Simplified Navier-Stokes equations, of the elliptic and hyperbolic type in the subsonic and supersonic flow regions, respectively, are derived for viscous flows in channels and nozzles with curved walls whose local radii of longitudinal curvature are comparable with the transverse channel dimensions. A new numerical method is developed for the system of equations obtained. This method is of the evolution type along the longitudinal coordinate and includes global iterations of the streamline direction field and the longitudinal pressure gradient field. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated with reference to the solution of the direct Laval nozzle problem for an air flow at Reynolds numbers Re104 and 106 in conical nozzles with throat curvatures K
w=1.0 and 1.6 (K
w is the curvature divided by the inverse radius of the nozzle throat). Two iterations are sufficient to calculate the nozzle flow rate and power correct to 0.01%. 相似文献

Small nonstationary perturbations in a viscous heat-conducting compressible medium are analyzed on the basis of the linearization of the complete system of hydrodynamic equations for small Knudsen numbers (Kn ≪ 1). It is shown that the density and temperature perturbations (elastic perturbations) satisfy the same wave equation which is an asymptotic limit of the hydrodynamic equations far from the inhomogeneity regions of the medium (rigid, elastic or fluid boundaries) as M

= v/a → 0, where v is the perturbed velocity and a is the adiabatic speed of sound. The solutions of the new equation satisfy the first and second laws of thermodynamics and are valid up to the frequencies determined by the applicability limits of continuum models. Fundamental solutions of the equation are obtained and analyzed. The boundary conditions are formulated and the problem of the interaction of a spherical elastic harmonic wave with an infinite flat surface is solved. We consider a reaction-diffusion system of KPP type in a shear flow and with a non-zero heat-loss parameter. We establish criteria for the flame blow-off and propagation, and identify the propagation speed in terms of the exponential decay of the initial data. We prove the existence of travelling fronts for all speeds c>max(0,c*) in the case Le=1, where c* ∈ ℝ. This seems to be one of the first non-perturbative results on the existence of fronts for the thermo-diffusive system in higher dimensions. 相似文献

An asymptotic expansion of the solution of a nonhomogeneous matrix difference equation of general form is obtained. The case when there is no bound on the differences of the arguments is considered. The effect of the roots of the characteristic equation is taken into account. The asymptotic behavior of the remainder is established depending on the asymptotics of the free term of the equation.

This paper studies the partial differential equation with a small coefficient in the highest-order item. This kind of equation
is also named as boundary layer problem. The Burgers equation and modified Burgers equation are analyzed in this approach.
First, these equations are transferred into the strong nonlinear ones, and then the corresponding strong nonlinear equations
are solved based on the perturbation method. The results from the asymptotic method are comparable with those obtained from
numerical computation.

The behavior of a floating semiinfinite plate in surface waves incident normally to the edge of the plate is studied. We used an analytical solution of this problem obtained earlier by the Wiener–Hopf technique. In this paper, we study the distributions of displacements, deformations, and pressure over the plate as functions of the dimensionless parameters of the problem (reduced rigidity and depth) and their asymptotic distributions for large and small wavelengths. 相似文献

A class of exact analytic solutions of the system of nonlinear long-wave equations is found. This class corresponds to the axisymmetric vibrations of an ideal incompressible homogeneous fluid in a rotating vessel in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution. The radial velocity of these motions is a linear function, and the azimuthal velocity and free surface displacements are polynomials in the radial coordinate with time-dependent coefficients. The nonlinear vibration frequency is equal to the frequency of the lowest mode of linear axisymmetric standing waves in the parabolic vessel. 相似文献

本文讨论了采用高阶Boussinesq方程模拟波浪散射时对基本速度变量位置的局部光滑处理方法。通过光滑局部基本速度变量的取值深度,减小其高阶导数项的量值、加快级数收敛速度进而改善模型方程求解深水波浪散射问题的能力。对于底部边界具有一阶导数不连续的情况,通过局部光滑.可以将基本速度变量取值深度尖角转化为圆角过渡,从而改善速度分布。对于其它任意变化的底部边界,为了减少高阶底坡导数项的影响,在曲率和高阶底坡导数项与斜率具有相同量级的情况下亦需要对基本速度变量的取值深度局部光滑。数值计算结果表明本文提出的光滑技术可以很好地改善Boussinesq方程模拟浅水波和深水波在斜坡地形上散射问题的能力。 相似文献
