Applying the boundedness on weighted Lebesgue spaces of the maximal singular integral operator S * related to the Carleson?CHunt theorem on almost everywhere convergence, we study the boundedness and compactness of pseudodifferential operators a(x, D) with non-regular symbols in ${L^\infty(\mathbb{R}, V(\mathbb{R})), PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ and ${\Lambda_\gamma(\mathbb{R}, V_d(\mathbb{R}))}$ on the weighted Lebesgue spaces ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ , with 1?< p <? ?? and ${w\in A_p(\mathbb{R})}$ . The Banach algebras ${L^\infty(\mathbb{R}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ and ${PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ consist, respectively, of all bounded measurable or piecewise continuous ${V(\mathbb{R})}$ -valued functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ where ${V(\mathbb{R})}$ is the Banach algebra of all functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ of bounded total variation, and the Banach algebra ${\Lambda_\gamma(\mathbb{R}, V_d(\mathbb{R}))}$ consists of all Lipschitz ${V_d(\mathbb{R})}$ -valued functions of exponent ${\gamma \in (0,1]}$ on ${\mathbb{R}}$ where ${V_d(\mathbb{R})}$ is the Banach algebra of all functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ of bounded variation on dyadic shells. Finally, for the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ generated by all pseudodifferential operators a(x, D) with symbols ${a(x, \lambda) \in PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ on the space ${L^p(\mathbb{R}, w)}$ , we construct a non-commutative Fredholm symbol calculus and give a Fredholm criterion for the operators ${A \in \mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ .  相似文献

In this paper we construct the matrix subalgebras ${L_{r,s}(\mathbb{R})}$ of the real matrix algebra ${M_{2^{r+s}} (\mathbb{R})}$ when 2 ≤ r + s ≤ 3 and we show that each ${L_{r,s}(\mathbb{R})}$ is isomorphic to the real Clifford algebra ${\mathcal{C} \ell_{r,s}}$ . In particular, we prove that the algebras ${L_{r,s}(\mathbb{R})}$ can be induced from ${L_{0,n}(\mathbb{R})}$ when 2 ≤ rsn ≤ 3 by deforming vector generators of ${L_{0,n}(\mathbb{R})}$ to multiply the specific diagonal matrices. Also, we construct two subalgebras ${T_4(\mathbb{C})}$ and ${T_2(\mathbb{H})}$ of matrix algebras ${M_4(\mathbb{C})}$ and ${M_2(\mathbb{H})}$ , respectively, which are both isomorphic to the Clifford algebra ${\mathcal{C} \ell_{0,3}}$ , and apply them to obtain the properties related to the Clifford group Γ0,3.  相似文献

In classical linear algebra, extending the ring of scalars of a free module gives rise to a new free module containing an isomorphic copy of the former and satisfying a certain universal property. Also, given two free modules on the same ring of scalars and a morphism between them, enlarging the ring of scalars results in obtaining a new morphism having the nice property that it coincides with the initial map on the isomorphic copy of the initial free module in the new one. We investigate these problems in the category of free ${\mathcal{A}}$ -modules, where ${\mathcal{A}}$ is an ${\mathbb{R}}$ -algebra sheaf. Complexification of free ${\mathcal{A}}$ -modules, which is defined to be the process of obtaining new free ${\mathcal{A}}$ -modules by enlarging the ${\mathbb{R}}$ -algebra sheaf ${\mathcal{A}}$ to a ${\mathbb{C}}$ -algebra sheaf, denoted ${\mathcal{A}_\mathbb{C}}$ , is an important particular case (see Proposition 2.1, Proposition 3.1). Attention, on the one hand, is drawn on the sub- ${_{\mathbb{R}}\mathcal{A}}$ -sheaf of almost complex structures on the sheaf ${{_\mathbb{R}}\mathcal{A}^{2n}}$ , the underlying ${\mathbb{R}}$ -algebra sheaf of a ${\mathbb{C}}$ -algebra sheaf ${\mathcal{A}}$ , and on the other hand, on the complexification of the functor ${\mathcal{H}om_\mathcal {A}}$ , with ${\mathcal{A}}$ an ${\mathbb{R}}$ -algebra sheaf.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators acting on the weighted Lebesgue space ${L^{p}(\mathbb{R}, w)}$ , where ${p \in (1, \infty)}$ and w is a Muckenhoupt weight. We study the Banach subalgebra ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ of ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ generated by all multiplication operators aI ( ${a \in PSO^{\diamond}}$ ) and all convolution operators W 0(b) ( ${b \in PSO_{p,w}^{\diamond}}$ ), where ${PSO^{\diamond} \subset L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R})}$ and ${PSO_{p,w}^{\diamond} \subset M_{p,w}}$ are algebras of piecewise slowly oscillating functions that admit piecewise slowly oscillating discontinuities at arbitrary points of ${\mathbb{R} \cup \{\infty\}}$ , and M p,w is the Banach algebra of Fourier multipliers on ${L^{p}(\mathbb{R}, w)}$ . Under some conditions on the Muckenhoupt weight w, we construct a Fredholm symbol calculus for the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ and establish a Fredholm criterion for the operators ${A \in \mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ in terms of their Fredholm symbols. To study the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ we apply the theory of Mellin pseudodifferential operators, the Allan–Douglas local principle, the two idempotents theorem and the method of limit operators. The paper is divided in two parts. The first part deals with the local study of ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ and necessary tools for studying local algebras.  相似文献

