基于800nm飞秒激光脉冲对标准单模光纤采用非载氢技术刻写长周期光纤光栅的机理进行了研究.搭建了水平、垂直双CCD视频监控的飞秒激光脉冲逐点刻蚀长周期光纤光栅系统,研究了光栅长度、激光脉冲能量和光栅占空比等参数对光栅光谱特性的影响.研究结果表明,当光栅周期长度不变,光栅周期数和激光脉冲能量的变化使光栅谐振峰强度发生变化,光栅透射谱是单峰的;光栅占空比的改变导致光栅谐振峰由单峰转变为多峰.在谐振波长1 540nm处,得带谐振峰强度达到15dB、带外损耗不足2dB,在3dB衰减处带宽为15nm的谐振透射谱.  相似文献

采用二氧化碳激光逐点刻写技术对2μm波段长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)的传输特性进行了实验研究,探索了光栅周期、折射率调制深度、光栅周期数等光栅刻写参数对光纤光栅在2μm波段特征损耗峰的影响。仿真和实验结果均表明,2μm波段LPFG的谐振中心波长和谐振峰深度可分别通过光栅周期以及光栅长度来调谐,激光扫描次数以及折射率调制都将增加光纤内模式的耦合强度。此外还探究了2μm波段LPFG对于环境温度的敏感特性,通过设计实验测得该波段LPFG的温度灵敏性为74 pm/℃。该研究在2μm波段光纤激光器及其应用的核心器件方面有潜在的应用价值。  相似文献

基于长周期光纤光栅谐振光谱调制的氨氮降解监测研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
从长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)谐振透射光谱随外界环境折射率变化敏感特性的角度,详细研究了LPFG氨氮降解监测传感器的工作原理,分析了LPFG谐振峰波长与氨氮溶液浓度之间的对应关系.采用LPFG透射光谱检测技术,获得7种不同浓度氨氮溶液所对应的LPFG透射光谱曲线族,其谐振峰波长随溶液浓度的增大而逐渐向长波方向偏移,波长变化量从2.707 nm减至0.068 nm,且变化量与溶液浓度值呈良好的对应关系,其响应度为52.78 pm·mg-1·L.通过监测LPF-G光谱变化获取氨氮溶液的浓度,进而判断氨氮溶液的降解过程及程度.该方法对溶液直接进行监测,简单易行,测量及传导光路实现全光纤化,无需化学试剂标记,可实现对氨氮溶液降解过程的在线、精确及远距离遥测.  相似文献

从理论和实验上研究了带有高频二氧化碳激光写入的低成本长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA).结果表明,单波长和多波长EDFA的性能都可以通过在掺铒光纤(EDF)中插入长周期光纤光栅用作自发辐射噪声(ASE)滤波器或增益平坦器来提高性能.优化设计了带LPFG噪声滤波器的线放EDFA,与没有LPFG噪声滤波器相比,线放的噪声和小信号增益分别被减小和提高了约0.5 dB和7 dB。通过在多波长EDFA的EDF中插入一个LPFG增益平坦滤波器的方法,获得了1.5 dB的增益平坦度,与没有LPFG平坦器相比,EDFA的噪声被减小了0.1 dB,增益被提高了1 dB.  相似文献

提出并研制了一种结构简单、成本低廉的温度与应变同时测量系统,其结构是在保偏光纤Sagnac环内接入一个长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)。利用LPFG对保偏光纤Sagnac环的透射光谱进行调制,通过监测谐振峰波长和强度的变化,发现波长随温度和保偏光纤的应变变化,强度随LPFG的应变变化,因此可以实现温度与应变的区分测量,并且可判断出应变的施加位置。实验得到该系统的温度灵敏度为0.181 81 nm·℃-1,LPFG区的应变灵敏度为0.005 283 dB·με-1,保偏光纤Sagnac环区的应变灵敏度为0.015 72 nm·με-1。实验结果表明该方案可行,并具有一定的实用性。  相似文献

研究了基于长周期光纤光栅(long-period fiber gratings,LPFG)的光纤布拉格光栅(fiber Bragg gratings,FBG)解调方法,该方法利用LPFG的透射谱作为边沿滤波器解调FBG,其解调性能主要取决于LPFG的透射光谱深度。详细分析了CO_(2)激光写制法对透射光谱的影响,制作了透射光谱深度为25 dB的LPFG,并采用该光栅搭建了FBG解调装置,将FBG粘贴于金属应变片表面,测试了其静态与动态响应特征。实验结果表明:该方法制作简单,成本低,具有较好的线性动态范围,可以实现较高灵敏度的FBG解调。  相似文献

