Surface modification of argon‐plasma‐pretreated poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) film via UV‐induced graft copolymerization with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) was carried out first. Reactive adsorption of γ‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS) onto the GMA graft‐copolymerized PTFE (GMA‐g‐PTFE) film surface was performed by the simple immersion of the film in the APS solution. The adsorption process was studied as a function of the APS concentration, the immersion time of the graft‐modified PTFE film in the APS solution, and the washing protocol. The chemical composition and morphology of the silane‐modified surfaces were characterized by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy, respectively. The performance of the silane‐modified PTFE surface in adhesion promotion was investigated. The T‐peel adhesion strength of the evaporated Cu on the PTFE film with the reactively adsorbed organosilane increased significantly to about 12.5 N/cm. This adhesion strength was more than twice that of the assembly involving evaporated Cu on the GMA‐g‐PTFE film and about 10 times that of the assembly involving evaporated Cu on the Ar‐plasma‐treated PTFE film. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. One-dimensional titania nanomaterials were synthesized by soft chemical processes in an alkali medium. The effect of alkali-treatment temperature on the morphology, porosity, and crystalline phase of TiO2 nanomaterials was investigated. Nanotubes having an opening end were observed when aging the sample at 130 °C, while conducting the process at 180 °C resulted in nanoribbons with a high aspect ratio. Post-treatment at 300 °C led to the partial transformation from tubular structures into nanoparticles or ribbons into nanobelts. While the monoclinic sodium hexatitanate and anatase crystal had a tubular structure, nanoribbons and nanobelt TiO2 also showed the presence of hydrogen titanate and sodium trititanate. High surface areas were achieved in as-prepared nanotubes and nanoribbons, 456.5 and 72.1 m2/g, respectively, and a drastic reduction was obtained upon post-treatment at 300 °C to 72.1 and 19.2 m2/g, respectively.  相似文献

A new method for biomolecular patterning based on ion irradiation‐induced graft polymerization was demonstrated in this study. Ion irradiation on a polymer surface resulted in the formation of active species, which was further used for surface‐initiated graft polymerization of acrylic acid. The results of the grafting study revealed that the surface graft polymerization using 20 vol % of acrylic acid on the poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) film irradiated at the fluence of 1 × 1015 ions/cm2 for 12 h was the optimum graft polymerization condition to achieve the maximum grafting degree. The results of the fluorescence microscopy also revealed that the optimum fluence to achieve the maximum fluorescence intensity was 1 × 1015 ions/cm2. The grafting of acrylic acid on the PTFE surfaces was confirmed by a fluorescence labeling method. The grafted PTFE films were used for the immobilization of amine‐functionalized p‐DNA, followed by hybridization with fluorescently tagged c‐DNA. Biotin‐amine was also immobilized on the acrylic acid grafted PTFE surfaces. Successful biotin‐specific binding of streptavidin further confirmed the potential of this strategy for patterning of various biomolecules. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Cloud point extraction and micellar chromatographic methods were developed for determination of vitamins A and E. The stationary phase was C18 and the mobile phase was 3.00% (w/v) SDS, 15.0% (v/v) butyl alcohol and 0.02 mol L?1 phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.0. The retention times for vitamins A and E were 9.6 and 13.0, respectively. The extraction solution was 100 mmol L?1 Triton X-100, 650 mg NaCl and 1.0% ascorbic acid at 70°C for 30 min. The method is precise (r.s.d. < 7%), the linear range was from 5.0 up to 360.0 mg L?1 for both vitamins. Recovery test showed recuperation between 90.2 and 99.2%, and LOD and LOQ of 0.234 and 0.108 mg L?1, 0.780 and 0.360 mg L?1 to vitamins A and E were found.  相似文献

