Let \({H}\) be a complex Hilbert space of dimension greater than \({3}\). We show that every surjective 2-local \({*}\)-Lie isomorphism \({\Phi}\) of \({B(H)}\) has the form \({\Phi=\Psi+\tau}\), where \({\Psi}\) is a \({*}\)-isomorphism or the negative of a \({*}\)-anti-isomorphism of \({B(H)}\), and \({\tau}\) is a homogeneous map from \({B(H)}\) into \({\mathbb{C}I}\) vanishing on every sum of commutators.  相似文献

Ends and tangles
We show that an arbitrary infinite graph can be compactified by its \({\aleph _0}\)-tangles in much the same way as the ends of a locally finite graph compactify it in its Freudenthal compactification. In general, the ends then appear as a subset of its \({\aleph _0}\)-tangles. The \({\aleph _0}\)-tangles of a graph are shown to form an inverse limit of the ultrafilters on the sets of components obtained by deleting a finite set of vertices. The \({\aleph _0}\)-tangles that are ends are precisely the limits of principal ultrafilters. The \({\aleph _0}\)-tangles that correspond to a highly connected part, or \({\aleph _0}\)-block, of the graph are shown to be precisely those that are closed in the topological space of its finite-order separations.  相似文献

Absolute continuity of the spectrum of a 3D periodic magnetic Dirac operator is proved provided that the magnetic potential A belongs to the space \({H^q_{\mathrm{loc}},q >1 }\) , and the matrix potential \({\widehat V\in L^3_{\mathrm {loc}}}\) is represented in the form \({\widehat V=\widehat V_0+\widehat V_1}\) , where \({\widehat V_0}\) commutes and \({\widehat V_1}\) anticommutes with the Dirac matrices \({\widehat \alpha _j, j = 1, 2, 3}\) .  相似文献

For each \({\alpha\in[0,2)}\) we consider the eigenvalue problem \({-{\rm div}(|x|^\alpha \nabla u)=\lambda u}\) in a bounded domain \({\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^N}\) (\({N\geq 2}\)) with smooth boundary and \({0\in \Omega}\) subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. Denote by \({\lambda_1(\alpha)}\) the first eigenvalue of this problem. Using \({\Gamma}\)-convergence arguments we prove the continuity of the function \({\lambda_1}\) with respect to \({\alpha}\) on the interval \({[0,2)}\).  相似文献

The variety \({\mathcal Z}\) of commutative additively and multiplicatively idempotent semirings is studied. We prove that \({\mathcal Z}\) is generated by a single subdirectly irreducible three-element semiring and it has a canonical form for its terms. Hence, \({\mathcal Z}\) is locally finite despite the fact that it is residually large. The word problem in \({\mathcal Z}\) is solvable.  相似文献

Let \({(G,\cdot)}\) be a group (not necessarily Abelian) with unit \({e}\) and \({E}\) be a Banach space. In this paper, we show that there exist \({\alpha(p) > 0}\) for any \({0 < p < 1}\) and \({\beta(p,\varepsilon),\gamma(p,\varepsilon) > 0}\) for any \({0 < \varepsilon < \alpha(p)}\), such that for any surjective map \({f: G\rightarrow E}\) satisfying \({\big|\|f(x) + f(y)\|-\|f(xy) \|\big|\leq\varepsilon \|f(x)+f(y)\|^p}\) for all \({x,y\in G}\), there is a unique additive \({T:G\rightarrow E}\) such that \({\|f(x)-T(x)\|\leq\gamma(p,\varepsilon)\|f(x)\|^p}\) for all \({x\in G}\) satisfying \({\|f(x)\|\geq\beta(p,\varepsilon)}\). Moreover, we have \({\lim_{\varepsilon\rightharpoonup 0}\frac{\gamma(p,\varepsilon)}{\varepsilon} < \infty.}\)  相似文献