Let X be a finitistic space having the mod 2 cohomology algebra of the product of two projective spaces. We study free involutions on X and determine the possible mod 2 cohomology algebra of orbit space of any free involution, using the Leray spectral sequence associated to the Borel fibration ${X \hookrightarrow X_{\mathbb{Z}_2} \longrightarrow B_{\mathbb{Z}_2}}$ . We also give an application of our result to show that if X has the mod 2 cohomology algebra of the product of two real projective spaces (respectively, complex projective spaces), then there does not exist any ${\mathbb{Z}_2}$ -equivariant map from ${\mathbb{S}^k \to X}$ for k ≥ 2 (respectively, k ≥ 3), where ${\mathbb{S}^k}$ is equipped with the antipodal involution.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that every quasiorder R induces a Nelson algebra ${{\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ such that the underlying rough set lattice RS is algebraic. We note that ${{\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ is a three-valued ?ukasiewicz algebra if and only if R is an equivalence. Our main result says that if ${{\mathbb A}}$ is a Nelson algebra defined on an algebraic lattice, then there exists a set U and a quasiorder R on U such that ${{\mathbb A} \cong {\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ .  相似文献

Given a simple atomic relation algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$ and a finite n ?? 3, we construct effectively an atomic n-dimensional polyadic equality-type algebra ${\mathcal{P}}$ such that for any subsignature L of the signature of ${\mathcal{P}}$ that contains the boolean operations and cylindrifications, the L-reduct of ${\mathcal{P}}$ is completely representable if and only if ${\mathcal{A}}$ is completely representable. If ${\mathcal{A}}$ is finite then so is ${\mathcal{P}}$ . It follows that there is no algorithm to determine whether a finite n-dimensional cylindric algebra, diagonal-free cylindric algebra, polyadic algebra, or polyadic equality algebra is representable (for diagonal-free algebras this was known). We also obtain a new proof that the classes of completely representable n-dimensional algebras of these types are non-elementary, a result that remains true for infinite dimensions if the diagonals are present, and also for infinite-dimensional diagonal-free cylindric algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we solve the ${\overline{\partial }}$ -problem along the leaves for two types of laminations: (i) Some open sets Ω of ${{\mathbb C}\times B}$ (where B is any differentiable manifold) endowed with the canonical foliation that is, the foliation whose leaves are the sections ${\Omega ^t=\{ z\in {\mathbb C}:(z,t)\in \Omega \}}$ . We construct a solution to the equation ${\overline{\partial }h=fd\overline z}$ for any function ${f:\Omega\longrightarrow {\mathbb C}}$ of class ${C^{s}\,(s\in \mathbb{N}\cup\{ \infty \}),\,C^\infty}$ along the leaves and satisfies some growth conditions near the singularities. (ii) A complex lamination by Riemann surfaces obtained by suspending a homeomorphism of a closed set of the Euclidean space ${\mathbb{C}\times \mathbb{R}}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be a collection of n linear hyperplanes in ${\mathbb{k}^\ell}$ , where ${\mathbb{k}}$ is an algebraically closed field. The Orlik-Terao algebra of ${\mathcal{A}}$ is the subalgebra ${{\rm R}(\mathcal{A})}$ of the rational functions generated by reciprocals of linear forms vanishing on hyperplanes of ${\mathcal{A}}$ . It determines an irreducible subvariety ${Y (\mathcal{A})}$ of ${\mathbb{P}^{n-1}}$ . We show that a flat X of ${\mathcal{A}}$ is modular if and only if ${{\rm R}(\mathcal{A})}$ is a split extension of the Orlik-Terao algebra of the subarrangement ${\mathcal{A}_X}$ . This provides another refinement of Stanley’s modular factorization theorem [34] and a new characterization of modularity, similar in spirit to the fibration theorem of [27]. We deduce that if ${\mathcal{A}}$ is supersolvable, then its Orlik-Terao algebra is Koszul. In certain cases, the algebra is also a complete intersection, and we characterize when this happens.  相似文献

