LetX be the solution of the SDE:dX t = (X t)dB t +b(X t)dt, with andb C b (R) such that >0 for some constant , andB a real Brownian motion. Let be the law ofX onE=C([0, 1],R) andk E* – {0}, whereE* is the topological dual space ofE. Consider the classical form: k (u, v)=u / kv / kd, whereu andv are smooth functions onE. We prove that, if k is closable for anyk in a dense subset ofE* and if the smooth functions are contained in the domain of the generator of the closure of k , must be a constant function.  相似文献

Summary Let denote the class of infinite product probability measures = 1× 2× defined on an infinite product of replications of a given measurable space (X, A), and let denote the subset of for which (A) =0 or 1 for each permutation invariant event A. Previous works by Hewitt and Savage, Horn and Schach, Blum and Pathak, and Sendler (referenced in the paper) discuss very restrictive sufficient conditions under which a given member , of belongs to . In the present paper, the class is shown to possess several closure properties. E.g., if and 0 n for some n 1, then 0× 1× 2×.... While the current results do not permit a complete characterization of they demonstrate conclusively that is a much larger subset of than previous results indicated. The interesting special case X={0,1} is discussed in detail.Research supported by the National Science Foundation under grant No. MCS75-07556  相似文献

Summary We consider a minimal form of the usual conditions for the dependent central limit theorem and invariance principle for near martingales. We show that these conditions imply convergence to Brownian motion in a way that is slightly stronger than weak convergence in D[0,). On the other hand, if a sequence of processes with paths in D[0,) converges to Brownian motion in this way, then we can always find a sequence of partitions of the time axis that is such that these conditions hold for the corresponding array of increments.  相似文献

Consider a triangular array of standard Gaussian random variables {n,i, i 0, n 1} such that {n,i, i 0} is a stationary normal sequence for each n 1. Let n,k = corr(n,i,n,i+k). If (1-n,k)log n k (0,) as n for some k, then the locations where the extreme values occur cluster and the limiting distribution of the maxima is still the Gumbel distribution as in the stationary or i.i.d. case, but shifted by a parameter measuring the clustering. Triangular arrays of Gaussian sequences are used to approximate a continuous Gaussian process X(t), t 0. The cluster behavior of the random sequence refers to the behavior of the extremes values of the continuous process. The relation is analyzed. It reveals a new definition of the constants H used for the limiting distribution of maxima of continuous Gaussian processes and provides further understanding of the limit result for these extremes.  相似文献

We obtain the analytic expression for the total cross section of the reaction e e +l l + (l=,) taking possible quasianapole interaction effects into account. We find numerical restrictions on the interaction parameter value from data for the reaction e e ++ in the energy domain below the Z 0 peak.  相似文献

Let n be n-dimensional Euclidean space, and let : [0, L] n and : [0, L] n be closed rectifiable arcs in n of the same total length L which are parametrized via their arc length. is said to be a chord-stretched version of if for each 0s tL, |(t)–(s)| |(t)–(s)|. is said to be convex if is simple and if ([0, L]) is the frontier of some plane convex set. Individual work by Professors G. Choquet and G. T. Sallee demonstrated that if were simple then there existed a convex chord-stretched version of . This result led Professor Yang Lu to conjecture that if were convex and were a chord-stretched version of then and would be congruent, i.e. any chord-stretching map of a convex arc is an isometry. Professor Yang Lu has proved this conjecture in the case where and are C 2 curves. In this paper we prove the conjecture in general.  相似文献

Let G be a finite permutation group on a set with no fixed points in and let m and k be integers with 0 < m < k. For a finite subset of the movement of is defined as move() = maxgG| g \ |. Suppose further that G is not a 2-group and that p is the least odd prime dividing |G| and move() m for all k-element subsets of . Then either || k + m or k (7m – 5) / 2, || (9m – 3)/2. Moreover when || > k + m, then move() m for every subset of .  相似文献