We consider a broad class of linear Perron–Frobenius operators \({\Lambda:X \rightarrow X}\), where \({X}\) is a real Banach space of \({C^m}\) functions. We prove the existence of a strictly positive \({C^m}\) eigenvector \({v}\) with eigenvalue \({r=r(\Lambda) =}\) the spectral radius of \({\Lambda}\). We prove (see Theorem 6.5 in Sect. 6 of this paper) that \({r(\Lambda)}\) is an algebraically simple eigenvalue and that, if \({\sigma(\Lambda)}\) denotes the spectrum of the complexification of \({\Lambda,\sigma(\Lambda) \backslash \{r(\Lambda)\}\subseteq \{\zeta \in \mathbb{C} \big| |\zeta| \le r_*\}}\), where \({r_* < r(\Lambda)}\). Furthermore, if \({u \in X}\) is any strictly positive function, \({(\frac 1r \Lambda)^k(u) \rightarrow s_u v}\) as \({k \rightarrow \infty}\), where \({s_u > 0}\) and convergence is in the norm topology on \({X}\). In applications to the computation of Hausdorff dimension, one is given a parametrized family \({\Lambda_s,s > s_*}\), of such operators and one wants to determine the (unique) value \({s_0}\) such that \({r(\Lambda_{s_0})=1}\). In another paper (Falk and Nussbaum in C\({^{\rm m}}\) Eigenfunctions of Perron–Frobenius operators and a new approach to numerical computation of Hausdorff dimension, submitted) we prove that explicit estimates on the partial derivatives of the positive eigenvector \({v_s}\) of \({\Lambda_s}\) can be obtained and that this information can be used to give rigorous, sharp upper and lower bounds for \({s_0}\).  相似文献

Foreword
A hierarchy of topological Ramsey spaces \({\mathcal{R}_\alpha}\) (\({\alpha < \omega_1}\)), generalizing the Ellentuck space, were built by Dobrinen and Todorcevic in order to completely classify certain equivalent classes of ultrafilters Tukey (resp. Rudin–Keisler) below \({\mathcal{U}_\alpha}\) \({(\alpha < \omega_1)}\), where \({\mathcal{U}_\alpha}\) are ultrafilters constructed by Laflamme satisfying certain partition properties and have complete combinatorics over the Solovay model. We show that Nash–Williams, or Ramsey ultrafilters in these spaces are preserved under countable-support side-by-side Sacks forcing. This is achieved by proving a parametrized theorem for these spaces, and showing that Nash–Williams ultrafilters localizes the theorem. We also show that every Nash–Williams ultrafilter in \({\mathcal{R}_\alpha}\) is selective.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the additive (\({\alpha, \beta}\))-functional equation \({f(x+y) + \bar{\alpha}f({\alpha}z) = \beta^{-1}f(\beta(x+y+z))}\) for all complex numbers \({\alpha}\) with \({|\alpha| = 1}\) and for a fixed nonzero complex number \({\beta}\). Using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the Hyers–Ulam stability of this additive (\({\alpha, \beta}\))-functional equation in complex Banach spaces.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to classify, for given integers \({m,\, n\geq 1}\), the bordism class of a closed smooth \({m}\)-manifold \({X^m}\) with a free smooth involution \({\tau}\) with respect to the validity of the Borsuk–Ulam property that for every continuous map \({\phi : X^m \to \mathbb{R}^n}\) there exists a point \({x\in X^m}\) such that \({\phi (x)=\phi (\tau (x))}\). We will classify a given free \({\mathbb{Z}_2}\)-bordism class \({\alpha}\) according to the three possible cases that (a) all representatives \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfy the Borsuk–Ulam property; (b) there are representatives \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) and \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) of \({\alpha}\) such that \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property but \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) does not; (c) no representative \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property.  相似文献

Let \({\varphi: \mathbb{P}^N_K\to\mathbb{P}^N_K}\) be a morphism of degree d ≥ 2 defined over a field K that is algebraically closed field and complete with respect to a nonarchimedean absolute value. We prove that a modified Green function \({\hat{g}_\varphi}\) associated to \({\varphi}\) is Hölder continuous on \({\mathbb{P}^N(K)}\) and that the Fatou set \({\mathcal{F}(\varphi)}\) of \({\varphi}\) is equal to the set of points at which \({\hat{g}_\Phi}\) is locally constant. Further, \({\hat{g}_\varphi}\) vanishes precisely on the set of points P such that \({\varphi}\) has good reduction at every point in the forward orbit \({\mathcal{O}_\varphi(P)}\) of P. We also prove that the iterates of \({\varphi}\) are locally uniformly Lipschitz on \({\mathcal{F}(\varphi)}\) .  相似文献

