We established a method on measuring the D0-D0- mixing parameter y for BESⅢ experiment at the BEPCⅡ e+e-collider.In this method,the doubly tagged ψ(3770)→D0D0- events,with one D decays to CP-eigenstates and the other D decays semileptonically,are used to reconstruct the signals.Since this analysis requires good e/π separation,a likelihood approach,which combines the dE/dx,time of flight and the electromagnetic shower detectors information,is used for particle identification.We estimate the sensitivity of the measurement of y to be 0.007 based on a 20 fb-1 fully simulated MC sample.  相似文献

The D^0-D^0 mixing at Belle in different modes with corresponding methods is reported in this paper, there is a clear evidence for non-zero y D^0 mixing parameter, and the measurement of D^0 mixing parameter x is still a challenge. CP violation in the decays is not observed. Branching fractions of other charm decays are presented.  相似文献

Recently, both BaBar and Belle experiments found evidences of neutral D mixing. In this paper, we discuss the sensitivities of the measurements of D mixing parameters at BES-Ⅲ. With CP tag technique at ψ(3770) peak, the extraction of the strong phase difference in D0→Kπ decay at BES-Ⅲ are discussed. We also make an estimate on the measurements of the mixing rate RM by using the coherent data at ψ(3770) peak. The CP violation in D system is predicted with an unobserved level in the Standard Model. Any significant CP violation in the D system indicates the existence of new physics. The sensitivity of the measurements of CP violation in the D system is estimated in the coherent D decays. Finally, the search for the rare D decays are discussed, in which some of the forbidden decays are smoking gun of new physics.  相似文献

We report the results of a search for D0-D0 mixing in D0 --> K+ pi- decays based on 400 fb(-1) of data accumulated by the Belle detector at KEKB. Both assuming CP conservation and allowing for CP violation, we fit the decay-time distribution for the mixing parameters x and y, as well as for the parameter R(D), the ratio of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays to Cabibbo-favored decays. The 95% confidence level region in the (x'2,y') plane is obtained using a frequentist method. Assuming CP conservation, we find x'2 < 0.72 x 10(-3) and -9.9 x 10(-3) < y' < 6.8 x 10(-3) at the 95% confidence level; these are the most stringent constraints on the mixing parameters to date. The no-mixing point (0,0) has a confidence level of 3.9%. Assuming no mixing, we measure R(D) = (0.377 +/- 0.008 +/- 0.005)%.  相似文献

We propose a new method to determine the mass and width differences of the two D meson mass eigenstates as well as the CP violating parameters associated with D0-D[over ]0 mixing. We show that an accurate measurement of all the mixing parameters is possible for an arbitrary CP violating phase, by combining observables from a time dependent study of D decays to a doubly Cabibbo suppressed mode with information from a CP eigenstate. As an example we consider D0-->K*0pi0 decays where the K*0 is reconstructed in both K+pi- and K(S)pi0. We also show that decays to the CP eigenstate D-->K+K- together with D-->K+pi- decays can be used to extract all the mixing parameters. There is a fourfold ambiguity in the solutions for x and y in both the cases. A combined analysis using D0-->K*0pi0 and D-->K+K- can also be used to reduce the ambiguity in the determination of parameters.  相似文献

We present the physics program of the open charm and heavy cc states above the DD production energy threshold, which will be studied with the BES-Ⅲ detector at the BEPC- Ⅱ collider in the coming years. Based on some full Monte Carlo simulations with the BES-Ⅲ detector, we predict the accuracy levels on measuring some physical quantities related to D^0, D^+ and Ds^+ decays as well as some non-charmed decays of the heavy cc states.  相似文献

We present results of a search for D0-D(-)0 mixing and a measurement of R(D), the ratio of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays to Cabibbo-favored decays, using D0-->K+pi- decays from 57.1 fb(-1) of data collected near sqrt[s]=10.6 GeV with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider. At the 95% confidence level, allowing for CP violation, we find the mixing parameters x('2)<0.0022 and -0.056相似文献

We have searched for mixing in the D(0)-D (0) system by measuring the decay-time distribution of D(0) --> K(+) pi(-) decays. The analysis uses 90 fb(-1) of data collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+) e(-) collider. We fit the decay-time distribution for the mixing parameters x' and y' and also for the parameter R(D), which is the ratio of the rate for the doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed decay D(0)--> K+ pi(-) to that for the Cabibbo-favored decay D(0)--> K-pi(+). We do these fits both assuming CP conservation and allowing for CP violation. We use a frequentist method to obtain a 95% C.L. region in the x'(2) - y' plane. Assuming no mixing, we measure R(D) = (0.381 +/- 0.017(+0.008)(-0.016))%.  相似文献

We observe evidence for D(0)-D(0) mixing by measuring the difference in the apparent lifetime when a D(0) meson decays to the CP eigenstates K(+)K(-) and pi(+)pi(-) and when it decays to the final state K(-)pi(+). We find the relative difference of the lifetimes y(CP) to be [1.31+/-0.32(stat)+/-0.25(syst)]%, 3.2 standard deviations from zero. We also search for a CP asymmetry between D(0) and D(0) decays; no evidence for CP violation is found. These results are based on 540 fb(-1) of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider.  相似文献

The possibility of studying D 0-D 0 mixing at a giga-Z linear collider "Z factory" where 10 9 hadronic Z 0 decays can be accumulated is examined.We discuss the sensitivity for the measurements of neutral D mixing parameters.These results are compared to those attainable at B factories.We find that the typical decay length of the neutral D mesons at Z factory is about 10 times larger than that at B factory.In addition,the resolution of the vertex detector of a giga-Z factory is 2-3 times better than that of B factory.The proper time resolution at Z factory is about 20-30 times better than that at B factory.Therefore the determination of the mixing parameters at a giga-Z factory is more precise.  相似文献

