Two monometayl- and four dimethyl-triazolocoumarin isomers were characterized by their electron impact mass spectra and by low-energy collision experiments performed on molecular ions M+˙ and other fragment ions with an ion-trap mass spectrometer. High-energy collision-activated dissociation measurements were performed on the protonated [M + H]+ and deprotonated [M ? H]? molecular ion obtained by fast atom bombardment and M+˙ species produced by electron impact ionization on a double-focusing, reverse-geometry instrument. The data obtained allowed unequivocal structural identification of all the compounds investigated.  相似文献

In the electron impact mass spectra of some alkyl α- and β-hydroxyesters (introduced using the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) technique), the absence of the molecular ion M and the presence of the [M + 1]+ ion instead is observed. This phenomenon is especially characteristic of C3? C6 glycolates and diethyl malate, and is due to chemical auto-ionization—ion-molecule reactions in the high concentration gradient at the top of the GC peak. The existence of the [M ? 2], [M ?1]+ and M ions in the mass spectra of other β- and α-hydroxyesters is discussed.  相似文献

Fragmentation patterns of the molecular ions of 5-(methylsulfanyl)-1-[2-(vinyloxy)ethyl]-1H-pyrrol- 2-amines generated by electron impact (70 eV) and chemical ionization (methane as reagent gas) were studied for the first time. The electron impact mass spectra of all the examined compounds showed abundant molecular ions whose subsequent fragmentation followed three main pathways: elimination of EtS radical, elimination of methyl radical from the MeS group, and cleavage of the C-N and/or C-C bonds which is accompanied by rearrangement processes. Further decomposition of the [M - EtS]+ ion is determined by the structure of the amino group. The chemical ionization mass spectra displayed strong molecular and [M + H]+ ion peaks together with representative series of fragment ion peaks. Unlike electron impact, the main decomposition pathway under chemical ionization is elimination of methylsulfanyl radical from the [M + H]+ ion to give abundant [M + H — MeS]+ ion.  相似文献

The electron impact mass spectra of the new synthesized dioximes of o-diacyl benzenes (2) are reported. In addition to the molecular ion, characteristic peaks appear at values corresponding to the [M ? OH] +, [M ? NOH]+ and [M ? NHOH]+ ions. No initial dehydration of the molecular ion has been observed.  相似文献

The mass spectrometric fragmentation behaviour of pyridazine and four monosubstituted derivatives containing a pbenylalkyl side-chain (3- and 4-benizylpyridazine, 3- and 4-(2-pbenylethyl)pyridazine) was investigated. In the electron impact ionization mess spectra of the 3-substituted compounds abundant [M – H]+ peaks are observed. This allows a clear distinction between 3- and 4-substituted pyridazines, as the spectra of the latter isomers show only very weak [M – H]+ signals. The stability of [M – H]+ ions derived from 3-alkylpyridazines (deduced from only the very low abundance of further fragment ions) gives strong evidence for a cyclic structure of these ions. One fragmentation pathway typical of the parent pyridazine, the [M - N2] fragmentation, was not detectable with any of the phenylalkylpyridazines investigated. Instead, loss of HCN, H3CN+ and N2H+ was observed. An interesting fragmentation, observed with 3-(2-phenylethyl)pyridazine, is the loss of +CH3 from the molecular ion and also from the [M – H]+ ion.  相似文献

The laser desorption mass spectrometry of the oxocarbon squaric acid (3,4-dihydroxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione) and its salts of the form A2C4O4 (A = cation) is described. Both positive and negative ion spectra were obtained. The positive ion spectrum of the acid is characterized by an ion corresponding to loss of CO from [M + H]+. The negative ion spectrum shows an intense [M ? H]? peak in addition to a dimer species. The alkali salt spectra contain [M + A]+ in the positive mode and [M ? A]? and an intense [C4HO4]? in the negative mode. The smaller alkali salts also have an [M + H]+ adduct ion. Unlike the alkali squarates, the ammonium salt shows ions corresponding to losses of neutrals from the molecular adduct in the positive ion spectrum and a dimer species in the negative ion spectrum. Molecular weight information was obtained in all cases. A (bis) dicyanomethylene derivative of potassium squarate was also studied. Some field desorption mass spectrometry results are presented for comparison.  相似文献

Positive and negative ion fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of some monosubstituted nitroaromatic isomers are reported. Generally ions carresponding to [M + H]+ and M+ are observed in the positive ion FAB spectra; ions such as [M ? H] ? and M?˙ are observed in the negative ion FAB spectra. The use of FAB mass spectra to distinguish the isomers is discussed. Comparisons of FAB, chemical ionization and electron impact mass spectra of the same isomers (wherever possible) are reported. The structural information obtained in the negative ion FAB spectra complement those obtained in the positive ion FAB spectra.  相似文献