By comparing surface properties assessed by wettability measurements with polymer-metal adhesion strength determined by peeling for different grafted polyolefins (acrylic acid grafted polyethylene, acrylic acid and maleic anhydride grafted poly(ethylene-vinyl acetate), maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene), a general adhesion mechanism can be proposed. The surface polarity is not the main determining parameter for adhesion. Polyolefin-aluminium adhesion is obtained through chemical bonding of acid groups grafted in the polymer bulk and basic groups present on the aluminium.  相似文献

“Surface-photografting” with UV-irradiation of polypropylene (PP) fiber and film and high-strength polyethylene (HSPE) yarn has been made with acrylic acid (AA) and acrylamide (AM) as monomers and benzophenone (BP), 4-chlorobenzophenone (4-BCP) and hydroxylcyclohexylacetophenone (HHA) as photoinitiators using a new continuous method. The grafting reaction occurs in a thin liquid layer on the fiber or film substrate, which is presoaked in a solution containing initiator and monomer. After irradiation with a highpressure mercury lamp, HPM 15 (2 kW) from Philips, for 5–20 sec at about 50°C the fiber and film surface is completely covered with a 2–8 nm thick layer of grafted polymer, analyzed by electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis. The grafting efficiency is 70–80%, i.e. only 20–30% of the polymer is homopolymer which can be removed by extraction. The grafted layers are so thin that they cannot be analyzed as weight increase (<0.1% of fiber weight). Absolute values for the amount of grafted AA polymer is analyzed by microtitration of the COOH groups at the fiber surface. The results agree well with the relative ESCA values. Grafting of commercial PP yarn with AA increases the adsorption of Crystal Violet dye with a factor of about 6. Grafting the same yarn with AM increases the adhesion to epoxy resin by a factor of 3–4 without affecting the mechanical properties of the fiber more than a few percent. For comparison, strips of blown PP film (5 mm wide) are modified by “surface-photografting” with AM. With increasing grafting, the contact angle for drops of distilled water decreases from 90° to 20°, indicating extensive wetting. The adhesion to epoxy resin increases from about 0.35 to 1.7 N/mm2, i.e. with a factor of about 5 when the film surface is completely covered. Other comparisons are made with grafting of commercial HSPE yarn. Grafting with AA increases the adsorption of Crystal Violet dye by a factor of about 6. Grafting with AM increases the adhesion to epoxy resin from 0.25 to 1.3 N/nm2, i.e. with a factor of 5. The bulk mechanical properties of the HSPE filaments are not affected by the grafting measured as tensile strength 2.7±0.1 GPa, elongation at break 4.8±0.3%, and Young's modulus 55±3 GPa, both before and after “surface-photografting”.  相似文献

The thermal degradation of copolymers based on butyl acrylate-methyl acrylate-acrylic acid used as acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives, especially for bonding of plasticizer containing materials, has been investigated using thermogravimetry and pyrolysis-gas chromatography at 250°C. It was observed that during the pyrolysis of butyl acrylate-methyl acrylate-acrylic acid copolymers unsaturated monomers as methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate and butyl methacrylate were formed. During the side-chain butyl acrylate-methyl-acrylate-acrylic acid-copolymer degradation the presence of methyl alcohol and butyl alcohol was observed.  相似文献

In this study, samples of moso bamboo were hydrolyzed for textile fiber with oxalic acid under various process conditions. Saeman hydrolysis models were applied to predict the percentage of xylan remained in the substrate after pretreatment and the net xylose yield in the liquid stream. Kinetic constants for Saeman hydrolysis models were analyzed by an Arrhenius-type expansion which include activation energy and catalyst concentration factors. The result showed that the degradation activation energies of xylan and xylose were 97.27 and 136.38 kJ/mol, respectively. Then the kinetic of mathematical models were obtained. Furthermore, the reaction parameters of oxalic acid concentration (1–4 % w/w), reaction temperature (150–180 °C), and reaction time (5–60 min) were handled as a single parameter, combined severity, which ranged in the present study from 0.86 to 1.62. Using combined severity parameters, an optimal condition was achieved which was as the followings: oxalic acid 2.0 % w/w, 170 °C, and 20 min. Under these conditions, 2.3 g glucose/L and 13.65 g xylose/L were produced in the hydrolysate fraction, 54.1 % glucan and 10.8 % xylan were produced in the residue fraction.  相似文献

