In this paper we study nonlinear second-order differential inclusions involving the ordinary vectorp-Laplacian, a multivalued maximal monotone operator and nonlinear multivalued boundary conditions. Our framework is general and unifying and incorporates gradient systems, evolutionary variational inequalities and the classical boundary value problems, namely the Dirichlet, the Neumann and the periodic problems. Using notions and techniques from the nonlinear operator theory and from multivalued analysis, we obtain solutions for both the ‘convex’ and ‘nonconvex’ problems. Finally, we present the cases of special interest, which fit into our framework, illustrating the generality of our results.  相似文献

In a previous paper [4], we proved the existence of solutions to −div a(x, grad u) = f , together with appropriate boundary conditions, whenever a(x, e) belongs, for every fixed x, to a certain class of maximal monotone graphs in e. Here, we derive the corresponding homogenization result, letting a(x, e) depend upon a parameter ε, and imposing adequate ε-uniform boundedness and coercivity properties. The resulting homogenized graphs belong to the same class of maximal monotone graphs. Our results do not assume any kind of periodicity.   相似文献

We consider an abstract first-order evolutionary inclusion in a reflexive Banach space. The inclusion contains the sum of L-pseudomonotone operator and a maximal monotone operator. We provide an existence theorem which is a generalization of former results known in the literature. Next, we apply our result to the case of nonlinear variational–hemivariational inequalities considered in the setting of an evolution triple of spaces. We specify the multivalued operators in the problem and obtain existence results for several classes of variational–hemivariational inequality problems. Finally, we illustrate our existence result and treat a class of quasilinear parabolic problems under nonmonotone and multivalued flux boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper we study semilinear second order differential inclusions involving a multivalued maximal monotone operator. Using notions and techniques from the nonlinear operator theory and from multivalued analysis, we obtain “extremal” solutions and we prove a strong relaxation theorem. In this paper, we study second order differential inclusions in with a maximal monotone term and generalized boundary conditions. The nonlinear differential operator need not be necessary homogeneous and incorporates as a special case the one-dimensional p-Laplacian. The generalized boundary conditions incorporate as special cases well-known problems such as the Dirichlet (Picard), Neumann and periodic problems. As application to the proven results we obtain existence theorems for both “convex” and “nonconvex” problems when the maximal monotone term A is defined everywhere and when not (case of variational inequalities).  相似文献

In this paper we study nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems with monotone and nonmonotone multivalued nonlinearities. First we consider the case of monotone nonlinearities. In the first result we assume that the multivalued nonlinearity is defined on all ℝ. Assuming the existence of an upper and of a lower solution, we prove the existence of a solution between them. Also for a special version of the problem, we prove the existence of extremal solutions in the order interval formed by the upper and lower solutions. Then we drop the requirement that the monotone nonlinearity is defined on all of ℝ. This case is important because it covers variational inequalities. Using the theory of operators of monotone type we show that the problem has a solution. Finally in the last part we consider an eigenvalue problem with a nonmonotone multivalued nonlinearity. Using the critical point theory for nonsmooth locally Lipschitz functionals we prove the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions (multiplicity theorem).  相似文献

This is the first part of a work on second order nonlinear, nonmonotone evolution inclusions defined in the framework of an evolution triple of spaces and with a multivalued nonlinearity depending on both x(t) and x(t). In this first part we prove existence and relaxation theorems. We consider the case of an usc, convex valued nonlinearity and we show that for this problem the solution set is nonempty and compact in C^1 (T, H). Also we examine the Isc, nonconvex case and again we prove the existence of solutions. In addition we establish the existence of extremal solutions and by strengthening our hypotheses, we show that the extremal solutions are dense in C^1 (T, H) to the solutions of the original convex problem (strong relaxation). An example of a nonlinear hyperbolic optimal control problem is also discussed.  相似文献

Let φ be a power series with positive Taylor coefficients {a k } k=0 and non-zero radius of convergence r ≤ ∞. Let ξ x , 0 ≤ x < r be a random variable whose values α k , k = 0, 1, …, are independent of x and taken with probabilities a k x k /φ(x), k = 0, 1, …. The positive linear operator (A φ f)(x):= E[f(ξ x )] is studied. It is proved that if E(ξ x ) = x, E(ξ x 2) = qx 2 + bx + c, q, b, cR, q > 0, then A φ reduces to the Szász-Mirakyan operator in the case q = 1, to the limit q-Bernstein operator in the case 0 < q < 1, and to a modification of the Lupaş operator in the case q > 1.  相似文献