We consider the (&, )-fragment of the intuitionistic propositional calculus. It is proved that under the standard transformation of a Gentzen derivation into a natural derivation(), the length of (())22·length( ). There is constructed a sequence of Gentzen derivations of length i, for which the length of (( i))21/3·length(i), which shows that the upper bound obtained is not too weak.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. If is a surjective isometry of the separable symmetric operator spaceE(M, ) associated with the approximately finite-dimensional semifinite factorM and if · E(M,) is not proportional to · L 2, then there exist a unitary operatorUM and a Jordan automorphismJ ofM such that(x)=UJ(x) for allxME(M, ). Summary We investigate classes of conditioned super-Brownian motions, namely H-transformsP H with non-negative finitely-based space-time harmonic functionsH(t, ). We prove thatH H is the unique solution of a martingale problem with interaction and is a weak limit of a sequence of rescaled interacting branching Brownian motions. We identify the limit behaviour of H-transforms with functionsH(t, )=h(t, (1)) depending only on the total mass (1). Using the Palm measures of the super-Brownian motion we describe for an additive spacetime harmonic functionH(t, )=h(t, x) (dx) theH-transformP H as a conditioned super-Brownian motion in which an immortal particle moves like an h-transform of Brownian motion.  相似文献

Let be a linear representation of a finite group over a field of characteristic 0. Further, let R be the corresponding algebra of invariants, and let P (t) be its Hilbert–Poincaré series. Then the series P (t) represents a rational function (t)/(t). If R is a complete intersection, then (t) is a product of cyclotomic polynomials. Here we prove the inverse statement for the case where is an almost regular (in particular, regular) representation of a cyclic group. This yields an answer to a question of R. Let {W(s)} s 0 be a standard Wiener process. The supremum of the squared Euclidian norm Y (t)2, of the R2-valued process Y(t)=(1/t W(t), {12/t 3 int0 t s dW (s)– {3/t} W(t)), t [, 1], is the asymptotic, large sample distribution, of a test statistic for a change point detection problem, of appearance of linear trend. We determine the asymptotic behavior P {sup t [, 1] Y(t)2 > u as u , of this statistic, for a fixed (0,1), and for a moving = (u) 0 at a suitable rate as u . The statistical interest of our results lie in their use as approximate test levels.  相似文献

For a finite morphism f : X Y of smooth varieties such that f maps X birationally onto X=f(X), the local equations of f are obtained at the double points which are not triple. If C is the conductor of X over X, and are the subschemes defined by C, then D and are shown to be complete intersections at these points, provided that C has the expected codimension. This leads one to determine the depth of local rings of X at these double points. On the other hand, when C is reduced in X, it is proved that X is weakly normal at these points, and some global results are given. For the case of affine spaces, the local equations of X at these points are computed.  相似文献

Summary A stop time S in the boson Fock space over L 2()+ is a spectral measure in [0,] such that {S([0,t])} is an adapted process. Following the ideas of Hudson [6], to each stop time S a canonical shift operator U Sis constructed in . When S({}) has the vacuum as a null vector U Sbecomes an isometry. When S({})=0 it is shown that admits a factorisation S]{S where {S is the range of U Sand S] is a suitable subspace of called the Fock space upto time S. This, in particular, implies the strong Markov property of quantum Brownian motion in the boson as well as fermion sense and the Dynkin-Hunt property that the classical Brownian motion begins afresh at each stop time. The stopped Weyl and fermion processes are defined and their properties studied. A composition operation is introduced in the space of stop time to make it a semigroup. Stop time integrals are introduced and their properties constitute the basic tools for the subject.  相似文献

Summary We obtain upper and lower bounds for the transition densities of Brownian motion on nested fractals. Compared with the estimate on the Sierpinski gasket, the results require the introduction of a new exponent,d J, related to the shortest path metric and chemical exponent on nested fractals. Further, Hölder order of the resolvent densities, sample paths and local times are obtained. The results are obtained using the theory of multi-type branching processes.  相似文献

For a bounded regular Jordan domain in R 2, we introduce and study a new class of functions K() related on its Green function G. We exploit the properties of this class to prove the existence and the uniqueness of a positive solution for the singular nonlinear elliptic equation u+(x,u)=0, in D(), with u=0 on and uC(), where is a nonnegative Borel measurable function in ×(0,) that belongs to a convex cone which contains, in particular, all functions (x,t)=q(x)t ,>0 with nonnegative functions qK(). Some estimates on the solution are also given.  相似文献

The fundamental result: if and v are two finite Borel measures, defined in the spaceL p[0, 1] (1p<) or in C(K) (K is a metric compactum without isolated points), then from the equalities (B)=v(B) for all balls B of radius 1 there follows that =v. In addition, in the spaces C(K) and p (1p<) from the inequalities (B) v(B) there follows that v.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. V.
