We estimate pointwise convergence rates of approximation for functions with derivatives of bounded variation and for functions which are exponentially bounded and have derivatives locally of bounded variation. The approximation is made through the operation of a sequence of integral operators with not necessarily positive kernel functions. The general result is then applied to deduce estimates for Beta operators, Hermite-Fejér operators, Picard operators, Gauss-Weierstrass operators, Baskakov operators, Mirakjan-Szász operators, Bleimann-Butzer-Hahn operators, Phillips operators, and Post-Widder operators.  相似文献

This paper gives the concepts of finite dimensional irreducible operators((FDI) operators)and infinite dimensional irreducible operators((IDI) operators). Discusses the relationships of(FDI)operators,(IDI) operators and strongly irreducible operators((SI) operators) and illustrates some properties of the three classes of operators. Some sufficient conditions for the finite-dimensional irreducibility of operators which have the forms of upper triangular operator matrices are given. This paper proves that every operator with a singleton spectrum is a small compact perturbation of an(FDI) operator on separable Banach spaces and shows that every bounded linear operator T can be approximated by operators in(Σ FDI)(X) with respect to the strong-operator topology and every compact operator K can be approximated by operators in(Σ FDI)(X) with respect to the norm topology on a Banach space X with a Schauder basis, where(ΣFDI)(X) := {T∈B(X) : T=Σki=1Ti, Ti ∈(FDI), k ∈ N}.  相似文献

The composition operators on H2 whose symbols are hyperbolic automorphisms of the unit disk fixing ±1 comprise a one-parameter group and the analytic Toeplitz operators coming from covering maps of annuli centered at the origin whose radii are reciprocals also form a one-parameter group. Using the eigenvectors of the composition operators and of the adjoints of the Toeplitz operators, a direct unitary equivalence is found between the restrictions to zH2 of the group of Toeplitz operators and the group of adjoints of these composition operators. On the other hand, it is shown that there is not a unitary equivalence of the groups of Toeplitz operators and the adjoints of the composition operators on the whole of H2, but there is a similarity between them.  相似文献

We suggest a method of renorming of spaces of operators which are suitably approximable by sequences of operators from a given class. Further we generalize J. Johnsons's construction of ideals of compact operators in the space of bounded operators and observe e.g. that under our renormings compact operators are u-ideals in the: space of 2-absolutely summing operators or in the space of operators factorable through a Hilbert space.  相似文献

A new class of pseudodifferential operators with degeneration is considered. The operators are constructed using a special integral transform mapping a weighted differentiation operator to a multiplication operator. The composition and boundedness properties of such operators in special weighted spaces are examined. Theorems on commutation of such operators with differentiation operators are obtained. The behavior of these operators as t → 0and t → +∞ is investigated. The properties of adjoint operators are studied, and an analogue of Gårding’s inequality is proved.  相似文献

We estimate pointwise convergence rates of approximation for functions of bounded variation and for functions which are exponentially bounded and locally of bounded variation. The approximation is through the operation of a sequence of integral operators with not necessarily positive kernel functions. The general result is then applied to deduce estimates for particular operators, such as Beta operators, Fourier–Legendre operators, Picard operators, and Gauss–Weierstrass operators.  相似文献

Very recently the q-Bernstein-Schurer operators which reproduce only constant function were introduced and studied by C. V. Muraru (2011). Inspired by J. P. King, Positive linear operators which preserve x 2 (2003), in this paper we modify q-Bernstein-Schurer operators to King type modification of q-Bernstein-Schurer operators, so that these operators reproduce constant as well as quadratic test functions x 2 and study the approximation properties of these operators. We establish a convergence theorem of Korovkin type. We also get some estimations for the rate of convergence of these operators by using modulus of continuity. Furthermore, we give a Voronovskaja-type asymptotic formula for these operators.  相似文献

It is well known that not every summability property for multilinear operators leads to a factorization theorem. In this paper we undertake a detailed study of factorization schemes for summing linear and nonlinear operators. Our aim is to integrate under the same theory a wide family of classes of mappings for which a Pietsch type factorization theorem holds. Our construction includes the cases of absolutely p-summing linear operators, (p, σ)-absolutely continuous linear operators, factorable strongly p-summing multilinear operators, (p1,?. . .?, pn)-dominated multilinear operators and dominated (p1,?. . .?, pn; σ)-continuous multilinear operators.  相似文献

We give a comprehensive treatment of Sturm-Liouville operators whose coefficients are measures, including a full discussion of self-adjoint extensions and boundary conditions, resolvents, and Weyl-Titchmarsh-Kodaira theory. We avoid previous technical restrictions and, at the same time, extend all results to a larger class of operators. Our operators include classical Sturm-Liouville operators, Sturm-Liouville operators with (local and non-local) δ and δ′ interactions or transmission conditions as well as eigenparameter dependent boundary conditions, Krein string operators, Lax operators arising in the treatment of the Camassa-Holm equation, Jacobi operators, and Sturm-Liouville operators on time scales as special cases.  相似文献

