Let λ(n) be the nth normalized Fourier coefficient of a holomorphic Hecke eigencuspform f(z) of even integral weight k for the full modular group. In this paper we are able to prove the following results.

Zagier [23] proved that the generating functions for the traces of level 1 singular moduli are weight 3/2 modular forms. He also obtained generalizations for “twisted traces”, and for traces of special non-holomorphic modular functions. Using properties of Kloosterman-Salié sums, and a well known reformulation of Salié sums in terms of orbits of CM points, we systematically show that such results hold for arbitrary weakly holomorphic and cuspidal half-integral weight Poincaré series in Kohnen’s Γ0(4) plus-space. These results imply the aforementioned results of Zagier, and they provide exact formulas for such traces.  相似文献

We explicitly calculate all the 2-primary higher algebraic K-groups of the rings of integers of all 2-regular quadratic number fields, cyclotomic number fields, or maximal real subfields of such. Here 2-regular means that (2) does not split in the number field, and its narrow Picard group is of odd order. Received August 1, 1998  相似文献

The study of Fourier coefficients of meromorphic modular forms dates back to Ramanujan, who, together with Hardy, studied the reciprocal of the weight 6 Eisenstein series. Ramanujan conjectured a number of further identities for other meromorphic modular forms and quasi-modular forms which were subsequently established by Berndt, Bialek, and Yee. In this paper, we place these identities into the context of a larger family by making use of Poincaré series introduced by Petersson and a new family of Poincaré series which we construct here and which are of independent interest. In addition we establish a number of new explicit identities. In particular, we give the first examples of Fourier expansions for meromorphic modular form with third-order poles and quasi-meromorphic modular forms with second-order poles.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with monogenic and k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms on arithmetic subgroups of the Ahlfors-Vahlen group. Monogenic automorphic forms are exactly the 0-hypermonogenic automorphic forms. In the first part we establish an explicit relation between k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms and Maaß wave forms. In particular, we show how one can construct from any arbitrary non-vanishing monogenic automorphic form a Clifford algebra valued Maaß wave form. In the second part of the paper we compute the Fourier expansion of the k-hypermonogenic Eisenstein series which provide us with the simplest non-vanishing examples of k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms.  相似文献

We study generalisations to totally real fields of the methods originating with Wiles and Taylor and Wiles [A. Wiles, Modular elliptic curves and Fermat's Last Theorem, Ann. of Math. 141 (1995) 443-551; R. Taylor, A. Wiles, Ring-theoretic properties of certain Hecke algebras, Ann. of Math. 141 (1995) 553-572]. In view of the results of Skinner and Wiles [C. Skinner, A. Wiles, Nearly ordinary deformations of irreducible residual representations, Ann. Fac. Sci. Toulouse Math. (6) 10 (2001) 185-215] on elliptic curves with ordinary reduction, we focus here on the case of supersingular reduction. Combining these, we then obtain some partial results on the modularity problem for semistable elliptic curves, and end by giving some applications of our results, for example proving the modularity of all semistable elliptic curves over .  相似文献

We show that if F is a totally real field in which p splits completely and f is a mod p Hilbert modular form with parallel weight 2 < k < p, which is ordinary at all primes dividing p and has tamely ramified Galois representation at all primes dividing p, then there is a “companion form” of parallel weight k′ := p + 1 − k. This work generalises results of Gross and Coleman–Voloch for modular forms over Q.  相似文献

Let H be a definite quaternion algebra over Q with discriminant DH and R a maximal order of H. We denote by Gn a quaternionic unitary group and put Γn=Gn(Q)∩GL2n(R). Let Sκ(Γn) be the space of cusp forms of weight κ with respect to Γn on the quaternion half-space of degree n. We construct a lifting from primitive forms in Sk(SL2(Z)) to Sk+2n−2(Γn) and a lifting from primitive forms in Sk(Γ0(d)) to Sk+2(Γ2), where d is a factor of DH. These liftings are generalizations of the Maass lifting investigated by Krieg.  相似文献

The real-analytic Jacobi forms of Zwegers' PhD thesis play an important role in the study of mock theta functions and related topics, but have not been part of a rigorous theory yet. In this paper, we introduce harmonic Maass-Jacobi forms, which include the classical Jacobi forms as well as Zwegers' functions as examples. Maass-Jacobi-Poincaré series also provide prime examples. We compute their Fourier expansions, which yield Zagier-type dualities and also yield a lift to skew-holomorphic Jacobi-Poincaré series. Finally, we link harmonic Maass-Jacobi forms to different kinds of automorphic forms via a commutative diagram.  相似文献

We prove that Siegel modular forms of degree greater than one, integral weight and level N, with respect to a Dirichlet character of conductor are uniquely determined by their Fourier coefficients indexed by matrices whose contents run over all divisors of . The cases of other major types of holomorphic modular forms are included. The author is supported by the Grant-in-Aid for JSPS fellows.  相似文献

We establish the oscillatory behavior of several significant classes of arithmetic functions that arise (at least presumably) in the study of automorphic forms. Specifically, we examine general L-functions conjectured to satisfy the Grand Riemann Hypothesis, Dirichlet series associated with classical entire forms of real weight and multiplier system, Rankin-Selberg convolutions (both “naive” and “modified”), and spinor zeta-functions of Hecke eigenforms on the Siegel modular group of genus two. For the second class we extend results obtained previously and jointly by M. Knopp, W. Kohnen, and the author, whereas for the fourth class we provide a new proof of a relatively recent result of W. Kohnen.  相似文献

We obtain upper and lower bounds for the number of divisions in the Euclidean algorithm, for almost all pairs of algebraic integers lying in the complex quadratic fields (–m), form=1, 2, 3, 7 and 11. In addition, the order of the average length for almost all such pairs is deduced.  相似文献
