Magnetically confined plasmas in the high confinement regime are regularly subjected to relaxation oscillations, termed edge localized modes (ELMs), leading to large transport events. Present ELM theories rely on a combined effect of edge current and the edge pressure gradients which result in intermediate mode number (n?10-15) structures (filaments) localized in the perpendicular plane and extended along the field lines. By detailed localized measurements of the magnetic field perturbation associated to type-I ELM filaments, it is shown that these filaments carry a substantial current.  相似文献

运用线性回旋动力学与磁流体力学的混合模拟程序,研究了JT-60U和JT-60SA装置中高能量粒子对离散阿尔芬本征模的共振激发.发现了丰富的αTAE动力学不稳定模式,研究了它的不稳定特性对高能量粒子速度的依赖关系.发现在JT-60U高βp ELMy H模运行中有grassy ELM的放电比有gaint ELM的放电更容易被高能量粒子激发成不稳定模式,在有边缘L模存在的负剪切运行下的各个势阱中都存在高能量粒子激发的αTAE不稳定模式.另外在JT-60SA中高βp全非感应电流驱动下的模拟实验放电下也发现了丰富的αTAE不稳定模式,观察了αTAE在该装置中沿磁场线和径向两个方向的二维广域本征模特性.  相似文献

This paper presents the features of the edge localized modes (ELMs) observed in the 2010 experimental campaign on the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST). The first high-confinement mode (H-mode) at an H-factor of HIPB98(y, 2)~ 1 has been obtained with about 1 MW lower hybrid wave (LHW) heating power on the EAST tokamak. The ELMs in EAST are Type III ELMs with high frequency (several hundred Hertz) and low amplitude. ELM features for the following two types of EAST discharges are investigated: discharges with only LHW and those with both LHW and ion cyclotron resonance frequency (ICRF) wave. The ELMs are observed in a wide q 95 window ranging from 2.6 to 5.0, and the ELM frequencies decrease with the safety factor, q 95. In contrast to most observations, the ELM frequency in EAST appears to be weakly proportional to the power through the separatrix. When the ICRF wave is injected, the ELM frequency increases. The control of the ELM frequency and amplitude has been achieved by puffing impure argon gas into the EAST discharge.  相似文献

It is shown that the edge-localized modes (ELMs) observed in tokamak H mode discharges can be explained as external magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) mode amplification due to coupling with scrape-off-layer current. The proposed model offers a new ELM mechanism that produces a sharp onset and initial fast growth of magnetic perturbations even when the underlying equilibrium is only marginally unstable for a MHD mode and also a quick quenching after the bursting peak. The theory also reproduces various other ELM features.  相似文献

The effective mode locking of a CW solid-state laser with a nonlinear Fabry-Pérot interferometer with a period matched to that of the main cavity period (mode locking by additional cavity, or coupled-cavity mode locking) is considered. The main features of the ultra-short pulse generation obtained on the basis of numerical simulations in the framework of the fluctuation model are interpreted using an analysis of nonlinear reflectivity of the interferometer. A correlation between parameter ranges for effective mode locking and self-consistent solutions of the system describing the CW ultra-short pulse generation allows one to explain a discrete range character. A new mode-locking regime has been described and the influence of interferometer bistability on the mode-locking efficiency has been evaluated.  相似文献

We report a Raman scattering study of low-temperature, pressure-induced melting of the charge-density-wave (CDW) phase of 1T-TiSe2. Our measurements reveal that the collapse of the CDW state occurs in three stages: (i) For P<5 kbar, the pressure dependence of the CDW amplitude mode energies and intensities are indicative of a "crystalline" CDW regime; (ii) for 525 kbar, the absence of amplitude modes reveals a metallic regime in which the CDW has melted.  相似文献

In the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak, complex power deposition structures on the divertor target plates during type-I edge-localized modes (ELMs) have been discovered by fast (few microseconds), two-dimensional (40 x 40 cm(2)) infrared thermography. In addition to the usual axisymmetric power deposition line near the separatrix, there appear, statistically distributed, several laterally displaced and inclined stripes, mostly well separated from each other and from the main strike zone. These structures are interpreted as footprints of approximately field aligned, helical perturbations at the low field side of the main plasma edge related to the nonlinear ELM evolution. Based on this picture, the ELM related mode structure can be derived from the target load pattern, yielding on average toroidal mode numbers in a range of 8-24.  相似文献

The filamentary nature and dynamics of edge-localized modes (ELMs) in the KSTAR high-confinement mode plasmas have been visualized in 2D via electron cyclotron emission imaging. The ELM filaments rotating with a net poloidal velocity are observed to evolve in three distinctive stages: initial linear growth, interim quasisteady state, and final crash. The crash is initiated by a narrow fingerlike perturbation growing radially from a poloidally elongated filament. The filament bursts through this finger, leading to fast and collective heat convection from the edge region into the scrape-off layer, i.e., ELM crash.  相似文献

在HL-2A 装置实验中,通过对水平场加入方波扰动,实现了等离子体垂直运动。当等离子体向上垂直运动时,观察到了边缘局域模(ELM)缓解现象。研究发现,等离子体向上运动过程中边缘不断形成新的闭合磁面,导致等离子体体积膨胀,进而使台基宽度增加。此外,ELM 缓解期间杂质和工作气体再循环有所增加。等离子体向上运动过程中体积膨胀、工作气体再循环及杂质增加可能是导致ELM 缓解的主要物理因素。该实验可为未来聚变实验装置ELM 的控制提供一些参考。  相似文献

