Metal-halide complexes of Ti, V, Y, Zr, Al, Ga, and U supported by the tetradentate monoanionic (TDMA) ligand bis(2-picolyl)(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzyl)amine, H(BPPA), were synthesized and spectroscopically characterized. In addition, the complexes (BPPA)TiCl2, (BPPA)VBr2, [(BPPA)YCl2]2, (BPPA)AlCl2, (BPPA)GaCl2, and (BPPA)UI3 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. In all cases the ligand is bound kappa4 to the metal center. All structurally characterized compounds are monomeric in the solid-state with the exception of [(BPPA)YCl2]2, which exists as a dimer in the solid-state. The metal-alkyl complexes (BPPA)AlMe2 and (BPPA)Zr(CH2Ph)3 were also synthesized and characterized, and an X-ray structure of (BPPA)Zr(CH2Ph)3 was obtained. The transformation of BPPA from a monoanionic to a dianionic ligand via proton abstraction was observed and monitored by NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Reaction of YI(3)(THF)(3.5) with one equivalent of the potassium beta-diketiminate (BDI) complex [HC{C(CH(3))NAr}(2)K] (Ar = 2,6-Pr(i)(2)C(6)H(3)) affords the monomeric, mono-substituted yttrium BDI complex [HC{C(CH(3))NAr}(2)YI(2)(THF)] in good yield. Reaction of with DME affords [HC{C(CH(3))NAr}(2)YI(2)(DME)] in quantitative yield, which is monomeric also. Reaction of the primary terphenyl phosphane Ar*PH(2) (Ar* = 2,6-(2,4,6-Pr(i)(3)C(6)H(2))(2)C(6)H(3)) with potassium hydride, and recrystallisation from hexane, affords the potassium primary terphenyl phosphanide complex [{Ar*P(H)K(THF)}(2)] in high yield. Compound is dimeric in the solid state, constructed around a centrosymmetric K(2)P(2) four-membered ring, the coordination sphere of potassium is supplemented with an eta(6) K[dot dot dot]C(aryl) interaction. The reaction of with one molar equivalent of in THF affords the THF ring-opened compound [HC{C(CH(3))NAr}(2)Y{O(CH(2))(4)P(H)Ar*}(I)(THF)]. Compound is formed as a mixture of endo(OR) and exo(OR) isomers (: = approximately 2 : 1) which may be separated by fractional crystallisation from hexane-toluene to give pure . Attempted alkylation of with two equivalents of KCH(2)Si(CH(3))(3) affords the potassium yttriate complex [Y{micro-eta(5):eta(1)-ArNC(CH(3))[double bond, length as m-dash]CHC([double bond, length as m-dash]CH(2))NAr}(2)K(DME)(2)] in moderate yield; contains two dianionic dianilide ligands, which are derived from C-H activation of a backbone methyl group, each bonded eta(5) to yttrium in the solid state. The reaction of with one equivalent of KC(8) affords [{HC(C[CH(3)]NAr)(2)YI(micro-OCH(3))}(2)], derived from C-O bond activation of DME, as the only isolable product in very low yield. Compounds , , , , , and have been characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy and CHN microanalyses.  相似文献

Oxidative insertion of the In(I) 'carbene analogues', [In{N(Dipp)C(Me))2CH] (Ar = Dipp = 2,6-iPr2C6H3; Ar = Mes = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2) into the Fe-I bond of [CpFe(CO)2I] occurred cleanly and under mild conditions to yield the In(III) compounds [CH((CH3)2CN-2,6-iPr2C6H3)2In(I)FeCp(CO)2] and [CH( (CH3)2CN-2,4,6-Me3C6H3)2In(I)FeCp(CO)2], which have been fully characterised in solution and the solid state. Attempts to abstract the iodide anion from [CH( (CH3)2CN-2,6-iPr2C6H3)2In(I)FeCp(CO)2] to form cationic species containing a coordinated indium diyl were unsuccessful and resulted in a complex mixture of products from which two ionic species were isolated. Neither cation was found to contain indium by X-ray crystallographic analysis. These observations were indicative of ill-defined decomposition pathways as have been noted by previous workers. A further attempt to form a cationic iron species containing a coordinated [In(N(Dipp)C(Me) )2CH] fragment resulted in oxidation of the iron centre from Fe(II) to Fe(III), with deposition of indium metal, and the isolation of a cationic Fe(III) beta-diketiminate complex.  相似文献

