The facilitated transfer of alkali metal ions (Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+) by 25,26,27,28‐tetraethoxycarbonylmethoxy‐thiacalix[4]arene across the water/1,2‐dichloroethane interface was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The dependence of the half‐wave transfer potential on the metal and ligand concentrations was used to formulate the stoichiometric ratio and to evaluate the association constants of the complexes formed between ionophore and metal ions. While the facilitated transfer of Li+ ion was not observed across the water/1,2‐dichloroethane interface, the facilitated transfers were observed by formation of 1 : 1 (metal:ionophore) complex for Na+, K+, and Rb+ ions except for Cs+ ion. In the case of Cs+ a 1 : 2 (metal:ionophore) complex was obtained from its special electrochemical response to the variation of ligand concentrations in the organic phase. The logarithms of the complex association constants, for facilitated transfer of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+, were estimated as 6.52, 7.75, 7.91 (log β1°), and 8.36 (log β2°), respectively.  相似文献

The title compound, Cs3[Cr(C2O4)3]·2H2O, has been synthesized for the first time and the spatial arrangement of the cations and anions is compared with those of the other members of the alkali metal series. The structure is built up of alternating layers of either the d or l enantiomers of [Cr(oxalate)3]3−. Of note is that the distribution of the [Cr(oxalate)3]3− enantiomers in the Li+, K+ and Rb+ tris(oxalato)chromates differs from those of the Na+ and Cs+ tris(oxalato)chromates, and also differs within the corresponding BEDT‐TTF [bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene] conducting salts. The use of tris(oxalato)chromate anions in the crystal engineering of BEDT‐TTF salts is discussed, wherein the salts can be paramagnetic superconductors, semiconductors or metallic proton conductors, depending on whether the counter‐cation is NH4+, H3O+, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ or Cs+. These materials can also be superconducting or semiconducting, depending on the spatial distribution of the d and l enantiomers of [Cr(oxalate)3]3−.  相似文献

The synthesis of a cylindrical, imine‐based cage composed of two trimeric metallamacrocycles is described. The cage acts as a heterotopic receptor for alkali metal cations. The small cations Li+, Na+, and K+ bind to the outside of the cage with good selectivity for Li+, whereas the larger cations Rb+ and Cs+ are bound inside the cage to form unusual π complexes with a good selectivity for Cs+. Negative heterotopic cooperativity between the two binding sites is observed. The complexation of Cs+ is associated with a color change, which enables the cage to be used as a specific sensor for Cs+.  相似文献

Selectivity of Crystalline CeIV Phosphate Sulphate Hydrates for Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, and NH in Absolute Methanol and Absolute Dimethylsulphoxide The sequence of exchange capacities of Cerium(IV) phosphate sulphate hydrate (CePO4)2(HPO4)0.74(SO4)0.26 · 4,74 H2O for alkalimetal ions and ammoniumions in absolute methanol at 25°C for the case of a small excess of the exchanger (in relation to the equivalent amount) is given by K+ > Rb+ ≥ NH4+ > Cs+ > Na+ > Li+. Between the exchange capacity A of these cations and their ionic radii r (given by Ladd) exists the simple relation A = const./r. For Na+ the radius of the inner hydration shell must be considered. In absolute dimethyl-sulphoxide under the same conditions the sequence is K+ ≥ NH4 > Rb+ > Na+ > Cs+ > Li+. For K+, NH4, Rb+ and Cs+ the exchange capacity is given by A = const./r + const. · r4. The sequences of the alkali ions in both solvents are among the group of 13 sequences which are physicaly significant according to EISENMANNS 's theory. The results are compared with the observations made with water as solvent.  相似文献

Water self-diffusion and ion mobilities in various ionic forms (H+, Li+, Na+, Rb+, Cs+, and Ba2+) of perfluorinated sulfocationic membranes MF-4SK were studied by NMR and impedance spectroscopy. When degrees of hydration are low, the self-diffusion coefficients of water and ionic conductivities are considerably affected by the water content of the membrane. The self-diffusion coefficients decrease in the order H+ > Ba2+ > Cs+ > Rb+ > Na+ > Li+, whereas the ion mobility decreases in the order H+ > Li+ > Na+ > Cs+ > Ba2+.  相似文献

