The degradation of SNR caused by the higher uniaxial crystalline anisotropy field (Hk) of medium and small write fields of narrower write width is one of the problems for achieving higher areal density. The SNR dependence on Hk of a medium with different write fields of head using the discrete track medium (DTM) is investigated by using micromagnetics simulation. As a result, the curves of SNR as a function of Hk have peak values. In DTM, the peak values of SNR are almost constant at any Hk of the medium and different write fields. Higher SNR is realized even at low Hk and small write field in DTM.  相似文献

The dynamical complexity and stochastic resonance (SR) of a time-delayed asymmetric bistable system are studied. Firstly, The effective potential function and steady-state probability density function are deduced based on Born-Oppenheimer approximation theory, and we find that the asymmetric item and time-delayed feedback item can both affect the curve of these two functions, especially the asymmetric item can induce phase displacement. Secondly, the mean first-passage time (MFPT) which plays an important role in research on particles escape rate is derived and we obtain an approximate asymmetric item r which can maintain a steady MFPT. Finally, the influences of different parameters on SR are researched by signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The analytic expression of SNR is derived and three dimensional graphs and contour maps of SNR with different parameters are obtained. The results indicate that time delay τ and time delay strength e can enhance the SNR and the asymmetric item r has a non-monotone effect on SNR. Notably, adjusting time delay strength e is more sensitive than that of the time delay τ in controlling SR.  相似文献

A linear system driven by correlated asymmetric dichotomous noises and periodic signal was investigated in the overdamped case. The exact expressions of output signal amplitude and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the system were derived. By means of numerical calculations, we found that: (i) At some fixed multiplicative noise intensities, the output signal amplitude with frequency exhibits the structure of a weak peak, even no peak as the dichotomous noise is asymmetric; (ii) In the case of asymmetric dichotomous noise, the signal frequency can cause non-monotonous behavior of the output signal amplitude with respect to multiplicative noise intensity; (iii) The curve of SNR with frequency has a weak peak and a trough in the case of symmetric dichotomous noise, but no peak with asymmetric; (iv) Whether the multiplicative noise is symmetric or asymmetric, the noise can enhance response of the system; (v) The SNR increases with the correlation strength between the two noises decreasing. In addition, the plane of multiplicative noise intensity versus noise symmetric parameter was plotted.  相似文献

The phenomenon of stochastic resonance (SR) in a new asymmetric bistable model is investigated. Firstly, a new asymmetric bistable model with an asymmetric term is proposed based on traditional bistable model and the influence of system parameters on the asymmetric bistable potential function is studied. Secondly, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as the index of evaluating the model are researched. Thirdly, Applying the two-state theory and the adiabatic approximation theory, the analytical expressions of SNR is derived for the asymmetric bistable system driven by a periodic signal, unrelated multiplicative and additive Gaussian noise. Finally, the asymmetric bistable stochastic resonance (ABSR) is applied to the bearing fault detection and compared with classical bistable stochastic resonance (CBSR) and classical tri-stable stochastic resonance (CTSR). The numerical computations results show that:(1) the curve of SNR as a function of the additive Gaussian noise and multiplicative Gaussian noise first increased and then decreased with the different influence of the parameters a, b, r and A; This demonstrates that the phenomenon of SR can be induced by system parameters; (2) by parameter compensation method, the ABSR performs better in bearing fault detection than the CBSR and CTSR with merits of higher output SNR, better anti-noise and frequency response capability.  相似文献

The dependence of intergranular exchange interaction on medium SNR was investigated by micromagnetic simulation. Based on adiabatic approximation theory, in this paper we study the asymmetric stochastic resonance system with time-delayed feedback driven by non-Gaussian colored noise. The analytical expressions of the mean first-passage time(MFPT) and output signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) are derived by using a path integral approach, unified colored-noise approximation(UCNA), and small delay approximation. The effects of time-delayed feedback and non-Gaussian colored noise on the output SNR are analyzed. Moreover, three types of asymmetric potential function characteristics are thoroughly discussed. And they are well-depth asymmetry(DASR), well-width asymmetry(WASR), and synchronous action of welldepth and well-width asymmetry(DWASR), respectively. The conclusion of this paper is that the time-delayed feedback can suppress SR, however, the non-Gaussian noise deviation parameter has the opposite effect. Moreover, the correlation time plays a significant role in improving SNR, and the SNR of asymmetric stochastic resonance is higher than that of symmetric stochastic resonance. Our experiments demonstrate that the appropriate parameters can make the asymmetric stochastic resonance perform better to detect weak signals than the symmetric stochastic resonance, in which no matter whether these signals have low frequency or high frequency, accompanied by strong or weak noise.  相似文献

The phenomenon of stochastic resonance (SR) in an asymmetric mono-stable system subject to two external periodic forces and multiplicative and additive noise is investigated. It is shown that the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for the fundamental and higher harmonics is a non-monotonic function of the intensities of the multiplicative and additive noise, as well as of the system parameter. Moreover, the SNR for the fundamental harmonic decreases with the increase of the system asymmetry, while the SNR for the higher harmonics behaves non-monotonically as the system asymmetry varies.  相似文献

