modification of pristine nanotubes with either pyrene containing polydimethylacrylamide or poly(ethylene oxide)26-b-poly(propylene oxide)40-b-poly(ethylene oxide)26 copolymers and, then, exploited for the preparation of nanocomposites. The mechanical and electrical properties of nanocomposite materials were measured and compared to similar materials prepared by established method. The novel approach provided super-macroporous nanocomposites with high electrical conductivity (>10?2 S/m) at much lower nanotube content (0.12 wt.%).  相似文献

TiO2@Sn core–shell nanotube material prepared by thermal decomposition of SnCl4 on TiO2 nanotubes at 300 °C has been demonstrated superior Li-ion storage capability of 176 mA h/g even at high current rate of 4000 mA/g (charge and discharge of all TiO2 within 5 min) in spite of using low carbon content (5 wt%). This value corresponds to volumetric energy densities of 317 mA h/cm3, and its value was 3.5-fold larger than that of the bare TiO2 nanotubes.  相似文献
