In the present paper, we consider elliptic equations with nonlinear and nonhomogeneous Robin boundary conditions of the type{-div(B(x, u)▽u) = f in ?,u = 0 on Γ_0,B(x, u)▽u·n→+γ(x)h(u) =g on Γ_1,where f and g are the element of L~1(?) and L~1(Γ_1), respectively. We define a notion of renormalized solution and we prove the existence of a solution. Under additional assumptions on the matrix field B we show that the renormalized solution is unique.  相似文献

In this paper, we study transport equations with nonlocal velocity fields with rough initial data. We address the global existence of weak solutions of a one dimensional model of the surface quasi-geostrophic equation and the incompressible porous media equation, and one dimensional and n dimensional models of the dissipative quasi-geostrophic equations and the dissipative incompressible porous media equation.  相似文献

We study a multi-dimensional nonlocal active scalar equation of the form ut+v⋅∇u=0ut+vu=0 in R+×RdR+×Rd, where v=Λ−2+α∇uv=Λ2+αu with Λ=(−Δ)1/2Λ=(Δ)1/2. We show that when α∈(0,2]α(0,2] certain radial solutions develop gradient blowup in finite time. In the case when α=0α=0, the equations are globally well-posed with arbitrary initial data in suitable Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

In this article, we are concerned with the global weak solutions to the 1D compressible viscous hydrodynamic equations with dispersion correction δ~2ρ((φ(ρ))xxφ′(ρ))x withφ(ρ) = ρα. The model consists of viscous stabilizations because of quantum Fokker-Planck operator in the Wigner equation and is supplemented with periodic boundary and initial conditions. The diffusion term εu xx in the momentum equation may be interpreted as a classical conservative friction term because of particle interactions. We extend the existence result in[1](α =1/2) to 0 α≤1. In addition, we perform the limit ε→ 0 with respect to 0 α≤1/2.  相似文献

Lump solutions are analytical rational function solutions localized in all directions in space. We analyze a class of lump solutions, generated from quadratic functions, to nonlinear partial differential equations. The basis of success is the Hirota bilinear formulation and the primary object is the class of positive multivariate quadratic functions. A complete determination of quadratic functions positive in space and time is given, and positive quadratic functions are characterized as sums of squares of linear functions. Necessary and sufficient conditions for positive quadratic functions to solve Hirota bilinear equations are presented, and such polynomial solutions yield lump solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations under the dependent variable transformations u=2(ln?f)x and u=2(ln?f)xx, where x is one spatial variable. Applications are made for a few generalized KP and BKP equations.  相似文献

We are concerned with the uniqueness result of positive solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic equation arising from plasma physics. We convert a quasilinear elliptic equation into a semilinear one and show the unique existence of positive radial solution for original equation under the suitable conditions on the power of nonlinearity and quasilinearity. We also investigate the non-degeneracy of a positive radial solution for a converted semilinear elliptic equation.  相似文献

Nonlocal generalizations of Burgers equation were derived in earlier work by Hunter [J.K. Hunter, Nonlinear surface waves, in: Current Progress in Hyberbolic Systems: Riemann Problems and Computations, Brunswick, ME, 1988, in: Contemp. Math., vol. 100, Amer. Math. Soc., 1989, pp. 185–202], and more recently by Benzoni-Gavage and Rosini [S. Benzoni-Gavage, M. Rosini, Weakly nonlinear surface waves and subsonic phase boundaries, Comput. Math. Appl. 57 (3–4) (2009) 1463–1484], as weakly nonlinear amplitude equations for hyperbolic boundary value problems admitting linear surface waves. The local-in-time well-posedness of such equations in Sobolev spaces was proved by Benzoni-Gavage [S. Benzoni-Gavage, Local well-posedness of nonlocal Burgers equations, Differential Integral Equations 22 (3–4) (2009) 303–320] under an appropriate stability condition originally pointed out by Hunter. In this article, it is shown that the latter condition is not only sufficient for well-posedness in Sobolev spaces but also necessary. The main point of the analysis is to show that when the stability condition is violated, nonlocal Burgers equations reduce to second order elliptic PDEs. The resulting ill-posedness result encompasses various cases previously studied in the literature.  相似文献

We study the inverse scattering problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation and for the nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation with the generalized Hartree type nonlinearity. We reconstruct the nonlinearity from knowledge of the scattering operator, which improves the known results.  相似文献

