Boundary value problems for higher order linear impulsive differential equations

In this paper higher order linear impulsive differential equations with fixed moments of impulses subject to linear boundary conditions are studied. Green's formula is defined for piecewise differentiable functions. Properties of Green's functions for higher order impulsive boundary value problems are introduced. An appropriate example of the Green's function for a boundary value problem is provided. Furthermore, eigenvalue problems and basic properties of eigensolutions are considered.     

Boundary value problems for strongly degenerate parabolic equations

Solutions of strongly degenerate parabolic partial differential equations are known to develop infinite spatial derivatives in finite time from smooth initial conditions over the real line. However, when Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions are prescribed on a finite interval, a smooth classical solution may exist for all Eq., with derivatives vanishing as t tends to infinity. With some simple extra conditions relating two nonlinear coefficients in the degenerate equation, classical solvability is proved in general.     

BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR SECOND ORDER MIXED-TYPE FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

We use the topological degree method to deal with the generalized Sturm-Liouville boundary value problem (BVP) for second order mixed-type functional differential equation x(t)=f(t,xt,xt), 0≤t≤T. Existence principle and theorem for solutions of the BVP are obtained.     

Boundary value problems for fourth order differential equations in Hilbert space

This paper is concerned with existence and uniqueness results for fourth order boundary value problems in a Hilbert space. Our approach is based on the Leray-Schauder continuation theorem.     

Boundary value problems for first order differential equations of mixed type

We apply the monotone iterative method to formulate existence results for integro-differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. Some results for integro-differential inequalities are also given. Examples illustrate obtained results.     

Boundary value problems for complete partial differential equations of variable order

We prove the well-posedness of new boundary value problems for partially pseudodifferential complete nonclassical equations of variable order in space variables with higher derivatives of odd order in time.     

Boundary value problems of second order nonlinear functional difference equations

By using the critical point theory, some sufficient conditions for the existence and multiplicity of the boundary value problems to a class of second order functional difference equations are obtained.     

Boundary value problems for second order nonlinear differential equations on infinite intervals

In this paper, we consider boundary value problems for nonlinear differential equations on the semi-axis (0,∞) and also on the whole axis (−∞,∞), under the assumption that the left-hand side being a second order linear differential expression belongs to the Weyl limit-circle case. The boundary value problems are considered in the Hilbert spaces L²(0,∞) and L²(−∞,∞), and include boundary conditions at infinity. The existence and uniqueness results for solutions of the considered boundary value problems are established.     

Boundary value problems for differential-algebraic equations

This paper shows how certain regularization methods can be used to determine the solution structure of linear differential systems subject to linear constraints and boundary conditions. Attention is restricted to the relatively straightforward index-one problems and to certain index-two problems, where endpoint jumps are related to the underlying boundary layer structure of the corresponding singular perturbation problems.     

On solvability of boundary value problems for higher order nonlinear hyperbolic equations
