Rough convergence of double sequences of fuzzy numbers

In this paper, we define the concepts of rough convergence and rough Cauchy sequence of double sequences of fuzzy numbers. Then, we investigate some relations between rough limit set and extreme limit points of such sequences.     

Some morphisms of modules over the ring of pseudorational numbers

We study various morphisms of modules over the ring of pseudorational numbers R. We obtain a criterion for a quasi-isomorphism between finitely generated R-modules, introduce the concept of a pseudohomomorphism, and prove that the Krull-Remak-Schmidt theorem holds in the category of pseudohomomorphisms of finitely generated R-modules.

On the equivalence of codes over rings and modules

In light of the result by Wood that codes over every finite Frobenius ring satisfy a version of the MacWilliams equivalence theorem, a proof for the converse is considered. A strategy is proposed that would reduce the question to problems dealing only with matrices over finite fields. Using this strategy, it is shown, among other things, that any left MacWilliams basic ring is Frobenius. The results and techniques in the paper also apply to related problems dealing with codes over modules.     

To the question about the maximum principle for manifolds over local algebras

We consider manifolds over a local algebra A. We study basis functions of the canonical foliation which represent the real parts of A-differentiable functions. We prove that these are constant functions. We find the form of A-differentiable functions on some manifolds over local algebras, in particular, on compact manifolds. We obtain an estimate for the dimension of some spaces of 1-forms and analogs of the above results for the projective mappings of foliations.     

Hopf modules and the double of a quasi-Hopf algebra

We give a different proof for a structure theorem of Hausser and Nill on Hopf modules over quasi-Hopf algebras. We extend the structure theorem to a classification of two-sided two-cosided Hopf modules by Yetter-Drinfeld modules, which can be defined in two rather different manners for the quasi-Hopf case. The category equivalence between Hopf modules and Yetter-Drinfeld modules leads to a new construction of the Drinfeld double of a quasi-Hopf algebra, as proposed by Majid and constructed by Hausser and Nill.

     

On the laws of large numbers for double arrays of independent random elements in Banach spaces

For a double array of independent random elements {Vmn,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1} in a real separable Banach space,conditions are provided under which the weak and strong laws of large numbers for the double sums mi=1 nj=1Vij,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1 are equivalent.Both the identically distributed and the nonidentically distributed cases are treated.In the main theorems,no assumptions are made concerning the geometry of the underlying Banach space.These theorems are applied to obtain Kolmogorov,Brunk–Chung,and Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund type strong laws of large numbers for double sums in Rademacher type p(1 ≤ p ≤ 2) Banach spaces.     

Sharp Bounds on the Number of Resonances for Conformally Compact Manifolds with Constant Negative Curvature Near Infinity

The purpose of this article is to prove a sharp bound on the number of resonances for the Laplacian on conformally compact manifolds with constant negative curvature near infinity, thus improving the polynomial bound of Guillopé and Zworki (Guillopé, L., Zworski, M. ([1995b] Guillopé, L. and Zworski, M. 1995b. Upper bounds on the number of resonances for noncompact Riemann surfaces. J. Funct. Anal., 129: 364–389. On rearrangements of the double Haar system

Exponential Hilbert series and the Stirling numbers of the second kind

We consider the exponential generating function whose coefficients encode the dimensions of irreducible highest weight representations which lie on a given ray in the dominant chamber of the weight lattice. This formal power series can be considered as an exponential version of the Hilbert series of a flag variety. In this context, we compute a simple closed form for the exponential generating function in terms of finitely many differential operators and the Stirling polynomials. We prove that this series converges to a product of a rational polynomial and an exponential, and that, by summing the constant term and linear coefficient of this polynomial, we recover the dimension of the representation.     

Indecomposable modules of the intermediate series over W(a, b)

For any complex parameters a and b,W(a,b)is the Lie algebra with basis{Li,Wi|i∈Z}and relations[Li,Lj]=(j i)Li+j,[Li,Wj]=(a+j+bi)Wi+j,[Wi,Wj]=0.In this paper,indecomposable modules of the intermediate series over W(a,b)are classified.It is also proved that an irreducible Harish-Chandra W(a,b)-module is either a highest/lowest weight module or a uniformly bounded module.Furthermore,if a∈/Q,an irreducible weight W(a,b)-module is simply a Vir-module with trivial actions of Wk’s.     

Ideal membership in polynomial rings over the integers

We present a new approach to the ideal membership problem for polynomial rings over the integers: given polynomials , where is an -tuple of indeterminates, are there such that ? We show that the degree of the polynomials can be bounded by where is the maximum total degree and the maximum height of the coefficients of . Some related questions, primarily concerning linear equations in , where is the ring of integers of a number field, are also treated.

     

New double Wronskian solutions of the AKNS equation

Soliton solutions, rational solutions, Matveev solutions, complexitons and interaction solutions of the AKNS equation are derived through a matrix method for constructing double Wronskian entries. The latter three solutions are novel. Moreover, rational solutions of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation are obtained by reduction.     

Annihilating polynomials for quadratic forms and Stirling numbers of the second kind

We present a set of generators of the full annihilator ideal for the Witt ring of an arbitrary field of characteristic unequal to two satisfying a non‐vanishing condition on the powers of the fundamental ideal in the torsion part of the Witt ring. This settles a conjecture of Ongenae and Van Geel. This result could only be proved by first obtaining a new lower bound on the 2‐adic valuation of Stirling numbers of the second kind. Torsion simple modules over the quantum spatial ageing algebra

Various classes of simple torsion modules are classified over the quantum spatial ageing algebra (this is a Noetherian algebra of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 4). Explicit constructions of these modules are given and for each module its annihilator is found.     

A theorem on planar continua and an application to automorphisms of the field of complex numbers