Using 281 fb-1 of data from the Belle experiment recorded at or near the (4S) resonance, we have measured the rates of the "wrong-sign" decays D0 --> K+ pi- pi0 and D0 --> K+ pi- pi+ pi- relative to those of the Cabibbo-favored decays D0 --> K- pi+ pi0 and D0 --> K- pi+ pi+ pi-. These wrong-sign decays proceed via a doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitude or via D0-D0 mixing; the latter has not yet been observed. We obtain R(WS)(K pi pi0) = [0.229 +/- 0.015(stat)(+0.013)(-0.009)(syst)]% and R(WS)(K3pi) = [0.320 +/- 0.018(stat)(+0.018)(0.013)(syst)]%. The CP asymmetries are measured to be -0.006 +/- 0.053 and -0.018 +/- 0.044 for the K+ pi- pi0 and K+ pi- pi+ pi- final states, respectively.  相似文献

We exploit the quantum coherence between pair-produced D0 and D[over]0 in psi(3770) decays to study charm mixing, which is characterized by the parameters x and y, and to make a first determination of the relative strong phase delta between D0-->K+pi- and D[over]0-->K+pi-. Using 281 pb(-1) of e+e- collision data collected with the CLEO-c detector at Ecm=3.77 GeV, as well as branching fraction input and time-integrated measurements of RM identical with (x2 + y2)/2 and RWS identical with Gamma(D0-->K+pi-)/Gamma(D[over]0-->K+pi-) from other experiments, we find cosdelta=1.03(-0.17)(+0.31)+/-0.06, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. By further including other mixing parameter measurements, we obtain an alternate measurement of cosdelta=1.10+/-0.35+/-0.07, as well as x sindelta=(4.4(-1.8)(+2.7)+/-2.9)x10(-3) and delta=(22(-12-11)(+11+9)) degrees .  相似文献

We present world average values for D0- mixing parameters x and y, CP violation parameters |q/P| and Arg(q/p), and strong phase differences δ and δKππ. These values are calculated by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group (HFAG) by performing a global fit to relevant experimental measurements. The results for x and y differ significantly from zero and are inconsistent with no mixing at the level of 6.7σ. The results for |q/P| and Arg(q/p) are consistent with no CP violation. The strong phase difference δ is less than 45° at 95% C.L.  相似文献

In e(+)e(-) collisions using the CLEO detector, we have studied the decay of the D0 to the final state K(0)(S)pi(+)pi(-) with the initial flavor of the D0 tagged by the decay D(*+)-->D0pi(+). We use the Dalitz technique to measure the resonant substructure in this final state and clearly observe ten different contributions by fitting for their amplitudes and relative phases. We observe a K(*)(892)(+)pi(-) component which arises from doubly Cabibbo suppressed decays or D0-D0; mixing.  相似文献

We present recent results from BABAR experiment for D0-D0 mixing measurements. Mixing parameters can be measured in different ways using different D0 decay modes, here we discuss the most sensitive analyses such as DO→K+π- where we had the first evidence of charm mixing, the measurement of the ratio of lifetimes of the decays DO→K+K-and DO→π- relative to D0→K-π+, the time dependent Dalitz plot analysis of D0→K+π-π0.New limits on CP-violating time-integrated asymmetries in D0→K+K- and D0→π+π- are also discussed. The analyses presented are based on 384 fb-1 data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-Ⅱ asymmetric B Factory.  相似文献

We measure the time dependence of the ratio of decay rates for the rare decay D{0}-->K{+}pi{-} to the Cabibbo-favored decay D{0}-->K{-}pi;{+}. A signal of 12.7x10;{3} D{0}-->K{+}pi{-} decays was obtained using the Collider Detector at Fermilab II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron with an integrated luminosity of 1.5 fb;{-1}. We measure the D0-D[over ]{0} mixing parameters (R_{D},y{'},x{'2}), and find that the data are inconsistent with the no-mixing hypothesis with a probability equivalent to 3.8 Gaussian standard deviations.  相似文献

We present an observation and time-integrated rate measurement of the decay D(0)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(0) produced in 9 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) collisions near the Upsilon(4S) resonance. The signal is inconsistent with an upward fluctuation of the background by 4.9 standard deviations. We measured the time-integrated rate of D(0)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(0) normalized to the rate of D(0)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(0) to be 0.0043(+0.0011)(-0.0010) (stat)+/-0.0007 (syst). This decay can be produced by doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays or by the D(0) evolving into a D(0) through mixing, followed by a Cabibbo-favored decay to K(+)pi(-)pi(0). We also found the CP asymmetry A = (9(+25)(-22))% be consistent with zero.  相似文献

We present a measurement of the time-dependent CP-violating (CPV) asymmetries in B0-->K(0)(S)pi(0) decays based on 124x10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->BB decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. In a sample containing 122+/-16 signal decays, we obtain the magnitudes of the direct CPV asymmetry CK(0)(S)(pi(0))=0.40(+0.27)(-0.28)+/-0.09 and of the CPV asymmetry in the interference between mixing and decay SK(0)(S)(pi(0))=0.48(+0.38)(-0.47)+/-0.06 where the first error is statistical and the second systematic.  相似文献

CP violation in neutral D meson decays to the CP eigenstates and non-CP eigenstates is studied systematically within the framework of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa model. The nonleptonic two-body decay processes and the decay processes with semileptonic tagging are discussed in detail and the upper bounds of the direct and indirect CP violation in these decay processes are obtained. A method to measure the mixing parameter [(e)\tilde]\tilde{\epsilon} and to separate the direct and indirect CP violation in the decay processes with semileptonic tagging are also discussed.  相似文献