Platelet adhesion and protein adsorption on the silicone rubber film grafted with N,N'-dimethyl-N-methacryloyloxyethyl-N-(2-carboxyethyl) ammonium (DMMCA) was studied. The grafting was carried out by means of ozone-induced method and was confirmed by ATR-FTIR and XPS investigations. The grafted films possessed relatively hydrophilic surface revealed by contact angle measurement. The blood compatibility of the grafted film was evaluated in vitro by platelet adhesion in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and protein absorption in bovine fibrinogen (BFG) using silicone film as the reference. No substantial platelet adhesion was observed for the grafted films incubated in PRP for 60 and 180 min. The protein absorption was also significantly reduced after incubated in bovine fibrinogen for 60 min. Both the results indicated that the blood compatibility of silicone rubber was greatly improved by ozone-induced grafting of carboxybetaine zwitterionic polymer onto its surface.  相似文献

Surface modification of poly(tetrafluoroethylene) films by plasma polymerization and deposition of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) was carried out. The effects of glow‐discharge conditions on the chemical structure and composition of the deposited GMA polymer were analyzed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. XPS and FTIR results revealed that the epoxide groups in the plasma‐polymerized GMA (pp‐GMA) layer had been preserved to various extents, depending on the plasma deposition conditions. The morphology of the modified PTFE surface was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The pp‐GMA film with well‐preserved epoxide groups was used as an adhesion promotion layer to enhance the adhesion of the electrolessly deposited copper on the PTFE film. The T‐peel adhesion test results showed that the adhesion strength between the electrolessly deposited copper and the pp‐GMA‐modified PTFE (pp‐GMA‐PTFE) film was much higher than that between the electrolessly deposited copper and the pristine or the Ar plasma‐treated PTFE film. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The paper deals with the exploitation of Ipomoea carnea as a feedstock for the production of bioethanol. Dilute acid pretreatment under optimum conditions (3 %H2SO4, 120 °C for 45 min) produced 17.68 g L?1 sugars along with 1.02 g L?1 phenolics and 1.13 g L?1 furans. A combination of overliming and activated charcoal adsorption facilitated the removal of 91.9 % furans and 94.7 % phenolics from acid hydrolysate. The pretreated biomass was further treated with a mixture of sodium sulphite and sodium chlorite and, a maximum lignin removal of 81.6 % was achieved. The enzymatic saccharification of delignified biomass resulted in 79.4 % saccharification with a corresponding sugar yield of 753.21 mg g?1. Equal volume of enzymatic hydrolysate and acid hydrolysate were mixed and used for fermentation with a hybrid yeast strain RPRT90. Fermentation of mixed detoxified hydrolysate at 30 °C for 28 h produced ethanol with a yield of 0.461 g g?1. A comparable ethanol yield (0.414 g g?1) was achieved using a mixture of enzymatic hydrolysate and undetoxified acid hydrolysate. Thus, I. carnea biomass has been demonstrated to be a potential feedstock for bioethanol production, and the use of hybrid yeast may pave the way to produce bioethanol from this biomass.  相似文献

Acrylic acid was first electropolymerized on the surface of a gold electrode. Then, polyaniline (PANI) was electrodeposited on the poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) network to give a PANI–PAA composite film. Scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical studies confirmed the formation of PANI–PAA composite which exhibited excellent electroactivity over a wide pH range. The electro-oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) was studied in detail. The modified electrode exhibits significantly reduced oxidation overpotential. The response towards AA is linear in the range 1.0 μM to 9.3 mM (R?=?0.9997, n?=?33) at a potential of 0.1 V (vs. SCE). The sensitivity is 207 μA mM-1 cm-2, and the detection limit is 1.0 μM (S/N?=?3). Interferences by uric acid and dopamine are negligible. The electrode thus enables sensitive and selective determination of AA, with a performance superior to many other PANI–based ascorbate sensors.  相似文献

