In this paper, the free vibration of cylindrical sheel with ring-stiffeners is studied in detail by using the PLK method in singular perturbation and the general Hale's law, and the formulas calculating natural frequencies of cylindrical sheel with ring-stiffeners are expressed. Finally, the FEM solution is also given to prove the perturbation solution to be seemly, and this comparison shows that the method yields very good results.  相似文献

This work concerns the nonlinear normal modes (NNMs) of a 2 degree-of-freedom autonomous conservative spring–mass–pendulum system, a system that exhibits inertial coupling between the two generalized coordinates and quadratic (even) nonlinearities. Several general methods introduced in the literature to calculate the NNMs of conservative systems are reviewed, and then applied to the spring–mass–pendulum system. These include the invariant manifold method, the multiple scales method, the asymptotic perturbation method and the method of harmonic balance. Then, an efficient numerical methodology is developed to calculate the exact NNMs, and this method is further used to analyze and follow the bifurcations of the NNMs as a function of linear frequency ratio p and total energy h. The bifurcations in NNMs, when near 1:2 and 1:1 resonances arise in the two linear modes, is investigated by perturbation techniques and the results are compared with those predicted by the exact numerical solutions. By using the method of multiple time scales (MTS), not only the bifurcation diagrams but also the low energy global dynamics of the system is obtained. The numerical method gives reliable results for the high-energy case. These bifurcation analyses provide a significant glimpse into the complex dynamics of the system. It is shown that when the total energy is sufficiently high, varying p, the ratio of the spring and the pendulum linear frequencies, results in the system undergoing an order–chaos–order sequence. This phenomenon is also presented and discussed.  相似文献

In this paper the singular perturbation problem of linear algebraic equations with a small parameter is presented by an example in practice. The existence and uniqueness theorem of its solution is proved by the perturbation method and the estimation of error for its approximate solution is given. Finally, the example mentioned above explaining how to apply the theory to solve the stiff equations is shown.  相似文献

In the classical multiple scales perturbation method for ordinary difference equations (O Δ Es) as developed in 1977 by Hoppensteadt and Miranker, difference equations (describing the slow dynamics of the problem) are replaced at a certain moment in the perturbation procedure by ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Taking into account the possibly different behavior of the solutions of an O Δ E and of the solutions of a nearby ODE, one cannot always be sure that the constructed approximations by the Hoppensteadt–Miranker method indeed reflect the behavior of the exact solutions of the O Δ Es. For that reason, a version of the multiple scales perturbation method for O Δ Es will be presented and formulated in this paper completely in terms of difference equations. The goal of this paper is not only to present this method, but also to show how this method can be applied to regularly perturbed O Δ Es and to singularly perturbed, linear O Δ Es.  相似文献

The procedures usually adopted in the evaluation of the stochastic response of structures with uncertain parameters, the so-called stochastic structures, are affected by some limits. Namely, the major drawbacks are: the conspicuous computational time required for the analysis of many degree of freedom systems and the loss of accuracy in the case of large uncertainty in the parameters. A method able to reduce the previous inconveniences was recently introduced in the study of statically loaded linear structures. The method, named improved perturbation method, was also extended to the field of linear dynamics. In both cases, the improved perturbation method provides a good approximation, even in the case of moderately large deviation of the uncertain parameters, and the computational time required is comparable to conventional first order perturbation. The present paper intends to apply the improved perturbation method in the second order analysis of geometrically non-linear uncertain systems subjected to static and dynamic deterministic forces.  相似文献

This paper presents the way to obtain the Newton gradient by using a traction given by the perturbation for the Lagrange multiplier. Conventionally, the second‐order adjoint model using the Hessian/vector products expressed by the product of the Hessian matrix and the perturbation of the design variables has been researched (Comput. Optim. Appl. 1995; 4 :241–262). However, in case that the boundary value would like to be obtained, this model cannot be applied directly. Therefore, the conventional second‐order adjoint technique is extended to the boundary value determination problem and the second‐order adjoint technique is applied to the conduit flow problem in this paper. As the minimization technique, the Newton‐based method is employed. The Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno (BFGS) method is applied to calculate the Hessian matrix which is used in the Newton‐based method and a traction given by the perturbation for the Lagrange multiplier is used in the BFGS method. In this paper, applying perturbation method to von Kármán-type nonlinear large deflection equations of orthotropic plates by taking deflection as perturbation parameter, thé postbuckling behavior of simply supported rectangular orthotropic plates under inplane compression is investigated. Two types of in-plane boundary conditions are now considered and the effects of initial imperfections are also studied. Numerical results are presented for various cases of orthotropic composite plates having different elastic properties. It is found that the results obtained are in good agreement with those of experiments.  相似文献