The gas-phase H/D exchange reactions of arginine (R) and arginine-containing di- and tri-peptide (gly-arg (GR), arg-gly (RG), gly-gly-arg (GGR), gly-arg-gly (GRG) and arg-gly-gly (RGG)) [M+H]+ ions with deuterated ammonia (ND3) were investigated by using Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR), ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS), ab initio and density functional theory-based molecular orbital calculations and molecular modeling. Three exchanges are observed for arginine and arginine-containing tri-peptide [M+H]+ ions, whereas the di-peptide [M+H]+ ions undergo a single H/D exchange. In addition, C-terminal methylation blocks H/D exchange of arginine and the arginine-containing peptide [M+H]+ ions, and a single H/D exchange is observed for N-terminal acetylated arginine [M+H]+ ions. A general mechanism for H/D exchange involving a collision complex that is best described as a “solvated salt-bridge” structure is proposed.  相似文献

Geometrically isomeric dicarboxylic acids, such as maleic and fumaric acid and their methyl homologues, and the isomeric phthalic acids, have been investigated using fast atom bombardment, field ionization and field desorption mass spectrometry. The most intense peak in the positive ion fast atom bombardment spectra corresponds with the [M + H]+ ion. This ion, when derived from the E -acids, tragments either by successive loss of water and carbon monoxide or by elimination of carbon dioxide. In the case of the Z -acids only elimination of water from the [M + H]+ ions is observed to occur to a significant extent. The same is true for the [M + H]+ ions of the isomeric phthalic acids, that is the [M + H] ions derived from iso- and terephthalic acid exhibit more fragmentation than those of phthalic acid. All these acids undergo much less fragmentation upon field ionization, where not only abundant [M + H]+ ions, but also abundant [M] ions, are observed. Upon field desorption only the [M + H]+ and [M + Na]+ ions are observed under the measuring conditions. Negative ion fast atom bombardment spectra of the acids mentioned have also been recorded. In addition to the most abundant [M? H]? ions relatively intense peaks are observed, which correspond with the [M]?˙ ions. The fragmentations observed for these ions appear to be quite different from those reported in an earlier electron impact study and in a recent atmospheric pressure ionization investigation.  相似文献

Under electron impact, 3-aryl-4-hydroxyisoquinolines form [M – H]+, [M – CO]+ and [M – H – CO]+ ions with a subsequent elimination of HCN or CH3CN. A cyclic structure for the [M – H]+ ion is suggested. The primary act of fragmentation of the corresponding methyle ether derivatives is the loss of CH3?, as well as H?; the further fragmentatio is similar to that described above. It has been established that the unusual [M – H]+, [M – OH]+ and [M – CH5?]+ ions are formed when 8 fragments. Fragmentation schemes for all compounds are proposed based upon high resolution mass spectra and deuterated analogues.  相似文献

Mechanisms are proposed for the formation of M+, [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions in the fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of 4-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-oxyl)-piperidol and its carboxylates. Free radical quenching induced by the fast atom beam has been observed. The effects of temperature on the radical quenching and of acid on the FAB mass spectra are discussed. The experiment showed that the volatile liquid samples with vapour pressures higher than that for glycerol produced M+ even-electron molecular ions, and the FAB mass spectra were similar to the corresponding electron ionization mass spectra. For the solid samples, it was found that the free radicals were quenched during the FAB process so that the mononitroxide and dinitroxide compounds produced [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions, respectively. Further experiments showed that the intensities and stabilities of [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions could be improved by addition of acids.  相似文献

The mass spectrometric behaviour of a series of 2-aryl substituted 4,7-dioxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindoles has been studied in different ionization conditions (Electron Ionization and Fast Atom Bombardment), with the aid of the metastable ion studies. In electron ionization conditions all the compounds exhibit a highly favoured, primary H2 loss giving rise to the corresponding indole-4,7-diones; in the usual spectra no evidence for the molecular ions in the enolic form was found, while the OH* loss observed in the MIKE (mass analyzed ion kinetic energy) spectra of molecular ions suggests that species at low internal energy content isomerize to the corresponding tautomeric enolic form. FAB mass spectra show easy formation of an unusual [M + 2H]+ species, together with abundant [M + H]+ and M+ cations.  相似文献

