文中模拟了在基态非简并聚合物中的极化子和双极化子在弱电场中的运动,研究了在不同简并参数的系统中极化子和双极化子的动力学稳定性,发现在同一个系统中,双极化子比极化子的运动速度慢,晶格振荡小; 在简并参数大的系统中,极化子和双极化子的运动速度都变慢.极化子和双极化子在弱电场下都存在饱和速度,达到饱和速度后, 电场的能量发生了转换.  相似文献

The motion of excitations such as polarons is believed to be of fundamental importance for the transport properties of conjugated polymers for the use in, e.g., polymer based LED's. We have investigated polaron dynamics in a system of coupled polymer chains in the presence of an external electric field. In particular, we focus on how a polaron migrates through the polymer lattice, i.e., the situation in which a polaron reaches a chain end and is scattered to the surrounding chains. We show that the outcome of this event strongly depends on the strength of the electric field, and we identify three different cases for the polaron migration.  相似文献

基于一维紧束缚Su-Schrieffer-Heeger模型, 采用分子动力学方法, 讨论了杂质势的强度和杂质之间的距离对电子和空穴极化子动力学性质的影响. 研究结果表明: 1)当杂质势强度保持不变时, 两杂质离子之间的距离(d)在2-16个晶格常数变化时, 电子极化子的平均速度大于空穴极化子的平均速度, 这是由于电子、空穴极化子与杂质势的库仑作用不同而产生的差异, 同时极化子的平均速度随d的增加而增大; 若继续增加杂质离子之间的距离, 电子和空穴极化子的平均速度几乎保持不变, 仅有一些微小的振荡, 这是由于不同距离的杂质离子对电子和空穴极化子产生的势垒或势阱的叠加效果不同而引起的; 2)保持两杂质离子之间的距离不变时, 随着杂质势强度的增大, 电子和空穴极化子的平均速度均减小, 且空穴极化子的平均速度减小趋势更明显.  相似文献

A charge motion in an electric field in a Holstein molecular chain is modeled in the absence of dissipation. It is shown that in a weak electric field a Holstein polaron moves uniformly experiencing small oscillations of its shape. These oscillations are associated with the chain’s discreteness and caused by the presence of Peierls-Nabarro potential there. The critical value of the electric field intensity at which the moving polaron starts oscillating at Bloch frequency is found. It is shown that the polaron can demonstrate Bloch oscillations retaining its shape. It is also shown that a breathing mode of Bloch oscillations can arise. In all cases the polaron motion along the chain is infinite.  相似文献

The migration of a polaron at polymer/polymer interface is believed to be of fundamental importance for the transport and light-emitting properties of conjugated polymer-based light emitting diodes. Based on the one- dimensional tight-binding Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) model, we have investigated polaron dynamics in a one- dimensional polymer/polymer system by using a nonadiabatic evolution method. In particular, we focus on how a polaron migrates through the conjugated polymer/polymer interface in the presence of external electric field. The results show that the migration of polaron at the interface depends sensitively on the hopping integrals, the potential barrier induced by the energy mismatch, and the strength of applied electric field which increases the polaron kinetic energy.  相似文献

In a polymer chain, an extra electron or hole distorts the chain to form a charged polaron, which is the charge carrier being responsible for conductivity. When an intermediate-strength electric field is applied, the polaron will be accelerated for a short time and then move at a constant velocity. The dynamical process of polaron in a polymer chain with impurities is simulated within a non-adiabatic evolution method, in which the electron wave function is described by the time-dependent Schrödinger equation while the polymer lattice is treated classically by a Newtonian equation of motion. We have considered two kinds of dynamical processes, one is the field-induced depinning of a charged polaron, which is initially bound by an attractive impurity; and the other is the scattering of a polaron from an impurity. In the former process, the charged polaron will depart from the attractive impurity only for the applied field with strength over a threshold, otherwise, the polaron will oscillate around the impurity. The effect of an electric field on the basic parameters of confined and interfacepolarons in cylindrical nanowires embedded in a non-polar matrix are studied theoreticallyfor the first time. By using the Lee, Low, and Pines variational method, the analyticalexpressions for the quasi-one-dimensional Fröhlich polaron self-energy and effective massare obtained as functions of the wire radius and the strength of the electric fieldapplied perpendicular to the wire axis. We have shown that the polaron self-energy as wellas effective mass strongly depents on both the strengths of the electric field and on thewire radius. This will be taken into account in the interpretation of optical phenomenarelated to polaron motion in cylindrical nanowire, when the effect of an applied electricfield competes with the spatial quantum confinement.  相似文献

We consider a polaron Hamiltonian in which not only the lattice and the electron-lattice interactions, but also the electron hopping term is affected by anharmonicity. We find that the one-electron ground states of this system are localized in a wide range of the parameter space. Furthermore, low energy excited states, generated either by additional momenta in the lattice sites or by appropriate initial electron conditions, lead to states constituted by a localized electron density and an associated lattice distortion, which move together through the system, at subsonic or supersonic velocities. Thus we investigate here the localized states above the ground state which correspond to moving electrons. We show that besides the stationary localized electron states (proper polaron states) there exist moving localized solectron states which can be easily excited. The evolution of these localized states suggests their potential as new carriers for fast electric charge transport.  相似文献

We academically explore the properties of the coherence time (CT) of an electron powerful coupled to the phonons in a RbCl quantum pseudodot (QPD) qubit with an exterior electric field alongside the ρx direction. By employing the Pekar type variational method (PTVM) and the Fermi golden rule, the CT changes with the electric field, the chemical potential of the two-dimensional electron gas (CPTDEG), the zero point of the pseudoharmonic potential (ZPPHP) and the polaron radius is studied. The examined results indicate ① that the CT of RbCl QPD qubit decays with aggrandizing electric field, ② that the CT is a decreasing function of the CPTDEG, the ZPPHP and the polaron radius, ③ that here we can find that we can adjust the CT by changing the external electric field, the CPTDEG, the ZPPHP and the polaron radius.

The binding energy of the single and double bound polaron bound to a helium-type donor impurity in quantum wells (QWs) subject to a perpendicular electric field are calculated by a variational method. The couplings of an electron and the impurity with various phonon modes are considered. The results show that the cumulative effects of the electron–phonon coupling and the impurity–phonon coupling can contribute appreciably to the binding energy for the single bound polaron but only in some severe conditions for the double bound polaron. They also show that the binding energy is sensitive to the electric field strength. The comparison between the binding energies in the case of the impurity placed at the quantum well center and at the quantum well edge is also given.  相似文献

Employing variational method of Pekar type(VMPT), this paper investigates the first-excited state energy(FESE), excitation energy and transition frequency of the strongly-coupled polaron in the Cs I quantum pseudodot(QPD)with electric field. The temperature effects on the strong-coupling polaron in electric field are calculated by using the quantum statistical theory(QST). The results from the present investigation show that the FESE, excitation energy and transition frequency increase(decrease) firstly and then at lower(higher) temperature regions. We investigate the effect of temperature on polaron dynamics in the framework of a tight-binding model. The dissociation of a polaron will become fast with the increase of temperature. There exists a crossover of the charge localization time from strong to weak temperature-dependence. Instead of the uniform motion at zero temperature, a polaron moves un-uniformly under a driven field at a finite temperature, which indicates a discrete hopping between base pairs. It is also found that the polaron motion is thermally activated. A high temperature will result in a fast movement of a polaron under a deriving field.  相似文献