Under the proper structure conditions on the nonlinear term f(u) and weight function b(x), the paper shows the uniqueness and asymptotic behavior near the boundary of boundary blow-up solutions to the porous media equations of logistic type −Δu = a(x)u 1/m b(x)f(u) with m > 1.  相似文献

In this paper we consider second order differential inclusions in real Hilbert space, namely p(t)⋅x(t)+r(t)⋅x(t)∈Ax(t)+F(t,x(t)), a.e. on [0,T], under the nonlinear boundary conditions. Using techniques from multivalued analysis and the theory of operators of monotone type, we prove the existence of solutions for both the ‘convex’ and ‘nonconvex’ problems. Finally, we present a special case of interest, which fit into our framework, illustrating the generality of our results.  相似文献

The continuous dependence on data is studied for a class of second order difference equations governed by a maximal monotone operator A in a Hilbert space. A nonhomogeneous term f appears in the equation and some bilocal boundary conditions a, b are added. One shows that the function which associates to {a, b, A, f} the solution of this boundary value problem is continuous in a specific sense. One uses the convergence of a sequence of operators in the sense of the resolvent. The problem studied here is the discrete variant of a problem from the continuous case.  相似文献

In this paper, a nonlinear hemivariational inequality of second order with a forcing term of subcritical growth is studied. Using techniques from multivalued analysis and the theory of nonlinear operators of monotone type, an existence theorem for the Dirichlet boundary value problem is proved.  相似文献

Our concern is to solve the oscillation problem for the non-linear self-adjoint differential equation (a(t)x’)’+b(t)g(x)=0, where g(x) satisfies the signum condition xg(x)>0 if x≠0, but is not assumed to be monotone. Sufficient conditions and necessary conditions are given for all non-trivial solutions to be oscillatory. The obtained results show that the number 1/4 is a critical value for this problem. This paper takes a different approach from most of the previous research. Proof is given by means of phase plane analysis of systems of Liénard type. Examples are included to illustrate the relation between our theorems and results which were given by Cecchi, Marini and Villari. Received: January 5, 2001?Published online: June 11, 2002  相似文献

In the paper, we obtain the existence of symmetric or monotone positive solutions and establish a corresponding iterative scheme for the equation (ϕ p (u′))′+q(t)f(u) = 0, 0 < t < 1, where ϕ p (s):= |s| p−2 s, p > 1, subject to nonlinear boundary condition. The main tool is the monotone iterative technique. Here, the coefficient q(t) may be singular at t = 0; 1.  相似文献

Some new oscillation criteria are given for general nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations with damping of the form x″+ p ( t ) x′+ q ( t ) f ( x ) = 0, where f is monotone or nonmonotone. Our results generalize and extend some earlier results of Deng. Published in Ukrains’kyi Matematychnyi Zhurnal, Vol. 60, No. 5, pp. 694–700, May, 2008.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of certain type of differential inclusions posed in Banach spaces. In particular, we obtain the abstract result on the asymptotic behavior of the solution of the boundary value problem
where Ω is a bounded open domain in with smooth boundary ∂Ω, f(t,x) is a given L1-function on ]0,∞[×Ω, γ1 and 1p<∞. Δp represents the p-Laplacian operator, is the associated Neumann boundary operator and β a maximal monotone graph in with 0β(0).  相似文献

In this paper we consider a general nonlinear boundary value problem for second-order differential inclusions. We prove two existence theorems, one for the ``convex' problem and the other for the ``nonconvex' problem. Then we show that the solution set of the latter is dense in the C 1 (T,R N ) -norm to the solution set of the former (relaxation theorem). Subsequently for a Dirichlet boundary value problem we prove the existence of extremal solutions and we show that they are dense in the solutions of the convexified problem for the C 1 (T,R N ) -norm . Our tools come from multivalued analysis and the theory of monotone operators and our proofs are based on the Leray—Schauder principle. Accepted 18 September 1997  相似文献

One considers a semilinear parabolic equation u t = Lua(x)f(u) or an elliptic equation u tt + Lua(x)f(u) = 0 in a semi-infinite cylinder Ω × ℝ+ with the nonlinear boundary condition , where L is a uniformly elliptic divergent operator in a bounded domain Ω ∈ ℝn; a(x) and b(x) are nonnegative measurable functions in Ω. One studies the asymptotic behavior of solutions of such boundary-value problems for t → ∞. __________ Translated from Trudy Seminara imeni I. G. Petrovskogo, No. 26, pp. 368–389, 2007.  相似文献
