Starting from a multimode hamiltonian for a system of radiating oscillators coupled with atomic reservoirs, the secular master equation for the radiation-density operator is calculated in the interaction picture after elimination of the atomic variables. Using the differential operator representation for coherent states this equation is transcribed into a multimode Fokker-Planck equation. The stationary solution in momentum space is given for the threshold region. Fourier transformation to configuration space results in a quasi-free energy formula for a laser oscillator exhibiting spatial dispersion. 相似文献

From the definition of the standard Perelomov coherent states we introduce the Perelomov number coherent states for any su(2) Lie algebra. With the displacement operator we apply a similarity transformation to the su(2)generators and construct a new set of operators which also close the su(2) Lie algebra, being the Perelomov number coherent states the new basis for its unitary irreducible representation. We apply our results to obtain the energy spectrum, the eigenstates and the partition function of two coupled oscillators. We show that the eigenstates of two coupled oscillators are the SU(2) Perelomov number coherent states of the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator with an appropriate choice of the coherent state parameters. 相似文献

On the basis of the generating function of the overlap integrals, a new closed form expression for the Franck–Condon integrals for overlap multidimensional harmonic oscillators has been exactly derived. We study the phenomena of chimera destruction and inducing of chimera-like states in an ensemble of nonlocally coupled chaotic Rössler oscillators under an external harmonic force. The localized harmonic influence can lead to both destruction and changing of the spatial topology of chimeras. At the same time this influence can cause the emergence of stable chimera-like states (induced chimeras) for the regime of partial coherent chaos. Induced chimeras are also observed for the global influence. We show the possibility of controlling the chimera-like state topology by varying the parameters of localized external harmonic influence. 相似文献

Harmonic lasing of low-gain free electron laser oscillators has been experimentally demonstrated in the terahertz and infrared regions. Recently, the low-gain oscillator has been reconsidered as a promising candidate for hard x-ray free electron lasers, through the use of high reflectivity, high-resolution x-ray crystals. In this Letter, it is proposed to utilize a crystal-based cavity resonant at a higher harmonic of the undulator radiation, together with phase shifting, to enable harmonic lasing of the x-ray free electron laser oscillator, and hence allow the generation of hard x-ray radiation at a reduced electron beam energy. Results show that fully coherent free electron laser radiation with megawatt peak power, in the spectral region of 10-25 keV, can be generated with a 3.5 GeV electron beam. 相似文献

We study two harmonic oscillators with a kinetic coupling system. By taking a unitary transformation approach, we turn the system into the Fock space of two independent harmonic oscillators and derive the density matrix for it. The corresponding unitary operator U is characteristic of including frequency-jump squeezing transformation. By virtue of the technique of the integration within an ordered product of operators, we manifestly show that the ground state of the system is a squeezed state. 相似文献

Chimera states, a symmetry-breaking spatiotemporal pattern in nonlocally coupled identical dynamical units, have been identified in various systems and generalized to coupled nonidentical oscillators. It has been shown that strong heterogeneity in the frequencies of nonidentical oscillators might be harmful to chimera states. In this work, we consider a ring of nonlocally coupled bicomponent phase oscillators in which two types of oscillators are randomly distributed along the ring: some oscillators with natural frequency ω1 and others with ω2 . In this model, the heterogeneity in frequency is measured by frequency mismatch |ω1−ω2| between the oscillators in these two subpopulations. We report that the nonlocally coupled bicomponent phase oscillators allow for chimera states no matter how large the frequency mismatch is. The bicomponent oscillators are composed of two chimera states, one supported by oscillators with natural frequency ω1 and the other by oscillators with natural frequency ω2. The two chimera states in two subpopulations are synchronized at weak frequency mismatch, in which the coherent oscillators in them share similar mean phase velocity, and are desynchronized at large frequency mismatch, in which the coherent oscillators in different subpopulations have distinct mean phase velocities. The synchronization–desynchronization transition between chimera states in these two subpopulations is observed with the increase in the frequency mismatch. The observed phenomena are theoretically analyzed by passing to the continuum limit and using the Ott-Antonsen approach. 相似文献

The equations of motion of a two-level system and a harmonic oscillator coupled to a dissipative system are discussed; the dissipative system is assumed to consist of a large number of radiation oscillators. Special equations for the determination of the correlation functions of the fluctuation forces are derived under the condition of large time values, for which the atomic system has “forgotten” its initial state. The expectation values of the correlation functions are connected with the damping constant and the population operator of the excited state of the atomic system is in thermal equilibrium. Taking into account the influence of the coherent radiation field on the atomic system, the basic equations for the treatment of the nonstationary Raman scattering by polaritons are derived; the temporal range of validity is discussed. Using a time-dependent “variable” Fourier transformation, the nonstationary time- and spacedependent spectral densities are related to the correlation functions of the fields; here the Wiener-Khintchine theorem is applied in a nonstationary form. The limiting cases of the stationary scattering process as well as the usually introduced correlators of the slowly varying amplitudes are discussed. 相似文献

The collective phase response to a macroscopic external perturbation of a population of interacting nonlinear elements exhibiting collective oscillations is formulated for the case of globally coupled oscillators. The macroscopic phase sensitivity is derived from the microscopic phase sensitivity of the constituent oscillators by a two-step phase reduction. We apply this result to quantify the stability of the macroscopic common-noise-induced synchronization of two uncoupled populations of oscillators undergoing coherent collective oscillations. 相似文献

The quantum harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency is analyzed by using the canonical transformation method. The varying mass and frequency of the system are reduced to constant mass and frequency, and the corresponding eigenvalues and eigenvectors are derived. The exact time-dependent coherent state of the harmonic oscillator is constructed and shown to be equivalent to the squeezed state. By employing the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, we derive natural representations of the rotation operator, the two-mode Fourier transform operator and the two-mode parity operator in entangled state representations. A new method to determine a coupling function in a phase model is theoretically derived for coupled self-sustained oscillators and applied to Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) oscillators. The synchronous behavior of two coupled BZ reactors is explained extremely well in terms of the coupling function thus obtained. This method is expected to be applicable to weakly coupled multioscillator systems, in which mutual coupling among nearly identical oscillators occurs in a similar manner. The importance of higher-order harmonic terms involved in the coupling function is also discussed. 相似文献