The reaction of beta-diketiminated aluminum(I) monomer LAl with a large bulky azide N3Ar' (L = HC(CMeNAr)2, Ar' = 2,6-Ar2C6H3, Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3) in the temperature range from -78 degrees C to room temperature affords two different isomers 2 and 3, which have been characterized by spectroscopic and X-ray structural analyses, as well as elemental analysis. The variable-temperature 1H NMR kinetic studies of this reaction indicate the existence of the monomer LAlNAr' (1) at low temperature and the thermal stability of the compounds increases in the order of 1 < 2 < 3.  相似文献

Complexes ML12 and ML22, with M = FeII, CoII, NiII, and 1,3-bis(2-R-tetrazol-5-yl)triazenide ligands L1 (R = Me) and L2 (R = tBu), have been synthesized by the reaction of corresponding 1,3-bis(2-R-tetrazol-5-yl)triazenes with metal(II) salts in basic media and characterized by IR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, thermal and X-ray diffraction analyses. Both 1,3-bis(2-R-tetrazol-5-yl)triazenes were found to deprotonate on coordination and act as tridentate chelating ligands forming distorted MN6 octahedra around metal(II) cations.  相似文献

Metal-halide complexes of a multidentate monoanionic ligand tBuN(H)SiMe2N(CH2CH2PiPr2)2, H[N2P2], with Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni have been isolated and characterized. X-ray crystallographic studies were performed on [N2P2]TiCl2 (3), [N2P2]CrCl2 (5), [N2P2]MnCl (6), [N2P2]FeCl (7), [N2P2]CoCl (8), and [N2P2]NiBr (9), and the results revealed that the [N2P2] ligand exhibits considerable flexibility in the manner in which it binds to first-row metals and that three distinct coordination modes are observed: kappa3-N2P (Ti), kappa3-NP2 (Mn, Fe, Co), and kappa4-N2P2 (Cr, Ni). Electrochemical (CV) data and room-temperature magnetic susceptibilities are also described.  相似文献

Three novel compounds [Cu21,1-N3)2(N3)2(bdmpzm)2] (1) [Cd(N3)2(bdmpzm)]n (2) and [Ni(N3)2(bdmpzm)2] (3) have been synthesised and characterised structurally and spectroscopically. The structure 1 consists of a neutral dinuclear [Cu21,1-N3)2(N3)2(bdmpzm)2] entities, compound 2 has one-dimensional zigzag chain structure extending along the crystallographic direction [1 0 0] with alternating di-μ1,1-N3 and di-μ1,3-N3 bridges, and 3 is a mononuclear complex. The experimental studies on the nickel(II) complex have been accompanied computationally by the density functional theory (DFT) calculations.  相似文献

Summary The reaction of warm alcoholic solutions of acetates of CoII, MnII, ZnII and NiII with 2, 6-diacetylpyridine andS-methylisothiosemicarbazide hydrogen iodide yielded the complexes: [Co(H2L)I2]·H2O, [Mn(H2L)(MeOH)2]I2, [Zn(H2L)(MeOH)I]I and [Ni(HL)]I, (H2L=the pentadentate pentaaza-ligand 2, 6-diacetylpyridine bis(S-methylisothiosemicarbazone)). The reaction of methanolic solutions of [Ni(HL)]I and NH4NCS or LiOAc.2H2O, give [Ni(HL)]NCS and NiL, respectively. For the complexes of CoII, MnII and ZnII, a pentagonal bipyramidal configuration is proposed, with H2L in the equatorial plane and two unidentate ligands (I and/or MeOH) in the axial positions. The complexes [Ni(HL)]X (X=I or NCS) and NiL probably have monomeric five- and dimeric six-coordinate structures, respectively, in which only the chelate ligand is involved in coordination.  相似文献

