We demonstrate resolution improvement in an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system with multiple scans of segmented spectral bands and software signal processing. With an effective spectral full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 45 nm, centered at 950 nm, we compress the interference fringe FWHM from 31 μm down to 7 μm, which is smaller than the theoretical limit of 8.9 μm if a Gaussian spectral shape is assumed, through the combined effect of dispersion compensation and spectral shaping. With the amplitude adjustments of the OCT images of the segmented spectral bands, side-lobes can be significantly suppressed with a slight increase of the fringe envelope FWHM. With other amplitude adjustments, the envelope FWHM can be reduced to 5.6 μm at the expense of significant side-lobes.  相似文献

A high-speed single-mode fiber-based polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS OCT) system was developed. With a polarization modulator, Stokes parameters of reflected flight for four input polarization states are measured as a function of depth. A phase modulator in the reference arm of a Michelson interferometer permits independent control of the axial scan rate and carrier frequency. In vivo PS OCT images of human skin are presented, showing subsurface structures that are not discernible in conventional OCT images. A phase retardation image in tissue is calculated based on the reflected Stokes parameters of the four input polarization states.  相似文献

鉴于不同生理病理状态下组织复折射率实部的变化不大,传统光学相干层析(OCT)成像技术在分子特异性识别上存在先天不足.为此,本文提出了基于受激辐射信号的OCT成像方法,可在实现传统散射成像的同时,实现基于受激辐射信号的分子成像.在超高分辨率谱域OCT系统的基础上,通过增设光谱分光与调制抽运光支路,建立了基于单宽谱光源的抽运探测谱域OCT系统,详细推导了调制抽运下受激辐射信号的获取与成像公式.利用搭建的抽运探测谱域OCT系统,实现了瞬态受激辐射信号的相干探测.基于同时获取的受激辐射OCT信号和传统OCT信号,成功重构了氮化物粉末构建样品的基于受激辐射信号的分子对比OCT图像.  相似文献

We investigated the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to measure several materials immersed in optical adhesives. The effects of variations in the concentration, physical characteristics, and thickness of the materials were studied, and these parameters were found to significantly affect the OCT measurement. The materials were selected for their distinct spectral properties in the infrared region. To ensure reliability, we acquired images using a scanning electron microscope after performing the semiconductor production process. We verified the feasibility of the application of OCT for defect inspection and product verification of touch-screen panels.  相似文献

频域光学相干层析系统中扫描机构定位精度、 机械抖动及样品移动会造成A扫描信号幅值和相位发生波动, 影响生物组织成像质量. 利用最小灰度差匹配、Lorentzian曲线极值拟合和谱域光程差补偿等方法对A 扫描信号进行幅值配准. 通过对A扫描信号相位分布特征的匹配实现相位差检测与配准. 通过求已配准的A 扫描复信号之差, 消除静态组织对血流成像的影响. 进行了人眼扫描实验, 有效提取了视网膜三维血流图像. 实验结果表明, 提出的幅值及相位配准方法大大减小了系统扫描精度、人眼跳动等因素对生物组织在体成像质量的影响. 快速、精确的相位配准方法也可广泛应用在多普勒OCT、相位显微等与相位分辨有关的光学成像领域. 关键词: 频域光学相干层析 配准 血流成像 相位分布特征  相似文献

We report an experimental study of the possibility of high-speed optical coherence tomography (OCT) for high-resolution imaging characterization of detrusor dynamic morphophysiology and analysis of the mechanisms that lead to geriatric incontinence (GI). The spontaneous contractility of intact fresh rabbit bladders was imaged with two-dimensional (2D) OCT ex vivo at up to 8 frames/s. The time-lapse 2D OCT images were postprocessed by image segmentation and fast-Fourier-transform analysis to characterize the dynamic morphological changes of the bladder contractility. In addition, we studied young and aging rat bladders to analyze the differences in dynamics. Preliminary results of our ex vivo study reveal that time-lapse OCT can track the contractile waves of bladders at high spatial resolution and characterize their dynamic morphophysiology in terms of amplitude, phase, and frequency. The results suggest that time-lapse OCT has the potential to act as a detrusor optical biopsy to enhance the diagnosis of detrusor dysfunction and thus of the mechanisms that lead to GI.  相似文献

An arbitrary three-phase shifting algorithm is introduced in order to achieve full range spectral optical coherence tomography imaging of biological tissue. Theoretical treatment behind this approach is given and experimentally verified. It is shown that this method is capable of eliminating the undesired auto-correlation and complex conjugate images, leading to the un-obscured full range spectral OCT imaging. An intact porcine eye is used to demonstrate the potential of such a method for biological imaging.  相似文献

We introduce a new Monte Carlo (MC) method for simulating optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of complex multilayered turbid scattering media. We demonstrate, for the first time of our knowledge, the use of a MC technique to imitate two-dimensional polarization-sensitive OCT images with nonplanar boundaries of layers in the medium like a human skin. The simulation of polarized low-coherent optical radiation is based on the vector approach generalized from the iterative procedure of the solution of Bethe-Saltpeter equation. The performances of the developed method are demonstrated both for conventional and polarization-sensitive OCT modalities.  相似文献