We examine the regularity of weak solutions of quasi-geostrophic (QG) type equations with supercritical (α<1/2α<1/2) dissipation α(−Δ)(Δ)α. This study is motivated by a recent work of Caffarelli and Vasseur, in which they study the global regularity issue for the critical (α=1/2α=1/2) QG equation [L. Caffarelli, A. Vasseur, Drift diffusion equations with fractional diffusion and the quasi-geostrophic equation, arXiv: math.AP/0608447, 2006]. Their approach successively increases the regularity levels of Leray–Hopf weak solutions: from L2L2 to LL, from LL to Hölder (CδCδ, δ>0δ>0), and from Hölder to classical solutions. In the supercritical case, Leray–Hopf weak solutions can still be shown to be LL, but it does not appear that their approach can be easily extended to establish the Hölder continuity of LL solutions. In order for their approach to work, we require the velocity to be in the Hölder space C1−2αC12α. Higher regularity starting from CδCδ with δ>1−2αδ>12α can be established through Besov space techniques and will be presented elsewhere [P. Constantin, J. Wu, Regularity of Hölder continuous solutions of the supercritical quasi-geostrophic equation, Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire, in press].  相似文献

We study the Cauchy problem for multi-dimensional compressible radiation hydrodynamics equations with vacuum. First, we present some sufficient conditions on the blow-up of smooth solutions in multi-dimensional space. Then, we obtain the invariance of the support of density for the smooth solutions with compactly supported initial mass density by the property of the system under the vacuum state. Based on the above-mentioned results, we prove that we cannot get a global classical solution, no matter how small the initial data are, as long as the initial mass density is of compact support. Finally, we will see that some of the results that we obtained are still valid for the isentropic flows with degenerate viscosity coefficients as well as for one-dimensional case.  相似文献

Large time asymptotic structure for solutions of the Cauchy problem for a generalized Burgers equation is determined. In particular, Gelfand’s question about location of viscous shock waves for such equations is answered.  相似文献

This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for nonlinear first order partial functional differential equations. The unknown function is the functional variable in the equation and the partial derivatives appear in a classical sense. A theorem on the local existence of a generalized solution is proved. The initial problem is transformed into a system of functional integral equations for an unknown function and for their partial derivatives with respect to spatial variables. The existence of solutions of this system is proved by using a method of successive approximations. A method of bicharacteristics and integral inequalities are applied.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to complete the program initiated in [51], [23] and then carried out by several authors concerning non-degeneracy and uniqueness of solutions to mean field equations. In particular, we consider mean field equations with general singular data on non-smooth domains. The argument is based on the Alexandrov–Bol inequality and on the eigenvalues analysis of linearized singular Liouville-type problems.  相似文献

The Dirichlet problem is considered for the heat equation ut=auxx, a>0 a constant, for (x,t)∈[0,1]×[0,T], without assuming any compatibility condition between initial and boundary data at the corner points (0,0) and (1,0). Under some smoothness restrictions on the data (stricter than those required by the classical maximum principle), weak and strong supremum and infimum principles are established for the higher-order derivatives, ut and uxx, of the bounded classical solutions. When compatibility conditions of zero order are satisfied (i.e., initial and boundary data coincide at the corner points), these principles allow to estimate the higher-order derivatives of classical solutions uniformly from below and above on the entire domain, except that at the two corner points. When compatibility conditions of the second order are satisfied (i.e., classical solutions belong to on the closed domain), the results of the paper are a direct consequence of the classical maximum and minimum principles applied to the higher-order derivatives. The classical principles for the solutions to the Dirichlet problem with compatibility conditions are generalized to the case of the same problem without any compatibility condition. The Dirichlet problem without compatibility conditions is then considered for general linear one-dimensional parabolic equations. The previous results as well as some new properties of the corresponding Green functions derived here allow to establish uniformL1-estimates for the higher-order derivatives of the bounded classical solutions to the general problem.  相似文献

In this article, we have established existence of a solution to the 2 -phase free boundary problem for some fully nonlinear elliptic equations and also shown the free boundary has finite Hn−1 Hausdorff measure and a normal in a measuretheoretic sense Hn−1 almost everywhere. The regularity theory developed in [9] and [10] for this free boundary problem then leads to the fact that the free boundary is locally a C1,α surface near Hn−1-a.e. point.  相似文献