The thiocarbohydrazone Schiff-base ligand with a nitrogen and sulphur donor was synthesized through condensation of pyridine-2-carbaldehyde and thiocarbohydrazide. Schiff-base ligands have the ability to conjugate with metal salts. A series of metal complexes with a general formula [MCl2(H2L)]·nH2O (MNi, Co, Cu and Zn) were synthesized by forming complexes of the N1,N5-bis[pyridine-2-methylene]-thiocarbohydrazone (H2L) Schiff-base ligand. These metal complexes and ligand were characterized by using ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy, physicochemical characterization, CHNS and conductivity. The biological activity of the synthesized ligand was investigated by using Escherichia coli DNA as target. The DNA interaction of the synthesized ligand and complexes on E. coli plasmid DNA was investigated in the aqueous medium by UV-Vis spectroscopy and the binding constant (Kb) was calculated. The DNA binding studies showed that the metal complexes had an improved interaction due to trans-geometrical isomers of the complexes than ligand isomers in cis-positions.  相似文献

Reactions of [NBu4][Re(O)Cl4] with bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane (bpzm) and bis(pyrazol-1-yl)acetate (Hbpza) and with the lithium salts lithium [bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)acetate] (Libdmpza) and lithium [bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methanesulfonate] (Libdmpzs) produce a series of new compounds containing either a kappa2-N,N bidentate pyrazolyl ligand [Re(O)(bpzm)Cl3 (1), Re(O)(bpzm)(OMe)Cl2 (2), Re(O)(bpzaOMe)(OMe)Cl2 (4)] or a kappa3-N,N,O heteroscorpionate [Re(O)(bpza)Cl2 (3), Re(O)(bdmpza)Cl2 isomers 5 and 6, Re(O)(bdmpza)(OMe)Cl (7), Re(O)(bdmpza)(OEt)Cl (8), Re(O)(bdmpzs)(OMe)Cl (9), Re(O)(bdmpzs)(OEt)Cl (10)]. X-ray analyses of 1 and 3 show in both cases a distorted octahedral environment around the rhenium atom. The nature and the geometry of the products are strongly determined by the reaction solvent and by the heteroscorpionate ligand itself. When scorpionates bear methylated pyrazolyl rings mixed heterocomplexes Re(O)(bdmpza)(glycol) (11) and Re(O)(bdmpzs)(glycol) (12) are obtained (H2glycol = ethylene glycol). Also 11 shows an octahedral geometry as assessed by X-ray study.  相似文献

Four novel mixed-ligand complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with m-hydroxybenzoate (m-Hba) and N,N-diethylnicotinamide (Dena) were synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopic study, and solid state UV-Vis spectrophotometric and magnetic-susceptibility data. The thermal behavior of the complexes was studied by combined TG-DTA methods in static air atmosphere, and the mass spectra were recorded. The Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) complexes, except for the Cu(II) complex, contain two molecules of coordinated water, two m-Hba, and two Dena ligands per formula unit. In these complexes, the m-Hba and Dena behave as monodentate ligands via acidic oxygen and nitrogen of the pyridine ring. In the Cu(II) complex, the m-Hba is coordinated as monoanionic bidentate ligand through acidic oxygen and carbonyl oxygen. Dena is bonded with Cu2+ as monodentate ligand by the nitrogen atom of the pyridine ring. The decomposition pathways and the stability of the complexes are interpreted in terms of the proposed structural data. The final decomposition products were found to be the respective metal oxides. The article was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Summary Thirteen new complexes, MLX·nH2O and ML2(ClO4)2· nH2O [M = Co, Ni, Cu; X = Cl, Br, NO f3 p– , 1/2SO f4 p2– ; n = 1 or 2; and L = 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)benzothiazole], have been synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, magnetic moments, thermal studies and electronic, i.r. and e.p.r. spectral studies. On the basis of available data probable structures have been proposed. In a few cases the antibacterial and antifungal activities increase on complexation of the ligand with metals.  相似文献