In this paper, we study the reducing subspaces for the multiplication operator by a finite Blaschke product \({\phi}\) on the Dirichlet space D. We prove that any two distinct nontrivial minimal reducing subspaces of \({M_\phi}\) are orthogonal. When the order n of \({\phi}\) is 2 or 3, we show that \({M_\phi}\) is reducible on D if and only if \({\phi}\) is equivalent to \({z^n}\). When the order of \({\phi}\) is 4, we determine the reducing subspaces for \({M_\phi}\), and we see that in this case \({M_\phi}\) can be reducible on D when \({\phi}\) is not equivalent to \({z^4}\). The same phenomenon happens when the order n of \({\phi}\) is not a prime number. Furthermore, we show that \({M_\phi}\) is unitarily equivalent to \({M_{z^n} (n > 1)}\) on D if and only if \({\phi = az^n}\) for some unimodular constant a.  相似文献

We prove a Beurling-Blecher-Labuschagne theorem for \({H^\infty}\)-invariant spaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M},\tau)}\) when \({0 < p \leq\infty}\), using Arveson’s non-commutative Hardy space \({H^\infty}\) in relation to a von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) with a semifinite, faithful, normal tracial weight \({\tau}\). Using the main result, we are able to completely characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z},\tau)}\), where \({\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z} }\) is a crossed product of a semifinite von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) by the integer group \({\mathbb{Z}}\), and \({H^\infty}\) is a non-selfadjoint crossed product of \({\mathcal{M}}\) by \({\mathbb{Z}^+}\). As an example, we characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of the Schatten p-class \({S^p(\mathcal{H})}\), where \({H^\infty}\) is the lower triangular subalgebra of \({B(\mathcal{H})}\), for each \({0 < p \leq\infty}\).  相似文献

We consider colorings of the pairs of a family \(\mathcal {F}\subseteq {{\mathrm{FIN}}}\) of topological type \(\omega ^{\omega ^k}\), for \(k>1\); and we find a homogeneous family \(\mathcal {G}\subseteq \mathcal {F}\) for each coloring. As a consequence, we complete our study of the partition relation \({\forall l>1,\, \alpha \rightarrow ({{\mathrm{top}}}\;\omega ^2+1)^2_{l,m}}\) identifying \(\omega ^{\omega ^\omega }\) as the smallest ordinal space \(\alpha <\omega _1\) satisfying \({\forall l>1,\, \alpha \rightarrow ({{\mathrm{top}}}\;\omega ^2+1)^2_{l,4}}\).  相似文献

In spite of the Lebesgue density theorem, there is a positive \({\delta}\) such that, for every measurable set \({A \subset \mathbb{R}}\) with \({\lambda (A) > 0}\) and \({\lambda (\mathbb{R} \setminus A) > 0}\), there is a point at which both the lower densities of \({A}\) and of the complement of \({A}\) are at least \({\delta}\). The problem of determining the supremum of possible values of this \({\delta}\) was studied by V. I. Kolyada, A. Szenes and others. It seems that the authors considered this quantity a feature of density. We show that it is connected rather with a choice of a differentiation basis.  相似文献

A topological space X is countably paracompact if and only if X satisfies the condition (A): For any decreasing sequence {Fi} of non-empty closed sets with \({\bigcap_{i=1}^{\infty} F_{i} = \emptyset}\) there exists a sequence {Gi} of open sets such that \({\bigcap_{i=1}^{\infty}\overline{G_{i}}=\emptyset}\) and \({F_{i} \subset G_{i}}\) for every i. We will show, by an example, that this is not true in generalized topological spaces. In fact there is a \({\mu}\)-normal generalized topological space satisfying the analogue of A which is not even countably \({\mu}\)-metacompact. Then we study the relationships between countably \({\mu}\)-paracompactness, countably \({\mu}\)-metacompactness and the condition corresponding to condition A in generalized topological spaces.  相似文献

Let \(\vec G\) be a strongly connected digraph and Q( \(\vec G\)) be the signless Laplacian matrix of \(\vec G\). The spectral radius of Q(\(\vec G\)) is called the signless Lapliacian spectral radius of \(\vec G\). Let \({\tilde \infty _1}\)-digraph and \({\tilde \infty _2}\)-digraph be two kinds of generalized strongly connected 1-digraphs and let \({\tilde \theta _1}\)-digraph and \({\tilde \theta _2}\)-digraph be two kinds of generalized strongly connected µ-digraphs. In this paper, we determine the unique digraph which attains the maximum(or minimum) signless Laplacian spectral radius among all \({\tilde \infty _1}\)-digraphs and \({\tilde \theta _1}\)-digraphs. Furthermore, we characterize the extremal digraph which achieves the maximum signless Laplacian spectral radius among \({\tilde \infty _2}\)-digraphs and \({\tilde \theta _2}\)-digraphs, respectively.  相似文献

