The frequencies of 42 far-infrared laser lines have been measured by mixing with high-order harmonics of microwave frequencies in a Josephson junction. A total of 5 emissions between 334 and 1887 m have been measured from12C16O2-pumped methyl chloride (CH3Cl) and 37 emissions between 116 and 1092 m in12C18O2-pumped difluoromethane (CH2F2). A three-laser heterodyne system has been used to measure the frequencies of seven previously observed optically pumped FIR laser emissions generated by the CH3OD methanol isotope. The frequencies, measured for the first time, are reported with fractional uncertainties up to ±2×10-7 for laser emissions ranging in wavelength from 80.1 to 183.3 m. A threelaser heterodyne system was used to measure the frequencies of eleven optically pumped laser emissions from CHD2OH in the farinfrared (FIR) region. These frequencies, reported with fractional uncertainties of the order ± 2 × 10–7, are for emissions ranging from 102.9 to 212.4 m. To our knowledge, these measurements are the first reported FIR laser frequencies for the CHD2OH methanol isotope when used as an optically pumped laser medium.  相似文献

The frequencies of 26 laser lines with wavelengths between 57 and 534 m have been measured in the optically pumped laser gases CH3OD and N2H4. A pair of stabilized cw 12CO 2 lasers was used as a frequency standard for the heterodyne frequency measurements. Seven of the 26 lines are new.  相似文献

Twenty-four new submillimeter laser lines in fully deuterated methyl alcohol (CD3OD) in the wavelength range from 52 to 328 m have been obtained in a Fabry-Perot FIR resonator by optically pumping the methanol with a cw CO2 laser. We have made accurate wavelength measurements and have determined the relative polarization of most of the known CD3OD laser lines. The wavelengths, frequencies, and relative polarizations of 15 FIR cw lasing lines obtained by optically pumping CHCl2F with a cw CO2 laser have been measured. We report the discovery of four laser emissions from the partially deuterated C-13 methanol isotope 13CD3OH when optically pumped with a cw carbon dioxide (CO2) laser. The wavelengths of these lines, ranging from 45.3 to 108.9 m, are reported along with their polarizations relative to the CO2 pump laser, operating pressure, and relative intensity. A three-laser heterodyne system was then used to measure the frequencies of eight optically pumped laser emissions from this methanol isotope. The author reports that TEA-CO2 with an intra-cavity etalon is a useful pumping source which can deliver widely tunable beam (tunable range 1 GHz) with accurate oscillation frequencies and with high power compared to a tunable wave guide laser.The source is applied to the excitations of CH3OH and the FIR emissions from it are well assigned for there absorption transitions and FIR emissions. This proves that the source display not only usefulness for development of new FIR emissions but also for molecular spectroscopy.  相似文献

Fully deuterated isotopomers of methanol (12CD3OD and 13CD3OD) were optically pumped with a CO2 laser. Five new far-infrared laser lines were discovered in 12CD3OD and 25 in 13CD3OD in the range 43.697 to 719.426 m. The frequencies of these new and some previously reported laser lines, the pump offset, the relative polarization, the relative intensity, and the optimum pressure of operation were measured.  相似文献

Hydrazine (N2H4) and the deuterated isotopes of difluoromethane (CD2F2) and methanol (CH3OD and CD3OH) have been reinvestigated as sources of far-infrared (FIR) laser emissions using an optically pumped molecular laser system designed for wavelengths below 150 microns. With this system, seven FIR laser emissions from optically pumped N2H4, CH3OD and CD3OH were discovered with wavelengths ranging from 54.0 to 185.0 m. In addition, the polarizations of eight previously observed laser emissions from optically pumped N2H4, CH3OD and CD2F2 were measured for the first time. All laser emissions are reported with their operating pressures, relative polarizations and wavelengths, measured to ±0.5 m. The effectiveness of this particular system in generating short-wavelength laser emissions has been further demonstrated by the improvement in output power observed from nine known FIR laser emissions. To expand the possibilities of spectroscopic systems based on a CO2 laser, we have mixed the frequencies of its radiation with the radiation of erbium lasers. Simultaneous use of Er3+:CaF2 ( = 2.76 m) and Er3+:YAG lasers ( = 2.96 m) makes it possible for the spectrum of generated sum and difference frequencies to overlap the ranges 2.2–2.3 and 3.6–4.3 m that coincide with the atmospheric transparency windows. Generation of the difference frequencies of radiation of erbium lasers and of the 10.6-m radiation of a CO2 laser were observed in CdSe at a phase-matching angle of 72°40. In a bleached CdSe crystal of length 40 mm the efficiency of transformation has attained 12%. To sum up the frequencies, 4.5-mm ZnGeP2 crystals were used, with the efficiency of transformation being 3% and the phase-matching angle being equal to 52°.  相似文献