研究了偏置信号调制下关联分段噪声驱动的过阻尼线性系统的随机共振现象,推导出了一阶矩、二阶矩和信噪比的解析表达式. 通过对信噪比曲线的分析,发现该系统中存在三种不同形式的随机共振:传统的随机共振、真正的随机共振和广义的随机共振. 此外,数值结果还表明,加性噪声能够减弱输出的信噪比,而噪声之间的互相关强度能够使输出的信噪比增强. 关键词: 随机共振 信噪比 偏置信号调制的噪声 分段噪声  相似文献

This paper investigates the stochastic resonance in a time-delayed bistable system subjected to multiplicative and additive white noise and asymmetric dichotomous noise.Under the adiabatic approximation condition,the expression of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is obtained.It finds that the SNR is a non-monotonic function of the delayed times,of the amplitude of the driving square-wave signal,as well as of the asymmetry of the dichotomous noise.In addition,the SNR varies non-monotonously with the intensities of the multiplicative and additive noise as well as the system parameters.Moreover,the SNR depends non-monotonically on the correlate rate of the dichotomous noise.  相似文献

提出两种基于非对称代价函数的耳语音增强算法,将语音增强过程中的放大失真和压缩失真区分对待。Modified ItakuraSaito (MIS)算法对放大失真给予更多的惩罚,而Kullback-Leibler (KL)算法则对压缩失真给予更多的惩罚。实验结果表明,在低于—6 dB的低信噪比情况中,经MIS算法增强后的耳语音的可懂度相比传统算法有显著提高;而KL算法则获得了同最小均方误差语音增强算法近似的可懂度提高效果,证实了耳语音中的放大失真和压缩失真对于耳语音可懂度的影响并不相同,低信噪比时较大的压缩失真有助于提高耳语音可懂度,而高信噪比时的压缩失真对耳语音可懂度影响较小。   相似文献

Aim

The influences on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of Displacement ENcoding with Stimulated Echoes (DENSE) MRI of field strength, receiver coil sensitivity and choice of flip angle strategy have been previously investigated individually. In this study, all of these parameters have been investigated in the same setting, and a mutual comparison of their impact on SNR is presented.

Materials and methods

Ten healthy volunteers were imaged in a 1.5 T and a 3 T MRI system, using standard five- or six-channel cardiac coils as well as 32-channel coils, with four different excitation patterns. Variation of spatial coil sensitivity was assessed by regional SNR analysis.

Results

SNR ranging from 2.8 to 30.5 was found depending on the combination of excitation patterns, coil sensitivity and field strength. The SNR at 3 T was 53±26% higher than at 1.5 T (P<.001), whereas spatial differences of 59±26% were found in the ventricle (P<.001). Thirty-two-channel coils provided 52±29% higher SNR compared to standard five- or six-channel coils (P<.001). A fixed flip angle strategy provided an excess of 50% higher SNR in half of the imaged cardiac cycle compared to a sweeping flip angle strategy, and a single-phase acquisition provided a sixfold increase of SNR compared to a cine acquisition.

Conclusion

The effect of field strength and receiver coil sensitivity influences the SNR with the same order of magnitude, whereas flip angle strategy can have a larger effect on SNR. Thus, careful choice of imaging hardware in combination with adaptation of the acquisition protocol is crucial in order to realize sufficient SNR in DENSE MRI.  相似文献

The influence of delayed-time and colored-noise in a bistable system subject to asymmetric dichotomous noise and colored noise is studied. Applying small delay-time approximation, under the adiabatic limit condition, the expression of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the system is obtained. It is found that, the SNR varies non-monotonously with the delayed-time and the correlation of the colored noise. Moreover, the SNR exhibits SR behavior when it is plotted as a function of the intensity and asymmetry of the dichotomous noise, and as a function of the strength of the colored noise.  相似文献

In this article an asymmetric intersubband quantum well structure as a high temperature terahertz (THz) optical switch is proposed. In our proposed structure the incoming low power energy photon (THz control signal) causes an optical switching. In this structure we introduce an optical terahertz switch based on coherent population trapping (CPT) phenomena. In the presence of electromagnetic THz field, quantum interference between the terahertz control field and short-wavelength probe field under appropriate condition, the medium becomes transparent (zero absorption) for the probe field. So the absorption and refraction characteristic of optical probe field can be modified with THz radiation. Therefore this idea is suitable for all – optical terahertz switching.  相似文献

Multi-echo Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (CPMG) imaging sequences were implemented on 1.5 T and 4.0 T imaging systems to test their ability to measure in vivo multi-component T2 relaxation behavior in normal guinea pig brain. The known dependence of accurate T2 measurements on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) was explored in vivo by comparing T2 decay data obtained using three methods to increase SNR (improved RF coil design, signal averaging and increased magnetic field strength). Good agreement between T2 values of nickel-doped agarose phantoms was found between imaging and spectroscopic methods. T2 values were determined for gray matter (GM) and white matter (WM) locations from images of guinea pig brain in vivo. T2 measurements of GM were found to be monoexponential at both field strengths. The mean T2 times for GM were 71 ms at 1.5 T, and 53 ms at 4.0T. The highest average SNR was achieved using an improved RF coil at 4.0T. In this case, two peaks were extracted in WM, a "short" T2 peak at approximately 6 ms, and a "medium" T2 peak at approximately 48 ms. T2 values in GM and the major component of WM were significantly decreased at 4.0T compared to 1.5 T. The improved SNR attained with this optimized imaging protocol at 4.0T has allowed for the first time extraction of the myelin-sensitive T2 component of WM in animal brain in vivo.  相似文献