Chiral α,ω-diesters react under high-pressure conditions (10 kbar) with α,ω-diamines to give chiral cyclic tetraamides of C2-symmetry. The complexation properties of tetraamides towards alkali metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+) were estimated on the basis of ESI-MS spectra.  相似文献

The selectivity of eight lariat crown ethers in the sym‐dibenzo‐16‐crown‐5 series toward alkali metal ions was studied with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry under different conditions. With the exception of 2g , which is equally selective toward Na+ and Li+, all other lariat crown ethers show the best selectivity toward Li+ in methanol. Factors that influence the selectivity include the water content, counterions, nature of the side arms, and the externally added cations. Iodide gives the best Na+ selectivity with RI > RBr > RCl. Increased water content profoundly increases the Na+ selectivity when the side arm is hydrophilic and the steric hindrance is small. Externally added cations (Cs+ and/or Rb+) enhance the Na+ selectivity by exchanging the smaller Li+ from the cavity.  相似文献

Alkali cation transport is studied using proton-ionizable macrocycle carriers of the 4-hydroxypyridine and pyridone types in a bulk H2OCH2Cl2H2O liquid membrane system as a function of source and receiving phase pH. A pyridone crown-6 type macrocycle containing an octyl substituent (3) transports Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ from MOH solutions by a proton-coupled mechanism in which no co-anion is transported. In these cases, alkali cation transport increases exponentially with increasing source phase pH above pH 12. Generally, alkali cation transport at source phase pH 14 is higher when nitric acid is present (receiving pH = 1.5) than when it is absent. In competitive transport experiments with macrocycle 3 involving K+) and one other alkali cation M+, K+ is transported selectively over M+ by 4.6 (Na+), 2.7 (Rb+) and 6.3 (Cs+) fold when the source and receiving phase pH values are 14 and 7, respectively.  相似文献

A density functional theory based on interaction of alkali metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+) with cyclic peptides constructed from 3 or 4 alanine molecule (CyAla3 and CyAla4), has been investigated using mixed basis set (C, H, O, Li+, Na+ and K+ using 6-31+G(d), and the heavier cations: Rb+ and Cs+ using LANL2DZ). The minimum energy structures, binding energies, and various thermodynamic parameters of free ligands and their metal cations complexes have been determined with B3LYP and CAM-B3LYP functionals. The order of interaction energies were found to be Li> K> Na> Rb> Cs+ and Li> Na> K? Rb> Cs+, calculated at CAM-B3LYP level for the M/CyAla3 and M/CyAla4 complexes, respectively. Their selectivity trend shows that the highest cation selectivity for Li+ over other alkali metal ions has been achieved on the basis of thermodynamic analysis. The main types of driving force host–guest interactions are investigated, the electron-donating O offers lone pair electrons to the contacting LP* of alkali metal cations.  相似文献

Ladders of relative alkali ion affinities of crown ethers and acyclic analogs were constructed by using the kinetic method. The adducts consisting of two different ethers bound by an alkali metal ion, (M1 + Cat + M2)+, were formed by using fast atom bombardment ionization to desorb the crown ethers and alkali metal ions, then collisionally activated to induce dissociation to (M1 + Cat)+ and (M2 + Cat)+ ions. Based on the relative abundances of the cationized ethers formed, orders of relative alkali ion affinities were assigned. The crown ethers showed higher affinities for specific sizes of metal ions, and this was attributed in part to the optimal spatial fit concept. Size selectivities were more pronounced for the smaller alkali metal ions such as Li+, Na+, and K+ than the larger ions such as Cs+ and Rb+. In general, the cyclic ethers exhibited greater alkali metal ion affinities than the corresponding acyclic analogs, although these effects were less dramatic as the size of the alkali metal ion increased.  相似文献

