Calix[4]arene-based cation receptor 1 has been synthesised by following a multi-step synthetic procedure. The fluorescence properties of 1 upon the addition of various metal ions were investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. As a result, it was revealed that 1 displayed dramatic quenching effect upon the exposure to Cs+. In contrast, no significant quenching effects were observed upon the addition of other metal ions such as Li+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ag+, Zn2+ and Ni2+. Compound 1 was also found by Job plot to form a 1:1 complex with Cs+. In addition, we also prepared 1-embedded electrospun nanofibrous film (NF-1) as an adsorbent for Cs+. NF-1 is proved to adsorb Cs+ effectively from an aqueous solution, indicating that it would be usefully utilised as an adsorbent to remove Cs+.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method has been developed for determination of some transition metal ions. It is based on the reaction of the metal ions with excess peri-dihydroxynaphthindenone in 80% v/v ethyl alcohol-water mixture at 30°C. The colored products obtained display maximum absorption band at 560–590 nm depending upon the type of transition metal ion used, and E1 cm 1% in the range 70–480. Under the optimum conditions results with an average recovery of 96%, (mean standard deviation ±3% are obtained for 6 different transition metal ions without any significant interference from Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Rb+, Ba2+, Sr2+, Ni2+, Bi3+, Co2+, Mn+2, Cd+2 and Al+3. Kinetic data reveal that the reaction proceeds via a second order route (first order with respect to either the metal cation or ligand). The activation parameters and a suggested mechanism have been presented, and the nature of bonding in the solid chelate products has been verified.  相似文献

Data on the sorption properties of synthetic calcium aluminosilicates (CASes) with Al: Si ratios of 2: 2, 2: 6, and 2: 10, fabricated within the multicomponent system CaCl2–AlCl3–KОН–SiO2–H2O, are presented. Isotherms of the sorption of Cs+ ions from aqueous solutions with Cs+ concentrations of 0.2 to 6.0 mmol L–1 are analyzed. The CAS maximum sorption capacity and the Langmuir constants are determined. Kinetic data are obtained, and the energy of cation-exchange activation upon the sorption of Cs+ ions is determined. The effect of a salt background (1% KCl + 6% NaCl) has on the values of distribution coefficient (Kd) and the degree of Cs+ ion removal is established.  相似文献

A new ditopic ion‐pair receptor 1 was designed, synthesized, and characterized. Detailed binding studies served to confirm that this receptor binds fluoride and chloride ions (studied as their tetraalkylammonium salts) and forms stable 1:1 complexes in CDCl3. Treatment of the halide‐ion complexes of 1 with Group I and II metal ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Mg2+, and Ca2+; studied as their perchlorate salts in CD3CN) revealed unique interactions that were found to depend on both the choice of the added cation and the precomplexed anion. In the case of the fluoride complex [ 1? F]? (preformed as the tetrabutylammonium (TBA+) complex), little evidence of interaction with the K+ ion was seen. In contrast, when this same complex (i.e., [ 1? F]? as the TBA+ salt) was treated with the Li+ or Na+ ions, complete decomplexation of the receptor‐bound fluoride ion was observed. In sharp contrast to what was seen with Li+, Na+, and K+, treating complex [ 1? F]? with the Cs+ ion gave rise to a stable, receptor‐bound ion‐pair complex [Cs ?1? F] that contains the Cs+ ion complexed within the cup‐like cavity of the calix[4]pyrrole, which in turn was stabilized in its cone conformation. Different complexation behavior was observed in the case of the chloride complex [ 1? Cl]?. In this case, no appreciable interaction was observed with Na+ or K+. In addition, treating [ 1? Cl]? with Li+ produces a tightly hydrated dimeric ion‐pair complex [ 1? LiCl(H2O)]2 in which two Li+ ions are bound to the crown moiety of the two receptors. In analogy to what was seen in the case of [ 1? F]?, exposure of [ 1? Cl]? to the Cs+ ion gives rise to an ion‐pair complex [Cs ?1? Cl] in which the cation is bound within the cup of the calix[4]pyrrole. Different complexation modes were also observed when the binding of the fluoride ion was studied by using the tetramethylammonium and tetraethylammonium salts.  相似文献

The binding of cations Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Ag+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, NH4 + (group I), H+, Mg2+, Al3+, Ga3+ (group II), and Ca2+, Pb2+ (group III) by 21,31-diphenyl-l 2,42-dioxo- 7,10,13-trioxa-l,4(3,1)-diquinoxalina-2(2,3),3(3,2)-diindolizinacyclopentadecaphane (1), which contains two indolizine and two quinoxaline fragments and 3,6,9-trioxaundecanes spacer, and by its acyclic analog (2) was studied using cyclic voltammetry in MeCN/0.1 M Bu4NBF4. It was concluded that the ions of group I are not bound by these compounds, the ions of group II exhibit the reversible redox-switched binding by the carbamoyl groups of the quinoxaline fragments, whereas the ions of group III are bound not only by the initial compounds and radical cations 1 and 2, but also by dication 1. This binding of the Ca2+ and Pb2+ ions stabilizes dication 1.  相似文献

