We define nonnegative quasi-nearly subharmonic functions on so called locally uniformly homogeneous spaces. We point out that this function class is rather general. It includes quasi-nearly subharmonic (thus also subharmonic, quasisubharmonic and nearly subharmonic) functions on domains of Euclidean spaces \mathbbRn{{\mathbb{R}}^n}, n ≥ 2. In addition, quasi-nearly subharmonic functions with respect to various measures on domains of \mathbbRn{{\mathbb{R}}^n}, n ≥ 2, are included. As examples we list the cases of the hyperbolic measure on the unit ball B n of \mathbbRn{{\mathbb{R}}^n}, the M{{\mathcal{M}}}-invariant measure on the unit ball B 2n of \mathbbCn{{\mathbb{C}}^n}, n ≥ 1, and the quasihyperbolic measure on any domain D ì \mathbbRn{D\subset {\mathbb{R}}^n}, D 1 \mathbbRn{D\ne {\mathbb{R}}^n}. Moreover, we show that if u is a quasi-nearly subharmonic function on a locally uniformly homogeneous space and the space satisfies a mild additional condition, then also u p is quasi-nearly subharmonic for all p > 0.  相似文献

It is well known and important that if u ≥ 0 is subharmonic on a domain Ω in ℝ n and p > 0, then there is a constant C(n,p) ≥ 1 such that for each open ball B(x,r) ⊂ Ω. The definition of a relatively new function class, quasi-nearly subharmonic functions, is based on such a generalized mean value inequality. It is pointed out that the obtained function class is natural. It has important and interesting properties and, at the same time, it is large: In addition to nonnegative subharmonic functions, it includes, among others, Hervé’s nearly subharmonic functions, functions satisfying certain natural growth conditions, especially certain eigenfunctions, polyharmonic functions and generalizations of convex functions. Further, some of the basic properties of quasi-nearly subharmonic functions are stated in a unified form. Moreover, a characterization of quasi-nearly subharmonic functions with the aid of the quasihyperbolic metric and two weighted boundary limit results are given.   相似文献

In this paper we consider radially symmetric solutions of the nonlinear Dirichlet problem Δu+f(|x|,u)=0 in Ω, where Ω is a ball in RN, N?3 and f satisfies some appropriate assumptions. We prove existence of radially symmetric solutions with k prescribed number of zeros. Moreover, when f(|x|,u)=K(|x|)|u|p−1u, using the uniqueness result due to Tanaka (2008) [21], we verify that these solutions are non-degenerate and we prove that their radial Morse index is exactly k.  相似文献

We study the nonlinear elliptic problem −Δu=ρ(x)f(u) in RN (N?3), lim|x|→∞u(x)=?, where ??0 is a real number, ρ(x) is a nonnegative potential belonging to a certain Kato class, and f(u) has a sublinear growth. We distinguish the cases ?>0 and ?=0 and prove existence and uniqueness results if the potential ρ(x) decays fast enough at infinity. Our arguments rely on comparison techniques and on a theorem of Brezis and Oswald for sublinear elliptic equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a good-λ inequality between the nontangential maximal function and the square area integral of a subharmonic functionu in a bounded NTA domainD inR n . We achieve this by showing that a weighted Riesz measure ofu is a Carleson measure, with the Carleson norm bounded by a constant independent ofu. As consequences of the good-λ inequality, we obtain McConnell-Uchiyama's inequality and an analogue of Murai-Uchiyama's inequality for subharmonic functions inD.  相似文献

In this note, we investigate the regularity of the extremal solution u? for the semilinear elliptic equation −△u+c(x)⋅∇u=λf(u) on a bounded smooth domain of Rn with Dirichlet boundary condition. Here f is a positive nondecreasing convex function, exploding at a finite value a∈(0,∞). We show that the extremal solution is regular in the low-dimensional case. In particular, we prove that for the radial case, all extremal solutions are regular in dimension two.  相似文献

We study the qualitative behavior of non-negative entire solutions of differential inequalities with gradient terms on the Heisenberg group. We focus on two classes of inequalities: Δφu?f(u)l(|∇u|) and Δφu?f(u)−h(u)g(|∇u|), where f, l, h, g are non-negative continuous functions satisfying certain monotonicity properties. The operator Δφ, called the φ-Laplacian, generalizes the p-Laplace operator considered by various authors in this setting. We prove some Liouville theorems introducing two new Keller-Osserman type conditions, both extending the classical one which appeared long ago in the study of the prototype differential inequality Δu?f(u) in Rm. We show sharpness of our conditions when we specialize to the p-Laplacian. While proving these results we obtain a strong maximum principle for Δφ which, to the best of our knowledge, seems to be new. Our results continue to hold, with the obvious minor modifications, also for Euclidean space.  相似文献

