An example of two distinguished Fréchet spaces E, F is given (even more, E is quasinormable and F is normable) such that their completed injective tensor product E?F is not distinguished. On the other hand, it is proved that for arbitrary reflexive Fréchet space E and arbitrary compact set K the space of E - valued continuous functions C(K, E) is distinguished and its strong dual is naturally isomorphic to ? where L1(μ) = C(K)1. 相似文献

A linear and bounded operator T between Banach spaces X and Y has Fourier type 2 with respect to a locally compact abelian group G if there exists a constant c > 0 such that∥T ∥2 ≤ c∥f∥2 holds for all X‐valued functions f ∈ LX2(G) where is the Fourier transform of f. We show that any Fourier type 2 operator with respect to the classical groups has Fourier type 2 with respect to any locally compact abelian group. In this paper, we introduce the Schatten class and the Berezin transform of quaternionic operators. The first topic is of great importance in operator theory, but it is also necessary to study the second one, which requires the notion of trace class operators, a particular case of the Schatten class. Regarding the Berezin transform, we give the general definition and properties. Then we concentrate on the setting of weighted Bergman spaces of slice hyperholomorphic functions. Our results are based on the S‐spectrum of quaternionic operators, which is the notion of spectrum that appears in the quaternionic version of the spectral theorem and in the quaternionic S‐functional calculus. Motivated by applications to problems from physics, we study elliptic operators with operator-valued coefficients acting
on Banach-space-valued distributions. After giving a definition of ellipticity, normal ellipticity in particular, generalizing
the classical concepts, we show that normally elliptic operators are negative generators of analytic semigroups on for 1 and on and , as well as on all Besov spaces of E-valued distributions on , where E is any Banach space. This is true under minimal regularity assumptions for the coefficients, thanks to a point-wise multiplier
theorem for E-valued distributions proven in the appendix.

Continuous and compact Toeplitz operators for positive symbols are characterized on the space of analytic functions with logarithmic growth on the open unit disc of the complex plane. The characterizations are in terms of the behaviour of the Berezin transform of the symbol. The space was introduced and studied by Taskinen. The Bergman projection is continuous on this space in a natural way, which permits to define Toeplitz operators. Sufficient conditions for general symbols are also presented. 相似文献

We consider continuous-time hysteresis operators, defined to be causal and rate independent operators mapping input signals to output signals . We show how a hysteresis operator defined on the set of continuous piecewise monotone functions can be naturally extended to piecewise continuous piecewise monotone functions. We prove that the extension is also a hysteresis operator and that a number of important properties of the original operator are inherited by the extension. Moreover, we define the concept of a discrete-time hysteresis operator and we show that discretizing continuous-time hysteresis operators using standard sampling and hold operations leads to discrete-time hysteresis operators. We apply the concepts and results described above in the context of sampled-data feedback control of linear systems with input hysteresis. 相似文献

It is well known that if is infinite compact Hausdorff and scattered (i.e., with no perfect subsets), then the Banach space of continuous functions on has complemented copies of , i.e., . We address the question if this could be the only type of decompositions of into infinite-dimensional summands for infinite, scattered. Making a special set-theoretic assumption such as the continuum hypothesis or Martin's axiom we construct an example of Mrówka's space (i.e., obtained from an almost disjoint family of sets of positive integers) which answers positively the above question.

Let T∈Bn(H) be an essentially normal spherical isometry with empty point spectrum on a separable complex Hilbert space H, and let AT⊂B(H) be the unital dual operator algebra generated by T. In this note we show that every operator S∈B(H) in the essential commutant of AT has the form S=X+K with a T-Toeplitz operator X and a compact operator K. Our proof actually covers a larger class of subnormal operator tuples, called A-isometries, which includes for example the tuple T=(Mz1,…,Mzn)∈B(H2n(σ)) consisting of the multiplication operators with the coordinate functions on the Hardy space H2(σ) associated with the normalized surface measure σ on the boundary ∂D of a strictly pseudoconvex domain D⊂Cn. As an application we determine the essential commutant of the set of all analytic Toeplitz operators on H2(σ) and thus extend results proved by Davidson (1977) [6] for the unit disc and Ding and Sun (1997) [11] for the unit ball. 相似文献

In the present paper we introduce a generalization of positive linear operators and obtain its Korovkin type approximation properties. The rates of convergence of this generalization is also obtained by means of modulus of continuity and Lipschitz type maximal functions. The second purpose of this paper is to obtain weighted approximation properties for the generalization of positive linear operators defined in this paper. Also we obtain a differential equation so that the second moment of our operators is a particular solution of it. Lastly, some Voronovskaja type asymptotic formulas are obtained for Meyer-König and Zeller type and Bleimann, Butzer and Hahn type operators. 相似文献

A characterization of the closed principal ideals in nonradial Hörmander algebras of holomorphic functions of several variables in terms of the behaviour of the generator is obtained. This result is applied to study the range of convolution operators and ultradifferential operators on spaces of quasianalytic functions of Beurling type. Contrary to what is known to happen in the case of non-quasianalytic functions, an ultradistribution on a space of quasianalytic functions is constructed such that the range of the operator does not contain the real analytic functions.