A new macrocycle containing two bipyrazolic units, with a side-arm bearing an attached donor-group is reported. The complexing properties of this compound towards heavy metal ions (Hg2+, Cd2+, Pb2+) and alkaline metal ions (Ca2+, Cs+, K+, Na+, Li+) was studied by a liquid-liquid extraction process and the extracted cation percentage was determined by atomic absorption measurements and UV spectroscopy.  相似文献

The dibenzo[3n]crown-n were synthesised starting from bis[2-(o-hydroxyphenoxy)ethyl]ether obtained from bis[2-(o-formylphenoxy)ethyl]ether via Baeyer-Villiger oxidation in H2O2/CH3COOH in a good yield. The cyclic condensation ofbis[2-(o-hydroxyphenoxy)ethyl]etherwith tri- and tetraethylene glycol bisdichlorides andthe bisditosylate of pentaethylene glycol in DMF/Me2CO3 afforded the large cyclic ethers of dibenzo[21]crown-7, dibenzo[24]crown-8 and dibenzo[27]crown-9. The structures were analysed with IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and low-resolution mass spectroscopy methods. The Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ cations' recognition of the molecules were conducted withsteady-state fluorescence spectroscopy. The 1:1 association constants, Ka, in acetonitrile were estimated. Dibenzo[21]crown-7 was the best both for K+ and Rb+ binding but showed too small an effect on Cs+. Dibenzo[24]crown-8 exhibited the binding power in the order of Rb+ > K+ > Na+ > Cs+. However, dibenzo[27]crown-9 displayed marked binding with only K+ but not with Rb+ or with Cs+ cations probably due to the heavy atom effect of fluorescence quenching.  相似文献

合成了具有锥形构象的含氟功能基团的杯芳烃衍生物1~3,并用单晶X射线衍射和核磁共振证实了其锥形构象。在混合溶剂中,研究了杯芳烃衍生物1~3对多种金属离子的识别行为。测试了化合物1~3的紫外-可见吸收光谱和荧光发射光谱,结果显示铜离子对化合物1~3具有明显的荧光猝灭特性,而其它金属离子(如Na',K',Cs',Mg2',Ca2',Ba2',Fe3',Cd2',Mn2',Co2',Ni2',Zn2')对化合物1~3的紫外-可见吸收光谱和荧光发射强度无显著的影响,表明化合物1~3对铜离子的识别具有高选择性。  相似文献

The influence of metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Ag+, Cd2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Fe3+) on the spectroscopic properties of two dansyl (1-dimethylaminonaphthalene-5-sulfonyl) groups linked to the lower rims of a series of three, structurally related, di-ionized calix[4]arenes was investigated by means of absorption and emission spectrophotometry. Di(tetramethylammonium) salts of the di-ionized ligands, (TMA)2L1, (TMA)2L2 and (TMA)2L3, which differ in having zero, two and four tert-butyl groups, respectively, on the upper rim of the calix[4]arene scaffold were utilized for the spectrofluorimetric titration experiments in acetonitrile. On complexation by alkaline earth metal cations, both the absorption and emission spectra undergo marked red shifts and quenching of the dansyl fluorescence. These effects are weaker with alkali metal cations. Transition metal cations interact strongly with the ligands. In particular, Fe3+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ cause greater than 97% quenching of the dansyl fluorescence in the di-ionized ligands.  相似文献

Na-montmorillonites were exchanged with Li+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+, while Ca-montmorillonites were treated with alkaline and alkaline earth ions except for Ra2+ and Ca2+. Montmorillonites with interlayer cations Li+ or Na+ have remarkable swelling capacity and keep excellent stability. It is shown that metal ions represent different exchange ability as follows: Cs+?>?Rb+?>?K+?>?Na+?>?Li+ and Ba2+?>?Sr2+?>?Ca2+?>?Mg2+. The cation exchange capacity with single ion exchange capacity illustrates that Mg2+ and Ca2+ do not only take part in cation exchange but also produce physical adsorption on the montmorillonite. Although interlayer spacing d 001 depends on both radius and hydration radius of interlayer cations, the latter one plays a decisive role in changing d 001 value. Three stages of temperature intervals of dehydration are observed from the TG/DSC curves: the release of surface water adsorbed (36?C84?°C), the dehydration of interlayer water and the chemical-adsorption water (47?C189?°C) and dehydration of bound water of interlayer metal cation (108?C268?°C). Data show that the quantity and hydration energy of ions adsorbed on montmorillonite influence the water content in montmorillonite. Mg2+-modified Na-montmorillonite which absorbs the most quantity of ions with the highest hydration energy has the maximum water content up to 8.84%.  相似文献

