We consider Chaplygin's equations [Izd. Akad. Nauk SSSR 3, 3 (1933)] describing the planar motion of a rigid body in an unbounded volume of an ideal fluid while circulation around the body is not zero. Hamiltonian structures and new integrable cases are revealed; certain remarkable partial solutions are found and their stability is examined. The nonintegrability of the system describing the motion of a body in the field of gravity is proved and the chaotic behavior of the system is illustrated.  相似文献

采用一种等效移动质量源来模拟有限深密度分层流体中运动物体生成内波的体积效应和旋涡、湍流尾迹激发源,结合内波本征值问题及Fourier变换等方法,建立了计算运动物体生成内波垂向位移场的一种理论模型,提出了确定移动质量源速度、回转直径及长度的具体方法.利用该理论模型,对一类典型密度分层流体中运动球生成内波的波系与波形结构,以及波高特征等进行了数值模拟与分析,结果与Robey实验结果符合良好,表明了所建立理论模型的合理与有效性. 关键词: 分层流体 内波 等效质量源  相似文献

The torque exerted by a magnetic field on a sphere with permanent electric dipole moment moving steadily in a dielectric fluid is calculated to lowest order in the dipole moment. Hence the force exerted on a steadily rotating sphere with electric dipole moment is found by Onsager symmetry. The modification from the vacuum values of torque and force depends only on the slip parameter and the static dielectric constant of the fluid. It is suggested that for a macroscopic ferro electric sphere the calculated effects could be measured experimentally without great difficulty.  相似文献

The problem of the effect of internal heat evolution on the motion of a heated solid spherical particle in a viscous fluid is analytically solved in the Stokes approximation at small Reynolds and Peclet numbers. The temperature drop between the surface of the particle and the area away from it is assumed to be arbitrary. In solving hydrodynamic equations, the thermal conductivity of the particle is set to be a power function of temperature and the viscosity of the fluid, an exponential-power function of temperature. 在具有连续密度跃层的分层流体中,对长径比为7:1的回转体在迎水和背水运动下激发体积效应与尾迹效应内波特性开展了系列实验.结果表明,体积效应激发内波属于一种相对于回转体定常的多模态Lee波结构,而尾迹效应激发主控内波为相对于回转体非定常的拟Lee波结构,这是一类由湍流尾迹中大尺度相干结构作为移动源激发的内波结构,在Lee波与拟Lee波之间存在一个与长径比近似为线性关系的临界转捩Froude数Frc,当FrFrc 时拟Lee波为主控内波,而且拟Lee波相关速度Froude数近似为一个常数0.8,其无因次峰-峰幅值随Fr的增大近似线性增大,其中Fr为回转体特征直径Froude数.结果还表明,回转体头部与尾部几何形式并不影响其激发内波临界转捩Froude数Frc、 拟Lee波相关速度Froude数及其峰-峰幅值变化特性.  相似文献

The flow pattern around a thin strip horizontally towed at constant velocity in a continuously stratified liquid is visualized by conventional “Vertical slit-Foucault’s knife”, “Maksoutov’s slit-thread” and “horizontal slit-regular grating” methods. Using these sensitive high-resolution methods enables to reveal new kind of the streaky structure including a sequence of thin sloping interfaces both on the strip surface and inside its wake. When velocity or distance from the strip increases, the streaks may be turned into the sloping or nearly horizontal interfaces. Reconnections of outer edges of the streaks result in appearance of a set of symmetrical “butterfly-like” vortices, which are perturbed by a shear flow inside the downstream wake. Lift forces caused by a slope of the strip produce an asymmetry of the wake and lead to fast degeneration ofthe streaky structures.  相似文献

An analysis of the heat transfer for a boundary layer forced convective flow past a moving permeable flat surface parallel to a moving fluid is presented. Prescribed surface temperature at the boundary is considered. A thermal radiation term in the energy equation is considered. The similarity solutions for the problem are obtained and the reduced ordinary differential equations are solved numerically. To support the validity of the numerical results, a comparison is made with the available results for some particular cases of this study. Dual solutions exist when the surface and the fluid move in the opposite directions.  相似文献

