Using the examples given by S.J. Dilworth and M. Girardi, we prove that the set of all nowhere Pettis differentiable functions is a G δ -dense set in the space of all X-valued Pettis integrable functions on [0, 1]. Let (Ω,Σ,μ) be a complete finite measure space and X a Banach space. If all X-valued Pettis integrals defined on (Ω,Σ,μ) have separable ranges we show that the space of all weakly μ-measurable (classes of scalarly equivalent) X-valued Pettis integrable functions with integrals of finite variation, equipped with the variation norm, contains a copy of?c 0 if and only if X does.  相似文献

Let be a weakly Lindelöf determined Banach space. We prove that if is non-separable, then there exist a complete probability space and a bounded Pettis integrable function that is not Birkhoff integrable; when the density character of is greater than or equal to the continuum, then is defined on with the Lebesgue measure. Moreover, in the particular case (the cardinality of being greater than or equal to the continuum) the function can be taken as the pointwise limit of a uniformly bounded sequence of Birkhoff integrable functions, showing that the analogue of Lebesgue's dominated convergence theorem for the Birkhoff integral does not hold in general.

In this paper we introduce the notion of decomposability in the space of Henstock‐Kurzweil‐Pettis integrable (for short HKP‐integrable) functions. We show representations theorems for decomposable sets of HKP‐integrable or Henstock integrable functions, in terms of the family of selections of suitable multifunctions.  相似文献

In this note we characterize a large class of C 0-semigroups which can be applied to prove the existence and the uniqueness of the solutions of many systems of partial differential equations. Applying a simple integration by parts formula for the Henstock-Kurzweil integral, we obtain a simple proof of the Riesz representation theorem for the space of Henstock-Kurzweil integrable functions. Many authors have been concerned with embedding -like continua in Rn where is some collection of polyhedra or manifolds. A similar concern has been embedding -like continua in Rn up to shape. In this paper we prove two main theorems. Theorem: If n ? 2 and X is Tn-like, then X embeds in R2n. This result was conjectured by McCord for the case H1(X) finitely generated and proved by McCord for the case that H1(X) = 0 using a theorem of Isbell. The second theorem is a shape embedding theorem. Theorem: If X is Tn-like, then X embeds in Rn+2 up to shape. This theorem is proved by showing that an n-dimensional compact connected abelian topological group embeds in Rn+2. Any Tn-like continuum is shape equivalent to a k-dimensional compact connected abelian topological group for some 0 ? k ? n.  相似文献