In the field desorption mass spectrometry of oligosaccharides, traces of contaminating salts in polar solvents decrease the detection sensitivity, and in some cases no ion could be detected in the molecular range. The present work shows that the addition of alkaline salts (NaI or KI) greatly increases the sensitivity, and cationized molecular ions are obtained. The influence of the molar ratio sugar/salt on the nature and relative intensity of the desorbed species has been studied on mixtures of α-D -trehalose and NaI. At the low salt ratio (100:1), high molecular weight clusters [X M + Na]+ are preferentially formed. At the high salt ratio (1:10), mixed clusters [M + NaI + Na]+, doubly charged ions [M + 2Na]2+ and monomeric cationized ions [M + Na]+ are observed along with salt clusters [NaI + Na]+ and [2NaI + Na]+. In the range of molar ratios sugar/salt of 10:1 to 1:1, the field desorption mass spectra exhibit a cationized ion [M + Na]+, which contributes more than 80% of Σ100. This cationization technique has been applied to the field desorption mass spectrometry of several oligosaccharides. In all cases, the salt effect causes the replacement of the [M + H]+ ion by a [M + C]+ ion. (Note: the term [M + C]+ and similar ones mean an association between the whole molecule studied (M) and an alkaline cation [C]+ ([K)]+, [Na]+, [Li]+).) Thus, di, tri- and tetrasaccharides exhibit intense [M + Na]+ ions in the presence of NaI and only a few fragment peaks are observed in their field desorption mass spectra. This technique has been applied successfully to the detection of the hexasaccharide ajugose in a natural sample of pentasaccharide, and has also allowed the unambiguous determination of the composition of a mixture of partially methylated trehaloses. The salt effects are dicussed in terms of selective adsorption on the emitter, pre-existing soluble complexes sugar-salt, interactions between these species in the electric field and dissociative desorption of ionic complexes.  相似文献

Laser desorption Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance positive- and negative-ion mass spectra are presented for dimethyl 8-acetyl-3,7,12,17-tetramethylporphyrin-2,18-dipropanoate. The 248-nm laser ionization thresholds for both positive and negative ions are observed to be about 2.5 MW cm?2. The M+˙ molecular ion is assigned to the base peak in the low-power spectra whereas it is the M?˙ ion for the corresponding anion spectra. Increased intensities of [M + H]+ and [M ? H]? are observed with increased laser fluences of up to 38 MW cm?2. At high laser powers the negative-ion results reveal that a series of carbon-nitrogen cumulene and polyacetylene cluster ions are formed. Laser evaporation/multiphoton ionization/ and thermal evaporation/electron impact ionization/collision-induced dissociation experiments carried out on the porphyrin M+˙ and [M + H]+ ions over a range of translational kinetic energies and delay times after acceleration are compared and used to obtain mechanistic and structural information. In contrast to the electron impact experiments, which show only side-chain cleavage, the laser-based collision-induced dissociation experiments reveal that, in addition to side-chain cleavage, it is possible to cleave the porphyrin ring to various extents depending on the ion translational energy selected.  相似文献

N-Acetylcysteine and nine N-acetylcysteine conjugates of synthetic origin were characterized by positive- and negative-ion plasma desorption mass Spectrometry. For sample preparation the electrospray technique and the nitrocellulose spin deposition technique were applied. The fragmentation of these compounds, which are best seen as S-substituted desaminoglycylcysteine dipeptides, shows a similar behaviour to that of linear peptides. In the positive-ion mass spectra intense protonated molecular ion peaks are observed. In addition, several sequence-specific fragment ions (A+, B+, [Y + 2H]+, Z+), immonium ions (I+) and a diagnostic fragment ion for mercap-turic acids (RM+) are detected. The negative-ion mass spectra exhibit deprotonated molecular ions and in contrast only one fragment ion corresponding to side-chain specific cleavage ([RXS]?) representing the xenobiotic moiety. In the case of a low alkali metal concentration on the target, cluster molecular ions of the [nM + H]+ or [nM - H]? ion type (n = 1-3) are observed. The analysis of an equimolar mixture of eight N-acetylcysteine conjugates shows different quasi-molecular ion yields for the positive- and negative-ion spectra.  相似文献

The chemical ionization and electron impact mass spectra of some thiosulfinates, thiosulfonates and sulfinyl sulfones have been studied. The electron impact mass spectra of four of the six thiosulfonates show molecular ions of less than 1%. Inconclusive evidence was obtained for sulfenyl sulfinate type intermediates in the electron impact spectra of thiosulfonates. The electron impact spectra of thiosulfonates were similar to those of thiosulfonates. The chemical ionization (isobutane) mass spectra of thiosulfinates and thiosulfonates generally show protonated molecular ions [MH]+ as base peaks and [MH+1]+ and [MH+2]+ peaks.  相似文献