Addition reaction of ArN(SiMe 3)M (Ar = Ph or 2,6 - (i) Pr 2-C 6H 3 (Dipp); M = Li or Na) to 2 equivalents of alpha-hydrogen-free nitrile RCN (R = dimethylamido) gave the dimeric [M{N(Ar)C(NMe 2)NC(NMe 2)N(SiMe 3)}] 2 ( 1a, Ar = Ph, M = Li; 1b, Ar = Ph, M = Na; 1c, Ar = Dipp, M = Li). 1d was obtained by hydrolysis of 1c at ambient temperature. Treatment of a double ratio of 1a or 1b with anhydrous MCl 2 (M = Mn, Fe, Co) yielded the 1,3,5-triazapentadienato complexes [M{N(Ph)C(NMe 2)NC(NMe 2)N(SiMe 3)} 2] (M = Mn, 2; Fe, 3; Co, 4) and with NiCl 2.6H 2O gave [M{N(Ph)C(NMe 2)NC(NMe 2)N(H)} 2] (M = Ni, 5). Treatment of an equiv of 1c with anhydrous CuCl in situ and in air led to complexes [{N(Dipp)C(NMe 2)NC(NMe 2)N(SiMe 3)}CuPPh 3] 6 and [Cu{N(Dipp)C(NMe 2)NC(NMe 2)N(H)} 2] 7, respectively. 1c, 1d, and 2- 7 were characterized by X-ray crystallography and microanalysis. 1c, 1d, 5, and 6 were well characterized by (1)H, (13)C NMR, 1c by (7)Li, and 6 by (31)P NMR as well. The structural features of these complexes were described in detail.  相似文献

Sky-blue Tp*WOCl(2) has been synthesized from the high-yielding reaction of Tp*WO(2)Cl with boron trichloride in refluxing toluene. Dark-red Tp*WOI(2) was prepared via thermal decarbonylation followed by aerial oxidation of Tp*WI(CO)(3) in acetonitrile. From these precursors, an extensive series of mononuclear tungstenyl complexes, Tp*WOXY [X = Cl(-), Y = OPh(-), SPh(-); X = Y = OPh(-), 2-(n-propyl)phenolate (PP(-)), SPh(-), SePh(-); XY = toluene-3,4-dithiolate (tdt(2-)), quinoxaline-2,3-dithiolate (qdt(2-)), benzene-1,2-diselenolate (bds(2-)); Tp* = hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)borate], was prepared by metathesis with the respective alkali-metal salt of X(-)/XY(2-) or (NHEt(3))(2)(qdt). The complexes were characterized by microanalysis, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, IR, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and electronic absorption spectroscopies, and X-ray crystallography (for X = Y = OPh(-), PP(-), SPh(-); XY = bds(2-)). The six-coordinate, distorted-octahedral tungsten centers are coordinated by terminal oxo [W≡O = 1.689(6)-1.704(3) ?], tridentate Tp*, and monodentate or bidentate O/S/Se-donor ligands. Spin Hamiltonian parameters derived from the simulation of fluid-solution X-band EPR spectra revealed that the soft-donor S/Se ligand complexes had larger g values and smaller (183)W hyperfine coupling constants than the less covalent hard-donor O/Cl species. The former showed low-energy ligand-to-metal charge-transfer bands in the near-IR region of their electronic absorption spectra. These oxotungsten(V) complexes display lower reduction potentials than their molybdenum counterparts, underscoring the preference of tungsten for higher oxidation states. Furthermore, the protonation of the pyrazine nitrogen atoms of the qdt(2-) ligand has been examined by spectroelectrochemistry; the product of the one-electron reduction of [Tp*WO(qdtH)](+) revealed usually intense low-energy bands.  相似文献

Five trinuclear complexes [M(bpca)(2)(M'(hfac)(2))(2)] (where MM'(2) = NiMn(2), CuMn(2), FeMn(2), NiFe(2), and FeFe(2); Hbpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amine; and Hhfac = hexafluoroacetylacetone) were synthesized almost quantitatively by the reaction of [M(bpca)(2)] and [M'(hfac)(2)] in 1:2 molar ratio, and their structures and magnetic properties were investigated. Three complexes, with M' = Mn, crystallize in the same space group, Pna2(1), whereas two complexes, with M' = Fe, crystallize in P4(1), and complexes within each set are isostructural to one another. In all complexes, [M(bpca)(2)] acts as a bis-bidentate bridging ligand to form a linear trinuclear complex in which three metal ions are arranged in the manner M'-M-M'. The central metal ion is in a strong ligand field created by the N(6) donor set, and hence the Fe(II) in the [Fe(bpca)(2)] moiety is in a low-spin state. The terminal metal ions (M') are surrounded by O(6) donor sets with a moderate ligand field, which leads to the high-spin configuration of Fe(II). Three metal ions in all complexes are almost collinear, and metal-metal distances are ca. 5.5 A. The magnetic behavior of NiMn(2) and NiFe(2) shows a weak ferromagnetic interaction between the central Ni(II) ion and the terminal Mn(II) or Fe(II) ions. In these complexes, sigma-spin orbitals of the central Ni(II) ion and those of terminal metal ions have different symmetry about a 2-fold rotation axis through the Ni-N(amide)-M'(terminal) atoms, and this results in orthogonality between the neighboring sigma-spin orbitals and thus ferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