Thallium hexacyanoferrate films have been prepared from various aqueous electrolyte solutions using consecutive cyclic voltammetry. The cyclic voltammograms recorded the direct deposition of thallium hexacyanoferrate films from the mixing of Tl3+ and [Fe(CN)6]3? ions from solutions of seven cations: Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, H+, and Tl+. An electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) and cyclic voltammetry were used to study the in situ growth of the thallium hexacyanoferrate films. The thallium hexacyanoferrate film shows a single redox couple with a formal potential between +0.6 V and +1.2 V, and shows a cation effect (H+, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, and Tl+). A mixed film and a two‐layered modified electrodes composed of a thallium hexacyanoferrate film with cobalt(II) hexacyanoferrate film were prepared.  相似文献

A series of nanoporous carbon nitrides that contained a range of alkali metal cations (M@nanoC3N4: M=Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+) have been successfully synthesized from as‐synthesized g‐C3N4 by delamination with concentrated sulfuric acid, followed by neutralization with aqueous solutions of the corresponding alkali metal hydroxides. Tris(2,2′‐bipyridine)ruthenium(II) complexes, [Ru(bpy)3]2+, were grafted onto the carbon nitrides in an effort to explore the physicochemical properties of the deposited [Ru(bpy)3]2+, as well as its photocatalytic activity in the aerobic photooxidation of phenylboronic acid and H2 production from aqueous media in the presence of a Pt co‐catalyst under visible‐light irradiation. Highly porous nanoC3N4 could significantly enhance photocatalytic activity, because of its high surface area, owing to its unique porous structure. More interestingly, the photoluminescence intensities of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ complexes that were associated with M@nanoC3N4 increased in the presence of lighter alkali metal cations, which correlated with increased photocatalytic activities for both reactions. This study demonstrates that M@nanoC3N4 are fascinating supports, in which the local environment of an immobilized metal complex can be precisely controlled by varying the alkali metal cation from Li+ to Cs+.  相似文献

The synthesis and complexive abilities of 5,11,17-tris(tert-butyl)-23 amino-25,26,27,28-tetra-propoxycalix[4]arene towards alkali cations Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+ and alkali earth cations Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ in methanol-chloroform mixture have been evaluated at 25°C, using UV-Vis spectrophotometric techniques. The results showed that the ligand is capable to complex with all the cations by 1: 1 metal to ligand ratios. The selectivity presented considering the calculated formation constants are in the order Li+ > Na+ > K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ and Mg2+ > Ca2+ > Sr2+ > Ba2+ with the ligand.  相似文献

Binaphthyl‐based crown ethers incorporating anthraquinone, benzoquinone, and 1,4‐dimethoxybezene have been synthesized and tested for Rb+ selective ionophores in the poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane. The membrane containing NPOE gave a better Rb+ selectivity than those containing either DOA or BPPA as a plasticizer. The response was linear within the concentration range of 1.0×10?5–1.0×10?1 M and the slope was 54.7±0.5 mV/dec. The detection limit was determined to be 9.0×10?6 M and the optimum pH range of the membrane was 6.0–9.0. The ISE membrane exhibits good selectivity for Rb+ over ammonium, alkali metal, and alkaline earth metal ions. Selectivity coefficients for the other metal ions, log KPot were ?2.5 for Li+, ?2.4 for Na+, ?2.0 for H+, ?1.0 for K+, ?1.2 for Cs+, ?1.6 for NH4+, ?4.5 for Mg2+, ?5.0 for Ca2+,?4.9 for Ba2+. The lifetime of the membrane was about one month.  相似文献

