应用碳离子束进行大分割放射治疗从而缩短治疗周期是碳离子束治疗的优势之一。为研究大分割放疗增加单次照射剂量后,碳离子束相对生物学效应(RBE)的变化,应用细胞存活线性平方(LQ)模型推导出RBE与剂量的依赖关系。基于此关系研究了具有不同辐射敏感性的肿瘤细胞和正常组织细胞RBE随剂量的变化。结果表明,在0~20 Gy范围内,不论肿瘤细胞与正常组织细胞具有怎样的辐射敏感性,肿瘤细胞的RBE值始终大于正常组织细胞。此外,基于理论推导和对相关实验数据的分析,证实了RBE随剂量增加而递增现象的存在。这些结果对应用碳离子束进行大分割放射治疗具有重要的指导作用。Short treatment course due to the suitability of hypofractionated regimen for carbon ion beam is one of the advantages of carbon ion radiotherapy. To study the dependence of relative biological effectiveness (RBE) on dose, the relationship between RBE and dose was deduced through the linear-quadratic (LQ) model. Based on the relationship, the change of RBE of tumor cells and normal tissue cells with different radiosensitivities with dose was studied. The results showed that the RBE value of tumor cells was always greater than that of normal tissue cells in the dose range of 0~20 Gy, regardless of the radiosensitivity of tumor and normal tissue cells. In addition, based on theoretical deduction and analysis of the relevant experimental data, the existence of RBE increase with increasing dose was verified. These results are of great significance for conducting hypofractionated radiotherapy with carbon ion beam.  相似文献

The effects of the magnetic field on the valence bond property of the double-quantum-dot molecule are numerically studied by the finite element method and perturbation approach because of the absence of cylindrical symmetry in the horizontally coupled dots.The calculation results show that the energy value of the ground state changes differently from that of the first excited state with increasing magnetic field strength,and they cross under a certain magnetic field.The increasing magnetic field makes the covalent bond state change into an ionic bond state,which agrees qualitatively with experimental results and and makes ionic bond states remain.The oscillator strength of transition between covalent bond states decreases distinctly with the increasing magnetic field strength,when the molecule is irradiated by polarized light.Such a phenomenon is possibly useful for actual applications.  相似文献

Considering the magnetic field response of the QGP medium,we perform a systematical study of the chiral magnetic effect(CME),and make a comparison with the experimental results for the background-subtracted correlator H at the energies of the RHIC Beam Energy Scan(BES)and the LHC energy.The CME signals from our computations show a centrality trend and beam energy dependence that are qualitatively consistent with the experimental measurements of the charge dependent correlations.The time evolution of the chiral electromagnetic current at the RHIC and LHC energies is systematically studied.The dependence of the time-integrated current signal on the beam energy√s with different centralities is investigated.Our phenomenological analysis shows that the time-integrated electromagnetic current is maximal near the collision energy√s≈39 GeV.The qualitative trend of the induced electromagnetic current is in agreement with the CME experimental results at the RHIC and LHC energies.  相似文献

Active spot-scanning test with heavy ions at HIRFL-CSR   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
An active spot beam delivery system for heavy ion therapy has been developed based on the Cooling Storage Ring at HIRFL-CSR, where the pencil carbon-ion beams were scanned within a target volume transversely by a pair of orthogonal (horizontal and vertical) dipole magnets to paint the slices of the target volume and longitudinally by active energy variation of the synchrotron slice by slice. The unique techniques such as dose shaping via active energy variation and magnetic deflection constitute a promising three-dimensional conformal even intensity-modulated radiotherapy with heavy ions at HIRFL-CSR. In this paper, the verification of active energy variation and the calibration of steerable beam deflection are shown, as the basic functionality components of the active spot-scanning system. Additionally, based on the capability of creating homogeneous irradiation fields with steerable pencil beams, a radiobiological experiment like cell survival measurement has been performed aiming at comparison of the radiobiological effects under active and passive beam deliveries.  相似文献