The interplay of tunneling, Coulomb coupling, and many-body effects on the charge-density excitation (CDE) and spin-density excitation (SDE) of double quantum well systems has been analyzed. For increasing interwell distances, the system moves from the strong-tunneling regime (one-well limit) towards the zero tunneling but still strongly Coulomb-coupled regime, passing by the intermediate regime of a small but finite tunneling-induced gap ( less, similar1 meV). Important renormalizations due to many-body effects are found in the long-wavelength limit of the CDE and SDE, with the former exhibiting a logarithmic correction to the single-particle linear dependence on the tunneling-induced gap, and the latter exhibiting a soft mode in the weak-tunneling, low-density regime. The oscillator strength of the SDE soft mode has been calculated and found to be clearly measurable.  相似文献

极限学习机理论(extreme learning machine, ELM)作为一种新的化学计量学方法,在近红外光谱定量分析中的应用研究,已引起学术界的高度重视。然而,由于光谱数据维数较高,建立ELM模型时需要大量的隐节点,导致隐含层输出矩阵维数高且存在高度共线性,用现有的Moore-Penrose广义逆算法求取隐含层输出矩阵与待测性质间的回归模型往往会存在病态问题。基于ELM建立光谱波长变量与性质之间的回归模型,提出以ELM模型隐含层输出矩阵作为新的变量,采用作者最新提出的基于变量投影重要性的改进叠加PLS算法(stacked partial least squares regression algorithm based on variable importance in the projection,VIP-SPLS),建立新变量与待测性质间的回归模型。VIP-SPLS算法充分利用了每个隐节点的输出信息,能有效解决高维共线性问题,同时具有模型集成的优点,从而改进了ELM模型的性能。将提出的改进ELM算法(improved ELM,iELM)应用于标准近红外光谱数据集,结果表明iELM模型的精度相对于现有的PLS模型和ELM模型分别显著提升了29.06%和27.47%。  相似文献

Studies of electronic charge transport through semiconductor double quantum dots rely on a conventional "hole" model of transport in the three-electron regime. We show that experimental measurements of charge transport through a Si double quantum dot in this regime cannot be fully explained using the conventional picture. Using a Hartree-Fock (HF) formalism and relevant HF energy parameters extracted from transport data in the multiple-electron regime, we identify a novel spin-flip cotunneling process that lifts a singlet blockade.  相似文献

The degradation behaviour of AlGaAs high power laser bars has been investigated using micro-electroluminescence (-EL) spectroscopy, electroluminescence microscopy (ELM) and micro-photocurrent (-PC) spectroscopy. The emitters in each bar have been individually studied in detail. A significant blue shift of the EL spectra was observed for certain emitters. Inspection of these blue-shifted emitters with ELM also showed the presence of extended defects. The EL spectral shifts correlate with the blue shift of the quantum well (QW) absorption edge observed by photocurrent (PC) spectroscopy and is caused by a mounting induced strain. This correlation suggests that -EL spectroscopy is a reliable and sensitive technology for the recognition of defective emitters and thus for the reliability assessment of high power laser bars.  相似文献

We derive a fully quantum-mechanical equation of motion for a vortex in a 2-dimensional Bose superfluid in the temperature regime where the normal fluid density ρ(n)(T) is small. The coupling between the vortex "zero mode" and the quasiparticles has no term linear in the quasiparticle variables--the lowest-order coupling is quadratic. We find that as a function of the dimensionless frequency Ω=?Ω/k(B)T, the standard Hall-Vinen-Iordanskii equations are valid when Ω?1 (the "classical regime"), but elsewhere, the equations of motion become highly retarded, with significant experimental implications when Ω?1.  相似文献

High temporal and spatial resolution measurements of impurity dynamics associated with an edge-localized mode (ELM) indicate that the ELM perturbation consists of two distinct parts: a rapid (< 300 micros) expulsion of impurity density at the time of the instability followed by a slower time scale (< 1 ms) decrease in the ion temperature. While the density perturbation remains nearly constant over a wide range of plasma collisionality, the temperature perturbation decreases as the collisionality increases. Analysis of the radial electric field E(r) evolution indicates that the E(r) well normally present in H-mode plasmas is modified strongly by the ELM and that the size of the temperature perturbation is correlated with the associated change in the E x B shear.  相似文献

In this paper, simulation on the filamentary structure for the low-hybrid wave heating H-mode on experimental advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST) is carried out for the first time using BOUT++, and the speed and width of edge localized mode (ELM) filaments have been evaluated during the simulation. The evolutions of the ELM filaments are illustrated temporally and spatially. Then the results are compared with the experimental observations. It is found that at the peak gradient region in the outer midplane, the radial speed of the filaments is changed frequently and varied from 0.016 to 0.38 km/s. For the contrast, the poloidal speed oscillates in a narrower range of 0.68–0.88 km/s. The calculation results show the width of ELM filaments oscillates during the simulation, the minimum width is around 8.3 mm, and the maximum value is 41.24 mm. The distributions of the ELM filament widths with the radial position indicate the width is decreased with the radial position. Furthermore, by tracing one single filament, the radial width is decreased gradually when the filament is moving outward, which is also consistent with experiment conclusion. The consistencies also indicate the availability and practicability of the six-field two-fluid model of BOUT++ on the study of ELMs.  相似文献

We report inelastic light scattering experiments in the fractional quantum Hall regime at filling factors . A spin mode is observed below the Zeeman energy. The filling factor dependence of the mode energy is consistent with its assignment to spin flip excitations of composite fermions (CF) with four attached flux quanta (φ=4). Our findings reveal a CF Landau level structure in the φ=4 sequence.  相似文献