Several studies demonstrated the ability of britholites to retain radionuclides such as the caesium and actinides. Therefore, three compounds with formulas Sr8LaCs(PO4)6F2, Sr7La2Cs(PO4)5(SiO4)F2 and Sr2La7Cs(SiO4)6F2, were prepared by solid state reaction. However, it seems that only the mono-silicated composition was obtained in a pure state. In this present work, the X-ray diffraction and magnetic nuclear resonance have been used to investigate the structure for this composition. The results showed that in fact this phase was not pure, but it was mixed with a secondary phase, SrLaCs(PO4)2. The refinement by the Rietveld method allowed also to precise the distribution of La3+ and Cs+ ions between the two cationic sites of the apatite.  相似文献

A comparative study of the competitive cation exchange between the alkali metal ions K+, Rb+, and Cs+ and the Na+ ions bound to the dimeric quadruplex [d(G4T4G4)]2 was performed in aqueous solution by a combined use of the 23Na and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The titration data confirm the different binding affinities of these ions for the G‐quadruplex and, in particular, major differences in the behavior of Cs+ as compared to the other ions were found. Accordingly, Cs+ competes with Na+ only for the binding sites at the quadruplex surface (primarily phosphate groups), while K+ and Rb+ are also able to replace sodium ions located inside the quadruplex. Furthermore, the 1H NMR results relative to the CsCl titration evidence a close approach of Cs+ ions to the phosphate groups in the narrow groove of [d(G4T4G4)]2. Based on a three‐site exchange model, the 23Na NMR relaxation data lead to an estimate of the relative binding affinity of Cs+ versus Na+ for the quadruplex surface of 0.5 at 298 K. Comparing this value to those reported in the literature for the surface of the G‐quadruplex formed by 5′‐guanosinemonophosphate and for the surface of double‐helical DNA suggests that topology factors may have an important influence on the cation affinity for the phosphate groups on DNA. The effective removal of 137Cs+ ions from contaminated groundwater and seawater and from radioactive nuclear waste solutions is crucial for public health and for the continuous operation of nuclear power plants. Various 137Cs+ removers have been developed, but more effective 137Cs+ removers are still needed. A novel microporous vanadosilicate with mixed‐valence vanadium (V4+ and V5+) ions is now reported, which shows an excellent ability for Cs+ capture and immobilization from groundwater, seawater, and nuclear waste solutions. This material is superior to other known materials in terms of selectivity, capacity, and kinetics, and at very low Cs+ concentrations, it was found to be the most effective material for the removal of radioactive Cs+ ions under the test conditions. This novel vanadosilicate also contains hexadeca‐coordinated Cs+ ions, which corresponds to the highest coordination number ever described.  相似文献

The characteristics properties of xanthone phosphorescence and of 2-pentanone photolysis in alkali metal cation-exchanged zeolites have been investigated to clarify the effect of the micro-environment of host-adsorbents on the photophysical and photochemical properties of guest-molecules in restricted void spaces. The enhancement of the phosphorescence yields of xanthone included in zeolites is observed by changing the exchangeablealkali metal cation from Li+ to Cs+. Simultaneously, the phosphorescence lifetimes were observed to continuously shorten by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. These results suggest that the external heavy-atom effect deriving from the alkali metal cations on the singlet-triplet transitions of xanthone molecules stabilized on alkali metal cations in the order of Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+. The yields for the photolysis of 2-pentanone included in zeolites increase with changing the alkali metal cation from Li+ to Cs+. IR investigations of the adsorption state of 2-pentanone indicate that strength of the interaction between the alkali metal cations and 2-pentanones decreases by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+, which results in a longer lifetime of 2-pentanone. The selectivity of propylene formation is dramatically increased by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. The enhanced formation of propylene is asociated with the hydrogen absorption from propyl radicals by lattice oxygen, their basicity increasing by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. Thus, these changes in the zeolite cavities modified by exchanging cations caused significant effects not only on the excited state but also on the following chemical reactions of ketones.  相似文献