We propose a novel atomic beamsplitter for guided atoms composed of a U-shaped current carrying conductor and an additional bias magnetic field, and study the dynamic process of atomic beam splitting in the beamsplitter by Monte Carlo simulations. Our study shows that the splitting ratio of the beamsplitter can be continuously adjusted from 0 to 1 by changing the additional bias field. In addition, the transverse temperature of guided atoms at the outlets of the beamsplitter are also estimated and explained qualitatively.  相似文献

A variational-integral perturbation method(VIPM) is established by combining the variational perturbation with the integral perturbation.The first-order corrected wave functions are constructed,and the second-order energy corrections for the ground state and several lower excited states are calculated by applying the VIPM to the hydrogen atom in a strong uniform magnetic field.Our calculations demonstrated that the energy calculated by the VIPM only shows a negative value,which indicates that the VIPM method is more accurate than the other methods.Our study indicated that the VIPM can not only increase the accuracy of the results but also keep the convergence of the wave functions.  相似文献

The approximate analytical expressions of the apertured broadband beams in the far field with Gaussian and Laguerre-Gaussian spatial modes are presented.For the radially polarized Laguerre-Gaussian beam,the result reveals that the electromagnetic field in the far field is transverse magnetic.The influences of bandwidth(Γ) and truncation parameter(C 0) on the transverse intensity distribution of the Gaussian beam and on the energy flux distribution of radially polarized Laguerre-Gaussian beam are analysed.  相似文献

Based on the Martian magnetic field model established by magnetohydrodynamics simulation, we determine the possible precipitation areas of the solar wind electron in the nightside Martian atmosphere, and analyze the electron impact ionization to estimate the height of the nightside Martian ionospheric peak and the electron density profile using the energy flux analysis method. The influences of the single electron energy, electron energy density and ionization efficiency on the altitude of the ionospheric peak and the electron density profile are also investigated. Our results show that the solar wind electron moves along the V-shaped solar wind magnetic field lines, to precipitate into the Martian atmosphere. Due to the crustal magnetic field, the precipitation regions on the nightside are quite narrow and unstable. The impact ionization happens at the altitude of 130-500km, and the height of the ionospheric peak is around 170km, with a peak electron density of 3.0×10^3 cm^-3. The simulation results are consistent with the results from Mars 4/5 and Viking occultation measurements.  相似文献

Relativistic heavy-ion collisions can produce extremely strong magnetic fields in the collision regions.The spatial variation features of the magnetic fields are analyzed in detail for non-central Pb–Pb collisions at LHC at√s NN = 900, 2760 and 7000 Ge V and Au–Au collisions at RHIC at√s NN=62.4, 130 and 200 Ge V. The dependencies of magnetic field on proper time, collision energies and impact parameters are investigated in this paper. It is shown that an enormous and highly inhomogeneous spatial distribution magnetic field can indeed be created in off-centre relativistic heavy-ion collisions in RHIC and LHC energy regions. The enormous magnetic field is produced just after the collision, and the magnitude of magnetic field of the LHC energy region is larger than that of the RHIC energy region at small proper time. It is found that the magnetic field in the LHC energy region decreases more quickly with the increase of proper time than that of the RHIC energy region.  相似文献

The energy band structure of single-layer graphene under one-dimensional electric and magnetic field modulation is theoretically investigated. The criterion for bandgap opening at the Dirac point is analytically derived with a two-fold degeneracy second-order perturbation method. It is shown that a direct or an indirect bandgap semiconductor could be realized in a single-layer graphene under some specific configurations of the electric and magnetic field arrangement. Due to the bandgap generated in the single-layer graphene,the Klein tunneling observed in pristine graphene is completely suppressed.  相似文献