Dissociative ionization of 1,1-dimethyl-1-silacyclobutane, 1,1-bis(trideuteromethyl)-1-silacyclobutane, 1,1,3-trimethyl-1-silacyclobutane, 1,1-bis(trideuteromethyl)-3-methyl-1-silacyclobutane and 1,1,2-trimethyl-1-sila-cyclobutane have been studied. Low energy electron impact fragmentation of 1,1-bis(trideuteromethyl)-3-methyl-1-silacyclobutane results mainly in the loss of ethene with the involvement of the C-methyl group from the rearranged molecular ion. No fragment ions indicating rearrangement of the molecular ion have been detected in mass spectra of 1,1-bis(trideuteromethyl)-1-silacyclobutane. The ionization energies for 1,1,3-trimethyl-1-silacyclobutane, 1,1,2-trimethyl-1-silacyclobutane and 1,1-dimethyl-1-silacyclopentane, and also the appearance energies for the [M ? 28] and [M ? 42] ions, have been measured by photoioniza-tion mass spectrometry. The heats of formation of these ions and of 1,1,3-trimethyl-1-silacyclobutane and 1,1-dimethyl-1-silacyclopentene molecules have been calculated as have the enthalpies of the transformation processes.  相似文献

A detailed study has been carried out of the fast atom bombardment tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) behavior of lithium-attachment ions from three glycol polymers: linear poly(ethylene glycol), linear poly(propylene glycol), and an ethoxylated fatty alcohol. Collisional activation was carried out in the “collision octapole” of a BEoQ hybrid mass spectrometer at a translational energy of 50 eV, with collision gas air. It was found that [M + Li]+ ions provide a number of advantages as precursors for practical MS/MS analysis as compared to the use of [M + H]+ or [M + Na]+ ions. First, [M + Li]+ ions are much more intense than the corresponding [M + H]+ ions. Second, [M + Li]+ ions dissociate to lithiated organic fragments with reasonable efficiency, which is not the case with [M + Na]+ precursors. Third, product ions are generally formed over the entire mass range for low molecular weight polyglycols. The most intense product ions are lithiated, linear polyglycol oligomers. These ions are formed via internal hydrogen transfer reactions which are facilitated by lithium (charge-induced). Two series of less intense product ions are formed via charge-remote fragmentations involving l,4-hydrogen elimination. A fourth product ion series consists of lithiated radical cations; these form via homolytic bond cleavages near chain ends. Overall, MS/MS analysis of [M + Li]+ polyglycol ions proved to be quite useful for chemical structure elucidation.  相似文献

The mass spectra of 30 sulfinamide derivatives (RSONHR', R' alkyl or p-XC6H4) are reported. Most of the spectra had peaks attributable to thermal decomposition products. For some compounds these were identified by pyrolysis under similar conditions to be: RSO2NHR', RSO2SR, RSSR and NH2R' (in all kinds of sulfinyl amides); RSNHR' (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides); RSO2C6H4NH2, RSOC6H4NH2 and RSC6H4NH2 (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides of the type of X = H) The mass spectra of the three thermally stable compounds showed that there are several kinds of common fragment ions. The mass spectra of the thermally labile compounds had two groups of ions; (i) characteristic fragment ions of the intact molecules and (ii) the molecular ions of the thermal decomposition products. It was concluded that the sulfinamides give the following ions after electron impact: [M]+, [M ? R]+, [M ? R + H]+, [M ? SO]+, [RS]+, [NHR']+, [NHR' + H]+, [RSO]+, [RSO + H]+, [R]+, [R + H]+, [R']+ and [M ? OH]+, and that the thermal decomposition products give the following ions: [RSO2SR]+, [RSSR]+, [M ? O]+, [M + O]+ and [RSOC6H4NH2]+.  相似文献

Fragmentation patterns of 5-methylsulfanyl-1-vinyl-1H-pyrrol-2-amines under electron impact (70 eV) and chemical ionization (methane as reactant gas) were studied for the first time. The electron impact mass spectra of all the examined compounds contained a strong peak of molecular ion which decomposed along four pathways. Two pathways involved cleavage of the C-S bonds with elimination of methyl (major) and MeS radicals (minor), and the two others, decomposition of the pyrrole ring. The chemical ionization mass spectra displayed strong molecular, [M + H]+, and odd-electron [M + H ? SMe]+ ion peaks. N,N-Dimethyl-5-methylsulfanyl-4-phenyl-1-vinyl-1H-pyrrol-2-amine under chemical ionization with methane as reactant gas characteristically decomposed with formation of [M ? C4H9N]+ as the only fragment ion.  相似文献
