Analysis of Millimeter Wave Power Density Received by Cell Monolayers Inside Culture Dishes 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
One sort of experiment concerning biological effects of millimeter waves (MMWs) at the cellular level is performed using a culture dish containing a cell monolayer with MMW irradiated from the underneath. For culture dishes with diameters much larger than the wavelength, analysis is carried out with respect to the relationship between the portion of the incident MMW power density (PD) received by the cell monolayer and influencing factors such as the culture dish bottom thickness, MMW wavelength, and the electromagnetic properties of the dish and culture solution. Another analysis is conducted by the FDTD method to reveal the effect of culture dish configuration on MMW PD received by the cell monolayer in a typical culture dish with a diameter not much longer than the wavelength. With the illustrated results, the conclusion is reached that rigorous analysis, precise measurement and accurate calculation of MMW PD should accompany such experiments, and large-diameter culture dishes are more preferred in experiments to small-caliber dishes. 相似文献

The size distribution and canting angle distribution for non-spherical rain drops are taken into account. Utilizing the Muller matrix, the backscattering power densities are computed at different rain rate and different polarization in millimeter waves band, according the rainfall condition in Xi'an, China. Electrodynamical features of rectangular cavity resonators as experimental cells of Electron Spin Resonance spectrometer for the millimeter frequency band have been investigated. Measurements and analytical estimations of features of three types of resonators (film-wall type, diffraction grating-wall type, double-wall type) are presented. 运用显微激光拉曼仪测定了正常小鼠离体皮肤0~300 μm不同深度的拉曼光谱。实验还测定了8 mm辐照一定时间后小鼠受辐照皮肤组织的拉曼光谱。实验结果表明毫米波辐照后皮肤拉曼光谱峰位857,936,1 658 cm-1的相对强度随着辐照时间的增加而减少。这表明由于毫米波热效应皮肤组织中的胶原蛋白构象发生了改变甚至分解,从而进一步表明皮肤组织受到了不可恢复的损伤。 相似文献

We study behavior of an atomic wave packet in a circularly polarized electromagnetic wave,and particularly calculate the atomic inversion of the wave packet.A general method of calculation is presented.The results are interesting.For example,if the wave packet is very narrow or /and the interaction is very strong,no matter the atom is initially in its ground state or excited state,the atomic inversion approaches zero as time approaches infinity.If the atom is initially in its ground state and excited state with the probability 1/2 respectively,and if the momentum density is an even function,then the atomic inversion equals zero at any time. 相似文献

The frequency spectrum of free-electron laser pumped by electromagnetic wave with magnetized and unmagnetized background plasma is analyzed by the theory of three-wave interaction and PIC simulation, respectively. Full-duplex (FD) millimeter-wave (mmWave) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication is a promising solution for the extremely high-throughput requirements in future cellular systems. The hybrid beamforming structure is preferable for its low hardware complexity and low power consumption with acceptable performance. In this paper, we introduce the hardware efficient dynamic subarrays to the FD mmWave MIMO systems and propose an effective hybrid beamforming design to cancel the self-interference (SI) in the considered system. First, assuming no SI, we obtain the optimal fully digital beamformers and combiners via the singular value decomposition of the uplink and downlink channels and the water-filling power allocation. Then, based on the obtained fully digital solutions, we get the dynamic analog solutions and digital solutions using the Kuhn–Munkres algorithm-aided dynamic hybrid beamforming design. Finally, we resort to the null space projection method to cancel the SI by projecting the obtained digital beamformer at the base station onto the null space of the equivalent SI channel. We further analyze the computational complexity of the proposed method. Numerical results demonstrate the superiority of the FD mmWave MIMO systems with the dynamic subarrays using the proposed method compared to the systems with the fixed subarrays and the half-duplex mmWave communications. When the number of RF chains is 6 and the signal-to-noise ratio is 10 dB, the proposed design outperforms the FD mmWave MIMO systems with fixed subarrays and the half-duplex mmWave communications, respectively, by 22.4% and 47.9% in spectral efficiency and 19.9% and 101% in energy efficiency. 相似文献

This paper investigates the possibility of using Silicon Nitride Composite (Kyocera SN-287) as single-disc, edge-cooled window for gyrotrons operating below 200 kW CW in the frequency range 28-42 GHz. Rotationally symmetric TE0n, and TEM00 Gaussian modes of rf transmission through the window have been considered. Analysis performed using a one dimensional (1D) finite difference (FD) code reveals that thermal stresses developed due to non-uniform temperature distribution on the disc surface are well within manageable limits for a 200 kW 42 GHz gyrotron proposed for some ECRH applications. For industrial gyrotrons, for microwave material processing and operating at a maximum power level of 100 kW CW, Si3N4 windows may be a cost effective replacement for sapphire windows. It is found that a TE02 profile results in lower peak temperature at the window disc in comparison to a Gaussian beam profile and allows the use of smaller discs. 相似文献

报道了以MgO∶LiNbO3为非线性光学介质,采用85 mm长的法布里珀罗单谐振腔结构形式的光学参变振荡器,产生THz电磁波的实验结果。使用波长为1064 nm的Nd∶YAGQ开关脉冲激光器作为抽运光源,通过改变入射角度使参变振荡器的相位匹配条件发生变化。采用Si真空量热器,并利用THz波干涉测量仪;或通过测量闲频光的频率对产生的THz波频率进行了测量。实验表明该参变振荡器输出频率调谐范围为0.9~3.0 THz。在抽运光能量为20 mJ/pulse,脉冲宽度16 ns,重复频率50 Hz条件下得到输出峰值位于1.2 THz,能量为102.5 PJ/pulse的THz波输出。通过引入Si棱镜阵列减小了THz波在晶体中的全反射,从而提高THz波的能量输出。使用金属缝隙探测器,对辐射的THz波的波束水平方向空间分布进行了测量,分析了Si棱镜阵列的衍射效应对THz波束空间分布的影响。 相似文献

高功率固体激光驱动器的负载能力已经成为限制驱动器发展的瓶颈问题,负载能力研究的主要是激光束近场和光学元件的相互作用过程。采用功率谱密度(Power spectral density,PSD)方法分析了多程放大构型高功率固体激光驱动器实验输出近场强度的频谱在激光强度提升过程中的演变规律,分析了引起近场强度调制的主要因素。结果表明,高强度下,激光驱动器的输出近场存在明显的频谱特征,二维功率谱密度近似满足各向同性,近场调制主要源于小尺度自聚焦效应,PSD曲线显示获得增长的频率主要是各级空间滤波器截止频率所限定的频段。 相似文献