In a natural way, we can ??lift?? any operation defined on a set A to an operation on the set of all non-empty subsets of A and obtain from any algebra ( ${A, \Omega}$ ) its power algebra of subsets. G. Gr?tzer and H. Lakser proved that for a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ , the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ generated by power algebras of algebras in ${\mathcal{V}}$ satisfies precisely the consequences of the linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ . For certain types of algebras, the sets of their subalgebras form subalgebras of their power algebras. They are called the algebras of subalgebras. In this paper, we partially solve a long-standing problem concerning identities satisfied by the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ generated by algebras of subalgebras of algebras in a given variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ . We prove that if a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ is idempotent and entropic and the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ is locally finite, then the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ is defined by the idempotent and linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ .  相似文献

Given an integral commutative residuated lattice L, the product L × L can be endowed with the structure of a commutative residuated lattice with involution that we call a twist-product. In the present paper, we study the subvariety ${\mathbb{K}}$ of commutative residuated lattices that can be represented by twist-products. We give an equational characterization of ${\mathbb{K}}$ , a categorical interpretation of the relation among the algebraic categories of commutative integral residuated lattices and the elements in ${\mathbb{K}}$ , and we analyze the subvariety of representable algebras in ${\mathbb{K}}$ . Finally, we consider some specific class of bounded integral commutative residuated lattices ${\mathbb{G}}$ , and for each fixed element ${{\bf L} \in \mathbb{G}}$ , we characterize the subalgebras of the twist-product whose negative cone is L in terms of some lattice filters of L, generalizing a result by Odintsov for generalized Heyting algebras.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to study certain algebraic structures induced by directed graphs. We have studied graph groupoids, which are algebraic structures induced by given graphs. By defining a certain groupoid-homomorphism ?? on the graph groupoid ${\mathbb{G}}$ of a given graph G, we define the diagram of G by the image ${\delta(\mathbb{G})}$ of ??, equipped with the inherited binary operation on ${\mathbb{G}}$ . We study the fundamental properties of the diagram ${\delta(\mathbb{G})}$ , and compare them with those of ${\mathbb{G}}$ . Similar to Cho (Acta Appl Math 95:95?C134, 2007), we construct the groupoid von Neumann algebra ${\mathcal{M}_{G}=vN(\delta(\mathbb{G}))}$ , generated by ${\delta(\mathbb{G})}$ , and consider the operator algebraic properties of ${\mathcal{M}_{G}}$ . In particular, we show ${\mathcal{M}_{G}}$ is *-isomorphic to a von Neumann algebra generated by a family of idempotent operators and nilpotent operators, under suitable representations.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators acting on the weighted Lebesgue space ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ , where ${p\in(1,\infty)}$ and w is a Muckenhoupt weight. We study the Banach subalgebra ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ of ${\mathcal{B}_{p,w}}$ generated by all multiplication operators aI ( ${a\in PSO^\diamond}$ ) and all convolution operators W 0(b) ( ${b\in PSO_{p,w}^\diamond}$ ), where ${PSO^\diamond\subset L^\infty(\mathbb{R})}$ and ${PSO_{p,w}^\diamond\subset M_{p,w}}$ are algebras of piecewise slowly oscillating functions that admit piecewise slowly oscillating discontinuities at arbitrary points of ${\mathbb{R}\cup\{\infty\}}$ , and M p,w is the Banach algebra of Fourier multipliers on ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ . Under some conditions on the Muckenhoupt weight w, using results of the local study of ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ obtained in the first part of the paper and applying the theory of Mellin pseudodifferential operators and the two idempotents theorem, we now construct a Fredholm symbol calculus for the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ and establish a Fredholm criterion for the operators ${A\in\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ in terms of their Fredholm symbols. In four partial cases we obtain for ${\mathfrak{U}_{p,w}}$ more effective results.  相似文献

