We study the lower semicontinuous envelope in Lp(), F, of a functional F of the form F(u)=A uudx where A=A(x) is not strictly elliptic and not bounded. We prove that F; may also be written as F;(u)= Buudx with B=AP A for a matrix P which is the matrix of an orthogonal projection. In the one-dimensional case, we characterize the domain of F and we explicit the matrix P.  相似文献

Résumé On étudie, sans hypothèse de convexité, les équations f=g, f=g et f=g.
Summary We study, without any convexity hypothesis, equations f=g, f=g and f=g where and respectively denote infimal convolution and deconvolution. We give an explicit formulation of these results in the quadratic hilbertian frame, and we interpret them in terms of parallel addition and subtraction of non necessarily semi-definite positive operators.

Every translation invariant positive definite Hermitian bilinear functional on the Gel'fand-Shilov space sMpMp(n×nK) of general type S is of the form B(,) = (x)(x)d(x), , sMpMp (n), where is a positive {M}-tempered measure, i.e., for every > 0 exp[-M(|x|)] d(x) < . To prove this we prove Schwartz kernel theorem for {M}-tempered ultradistributions and need Bochner-Schwartz theorem for {M}-tempered ultradistributions. Our result includes most of the quasianalytic cases. Also, we obtain parallel results for the case of Beurling type (Mp.  相似文献

A positive measurable function f on Rd can be symmetrized to a function f* depending only on the distance r, and with the same distribution function as f. If the distribution derivatives of f are Radon measures then we have the inequality f*f, where f is the total mass of the gradient. This inequality is a generalisation of the classical isoperimetric inequality for sets. Furthermore, and this is important for applications, if f belongs to the Sobolev space H1,P then f* belongs to H1,P and f*pfp.  相似文献

We consider the initial boundary-value Neumann problem for the equation of a porous medium in a domain with noncompact boundary. By using a symmetrization method, we obtain exactL p-estimates, 1p, for solutions as t.Translated from Ukrainskii Matematicheskii Zhurnal, Vol. 47, No. 2, pp. 147–157, February, 1995.  相似文献

It is well known that for certain sequences {tn}n the usual Lp norm ·p in the Paley-Wiener space PW p is equivalent to the discrete norm fp,{tn}:=( n=– |f(tn)|p)1/p for 1 p = < and f,{tn}:=sup n|f(tn| for p=). We estimate fp from above by Cfp, n and give an explicit value for C depending only on p, , and characteristic parameters of the sequence {tn}n. This includes an explicit lower frame bound in a famous theorem of Duffin and Schaeffer.  相似文献

A nonlinear model associated to the motion of a membrane is considered as limit of a sequence of approximate models, for which a global existence and uniqueness theorem can be proved. The paper investigates the relationship between the solutions of the real and approximate models.  相似文献

Let be a graph with diameter d 2. Recall is 1-homogeneous (in the sense of Nomura) whenever for every edge xy of the distance partition{{z V() | (z, y) = i, (x, z) = j} | 0 i, j d}is equitable and its parameters do not depend on the edge xy. Let be 1-homogeneous. Then is distance-regular and also locally strongly regular with parameters (v,k,,), where v = k, k = a 1, (vk – 1) = k(k – 1 – ) and c 2 + 1, since a -graph is a regular graph with valency . If c 2 = + 1 and c 2 1, then is a Terwilliger graph, i.e., all the -graphs of are complete. In [11] we classified the Terwilliger 1-homogeneous graphs with c 2 2 and obtained that there are only three such examples. In this article we consider the case c 2 = + 2 3, i.e., the case when the -graphs of are the Cocktail Party graphs, and obtain that either = 0, = 2 or is one of the following graphs: (i) a Johnson graph J(2m, m) with m 2, (ii) a folded Johnson graph J¯(4m, 2m) with m 3, (iii) a halved m-cube with m 4, (iv) a folded halved (2m)-cube with m 5, (v) a Cocktail Party graph K m × 2 with m 3, (vi) the Schläfli graph, (vii) the Gosset graph.  相似文献

We consider hypergroups associated with Jacobi functions () (x), (–1/2). We prove the existence of a dual convolution structure on [0,+[i(]0,s 0]{{) =++1,s 0=min(,–+1). Next we establish a Lévy-Khintchine type formula which permits to characterize the semigroup and the infinitely divisible probabilities associated with this dual convolution, finally we prove a central limit theorem.  相似文献

Let (–1,1), let 2/(1–)p<, letp denote the Hölder conjugate ofp, and let be an open arc of the unit circle. It is shown that, iff is a holomorphic function on the unit disc such that: (i) (1–|z|)log+|f(z)| isL p -integrable on the sector {r:0f has an infinite asymptotic value has -finite (2–(1+)p)-dimensional Hausdorff, measure, thenf has finite angular limits on a subset of of positive linear measure. In fact, a stronger conclusion will be established.  相似文献

The direct and inverse problems of the scattering of plane waves in a layered, inhomogeneous medium are considered in the paper. In the appropriate variables the wave equation of the problem has the formu (z,)=Q(Z)u ZZ(Z,), – < Z, <, Q(Z)|Z<01. A special feature of the case considered, in contrast to those studied earlier, is that Q(Z)|Z0 may change sign; because of this, the equation of the problem is, in general, an equation of mixed type. The correct formulation of the direct problem for such an equation and the study of the properties of its solution form a necessary step in the investigation. For a very broad class of media including cases of Q(z) of variable sign (Q(z) can change sign by a jump a finite number of times without vanishing anywhere) a procedure is developed for solving the corresponding inverse problem of determining Q(z) on the basis of the scattering datau(0,)|(–,). This procedure makes it possible to recover Q(z) for all z[0,). The solution of the inverse problem is unique in this class.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. V. A. Let be a torsionfree lattice in G=PGL(n+1, , where n 1 and is a nonArchimedean local field. Then acts on the Furstenberg boundary G/P, where P is a minimal parabolic subgroup of G. The identity element I in the crossedproduct C *algebra C(G/P) generates a class [I] in the K 0 group of C(G/P) . It is shown that [I] is a torsion element of K 0 and there is an explicit bound for the order of [I]. The result is proved more generally for groups acting on affine buildings of type à n. For n=1, 2 the Euler–Poincaré characteristic () annihilates the class [I].  相似文献

This paper is a continuation of RZhMat 1980, 5A439, where there was introduced the subgroup () of the Chevalley group G(,R) of type over a commutative ring R that corresponds to a net , i.e., to a set =(),, of ideals of R such that + whenever ,,+ . It is proved that if the ring R is semilocal, then () coincides with the group 0 considered earlier in RZhMat 1976, 10A151; 1977, 10A301; 1978, 6A476. For this purpose there is constructed a decomposition of () into a product of unipotent subgroups and a torus. Analogous results are obtained for sub-radical nets over an arbitrary commutative ring.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. V. A.