分析外加均匀磁场对于碳离子笔形束剂量分布的影响,并考虑修正这种影响,为磁共振成像引导碳离子放射治疗的临床应用提供指导。本文利用蒙特卡罗方法模拟计算了不同能量碳离子笔形束在不同强度磁场下的剂量分布情况,发现垂直于碳离子束入射方向的均匀磁场对于碳离子笔形束射程缩短的影响很小,磁场对碳离子束的主要影响是引起束流横向偏转,特别是碳离子束布拉格峰位置的横向侧移。横向侧移程度与碳离子束的能量和磁场强度相关,根据模拟结果,得到了一个计算碳离子束布拉格峰在磁场中相对横向偏转的方程,并提出一种校正外加磁场引起的碳离子束布拉格峰横移的角度修正方法。这些结果可用于指导磁共振图像引导碳离子放射治疗计划系统的研发。  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to develop a method for measuring the one-dimensional dose distribution of a high-energy photon beam using a miniaturized high-resolution fiber-optic radiation sensor array. The measurements were made by thin plastic optical fibers with organic scintillating fiber sensor probes that emit the visible wavelength of light. The scintillating light is guided to a silicon photodiode array by plastic optical fibers in order to convert light output to an electrical signal. The one-dimensional spatial dependence of photon beam is measured by a one-dimensional fiberoptic sensor array in a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) phantom. It is shown that this fiber-optic radiation sensor has better spatial resolution than a conventional ionization chamber and much less time is required to measure one-dimensional dose distribution in the high radiation fields. The real-time and the high spatial resolution measurements due to the small detector volume make this system suitable for dosimetry in radiation therapy.  相似文献

非均匀组织等效水厚度修正是研究质子放射治疗的重要组成部分, 利用蒙特卡罗Fluka2011.2程序模拟了不同能量(50–250 MeV)的质子束入射到不同介质中的输运过程, 总结出了在不同介质中质子束初始能量与质子束Bragg峰深度关系, 并拟合出质子束在介质中的等效水厚度修正公式. 结果表明, 对不同能量的质子束入射到非均匀组织中, 通过拟合公式计算出Bragg峰深度值与Fluka模拟的质子束Bragg峰的位置相差在1 mm 之内. 如果建立起介质和水的Bragg峰比与电子密度比关系的数据库, 该公式有可能用于临床上的质子放射治疗的剂量计算中. 关键词: 蒙特卡罗 质子治疗 等效水厚度 Bragg 峰  相似文献

At present, high energy electron linear accelerators (LINACs) producing photons with energies higher than 10 MeV have a wide use in radiotherapy (RT). However, in these beams fast neutrons could be generated, which results in undesired contamination of the therapeutic beams. These neutrons affect the shielding requirements in RT rooms and also increase the out-of-field radiation dose to patients. The neutron flux becomes even more important when high numbers of monitor units are used, as in the intensity modulated radiotherapy. Herein, to evaluate the exposure of patients and medical personnel, it is important to determine the full radiation field correctly. A model of the dual photon beam medical LINAC, Siemens ONCOR, used at the University Hospital Centre of Osijek was built using the MCNP611 code. We tuned the model according to measured photon percentage depth dose curves and profiles. Only 18 MV photon beams were modeled. The dependence of neutron dose equivalent and energy spectrum on field size and off-axis distance in the patient plane was analyzed. The neutron source strength (Q) defined as a number of neutrons coming from the head of the treatment unit per x-ray dose (Gy) delivered at the isocenter was calculated and found to be 1.12 × 1012 neutrons per photon Gy at isocenter. The simulation showed that the neutron flux increases with increasing field size but field size has almost no effect on the shape of neutron dose profiles. The calculated neutron dose equivalent of different field sizes was between 1 and 3 mSv per photon Gy at isocenter. The mean energy changed from 0.21 MeV to 0.63 MeV with collimator opening from 0 × 0 cm2 to 40 × 40 cm2. At the 50 cm off-axis the change was less pronounced. According to the results, it is reasonable to conclude that the neutron dose equivalent to the patient is proportional to the photon beam-on time as suggested before. Since the beam-on time is much higher when advanced radiotherapy techniques are used to fulfill high conformity demands, this makes the neutron flux determination even more important. We also showed that the neutron energy in the patient plane significantly changes with field size. This can introduce significant uncertainty in dosimetry of neutrons due to strong dependence of the neutron detector response on the neutron energy in the interval 0.1–5 MeV.  相似文献