In contrast to its subalgebra $A_n:=K\langle x_1, \ldots , x_n, \frac{\partial}{\partial x_1}, \ldots ,\frac{\partial}{\partial x_n}\rangle $ of polynomial differential operators (i.e. the n’th Weyl algebra), the algebra ${\mathbb{I}}_n:=K\langle x_1, \ldots ,$ $ x_n, \frac{\partial}{\partial x_1}, \ldots ,\frac{\partial}{\partial x_n}, \int_1, \ldots , \int_n\rangle $ of polynomial integro-differential operators is neither left nor right Noetherian algebra; moreover it contains infinite direct sums of nonzero left and right ideals. It is proved that ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ is a left (right) coherent algebra iff n?=?1; the algebra ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ is a holonomic A n -bimodule of length 3 n and has multiplicity 3 n with respect to the filtration of Bernstein, and all 3 n simple factors of ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ are pairwise non-isomorphic A n -bimodules. The socle length of the A n -bimodule ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ is n?+?1, the socle filtration is found, and the m’th term of the socle filtration has length ${n\choose m}2^{n-m}$ . This fact gives a new canonical form for each polynomial integro-differential operator. It is proved that the algebra ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ is the maximal left (resp. right) order in the largest left (resp. right) quotient ring of the algebra ${\mathbb{I}}_n$ .  相似文献

We prove that any Boolean algebra with the subsequential completeness property contains an independent family of size ${\mathfrak{c}}$ , the size of the continuum. This improves a result of Argyros from the 1980s, which asserted the existence of an uncountable independent family. In fact, we prove it for a bigger class of Boolean algebras satisfying much weaker properties. It follows that the Stone space ${K_\mathcal{A}}$ of all such Boolean algebras ${\mathcal{A}}$ contains a copy of the ?ech–Stone compactification of the integers ${\beta\mathbb{N}}$ and the Banach space ${C(K_\mathcal{A})}$ has l as a quotient. Connections with the Grothendieck property in Banach spaces are discussed.  相似文献

Let ${\Omega=\Omega_{1}\times\cdots\times\Omega_{n}\subset\mathbb{C}^{n}}$ , where ${\Omega_{j}\subset\mathbb{C}}$ is a bounded domain with smooth boundary. We study the solution operator to the ${\overline\partial}$ -Neumann problem for (0,1)-forms on Ω. In particular, we construct singular functions which describe the singular behavior of the solution. As a corollary our results carry over to the ${\overline\partial}$ -Neumann problem for (0,q)-forms. Despite the singularities, we show that the canonical solution to the ${\overline\partial}$ -equation, obtained from the Neumann operator, does not exhibit singularities when given smooth data.  相似文献

In Jabbari and Namioka (Milan J. Math. 78:503?C522, 2010), the authors characterized the spectrum M(W) of the Weyl algebra W, i.e. the norm closure of the algebra generated by the family of functions $\{n\mapsto x^{n^{k}}; x\in\mathbb{T}, k\in\mathbb{N}\}$ , ( $\mathbb{T}$ the unit circle), with a closed subgroup of $E(\mathbb{T})^{\mathbb{N}}$ where $E(\mathbb{T})$ denotes the family of the endomorphisms of the multiplicative group $\mathbb{T}$ . But the size of M(W) in $E(\mathbb{T})^{\mathbb{N}}$ as well as the induced group operation were left as a problem. In this paper, we will give a solution to this problem.  相似文献

Suppose that n is even. Let ${\mathbb{F}_2}$ denote the two-element field and ${\mathbb{Z}}$ the set of integers. Bent functions can be defined as ± 1-valued functions on ${\mathbb{F}_2^n}$ with ± 1-valued Fourier transform. More generally we call a mapping f on ${\mathbb{F}_2^n}$ a ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent function if both f and its Fourier transform ${\widehat{f}}$ are integer-valued. ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions f are separated into different levels, depending on the size of the maximal absolute value attained by f and ${\widehat{f}}$ . It is shown how ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions of lower level can be built up recursively by gluing together ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions of higher level. This recursion comes down at level zero, containing the usual bent functions. In the present paper we start to study bent functions in the framework of ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions and give some guidelines for further research.  相似文献