We demonstrate, for what we believe to be the first time, the use of a 3 x 3 fiber-optic coupler to realize a homodyne optical coherence tomography (OCT) system for en face imaging of highly scattering tissues and turbid media. The homodyne OCT setup exploits the inherent phase shifts between different output ports of a 3 x 3 fiber-optic coupler to extract amplitude information of a sample. Our homodyne en face OCT system features a measured resolution of 14 microm axially and 9.4 microm laterally with a 90 dB signal-to-noise ratio at 10 micros integration time. En face OCT imaging of a stage 52 Xenopus laevis was successfully demonstrated at a depth of 600 microm within the sample.  相似文献

We present a full range handheld probe type spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) method. Here, the sample arm is composed of a tilted fiber-optic cantilever scanner; thus, the phase shift concurrently occurs while sample scanning. With the phase shift, we could achieve a full range complex-conjugate-free OCT image with no additional phase shifters in the reference arm. To realize this technique, a magnetically actuated probe was adopted. Full range SD-OCT images of a pearl, human fingernail, and human tooth were subsequently obtained using this suggested probe. The scanning range and acquisition speed were 3?mm and 20 frames/s?, respectively.  相似文献

We report a new synthetic aperture optical microscopy in which high-resolution, wide-field amplitude and phase images are synthesized from a set of Fourier holograms. Each hologram records a region of the complex two-dimensional spatial frequency spectrum of an object, determined by the illumination field's spatial and spectral properties and the collection angle and solid angle. We demonstrate synthetic microscopic imaging in which spatial frequencies that are well outside the modulation transfer function of the collection optical system are recorded while maintaining the long working distance and wide field of view.  相似文献

为了提高光学相干层析成像(OCT)的轴向分辨率,采用OCT与光学超分辨术相结合的方法,设计了三区相位型和振幅型两种光瞳滤波器,并将制作的光瞳滤波器应用于系统的样品臂中,分别测量不同条件下对应的轴向响应曲线,结果与理论分析基本吻合,实现了轴向分辨率10%以上的提高,从而验证了利用合适光瞳滤波器实现OCT轴向超分辨的可行性.  相似文献

This paper represents a survey of research on the problem of acousto-optic conversion of optical images. This method of conversion permits us to retain all information that is contained in both amplitude and phase spatial modulation of a light wave. Particular attention is given to acousto-optic visualization of phase objects and registration of optical wavefronts. Information possibilities of the acousto-optic method are illustrated by numerical calculations as well as by some experiments recently performed in this area.  相似文献

Mid-infrared ultrashort pulses of 9.2-microm center wavelength are characterized in both amplitude and phase. This is achieved by use of a variant of spectral phase interferometry for direct electric field reconstruction in which spectral interferometry has been replaced with time-domain interferometry, a technique that is well suited for infrared pulses. The setup permits simultaneous recording of the second-order interferometric autocorrelation, thus providing an independent check on the retrieved spectral phase.  相似文献

A spectral interferometric optical coherence tomography (OCT) system which has polarization sensitivity is developed. This system reduces the mechanical scanning dimension by employing the principle of spectral interferometry, and measures a two dimensional cross-sectional image of biological tissue with one dimensional mechanical scanning. Sixteen OCT images with different polarization conditions are measured, and two dimensional distributions of each element of the Müller matrix of a sample to be measured are calculated.  相似文献

We describe a technique that uses complex field holograms to project three-dimensional light patterns. Holographic projection commonly uses phase-only encoding since accurately representing complex holograms using both amplitude and phase spatial light modulators reduces the optical throughput significantly. Here, we use a lossless projection via the generalized phase contrast method to produce the necessary amplitude pattern required for complex field holographic projection. We numerically evaluate the technique and demonstrate high optical throughput with reduced undesired high diffraction orders.  相似文献

An extension of the well-known technique for spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER) has been developed that permits the reconstruction of the spectral amplitude and the spectral phase of ultrashort laser pulses from the acquisition of only one spectrum. Temporal intensity and temporal phase can therefore easily be retrieved. The characterization of pulses from a Ti:sapphire oscillator by use of an extended SPIDER is discussed. We have developed a novel phase-resolved optical coherence tomography (OCT) and optical Doppler tomography (ODT) system that uses phase information derived from a Hilbert transformation to image blood flow in human skin with fast scanning speed and high velocity sensitivity. Using the phase change between sequential scans to construct flow-velocity imaging, this technique decouples spatial resolution and velocity sensitivity in flow images and increases imaging speed by more than 2 orders of magnitude without compromising spatial resolution or velocity sensitivity. The minimum flow velocity that can be detected with an axial-line scanning speed of 400 Hz and an average phase change over eight sequential scans is as low as 10 microm/s, while a spatial resolution of 10 microm is maintained. Using this technique, we present what are to our knowledge the first phase-resolved OCT/ODT images of blood flow in human skin.  相似文献

We have developed a spectral interferometric optical coherence tomography (OCT) system with polarization sensitivity that is able to measure a two-dimensional tomographic image by means of one-dimensional mechanical scanning. Our system, which has an axial resolution of 32 mum , calculates the distribution of each element of the Müller matrix of a measured object from 16 OCT images. 利用光学随机分数傅里叶变换设计了一种双图像加密算法,并给出了相应的光学实现.加密算法中,将两幅原始图像分别作为加密系统输入复函数的振幅和位相分布函数,利用随机分数傅里叶变换进行加密,所得复函数的振幅即为加密图像,而位相部分是变换的输出相位,随机位相作为加密算法的密码.在数值模拟中,二值文本图像和灰度图像分别被作为原始图像用于加密结果分析和加密安全测试,结果表明该加密算法具有很好的安全性.  相似文献