 采用瞬态受激旋转拉曼散射(SRRS)模型,详细考虑了激光脉冲的位相变化、时间波形、泵浦光的衰减、斯托克斯光的非线性放大以及初始的随机斯托克斯散射场等诸多因素,研究了空间位相畸变对空气中长程传输过程中产生的SRRS效应的影响。研究结果表明:位相畸变对阈值条件和时间特性影响较小,而对光束质量影响较为明显;随着位相畸变的增大,光束的能量分布变得极不均匀,光束的光强对比度也明显变大,从而使激光光束质量变差,而且当传输距离达到阈值条件后,随着传输距离的增加,光束质量将进一步变差。  相似文献

A possibility of precise measurement of the electron beam energy using absorption of radiation by electrons in a homogeneous magnetic field for electrons of high energy in the range up to a few hundred GeV, was considered earlier. In this paper, with the purpose of experimental checking of this method in the range of several tens MeV of electrons energies, a possibility of measurement of absolute energy of the electron beam with a relative accuracy up to 10?4, is considered. We take into account influence of the laser beam diffraction, of the spread of electrons over energies, and of the length of formation of radiation absorption in the process of electron beam energy measurement. The laser wavelength and the length of the magnet are chosen depending on the length of photon absorption formation. It is found that the kinematical restrictions on the photon absorption process lead to the selection in angles of propagation of photons, which can be absorbed by the beam electrons. It is shown that parameters of the electron beam will noticeably not vary during the measurement of the energy.  相似文献

电子束半导体探测器的测量精度易受到射线的能量、剂量率、入射方向和环境温度等条件的影响。此外,电子束测量射野中半导体探测器的存在将干扰均匀射野剂量场的正常分布。通过对P-型电子束半导体探测器在不同的电子束照射条件下的实际剂量测量,定量地评估了不同照射条件下电子束半导体探测器的剂量特性,以及它对电子束均匀照射野扰动的影响。The measurement accuracy of electron beam by using semiconductor detector is easily affected by beam energy, dose rate, beam incidence direction, environment temperature etc. Furthermore, the presence of the detectors on the patient surface perturbs the distribution of the radiation field. In the paper, the dose characteristics of semiconductor detector are quantitatively discussed. The perturbation of the symmetrical radiation field is investigated based on the measured results of P-type electron beam detector under different clinical conditions.  相似文献

Results of experimental investigations into the spatial distribution of the parameters of the plasma (electron concentration and temperature) generated by a sheet beam with energy up to 2 keV in argon at pressures from 6 to 9 Pa are presented. The electron beam was produced by a source with a plasma cathode specially designed for emission of beams in the range of forvacuum pressures. It is demonstrated that the character of distribution of the plasma parameters is caused by the corresponding distribution of the electron current density over the beam cross section, and the plasma parameters themselves also noticeably depend on the gas pressure and the magnetic field. A model of ionization processes that provides satisfactory agreement between the calculated and experimental dependences is suggested.  相似文献

Relativistic energy loss and photon emission in the interaction of a coated sphere containing a left-handed material with an external electron beam are studied based on the classical electrodynamics. Both of electric modes and magnetic modes are not only found in the spectra of energy loss and photon emission for different combinations of electron velocity and sphere radius, the new excitation modes can be also observed. Our results show that different excitation modes for the left-hand materials and the structure information of coated sphere can be explored by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM).  相似文献

In precise experiments with polarized beam it’s very often appear a necessity to change beam polarization on opposite. If such operation does not change other beam parameters, it helps to avoid or minimize some systematic errors. It is especially important in experiments, where spin dependent effect is small enough. This paper describes two set of equipments, that make spin flip for extracted beams. In both cases, these devices are absolutely distinct, because they are appropriate for different particles and at different energy range. The first of them is intended for future muon (g-2) experiment, which is under preparation now at JPARC. Here, the muon spin flip will be done by chain of electrostatic and magnetic bends at the kinetic energy 340 keV. A beam matching is provided by a number of short solenoids. The other flipper (or Siberian snake) will rotate spin of protons or antiprotons, which come from Λ-meson decay with the energy up to 40 GeV. This experiment (no. 24) is planed at IHEP, Protvino. In this case, two superconducting helical magnets with opposite helicities and magnetic field 4.5 T will be used. To correct beam trajectory, additional dipole correctors are required.  相似文献