We introduce a class of operators, called λ-Hankel operators, as those that satisfy the operator equation S*XXS=λX, where S is the unilateral forward shift and λ is a complex number. We investigate some of the properties of λ-Hankel operators and show that much of their behaviour is similar to that of the classical Hankel operators (0-Hankel operators). In particular, we show that positivity of λ-Hankel operators is equivalent to a generalized Hamburger moment problem. We show that certain linear spaces of noninvertible operators have the property that every compact subset of the complex plane containing zero is the spectrum of an operator in the space. This theorem generalizes a known result for Hankel operators and applies to λ-Hankel operators for certain λ. We also study some other operator equations involving S.  相似文献

A pair of operators on a Banach space X are isometrically equivalent if they are intertwined by a surjective isometry of X. We investigate the isometric equivalence problem for pairs of operators on specific types of Banach spaces. We study weighted shifts on symmetric sequence spaces, elementary operators acting on an ideal I of Hilbert space operators, and composition operators on the Bloch space. This last case requires an extension of known results about surjective isometries of the Bloch space.  相似文献

The present paper deals with a new modification of Baskakov operators in which the functions exp(μt) and exp(2μt), μ>0 are preserved. Approximation properties of the operators are captured, ie, uniform convergence and rate of convergence of the operators in terms of modulus of continuity, approximation behaviors of the operators exponential weighted spaces, and pointwise convergence of the operators by means of the Voronovskaya theorem. Advantages of the operators for some special functions are presented.  相似文献

For a domain with singular points on the boundary, we consider a C * -algebra of operators acting in the weighted space . It is generated by the operators of multiplication by continuous functions on and the operators where σ is a homogeneous function. We show that the techniques of limit operators apply to define a symbol algebra for . When combined with the local principle, this leads to describing the Fredholm operators in . We introduce a class G of completely continuous operators and prove theorems on the spectral structure of these operators. In particular, operators of this class are similar to model operators in de Branges spaces.  相似文献

As a consequence of Jensen's inequality, centered operators of probabilistic type (also called Bernstein-type operators) approximate convex functions from above. Starting from this fact, we consider several pairs of classical operators and determine, in each case, which one is better to approximate convex functions. In almost all the discussed examples, the conclusion follows from a simple argument concerning composition of operators. However, when comparing Szász-Mirakyan operators with Bernstein operators over the positive semi-axis, the result is derived from the convex ordering of the involved probability distributions. Analogous results for non-centered operators are also considered.  相似文献

The minimization problem for a quadratic functional defined on the set of nonwarning (causal) operators acting in a causal Hilbert space can be regarded as an abstrat analog of the Wiener problem on constructing the optimal nonwarning filter. A similar problem also arises in the linear control problem with the quadratic performance criterion (in this case the transfer operators of a closed control system serve as causal ones). The introduction of causal operators in filtering theory and control theory is a mathematical expression of the causality principle, which must be taken into account for a number of problems. In the present paper we attempt to systematize the mathematical foundations of the abstract linear filtering theory, for which its basic results are expressed in terms of operators describing the filtering problem. We introduce and study a class of finite operators, a natural generalization of the class of causal operators, and give a solution of the minimization problem for a quadratic positive functional defined on the set of causal operators acting in a “discrete” causal space. As is known, in mathematical physics there are differential operators with constant coefficients whose fundamental solutions can be constructed explicitly; such operators are said to be exactly solvable. In this paper, the problem of adding lower-order terms with variable coefficients to exactly solvable operators in such a way that the new operators (deformations) admit constructing fundamental solutions in explicit form is posed. This problem is directly related to Hadamard’s problem of describing differential operators satisfying the Huygens’ principle. On the basis of the Fourier method of separation of variables and the method of gauge-equivalent operators, an effective method for finding exactly solvable deformations depending on one variable is constructed. An application of such deformations to constructing Huygens’ differential operators associated with the cone of real symmetric positive-definite matrices is suggested. __________ Translated from Sovremennaya Matematika i Ee Prilozheniya (Contemporary Mathematics and Its Applications), Vol. 38, Suzdal Conference-2004, Part 3, 2006.  相似文献

This paper proposes a general study of (I,T)-interval-valued fuzzy rough sets on two universes of discourse integrating the rough set theory with the interval-valued fuzzy set theory by constructive and axiomatic approaches. Some primary properties of interval-valued fuzzy logical operators and the construction approaches of interval-valued fuzzy T-similarity relations are first introduced. Determined by an interval-valued fuzzy triangular norm and an interval-valued fuzzy implicator, a pair of lower and upper generalized interval-valued fuzzy rough approximation operators with respect to an arbitrary interval-valued fuzzy relation on two universes of discourse is then defined. Properties of I-lower and T-upper interval-valued fuzzy rough approximation operators are examined based on the properties of interval-valued fuzzy logical operators discussed above. Connections between interval-valued fuzzy relations and interval-valued fuzzy rough approximation operators are also established. Finally, an operator-oriented characterization of interval-valued fuzzy rough sets is proposed, that is, interval-valued fuzzy rough approximation operators are characterized by axioms. Different axiom sets of I-lower and T-upper interval-valued fuzzy set-theoretic operators guarantee the existence of different types of interval-valued fuzzy relations which produce the same operators.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a classes of oscillatory singular integral operators of nonconvolution type with phases more general than polynomials. We prove that such operators are bounded on Lp provided their kernels satisfy a very weak condition. In addition, we also study the related truncated oscillatory singular integral operators. Moreover, we present a class of unbounded oscillatory singular integral operators.  相似文献