The binding interaction of captopril (CPL) with biologically active metal ions Mg2+, Ca2+, Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ was investigated in an aqueous acidic medium by fluorescence spectroscopy. The experimental results showed that the metal ions quenched the intrinsic fluorescence of CPL by forming CPL‐metal complexes. It was found that static quenching was the main reason for the fluorescence quenching. The quenching constant in the case of Cu2+ was highest among all quenchers, perhaps due to its high nuclear charge and small size. Quenching of CPL by metal ions follows the order Cu2+>Ni2+>Co2+>Ca2+>Zn2+>Mn2+>Mg2+. The quenching constant Ksv, bimolecular quenching constant Kq, binding constant K and the binding sites "n" were determined together with their thermodynamic parameters at 27 and 37°C. The positive entropy change indicated the gain in configurational entropy as a result of chelation. The process of interaction was spontaneous and mainly ΔS‐driven.  相似文献

The complex forming properties with alkali metal and ammonium ions of a series of oligo benzo-condensed 18-crown-6 ethers1–8 having a different gradation of lipophilicity and of molecular rigidity are investigated by voltammetry at the interface of two immiscible electrolyte solutions (ITIES) and by a liquid-liquid extraction technique. The experimental results obtained in the two phase system H2O/nitrobenzene are discussed in relation to the structure of the crown and the cation type. The stability constants for the 1 : 1 complexes of Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+ and NH 4 + in nitrobenzene have been determined and compared with the extraction constants for the 1: 1 complexes of Na+ and K+ and for the 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 complexes of Cs+, showing the effect of oligo benzo condensation for the 18-crown-6 system.  相似文献

First X-ray Crystallographic Characterized Cs+ ‘‘in cavity”︁”︁ Complex of a Twenty-one Membered Coronand: (Maleonitrile-Dithio[21]crown-7)caesium Hexachloroantimonate A new maleonitrile-crown dithioether, the maleonitrile-dithio[21]crown-7 (mn–21 S2O5), was synthesized by high dilution cyclization of (Z)-1,2-disodium-1,2-dicyanoethene-1,2-dithiolate ( 1 ) with 1,17-dichloro-3,6,9,12,15-pentaoxaheptadecane ( 2 ) in ethanol/water mixtures. Mn–21 S2O5 forms with CsSbCl6 in MeCN/MeNO2 a 1 : 1 complex [Cs(mn–21 S2O5)]SbCl6. X-ray crystal analysis revealed that the complex cation [Cs(mn–21 S2O5)]+ is an ‘‘in cavity”︁”︁ complex in which the Cs+ ion is coordinated by seven donor atoms (five O and two S atoms). This is the first X-ray crystallographic evidence of Cs+ coordination by seven donors in a hole of a twenty-one membered coronand.  相似文献

An approach for the sensitive and selective determination of Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions was developed based on the fluorescence quenching of mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) capped CdTe quantum dots in the existence of hydroxyapatite (HAP) nanoribbon spherulites. Among various metal ions investigated, it was found that the fluorescence of CdTe QDs was only sensitive to Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions. The addition of HAP into the CdTe system could bring forward a sensitivity improvement of about 1 to 2 orders of magnitude in the detection of Ag+ and Cu2+ compared with the plain CdTe system without the existence of HAP; while there was no sensitization effect for Hg2+. Under optimal conditions, the detection limits for Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ were 20, 56 and 3.0 nmol·L?1, respectively, and the linear ranges were 0.02–50, 0.056–54 and 0.003–2.4 µmol·L?1, respectively. Mechanisms of both QDs fluorescence quenching by metal ions and the sensitization effect by HAP were also discussed.  相似文献

The sorption of univalent, bivalent and trivalent ions has been studied on chromium ferrocyanide gel. The studies reveal a high sorption capacity for Cs+, Tl+, Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Fe3+ and Th4+. The sorption of monovalent cations show purely ion-exchange mechanism while the uptake of bivalent and trivalent cations is non-equivalent in nature. Single elution of Rb+, Cs+ and Tl+ has been performed from the columns of this exchanger and the recovery is almost complete in all the cases. Cu2+ and Ag+ get completely adsorbed on the gel column and their elution is not possible probably due to the formation of some new solid phases. Depending on the Kd values of the metal ions, a large number of separations of radiochemical as well as analytical importance can be performed on the columns of this exchanger material.  相似文献

Thallium hexacyanoferrate films have been prepared from various aqueous electrolyte solutions using consecutive cyclic voltammetry. The cyclic voltammograms recorded the direct deposition of thallium hexacyanoferrate films from the mixing of Tl3+ and [Fe(CN)6]3? ions from solutions of seven cations: Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, H+, and Tl+. An electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) and cyclic voltammetry were used to study the in situ growth of the thallium hexacyanoferrate films. The thallium hexacyanoferrate film shows a single redox couple with a formal potential between +0.6 V and +1.2 V, and shows a cation effect (H+, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, and Tl+). A mixed film and a two‐layered modified electrodes composed of a thallium hexacyanoferrate film with cobalt(II) hexacyanoferrate film were prepared.  相似文献