提出一种基于光栅反馈技术的掺铥光纤随机激光器。激光器采用半开腔设计,封闭端采用中心波长为1 940 nm的高反射率光纤光栅为激光器系统提供强反馈,增益介质采用1.5 m长的掺铥光纤,泵浦源采用793 nm半导体激光器,开放端采用光纤随机光栅提供随机分布反馈。该光纤随机光栅由飞秒激光逐点刻写技术制备,在10 cm单模光纤上刻写超过6 000个间距随机分布的折射率畸变点,以增强光纤的后向瑞利散射效应。实验测得中心波长为1 940 nm的随机激光输出,其泵浦阈值为2.33 W,在3.8 W泵浦功率下的输出功率为57 mW,光信噪比达56 dB。输出激光在1 h内的波长偏移量小于0.1 nm,功率变化约0.26 dB,具有良好的稳定性。  相似文献

为了提高啁啾长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)光纤通信的色散补偿能力,提出了利用薄包层啁啾LPFG进行包散补偿的方法.首先介绍了根据传输信号确定啁啾LPFG的啁啾系数、光栅长度等参数的方法.然后利用上述方法设计了对光纤中传输的中心波长为1550 nm,带宽为0.2nm的信号进行色散补偿的薄包层啁啾LPFG.利用耦合模理论及传输矩阵法计算了约1m长的此种啁啾LPFG的色散,结果表明可以补偿该光信号通过46 km光纤所产生的色散.进一步分析了切趾函数、啁啾系数、交叉耦合系数等参数对薄包层啁啾LPFG色散的影响.  相似文献

啁啾倾斜光纤光栅(CTFBG)是高功率光纤激光系统中拉曼光滤除的重要器件。采用飞秒激光级联刻写的方式,在大模场面积双包层光纤(LMA-DCF)中制备了一个带宽约为15.2 nm、滤除深度大于20 dB的CTFBG,将其置于1080 nm高功率光纤激光长距离传输系统的输出端,实现了光谱无拉曼输出,明显提高了输出激光纯度,插入损耗约为0.3 dB,光束质量无明显变化。所提出的利用飞秒激光制备宽带CTFBG的方法可有效滤除光谱中的拉曼光,对CTFBG的研制与应用有重要意义。  相似文献

理论研究并实验验证了一种含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅.采用F矩阵对啁啾相移光纤光栅进行计算并分析了该光栅的谱特性.含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅可以在普通啁啾光栅透射谱阻带中产生双波长透射峰,透射峰位置直接取决于光栅中π相移的位置,透射峰的线宽和透射峰的波长间隔没有关系,仅随着啁啾率的增大而增大.采用带相位掩模的逐点扫描法对含有两段π相移的双波长啁啾相移光栅进行了制作,获得波长间隔为8 nm的双波长透射谱的光栅器件.该光栅的消光比和3 dB谱线宽分别为20 dB和0.08 nm,实验结果和理论设计一致.  相似文献

本文提出一种在同一段少模光纤上写入两个不同周期Λ1和Λ2的长周期光纤光栅构成叠栅的方法,实现了纤芯基模LP_(01)向高阶纤芯模LP_(11)模式转换的宽带宽的新型的全光纤模式转换器.利用有限元法和耦合模理论建立了模式转换器的理论分析模型.数值仿真分析了叠栅中两个子光栅周期间隔、光栅长度、耦合系数等光栅参数对模式转换器的影响.仿真分析和实验结果表明,通过改变两个子光栅的周期间隔来改变两个损耗峰的位置,形成一个损耗峰,从而可以实现宽带宽的模式转换器,其10dB带宽约是单栅的2倍.与传统的模式转换器相比,该转换器带宽宽、转换效率高,尺寸小、抗干扰能力强,可以在模分复用系统和光通信中得到广泛的应用.  相似文献

Novel formulas of amplitude coupling ratio and transmission functions are presented for a smooth square microring resonant (MRR) wavelength multiplexer. By using these formulas, transmission characteristics are analyzed and some parameters are optimized for such a 1 × 8 polymeric device around the central wavelength of 1550.92 nm with the wavelength spacing of 1.6 nm. In the design of the device, by using the smooth squares, a thicker coupling layer is obtained, and by resonating the light at different resonant orders in different filter elements, the ring radius increment is increased sufficiently, which is of benefit to the fabrication of the device. When the amplitude coupling ratio is 0.2, the 3-dB bandwidth of the spectral response is about 0.2 nm; the ratio between -1 dB and -10 dB bandwidths is about 0.2; the insertion loss is less than 1.33 dB; and the crosstalk is below -21 dB for every vertical output channel of the device.  相似文献

