研究了一类带有非线性边界条件的非线性抛物型方程组解的整体存在及解在有限时刻爆破问题.通过构造方程组的上、下解.得到了解整体存在及解在有限时刻爆破的充分条件.对指数型反应项和边界流采用了常微分方程方法构造其上下解,而其它例如第一特征值等方法运用于该方程就比较困难.  相似文献

By making use of a special Lyapunov-type function and applying the comparison method due to Conti, we prove global existence of solutions for a general class of nonlinear second-order differential equations that includes, in particular, van der Pol, Rayleigh, and Liénard equations, widely encountered in applications. In this paper, we prove that the cubic fourth-order wave equation is globally well-posed in Hs(Rn) for by following the Bourgain's Fourier truncation idea in Bourgain (1998) [2]. To avoid some troubles, we technically make use of the Strichartz estimate for low frequency part and high frequency part, respectively. As far as we know, this is the first result on the low regularity behavior of the fourth-order wave equation.  相似文献

Considered herein are the problems of the existence of global solutions and the formation of singularities for a new nonlinear shallow water wave equation derived by Dullin, Gottward and Holm. Blow-up can occur only in the form of wave-breaking. A wave-breaking mechanism for solutions with certain initial profiles is described in detail and the exact blow-up rate is established. The blow-up set for a class of initial profiles and lower bounds of the existence time of the solution are also determined.  相似文献

A three-dimensional thermoviscoelastic system derived from the balance laws of momentum and energy is considered. To describe structural phase transitions in solids, the stored energy function is not assumed to be convex as a function of the deformation gradient. A novel feature for multi-dimensional, nonconvex, and nonisothermal problems is that no regularizing higher-order terms are introduced. The mechanical dissipation is not linearized. We prove existence global in time. The approach is based on a fixed-point argument using an implicit time discretization and the theory of renormalized solutions for parabolic equations with L1 data.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain new conditions for the global existence and boundedness of solutions for nonlinear second-order equations of the form (r(t)|u|p?2u)+g(t,u,u)u+a(t)f(u)=e(t), where p>1 is a real constant. In this paper we analyze a new temperature-dependent model for adhesive contact that encompasses nonlocal adhesive forces and damage effects, as well as nonlocal heat flux contributions on the contact surface. The related PDE system combines heat equations, in the bulk domain and on the contact surface, with mechanical force balances, including micro-forces, that result in the equation for the displacements and in the flow rule for the damage-type internal variable describing the state of the adhesive bonds. Nonlocal effects are accounted for by terms featuring integral operators on the contact surface.The analysis of this system poses several difficulties due to its overall highly nonlinear character, and in particular to the presence of quadratic terms, in the rates of the strain tensor and of the internal variable, that appear in the bulk and surface heat equations. Another major challenge is related to proving strict positivity for the bulk and surface temperatures.We tackle these issues by very careful estimates that enable us to prove the existence of global-in-time solutions and could be useful in other contexts. All calculations are rigorously rendered on an accurately devised time discretization scheme in which the limit passage is carried out via variational techniques.  相似文献

The interaction of long and short waves in a rarefied monodisperse mixture of a weakly compressible liquid containing bubbles of gas is considered. It is shown that the equations describing the dynamics of the perturbations in the bubbly liquid admit of the existence of short-wave-long-wave Benney-Zakharov resonance. A special modification of the multiple-scale method is employed to derive the interaction equations. In the non-resonant case, the interaction equations reduce to the non-linear Schrödinger equation in the form of the short-wave envelope while, in the resonance case, they reduce to the well-known system of Zakharov equations. The characteristics of long-wave-short-wave interaction in a bubbly liquid lie in the fact that, at certain values of the frequency of the short wave, the interaction coefficients vanish (“interaction degeneracy”). A class of new interaction models is constructed in the case of “degeneracy”. Degenerate resonance interaction in a bubbly liquid is investigated numerically using these models.  相似文献

For infinite horizon nonlinear optimal control problems in which the control term enters linearly in the dynamics and quadratically in the cost, well-known conditions on the linearised problem guarantee existence of a smooth globally optimal feedback solution on a certain region of state space containing the equilibrium point. The method of proof is to demonstrate existence of a stable Lagrangian manifold M and then construct the solution from M in the region where M has a well-defined projection onto state space. We show that the same conditions also guarantee existence of a nonsmooth viscosity solution and globally optimal set-valued feedback on a much larger region. The method of proof is to extend the construction of a solution from M into the region where M no-longer has a well-defined projection onto state space.  相似文献