On the basis of an approximation method developed in a previous paper the motion of an ideal fluid sphere in a weak gravitational background is investigated. The sphere is assumed to be small in the sense that its radius is small compared with the change of the background . Furthermore the deformations of the sphere when accelerated by the background are assumed to be small compared with the extension of the sphere in the absence of acceleration. In the lowest mixed order (mixed of the background and the retarded potentials of the sphere in lowest order) the equation of motion is yielded by integrating Einstein's conservation law of energy and momentum over the world-tube of the sphere. One obtains an equation of motion for the center of the sphere that is identical with the geodesic line linearized in . In the case of a static background of a localized matter distribution it is shown that Einstein's energy-momentum complex formed with the retarded potentials from the accelerated motion of the sphere in lowest order (lowest mixed order) leads to an outgoing radiation of gravitational energy. All radiation terms can be expressed in terms of the background and the world-line of the center of the sphere.  相似文献

Free vibration and stability are investigated for a cantilever beam attached to an axially moving base in fluid. The equations of motion of the slender cantilever beam affiliated to an axially moving base at a known rate while immersed in an incompressible fluid are derived first. An “axially added mass coefficient” is taken into account in the obtained equations. Then, a coordinate transformation is introduced to fix the boundaries. Based on the Galerkin approach, the natural frequencies of the beam system are numerically analyzed. The effects of moving speed of the base and several other system parameters on the dynamics and stability of the beam are discussed in detail. It is found that when the moving speed exceeds a certain value the beam becomes unstable and the instability type is sensitive to the system parameters. When the values of system parameters, such as mass ratio and axially added mass coefficient, are big enough, however, no instabilities are detected. The variations of the lowest unstable critical moving speed with respect to several key parameters are also investigated.  相似文献

Interaction of a moving body with a compressible fluid is considered in light of electrodynamic analogies. For a sphere-shaped body, the “relativistic” correction to the added mass and radiation damping force is calculated. Motion with small velocities, as well as the case of near-sonic motion, is considered. For comparison with the 3-D case, the 1-D problem of the motion of a barge in a canal is solved, with the nontrivial dispersion of the surface gravity waves taken into account. The question of a stationary solution is discussed, taking into account dispersion and nonlinearity.  相似文献

We study the dynamical behavior of a single vehicle through the sequence of traffic lights controlled by the logistic map. The phase shift of traffic lights is determined by the logistic map and varies from signal to signal. The nonlinear dynamic model of the vehicular motion is presented by the nonlinear map including the logistic map. The vehicle exhibits the very complex behavior with varying both cycle time and logistic-map parameter a. For a>3, the dependence of arrival time on the cycle time becomes smoother and smoother with increasing a. The dependence of vehicular motion on parameter a is clarified.  相似文献

On the basis of the hypothesis that particle mass is anisotropic rather than isotropic, we investigate the relativistic motion of a particle within the framework of flat space-time. Assuming that the mass anisotropy is associated with the photon cloud of the particle, we argue that the self-energy of a particle is of the order of magnitude |δ m/M 0|?0.0005, for which conventional quantum electrodynamics, however, gives an infinite value.  相似文献

We give sufficient conditions for the rigid body in the presence of an axisymmetric force field and a gyroscopic torque to admit a Hamilton-Poisson formulation. Even if by adding a gyroscopic torque we initially lose one of the conserved Casimirs, we recover another conservation law as a Casimir function for a modified Poisson structure. The laminar flow problem of convective heat transfer for a second grade fluid over a semi-infinite plate in the presence of species concentration and chemical reaction is investigated. The governing equations are transformed into a dimensionless system of three non-linear coupled partial differential equations. These equations have been solved analytically subject to the relevant boundary conditions by employing a homotopy analysis method (HAM). It is noted that for the arising system, the HAM performs extremely well in terms of efficiency and simplicity. The influence of dimensionless pertinent parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration fields has been examined carefully.  相似文献