We study the structure of positive solutions to the equation ?mΔmu-um-1+f(u)=0 with homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. First, we show the existence of a mountain-pass solution and find that as ?→0+ the mountain-pass solution develops into a spike-layer solution. Second, we prove that there is an uniform upper bound independent of ? for any positive solution to our problem. We also present a Harnack-type inequality for the positive solutions. Finally, we show that if 1<m?2 holds and ? is sufficiently large, any positive solution must be a constant.  相似文献

In this paper, the existence of infinitely many mountain pass solutions are obtained for the fourth-order boundary value problem (BVP) u(4)(t)-2u(t)+u(t)=f(u(t)),0<t<1, u(0)=u(1)=u?(0)=u?(1)=0, where f:RR is continuous. The study of the problem is based on the variational methods and critical point theory. We prove the conclusion by using sub-sup solution method, Mountain Pass Theorem in Order Intervals, Leray-Schauder degree theory and Morse theory.  相似文献

We consider time-independent solutions of hyperbolic equations such as ttu−Δu=f(x,u) where f is convex in u. We prove that linear instability with a positive eigenfunction implies nonlinear instability. In some cases the instability occurs as a blow up in finite time. We prove the same result for parabolic equations such as tu−Δu=f(x,u). Then we treat several examples under very sharp conditions, including equations with potential terms and equations with supercritical nonlinearities.  相似文献

In this paper, the existence of solution for a class of quasilinear elliptic problem div(|? u| p?2 ? u)=a(x)f(u), u≥0 in Ω=B (the unit ball), with the boundary blow-up condition u| ?Ω=+∞ is established, where a(x)∈C(Ω) blows up on ?Ω,p>1 and f is assumed to satisfy (f 1) and (f 2). The infinite dimensional Green measure g is shown to be a product measure and this provides sufficient conditions for the existence and the differentiability of potentials. Moreover, it is shown how such conditions can be used to prove that if f is Lip and if we set u = Gf, then first D2u is Lip too and second u satisfies Δu = ?2f for a wide class of functions f with arbitrary support.  相似文献

We discuss blow-up at space infinity of solutions to quasilinear parabolic equations of the form ut?(u)+f(u) with initial data u0L(RN), where ? and f are nonnegative functions satisfying ??0 and . We study nonnegative blow-up solutions whose blow-up times coincide with those of solutions to the O.D.E. v=f(v) with initial data ‖u0L(RN). We prove that such a solution blows up only at space infinity and possesses blow-up directions and that they are completely characterized by behavior of initial data. Moreover, necessary and sufficient conditions on initial data for blow-up at minimal blow-up time are also investigated.  相似文献

The existence of a -global attractor is proved for the p-Laplacian equation ut−div(|∇u|p−2u)+f(u)=g on a bounded domain ΩRn(n?3) with Dirichlet boundary condition, where p?2. The nonlinear term f is supposed to satisfy the polynomial growth condition of arbitrary order c1q|u|−k?f(u)u?c2q|u|+k and f(u)?−l, where q?2 is arbitrary. There is no other restriction on p and q. The asymptotic compactness of the corresponding semigroup is proved by using a new a priori estimate method, called asymptotic a priori estimate.  相似文献

Let f: cl(G) → E be a continuous condensing multifunction with compact and convex values and with a bounded range. It is shown that for each w? int(G), there exists a u = u(w) ??(cl(G)) such that p(f(u) ? u) = inf{p(x ? y): x?f(u), y? cl(G)}, where p is the Minkowski's functional of the set (cl(G) ? w). In this paper we obtain essentially sharp generalized Keller-Osserman conditions for wide classes of differential inequalities of the form Lu?b(x)f(u)?(|∇u|) and Lu?b(x)f(u)?(|∇u|)−g(u)h(|∇u|) on weighted Riemannian manifolds, where L is a non-linear diffusion-type operator. Prototypical examples of these operators are the p-Laplacian and the mean curvature operator. The geometry of the underlying manifold is reflected, via bounds for the modified Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature, by growth conditions for the functions b and ?. A weak maximum principle which extends and improves previous results valid for the φ-Laplacian is also obtained. Geometric comparison results, valid even in the case of integral bounds for the modified Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor, are presented.  相似文献

In this paper we study a nonlocal equation that takes into account convective and diffusive effects, ut=Juu+G∗(f(u))−f(u) in Rd, with J radially symmetric and G not necessarily symmetric. First, we prove existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence with respect to the initial condition of solutions. This problem is the nonlocal analogous to the usual local convection-diffusion equation utu+b⋅∇(f(u)). In fact, we prove that solutions of the nonlocal equation converge to the solution of the usual convection-diffusion equation when we rescale the convolution kernels J and G appropriately. Finally we study the asymptotic behaviour of solutions as t→∞ when f(u)=|u|q−1u with q>1. We find the decay rate and the first-order term in the asymptotic regime.  相似文献