Let X be a non-void set and A be a subalgebra of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . We call a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional \({\varphi}\) on A a 1-evaluation if \({\varphi(f) \in f(X) }\) for all \({f\in A}\) . From the classical Gleason–Kahane–?elazko theorem, it follows that if X in addition is a compact Hausdorff space then a mapping \({\varphi}\) of \({C_{\mathbb{C}}(X) }\) into \({\mathbb{C}}\) is a 1-evaluation if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism. In this paper, we aim to investigate the extent to which this equivalence between 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms can be generalized to a wider class of self-conjugate subalgebras of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . In this regards, we prove that a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional on a self-conjugate subalgebra A of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) is a positive \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\overline{1}}\) -evaluation, that is, \({\varphi(f) \in\overline{f\left(X\right)}}\) for all \({f\in A}\) . As consequences of our general study, we prove that 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms on \({C_{\mathbb{C}}\left( X\right)}\) coincide for any topological space X and we get a new characterization of realcompact topological spaces.  相似文献

Let \({\Omega}\) a bounded domain in \({\mathbb{R} ^N }\), and let \({u\in C^1 (\overline{\Omega})}\) a weak solution of the following overdetermined BVP: \({-\nabla (g(|\nabla u|)|\nabla u|^{-1}\nabla u)=f(|x|,u)}\), \({ u > 0 }\) in \({\Omega }\) and \({u=0, \ |\nabla u(x)|=\lambda (|x|)}\) on \({\partial \Omega }\), where \({g\in C([0,+\infty)\cap C^1 ((0,+\infty ) ) }\) with \({g(0)=0}\), \({g'(t) > 0}\) for \({t > 0}\), \({f\in C([0,+\infty ) \times [0, +\infty ) )}\), f is nonincreasing in \({|x|}\), \({\lambda \in C([0, +\infty )) }\) and \({\lambda }\) is positive and nondecreasing. We show that \({\Omega }\) is a ball and u satisfies some “local” kind of symmetry. The proof is based on the method of continuous Steiner symmetrization.  相似文献

Let \(\varphi \) be an arbitrary linear-fractional self-map of the unit disk \({\mathbb {D}}\) and consider the composition operator \(C_{-1, \varphi }\) and the Toeplitz operator \(T_{-1,z}\) on the Hardy space \(H^2\) and the corresponding operators \(C_{\alpha , \varphi }\) and \(T_{\alpha , z}\) on the weighted Bergman spaces \(A^2_{\alpha }\) for \(\alpha >-1\). We prove that the unital C\(^*\)-algebra \(C^*(T_{\alpha , z}, C_{\alpha , \varphi })\) generated by \(T_{\alpha , z}\) and \(C_{\alpha , \varphi }\) is unitarily equivalent to \(C^*(T_{-1, z}, C_{-1, \varphi }),\) which extends a known result for automorphism-induced composition operators. For maps \(\varphi \) that are not automorphisms of \({\mathbb {D}}\), we show that \(C^*(C_{\alpha , \varphi }, {\mathcal {K}}_{\alpha })\) is unitarily equivalent to \(C^*(C_{-1, \varphi }, {\mathcal {K}}_{-1})\), where \({\mathcal {K}}_{\alpha }\) and \({\mathcal {K}}_{-1}\) denote the ideals of compact operators on \(A^2_{\alpha }\) and \(H^2\), respectively, and apply existing structure theorems for \(C^*(C_{-1, \varphi }, {\mathcal {K}}_{-1})/{\mathcal {K}}_{-1}\) to describe the structure of \(C^*(C_{\alpha , \varphi }, {\mathcal {K}}_{\alpha })/\mathcal {K_{\alpha }}\), up to isomorphism. We also establish a unitary equivalence between related weighted composition operators induced by maps \(\varphi \) that fix a point on the unit circle.  相似文献
