Some remarks on the genericity of unique range sets for meromorphic functions

In this paper we relate the study of unique range sets for meromorphic functions (URSM) with the hyperbolic hypersurfaces and give some remarks on the genericity of unique range sets for meromorphic functions.

     

Meromorphic functions with deficiencies generating unique range sets

With the help of weighted sharing of sets we deal with the problem of unique range set for meromorphic functions with deficient values and obtain a result which improves, generalizes and extends some previous results. We provide two examples to show that the condition in one of our results is the best possible.

On the behaviour of the successive derivatives of meromorphic functions on the final set

We study the behaviour of the sequence of successive derivatives of meromorphic functions at points of the so-called final set. We prove that, whereas in many cases this sequence tends to ∞, for a special class of meromorphic functions, it may have extremely wild behaviour. We also prove a connection between the derivatives of meromorphic functions from this class and so-called Dirichlet sets.

ON UNIQUENESS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS WITH SHARED-SETS IN AN ANGULAR DOMAIN

In this article, we deal with the uniqueness problems on meromorphic functions sharing two finite sets in an angular domain instead of the whole plane C. In particular, we investigate the uniqueness for meromorphic functions of infinite order in an angular domain and obtain some results. Moreover, examples show that the conditions in theorems are necessary.     

Periodic Fatou Components of Meromorphic Functions

In iteration theory of rational functions, it is well knownthat any Fatou component is mapped onto another in an n-to-1manner, and that periodic components are simply, doubly or infinitelyconnected. For meromorphic functions, the situation is much more complicated.Using Ahlfors' theory of covering surfaces, we prove that Fatoucomponents are mapped ‘nearly’ onto others, andthat periodic components are again simply, doubly or infinitelyconnected. Instead of considering meromorphic functions withonly one essential singularity, we allow countable sets of singularitiesand partly even sets of logarithmic capacity zero. It remains open whether doubly connected periodic componentsof meromorphic functions with only one singularity are necessarilyHerman rings (as holds for rational functions). Discrete infinite sets in a finite dimensional space, i.e., infinite sets without finite limit points appear in various branches of analysis (zero and pole sets of meromorphic functions, various models in the mathematical theory of quasicrystals, and so on). Here we introduce some notions and present some new theorems connected with such sets.     

Further results on uniqueness of derivatives of meromorphic functions sharing three sets

In this paper we prove some uniqueness theorems concerning the derivatives of meromorphic functions when they share three sets. The obtained results improve some recent existing results.