We report for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, on the fabrication and characterization of CO2-laser written long-period gratings in a large-mode area photonic crystal fiber with a core diameter of 25 μm. The gratings have low insertion losses (<1 dB) and high attenuation (>10 dB) at the resonant wavelengths, making them particularly interesting for high power applications.  相似文献

An all-fiber dual-parameter sensor based on cascaded long period grating pair fabricated by femtosecond laser and CO2 laser has been proposed and realized both theoretically and experimentally. The resonant wavelengths of LPFGs are 1557.80 nm and 1590.88 nm. In the strain range of 0–400 με, strain sensitivities are ?7.2 pm/με for C-LPFG and ?1.6 pm/με for F-LPFG. In the temperature range of 30–70°C, temperature sensitivities are ?41.1 pm/°C for C-LPFG and ?21.2 pm/°C for F-LPFG. By analyzing the resonant wavelength characterization, the proposed sensor can be efficiently used for dual-parameters measurement with promising application prospect and great research reference value.  相似文献

利用机械线加工技术设计矩形压力槽制作了周期为600 μm,周期数为60的长周期光纤光栅.实验研究了所制作长周期光纤光栅的温度和压力特性,并通过调整光纤和压力槽之间的角度改变长周期光纤光栅的谐振波长.采用此技术制作的长周期光纤光栅最大谐振峰值可达15 dB,通过调整光纤与压力槽之间的角度可使谐振波长变化超过12 nm.  相似文献

We report the fabrication and characterization of a photonic crystal fiber with solid-core and steering-wheel pattern air-cladding (SW-PCF). Specifically, SW-PCF is fabricated using sol-gel casting technique. Attenuation spectrum shows the fiber losses of 0.14 dB/m, 0.087 dB/m, and 0.0 32 dB/m at wavelengths of 850 nm, 1000 nm, and 1500 nm, respectively, while the cut-off wavelength for single-mode operation is 1360 nm. Near-field imaging is used for the determination of mode-field diameter. The fiber presents the anomalous dispersion expending to short wavelength range with high non-linearity. Tapered SW-PCFs in the transverse geometries are numerically calculated, which suggests that the tapering of fiber holds a significant promise for the enhancement of power overlap in air holes. Properly designed and fabricated SW-PCF can thus be utilized as attractive platform for evanescent field sensing and detection.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a voltage-controllable add-drop multiplexer with a tunable coupler based on long-period fiber gratings (LPFGs). The tunable coupler is based on cladding mode coupling between two parallel LPFGs with divided coil heaters, which controls the resonant wavelength positions of the two LPFGs. The wavelength tunability of the tunable coupler is measured to be -0.45 nm/degrees C in the temperature range from 20 to 120 degrees C. The large tuning range of optical signals (approximately 50.54 nm) from 1502.32 to 1552.86 nm, which covers both the short (S) and the conventional (C) bands, is achieved. The channel isolation is as high as approximately 40 dB. It has several advantages, including a broad tuning range of wavelength in both the S- and C-bands, high channel isolation, no backreflection, and so on.  相似文献

A bent photonic crystal waveguide was fabricated by use of a lattice pattern of a circular photonic crystal that allowed high transmission for a broad band of wavelengths with a small radius of curvature at a bend. The waveguide was fabricated by use of alumina rods with a diameter of 3 mm. Windows of high transmission as a result of waveguiding were observed near 9 and 15 GHz. By measurement of the relative wave intensity [E]2 along the line defects, the propagation losses in the straight and the bent sections were estimated at 9.3 GHz to be 0.04 and 0.03 dB/mm, respectively.  相似文献

Dielectric-loaded plasmonic waveguide-racetrack resonators (WRTRs) were designed and fabricated for operating at near-infrared wavelengths (750–850 nm) and characterized using leakage radiation microscopy. The transmission spectra of the WRTRs are found experimentally and compared to the calculated analytical expression. The wavelength-dependent parameters of the analytical expression, i.e. the propagation length and effective-index dispersion, were also estimated experimentally by leakage radiation imaging of direct and Fourier space, respectively. The fabricated structures exhibited high extinction ratio (~20 dB) and good agreement between calculated and measured transmission values.  相似文献