The metal-chelating ability of 2-pyrrolylthiones is described. The readily available ligands di-2-pyrrolyl thione (6), 2-thioacetylpyrrole (10), and 2-thiobenzoylpyrrole (11) constitute examples of monoanionic ligands with N,S-donor atom sets, although di-2-pyrrolyl thione (6) could theoretically also achieve chelation through an N,N-donor set. A square planar Ni(II) complex, 14, an octahedral Co(III) complex, 18, and a tetrahedral Hg(II) complex, 17, with the di-2-pyrrolyl thionato chelate have been prepared, and their structures have been characterized by 1H NMR, UV-vis, MS, IR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal data for 14: C18H14N4NiS2.0.28H2O, trigonal, R3, a = 18.467(1) A, b = 18.467(1) A, c = 26.404(2) A, V = 7797(1) A3; Z = 18, R = 3.2%. Crystal data for 18-mer: C27H21CoN6S3.C3H6O (acetone), monoclinic, P21/n, a = 9.569(1) A, b = 23.152(1) A, c = 13.659(1) A, beta = 100.882(8) degrees, V = 2971.6(5) A3, Z = 4, R = 4.3%. Crystal data for 17: C18H14HgN4S2, triclinic, P1, a = 8.443(2), b = 14.278(1) A, c = 7.445(1) A, alpha = 90.561(9) degrees, beta = 97.64(1) degrees, gamma = 104.250(9) degrees, V = 861.3(2) A3, Z = 2, R = 4.2%. The bond lengths and angles of these metal complexes are comparable to those of known N,S-chelates. A comparison of the structural parameters of the ligand in the metal complexes with those for the free ligand 6 demonstrates the preorganization of the free ligand for complexation and demonstrates the spectator role of the noncoordinating pyrrolic unit. Chelation of Ni(II) by 2-thioacetylpyrrole (10) and 2-thiobenzoylpyrrole (11) to provide complexes 12 and 13 with structures analogous to complex 14 is also described.  相似文献

Reactions of 3,4-dimethyl-3',4'-bis(diphenylphosphino)tetrathiafulvalene, o-P2, with [BF(4)](-) salts of Fe(ii), Co(ii), Ni(II), Pd(II), and Pt(II) yield complexes of general formula [M(o-P2)(2)][BF(4)](2). Similar reactions between o-P2 and AgSbF(6) or AgPF(6) produced the salts [Ag(o-P2)(2)][X] where X = [SbF(6)](-) or [PF(6)](-). The resulting compounds were fully characterized by (1)H and (31)P{(1)H} NMR, infrared and electronic absorption spectroscopies, cyclic voltammetry, FAB-MS and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The paramagnetic Co(II) compound exhibits an S = 3/2 state with large spin-orbit coupling contribution at higher temperatures and an effective S' = 1/2 state below 20 K. Electrochemical studies of the compounds indicate that the two functionalized TTF ligands are not in electronic communication and that they essentially behave as isolated redox centers.  相似文献

New complexes of copper(II) nitrate, chloride, tetrafluoroborate, perchlorate, and perrhenate with bis(4-iodo-3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methane (L) were obtained. The molecular and crystal structures of [CuL(H2O)(NO3)2] · (CH3)2CO, [CuL2(H2O)][CuL2Cl][CuCl4], [CuL2](BF4)2 · (CH3)2CO, and [CuL2(H2O)](ClO4)2 · (CH3)2CO were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. In all the complexes, L was found to serve as a chelating bidentate ligand through the N2 and N2′ atoms of its pyrazole rings to form a six-membered chelate ring.  相似文献