Vulcanization of an adhered layer with the use of low-temperature vulcanizing agents with different adhesion activities was carried out to increase the heat resistance and resistance to displacement of the adhesive tapes with different adhesive activity. It is shown that the force variation of the vulcanized adherent layer based on the chlorobutyl rubber and polymeric petroleum resin for peeling from steel depends on the measurement temperature: at 25°C, the peeling force decreases, while at 80°C it increases as compared with nonvulcanized adhesive. The observed changes are conditioned both by the increase of the cohesion strength of the adhered layer and by decrease of the elastic component in the layer peeling energy.  相似文献

The use of unconventional synthesis methods in the formation of CaO·2Al2O3 (CA2) is justified because it reduces the formation temperature of the compound. CA2 is formed by classical method at temperatures above 1,400 °C. The polymeric precursor method allows a significant temperature decrease in CA2 synthesis reaching temperatures of 1,000 °C. This paper deals with CA2 synthesis by “citrate” method which is often presented as Pechini method, starting from a mixture of citric acid, ethylene glycol and calcium, and aluminum nitrates. A method based on the formation of a polymeric precursor was also used, starting from a mixture of acrylic acid and nitrates of calcium and aluminum. The results showed a net difference in favor of samples obtained from acrylic acid, which by annealing at 800 °C for 1 h, contain pure CA2. The samples obtained from citric acid, after annealing at 800 °C are amorphous. After annealing at 900 °C in all samples CA2 is single phase.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to combine the advantages of the dried blood spot (DBS) sampling process with the highly sensitive and selective negative-ion chemical ionization tandem mass spectrometry (NICI-MS-MS) to analyze for recent antidepressants including fluoxetine, norfluoxetine, reboxetine, and paroxetine from micro whole blood samples (i.e., 10 μL). Before analysis, DBS samples were punched out, and antidepressants were simultaneously extracted and derivatized in a single step by use of pentafluoropropionic acid anhydride and 0.02% triethylamine in butyl chloride for 30 min at 60 °C under ultrasonication. Derivatives were then separated on a gas chromatograph coupled with a triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer operating in negative selected reaction monitoring mode for a total run time of 5 min. To establish the validity of the method, trueness, precision, and selectivity were determined on the basis of the guidelines of the “Société Française des Sciences et des Techniques Pharmaceutiques” (SFSTP). The assay was found to be linear in the concentration ranges 1 to 500 ng mL?1 for fluoxetine and norfluoxetine and 20 to 500 ng mL?1 for reboxetine and paroxetine. Despite the small sampling volume, the limit of detection was estimated at 20 pg mL?1 for all the analytes. The stability of DBS was also evaluated at ?20 °C, 4 °C, 25 °C, and 40 °C for up to 30 days. Furthermore, the method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic investigation performed on a healthy volunteer after oral administration of a single 40-mg dose of fluoxetine. Thus, this validated DBS method combines an extractive—derivative single step with a fast and sensitive GC-NICI-MS-MS technique. Using microliter blood samples, this procedure offers a patient-friendly tool in many biomedical fields such as checking treatment adherence, therapeutic drug monitoring, toxicological analyses, or pharmacokinetic studies.  相似文献

