Joseph and Kwack [9] introduced the notion of (θ,s)-continuous functions in order to investigateS-closed spaces due to Thompson [32]. In [26], the present authors investigated further properties of (θ,s)-continuous functions. In this paper, we introduce a new class of functions called α-quasi-irresolute functions which is weaker than (θ,s)-continuous and improve some results established in [26].  相似文献

In 1986, Tong [13] proved that a function f : (X,τ)→(Y,φ) is continuous if and only if it is α-continuous and A-continuous. We extend this decomposition of continuity in terms of ideals. First, we introduce the notions of regular-I-closed sets, A I-sets and A I -continuous functions in ideal topological spaces and investigate their properties. Then, we show that a function f : (X,τ,I)→(Y, φ) is continuous if and only if it is α-I-continuous and A I-continuous. Quite recently, by using semi-open (resp.α-open, preopen,β-open) sets in a topological space, the notions ofsg*-closed (resp.αg*-closed,pg*-closedβg*-closed) sets are indroduced and investigated in [8]. These subsets place between closed sets andg-closed sets due to Levine [5]. In this paper, we introduce the notion ofmg*-closed sets and obtain the unified theory for collections of subsets between closed sets andg-closed sets.  相似文献

In this paper, β-compactness is introduced in L-topological spaces, where L is a fuzzy lattice. And its topological properties are systematically studied. This β-compactness is defined for arbitrary L-subsets. The intersection of a β-compact L-fuzzy subset and a β-closed L-fuzzy subset is β-compact with a good extension. Also different characterizations are obtained and some of its properties are studied.  相似文献

LetR be a ring, and let (ℐ, ℱ) be an hereditary torsion theory of leftR-modules. An epimorphism ψ:M→X is called a torsion-free cover ofX if (1)M∈ ℱ, (2) every homomorphism from a torsion-free module intoX can be factored throughM, and (3) ker ψ contains no nonzero ℐ -closed submodules ofM. Conditions onM andN are studied to determine when the natural mapsM→M/N andQ(M)→Q(M)/N are torsion-free covers, whenQ(M) is the localization ofM with respect to (ℐ, ℱ). IfM→M/N is a torsion-free cover andM is projective, thenN⊆radM. Consequently, the concepts of projective cover and torsion-free cover coincide in some interesting cases.  相似文献

Let ℬ be a Banach space of analytic functions defined on the open unit disk. We characterize the commutant ofM Z 2 (the operator of multiplication by the square of independent variable defined on ℬ) and show that for an operatorS in the commutantM Z 2 ifSM Z 2k+1M Z 2k+1 S is compact for some nonnegative integerk, thenS=M ϕ whereϕ is a multiplier of ℬ. Letn be a positive integer andS be an operator in the commutant ofM Z n defined on a functional Hilbert spaces of analytic functions. We show that under certain conditionsS has the formM ϕ. We study the relation between different spaces of vector-valued polynomials and analytic functions over dual-isomorphic Banach spaces. Under conditions of regularity onE andF, we show that the spaces ofX-valuedn-homogeneous polynomials and analytic functions of bounded type onE andF are isomorphic wheneverX is a dual space. Also, we prove that many of the usual subspaces of polynomials and analytic functions onE andF are isomorphic without conditions on the involved spaces.  相似文献

LetX be any compact convex subset of a locally convex Hausdorff space andE be a complex Banach space. We denote byA(X, E) the space of all continuous and affineE-valued functions defined onX. In this paper we prove thatX is a Choquet simplex if and only if the dual ofA(X, E) is isometrically isomorphic by a selection map toM m (X, E*), the space ofE*-valued,w*-regular boundary measures onX. This extends and strengthens a result of G. M. Ustinov. To do this we show that for any compact convex setX, each element of the dual ofA(X, E) can be represented by a measure inM m (X, E*) with the same norm, and this representation is unique if and only ifX is a Choquet simplex. We also prove that ifX is metrizable andE is separable then there exists a selection map from the unit ball of the dual ofA(X, E) into the unit ball ofM m (X, E*) which is weak* to weak*-Borel measurable.This work will constitute a portion of the author's Ph.D. Thesis at the University of Illinois.  相似文献

A relatively easy proof is given for the known theorem that a Banach space is reflexive if and only if each continuous linear functional attains its sup on the unit ball. This proof simplifies considerably for separable spaces and can be extended to give a proof that a boundedw-closed subsetX of a complete locally convex linear topological space isw-compact if and only if each continuous linear functional attains its sup onX. We study germs of smooth CR mappings between embedded real hypersurfaces in complex spaces of the same dimension. In particular, we are interested in the generic rank of such mappings. IfH:MM′ is a CR map between two hypersurfacesM andM′, we prove that ifM′ does not contain any germ of a holomorphic manifold then eitherH is constant or the generic rank ofH is odd. We also prove that if there is no formal holomorphic vector field tangent toM, then eitherH is constant or genericallyH is a local diffeomorphism. It follows, as a special case, that ifM andM′ are of D-finite type (in the sense of D’Angelo) thenH is either constant or is generically a local diffeomorphism. An ordered linear spaceL is said to satisfy extension property (E1) if for every directed subspaceM ofL and positive linear functional ϕ onM, ϕ can be extended toL. A Riesz spaceL is said to satisfy extension property (E2) if for every sub-Riesz spaceM ofL and every real valued Riesz homomorphism ϕ onM, ϕ can be extended toL as a Riesz homomorphism. These properties were introduced by Schmidt in [5]. In this paper, it is shown that an ordered linear space has extension property (E1) if and only if it is order isomorphic to a function spaceL′ defined on a setX′ such that iff andg belong toL′ there exists a finite disjoint subsetM of the set of functions onX′ such that each off andg is a linear combination of the points ofM. LetN be a real submanifold in a complex manifoldM. If the maximal complex subspaces of the tangent spaces ofM contained in the tangent spaces ofN are of constant dimension and they define a differentiable distribution, thenN is called a generic submanifold. The class of generic submanifold includes all real hypersurfaces, complex submanifolds, totally real submanifolds andCR-submanifolds. In this paper we initiate a study of generic submanifolds in a Kähler manifold from differential geometric point of view. Some fundamental results in this respect will be obtained.  相似文献