The luminescence properties of Ce3+ and Tb3+ in Y3Si2O8Cl have been investigated. The Ce3+ excitation bands in the region from 220 to are attributed to the transitions from 4f level to the crystal-field splitting levels of 5d. The Tb3+ excitation bands in the region from 220 to are due to the 4f-5d transitions. The spectral energy distributions of Tb3+ emission strongly depend on the Tb3+ concentration, the emissions of Tb3+ decrease with increasing Tb3+ concentration, this phenomenon is due to the cross-relaxation between Tb3+ ions. The efficient energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in the Y3Si2O8Cl is observed and discussed.  相似文献

Using a grating-tuned CO2-TEA laser to pump CH3OH in a metallic-wave-guide resonator, submillimeter laser emissions have been produced by pumping with 36 lines in the 9.4m CO2 band and with 23 lines in the 10.6m band. Several dozen new SMM laser lines were observed. Wavelengths accurate to within 0.1% are given for 12 previously unmeasured lines between 34m and 225m.  相似文献

The high resolution Stark spectra of the singly deuterated methanol isotope, CH3OD, have been studied using the HCN laser with Stark fields up to approximately 60 000 V/cm. Numerous families of absorption lines have been observed in both parallel and perpendicular polarizations, resulting in the following assignments: with the 311 m line – J K = 181 180 E 2, t = 1; and with the 337 m line – J k = 64 53 E 2, t = 0 and J K = 146 135 A, t = 1. Zero-field frequencies for the assigned transitions are in agreement with Fourier transform measurements and those calculated from the available molecular constants.  相似文献

The asymmetric stretching fundamental of the PO2 free radical in its ground electronic state has been measured between 1280 and 1360 cm−1 using diode laser absorption spectroscopy. This new data set has been combined in a fit with an earlier, smaller infrared data set and with pure rotational transitions measured by microwave and laser magnetic resonance spectroscopies to provide a new set of parameters for the ground and ν3 = 1 states of A1 PO2. These parameters can be used to calculate line positions in this band for transitions up to N = 50.  相似文献

Submillimeter laser-Stark spectra have been observed for the isotopic species of methyl fluoride,13CH3F, using the 337 m line of the HCN laser. We have identified the multiplet transitions as JK=18K17K in the ground vibrational state. Ten distinct families with K=8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 have been observed. Zero-field frequencies for all the transitions are given and in most cases with better accuracy than predicted from the previous constants.  相似文献

Electron spin resonance (ESR) experiments in YbRh2Si2 Kondo lattice at different field/frequencies and Hc revealed: (i) a strong field dependent Yb3+ spin-lattice relaxation, (ii) a weak field and T-dependent effectiveg-value, (iii) a suppression of the ESR intensity beyond 15% of Lu-doping, and (iv) a strong sample and Lu-doping (≤15%) dependence of the ESR data. These results suggest that the ESR signal in YbRh2Si2 may be due to a coupled Yb3+-conduction electron resonant collective mode with a subtle field-dependent spins dynamic.  相似文献

Spectral absorption cross-sections, kν (), have been measured in the 8.0 and bands of C2F6. Temperature and total (N2-broadening) pressure have been varied to represent the conditions specified in various models of the terrestrial atmosphere so that the absorption cross-sections can be applied directly to the optical remote-sensing of C2F6 in the atmosphere. The measured absolute intensities of the 8.0 and the bands are (1.636±0.003)×10−16 and (, respectively.  相似文献