The superhydrophobic surface on copper is fabricated by using a simple hydrothermal reaction and subsequent perfluorosilane treatment. The micro‐structured and nano‐structured surface was directly obtained through the hydrothermal reaction of copper sheets with sulfur at 180 °C for 12 h, resulting in the formation of copper sulfide film on the copper substrate. The chemical composition of this film was confirmed using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. After copper sulfide film is treated by perfluorosilane, the superhydrophobic surface with static water contact angle of 153 °C and a low contact angle hysteresis is achieved. A butyl rubber derivative that can be cured upon exposure to UV light in the absence of additional chemical additives was developed. This polymer was prepared by the reaction of hydroxyl-functionalized butyl rubber with cinnamoyl chloride to provide a cinnamate functionalized rubber. The cinnamate content was varied by starting with derivatives prepared from butyl rubber containing either 2 or 7 mol% isoprene. The kinetics of the cross-linking was studied by UV–visible spectroscopy and it was found to vary according to the film thickness. The changes in gel content and volume swelling ratio with irradiation time were dependent on the cinnamate content. Toxicity studies suggested that the cross-linked materials do not leach toxic molecules. The approach was also applied to obtain cross-linked films of butyl rubber-poly(ethylene oxide) graft copolymers, leading to surfaces that resisted the adhesion and growth of cells. Thus the approach is versatile and is of particular interest when non-leaching coatings of cross-linked butyl rubber are desired for biomedical or other applications.  相似文献

The molecular motion of unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) was studied by dynamic viscoelastic measurements. From results for variously heat treated suspension polymerized (molding powder) PTFE, the following conclusions are drawn. Molding powder, as received, has a high degree of crystallinity according to calorimetric results and lower magnitude of the γ relaxation, but the behavior of the β relaxation suggests that the crystals are disordered more than those of the sintered PTFE. The β relaxation peak for an emulsion polymerized PTFE (fine powder) occurs at a higher temperature and is sharper than that for the molding powder, so that the crystals of the fine powder are better ordered than that for the molding powder. The behavior of the β relaxation for the radiation induced-polymerized PTFE is affected by polymerization conditions, particularly concentration of emulsifier. It is concluded from the results for the unsintered PTFE polymerized by various methods that the nature of crystalline state is decided during the course of simultaneous polymerization and crystallization. Molding powder as received has a relatively high magnitude of relaxation between 30°C to 180°C, but with little temperature dependence in this temperature range. This relaxation is diminished by gamma-ray irradiation. Since the molding powder has a complicated morphology, the relaxation in this temperature range is attributed to inter-particle friction rather than a relaxation associated with motion on the molecular level.  相似文献

The separation and determination of 19 amino acids were examined using two stages derivatization with trifluoroacetylacetone and ethyl chloroformate from the column HP-5 (30 m × 0.32 mm id) with film thickness 0.25 ??m at an initial column temperature 100 °C for 2 min with ramping of 20 °C min?1 up to 250 °C with nitrogen flow rate of 3 mL min?1. The detection was performed by flame ionization detector. Total separation time was 10 min. The separation was repeatable with relative standard deviation (RSD) (n = 5) within 1.5?C1.9 and 1.3?C1.7% in terms of retention time and peak height/peak area, respectively. The method was applied for the determination of amino acids from skin samples of psoriatic patients (n = 6), arsenicosis patients (n = 5) and normal subjects (n = 9) and variation in the contents of the amino acids was noted. The RSDs for the determination were obtained within 3%.  相似文献

A simple, selective, sensitive, precise, simultaneous liquid chromatographic analysis of capsules containing thioctic acid, benfotiamine and cyanocobalamin was described. Good chromatographic separation was achieved using a Zorbax C18 (4.6 cm × 250 mm, 5 μm) and a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile–phosphate buffer pH 3.5 (15:85, v/v) at a flow rate of 0.9 mL min?1. The ultraviolet detector was set a wavelength of 280 nm. Thioctic acid, benfotiamine and cyanocobalamin were eluted at 2.869, 3.752 and 13.689 min, respectively. The linear ranges for thioctic acid, benfotiamine and cyanocobalamin were 30–180, 4–24 and 0.025–0.150 μg mL?1, respectively. The recoveries of thioctic acid, benfotiamine and cyanocobalamine in pharmaceutical preparation were all greater than 98% and their relative standard deviations were less than 2.0%. The limits of detection were 2.57, 0.19 and 0.003 μg mL?1 for thioctic acid, benfotiamine and cyanocobalamin, respectively.  相似文献
