Synthèse de l'analogue sélénié de la sérotonine

Starting from 2-bromo-5-methoxyacetophenone, an unambiguous synthesis of the selenium analog of serotonine is described with a 25% overall yield. Application of the Wittig reaction to selenoindoxyls appears to be a successful pathway to products of this nature.     

Thiényl- et séléniénylthiocyanates et sélénocyanates. 4. Synthèses de thiéno[2,3-d]thiazoles,de thiéno[2,3-e]thiazines et de quelques analogues sélénophéniques

Nucleophilic aromatic substitution of 3-bromo-2nitrothiophene and selenophene by thiocyanate and selenocyanate ions in dimethylsulfoxide yields 3-thienyl-and 3-selenienylthicoyanates and selenocyanates. After reduction of the nitro group, the amino derivatives undergo cyclizatrion to thieno[2,3-d]thiazoles and seleno [2,3-d]thiazoles. Also, 4H-2,3-dihydro-3-oxothieno[2,3-e]1,4-thiazine and its selenophene analog have been obtained.     

Etude par spectrométrie de masse du diaza-2,5 dioxa-1,6 thia-6a λ IV pentalègne et de ses analogues séléniés et tellurés

The mass spectra of 2,5-diaza-1,6-dioxa-6a-λ-IV-pentalenes and of its selenium and tellurium analogs are recorded. The spectra show strong stability of these compounds under electronic impact and a rather good reproductibility for their fragmentations independently of thenature of the heteroatom (s, Se or Te).     

Spectres photoélectroniques He(I) et He(II) du benzo[b]sélénophène et du benzo[b]tellurophène

He(I) and He(II) photoelectron spectra of benzo[b]selenophene and benzo[b]tellurophene The photoelectron spectra of benzo[b]selenophene ( 2 ) and benzo[b]tellurophene ( 1 ) have been recorded with He(I) and He(II) radiation and been compared to those of benzo[b]thiophene ( 3 ), benzo[b]furan ( 4 ), indole ( 5 ) and indene ( 6 ). The first four bands are correlated with π-orbitals, of which the highest occupied one is strongly localized on the heteroatom in the case of 1 . The results are in agreement with semi-empirical PPP-calculations.     

Recherches dans la série des cyclitols XLIII. Sur des éthylène-cétals de cétoses dérivés du cyclopentane

The synthesis of a series of keto derivatives of cyclopentane is described. The configurations of these derivatives have been determined by chemical methods and verified by IR. and NMR. spectroscopy. The preferred conformation of the cyclopentane part of the molecule has been established by the study of intramolecular hydrogen bonds and the values of the coupling constants J_{H? C? OH} and J_{H, H}.