The characteristics properties of xanthone phosphorescence and of 2-pentanone photolysis in alkali metal cation-exchanged zeolites have been investigated to clarify the effect of the micro-environment of host-adsorbents on the photophysical and photochemical properties of guest-molecules in restricted void spaces. The enhancement of the phosphorescence yields of xanthone included in zeolites is observed by changing the exchangeablealkali metal cation from Li+ to Cs+. Simultaneously, the phosphorescence lifetimes were observed to continuously shorten by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. These results suggest that the external heavy-atom effect deriving from the alkali metal cations on the singlet-triplet transitions of xanthone molecules stabilized on alkali metal cations in the order of Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+. The yields for the photolysis of 2-pentanone included in zeolites increase with changing the alkali metal cation from Li+ to Cs+. IR investigations of the adsorption state of 2-pentanone indicate that strength of the interaction between the alkali metal cations and 2-pentanones decreases by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+, which results in a longer lifetime of 2-pentanone. The selectivity of propylene formation is dramatically increased by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. The enhanced formation of propylene is asociated with the hydrogen absorption from propyl radicals by lattice oxygen, their basicity increasing by changing the cation from Li+ to Cs+. Thus, these changes in the zeolite cavities modified by exchanging cations caused significant effects not only on the excited state but also on the following chemical reactions of ketones.  相似文献

ACE was applied to the quantitative evaluation of noncovalent binding interactions between benzo‐18‐crown‐6‐ether (B18C6) and several alkali metal ions, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+, in a mixed binary solvent system, methanol–water (50/50 v/v). The apparent binding (stability) constants (Kb) of B18C6–alkali metal ion complexes in the hydro‐organic medium above were determined from the dependence of the effective electrophoretic mobility of B18C6 on the concentration of alkali metal ions in the BGE using a nonlinear regression analysis. Before regression analysis, the mobilities measured by ACE at ambient temperature and variable ionic strength of the BGE were corrected by a new procedure to the reference temperature, 25°C, and the constant ionic strength, 10 mM . In the 50% v/v methanol–water solvent system, like in pure methanol, B18C6 formed the strongest complex with potassium ion (log Kb=2.89±0.17), the weakest complex with cesium ion (log Kb=2.04±0.20), and no complexation was observed between B18C6 and the lithium ion. In the mixed methanol–water solvent system, the binding constants of the complexes above were found to be about two orders lower than in methanol and about one order higher than in water.  相似文献

DNA and its conformational transition can be used to design nanometer-scale structures, nano-tweezers and nanomechanical devices. Experiments and molecular simulations have been used to study the concentration effect on the A-DNA→B-DNA conformational transition, but a systematical investigation on counterion effect on the dynamics of this transition has not been reported up to now. In present work, restrained and unrestrained molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have been performed to characterize the stability of DNA conformations and the dynamics of A-DNA→B-DNA transitions in aqueous solutions with different alkali metal counterions. The DNA duplex d(CGCGAATTCGCG)2, coion Cl? and counterions Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ as well as water molecule were considered using the PARM99 force field in the AMBER8 package. It was found that B-form DNA is more stable than A-form DNA in aqueous electrolyte solutions with different alkali metal counterions. Increasing KCl concentration in solution hinders the A-DNA→B-DNA transition and the transition times for different alkali metal counterions conform to neither the simple sequence related to naked ion size nor to hydrated diameter, but an apparently abnormal sequence of K+ < Rb+ < Cs+ < Na+ < Li+. This abnormal sequence can be well understood in terms of an electrostatic model based on the effective cation diameters and the modified mean-spherical approximation (MMSA). The present results provide valuable information for the design of DNA-based nanomaterials and nanodevices.  相似文献

The collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra of glycoside–alkali metal adduct ions [M + C]+ (C = Li, Na, K and Rb) produced under fast atom bombardment (FAB) conditions are reported. The results obtained suggested that the CID spectra of the [M + C]+ ions of some flavonoid glycosides reflect the coordination structures because the CID patterns generally changed with the metal cation size. In diglycosides, the CID spectra showed that the relatively small cations Li+ and Na+ rather bind to the sugar moiety, whereas the large cations K+ and Rb+ rather bind to the aglycone moiety. In monoglycosides, the cations C+ rather bind to the aglycone moiety. It was concluded that the CID technique combined with FAB is useful for the structural elucidation of [M + C]+ ions and, in principle, the CID spectra reflect the coordination structures in the gas phase.  相似文献