In this paper, Von Karman ’s set of nonlinear equations for rectangular plates with large deflection is divided into several sets of linear equations by perturbation method, the dimensionless center deflection being taken as a perturbation parameter. These sets of linear equations are solved by the spline finite-point (SFP) method and by the spline finite element (SFE) method. The solutions for rectangular plates having any length-to-width ratios under a uniformly distributed load and with various boundary conditions are presented, and the analytical formulas for displacements and deflections are given in the paper. The computer programs are worked out by ourselves. Comparison of the results with those in other papers indicates that the results of this paper are satisfactorily better.  相似文献

In this paper the discontinuous system with one parameter perturbation is considered. Here the unperturbed system is supposed to have at least either one periodic orbit or a limit cycle. The aim is to prove the continuation of the periodic orbits under perturbation by means of the bifurcation map and the zeroes of this map imply the periodic orbits for the perturbed system. The tools for this problem are jumps of fundamental matrix solutions and the Poincare map for discontinuous systems. Therefore, we develop the Diliberto theorem and variation lemma for the system with discontinuous right hand side. At the end, as application of our method, the effect of discontinuous damping on Van der pol equation, and the effect of small force on the discontinuous linear oscillator with add a ·sgn(x) are considered.  相似文献

In this paper, first by using Hamilton principle, we derive the variational equation of circular corrugated plates. Taking the central maximum amplitude of circular corrugated plates as the perturbation parameter and adopting the perturbation variational method, in the first-order approximation, we obtain the natural frequency of linear vibration of circular corrugated plates and then the nonlinear natural frequency of the corrugated plates. A general method is formulated to estimate damage location and extent from the explicit perturbation terms in specific set of eigenvectors and eigenvalues. At first, perturbed orthonormal equation is generated from the perturbation of eigenvectors and eigenvalues to obtain the k-th explicit perturbation coefficients. At second, perturbed eigenvalue equation is generated from the perturbation of eigenvector and eigenvalue, and first-order expansion of the stiffness matrix to obtain other explicit perturbation coefficients. Stiffness parameters are computed from these equations using an optimization method. The algorithm is iterative and terminates under certain criteria. A fixed–fixed modular beam with various numbers of elements is used as test structure to investigate the applicability of the developed approach. By comparison with the Euler–Bernoulli beam, discretization errors are analyzed. In six elements beam, first-order algorithm converges faster for small percentage damage. Second-order algorithm is more efficient for medium percentage damage. For large percentage damage, the second-order algorithm converges more effectively. Meanwhile, for eight elements large percentage damage and ten elements small percentage damage, second-order algorithm converges faster to the termination criterion.  相似文献

The three-dimensional elastic problems in finite deformations are not known to have been analyzed by the usual stress function and displacement function. By applying Hasegava's presentation and Adkins perturbation method, we propose a new analytical method for three-dimensional elastic problems for compressible materials and incompressible materials, using the displacement function for axisymmetrical elastic problems in finite deformations with surface force or body force. Based on the nonlinear large deflection equations of von Kármán plates, the lateral pressure is first converted into an initial deflection by Galerkin method, the postbuckling behavior of simply supported rectangular plates under uniaxial compression combined with lateral pressure is then studied applying perturbation method by taking deflection as perturbation parameter. Two types of in-plane boundary conditions and the effects of initial geometric imperfection are also considered. A new matrix perturbation analysis method is presented for efficient approximatesolution of the complex modal quadratic generalized eigenvalue problem of viscouslydamped linear vibration systems.First,the damping matrix is decomposed into the sum of aproportional-and a nonproportional-damping parts,and the solutions of the real modaleigenproblem with the proportional dampings are determined,which are a set of initialapproximate solutions of the complex modal eigenproblem.Second,by taking thenonproportional-damping part as a small modification to the proportional one and using thematrix perturbation analysis method,a set of approximate solutions of the complex modaleigenvalue problem can be obtained analytically.The result is quite simple.The new methodis applicable to the systems with viscous dampings-which do not deviate far away from theproportional-damping case.It is particularly important that the solution technique be alsoeffective to the systems with heavy,but not over,dampings.The solution formul  相似文献
