There have been many studies of viscous compressible gas flow in wakes and behind steps [1–6] in which attention has been focused on the steady-state flow regime. The problem of the supersonic flow of a viscous compressible heat-conducting gas past a plain backward-facing step is considered. The problem is solved numerically within the framework of the complete system of Navier-Stokes equations. The passage of the solution from the initial data to the steady-state regime and the effect of the gas dynamic parameters of the external flow on the characteristic flow stabilization time are investigated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 137–140, July–August, 1989.  相似文献

Charging of disperse particles with good conduction in two-phase media with unipolar charge is considered in the case when the volume concentration of the particles is low. For this, in the framework of electrohydro-dynamics [1, 2], a study is made of the charge of one perfectly conducting liquid particle in a gas (or liquid) with unipolar charge in a fairly strong electric field. The influence of the inertial and electric forces on the motion of the gas is ignored, and the velocities are found by solving the Hadamard—Rybczynski problem. We consider the axisymmetric case when the gas velocity and electric field intensity far from the particle are parallel to a straight line. The analogous problem for a solid spherical particle was solved in [3–6] (in [3], the relative motion of the gas was ignored, while in [4–6] Stokes flow around the particle was considered). The two-dimensional problem of the charge of a solid circular, perfectly conducting cylinder in an irrotational flow of gas with unipolar charge was studied in [7].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 108–115, November–December, 1980.We thank L. I. Sedov and V. V. Gogosov for a helpful discussion of the present work.  相似文献

A study is made of two-dimensional transonic flows of gas around an airfoil in the working part of a wind tunnel with porous walls. The values of the flow parameters are determined by the numerical solution of a boundary-value problem for the equation of the velocity potential; this problem simulates the gas flow around the profile in the tunnel with porous walls. The obtained results are then used to construct an asymptotic theory of the influence of the wind-tunnel height and the Mach number M of the flow in it on the characteristics of the flow around the airfoil.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 99–107, September–October, 1980.  相似文献

The subsonic flow of an ideal compressible gas around the rear end of a semiinfinite flat plate in a pipe is considered. The flow pattern is similar to that assumed by Efros [1, 2] with a return stream for the cavitational flows. Fal'kovich's method [3] is used to solve the problem and this makes it possible to obtain the solution to the problems of the gas streams at several typical velocities. The method is a generalization of that of Chaplygin [4] for flow problems at one typical velocity.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 101–108, July–August, 1970.  相似文献

We consider the problem of a hypersonic viscous flow of a nonreactive mixture of ideal gases around smooth thick bodies in the framework of a two-layer model of a thin shock layer for moderately small Reynolds numbers. We investigate the effect of blowing of a foreign gas through a permeable surface in the bow region of a spherical blunt body. We introduce a transformation of variables that gives a number of important advantages in the numerical solution of the problem under consideration. The problem of mass blowing from the surface of a body into a boundary layer has an extensive literature. The effect of blowing for moderately small Reynolds numbers has been considerably less studied [1–5], and in the majority of papers on this question either the critical point of a blunt body or the blowing of a gas homogeneous with the gas in the incoming flow is investigated.Moscow. Theoretical study of a three-dimensional laminar boundary layer is a complex problem, but it can be substantially simplified in certain particular cases and even reduced to the solution of ordinary differential equations. One such particular case is the flow of a compressible gas on a streamline in conical external flow. The case is of considerable practical importance because the local heat fluxes may take extremal values on such lines.Such flow, except for the conical case, has been examined [1–4], and an approximate method has been given [1] on the basis of integral relationships and a special form for the approximating functions. A numerical solution has been given [2, 3] for such flow around an infinite cylinder. It was assumed in [1–3] that the Prandtl number and the specific heats were constant, and that the dynamic viscosity was proportional to temperature. Heat transfer has been examined [4] near a cylinder exposed to a flow of dissociated air. Here we give results from numerical solution of a system of ordinary differential equations for the flow of a compressible gas in a laminar boundary layer on streamlines in conical external flow, with or without influx or withdrawal of a homogeneous gas. It is assumed that the gas is perfect and that the dynamic viscosity has a power-law temperature dependence.  相似文献

The present study will consider the problem of formation of a nonstationary flow of a viscous, thermally conductive gas around a semiinfinite plate, with the gas being set in motion instantaneously from a state of rest (problem I) and behind a shock wave incident upon the gas (problem H). A numerical method will be used, based on integration of the complete system of Navier-Stokes equations. Special attention is given in the solution to these times when the simplifying assumptions of boundary layer theory are invalid.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 167–171, November–December, 1978.The authors thank Yu. Several papers [1–4] have proposed approximate diffusion models which can be used to examine the transport process in a rarefied gas where the mean free path is large and transport is not determined by the local gradient of the particular quantity. In this paper the integral diffusion model [2] is used to solve the problem of determination of the friction stress and velocity of a flow of an incompressible gas around a plane semi-infinite plate in the whole range of Knudsen numbers. The obtained solution is compared with published solutions and experimental data [9].  相似文献

Supersonic flow around a blunt body by an ideal gas with a constant specific heat ratio is considered. The dependence of the geometry of the subsonic section of the shock wave on the shape of the body and the freestream Mach number is studied. Analysis of the large quantity of numerical data has permitted simple approximate relations to be formulated for the principal geometrical parameters of the wave, which can be used for solving the problem of flow around a quite broad class of bodies. The question of the characteristic dimensions in such problems is also discussed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 77–83, July–August, 1976.In conclusion, the author expresses his thanks to V. N. Ivanova for carrying out the calculations and to é. é. Shnol' for for several useful comments.  相似文献

The effect of the shape of a blunt nose of a body located in a hypersonic rarefied gas flow on the field of flow and on the aerodynamic characteristics is studied in the example of flow round ellipsoids of revolution at a zero angle of attack. The problem of the flow in the transition regime is solved on the basis of numerical analysis of the model kinetic Bhatnagar—Gross—Krook (BGK) equation for a monatomic gas. The good agreement of the results of the numerical calculations with the experimental data in a broad range of Mach numbers has shown [1, 2] that the numerical solution of the model kinetic equations is a reliable and effective means for studying flow problems. In the case when the problem is posed of determining the laws of the purely force interaction of a flow with the body, sufficiently good accuracy is given by the use of the model BGK equation.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 190–192, March–April, 1985.  相似文献

Supersonic nonuniform gas flow over blunt bodies without surface injection has previously been investigated by both numerical [1–3] and experimental [3] methods. The processes of surface vaporization under the influence of an intense heat flux, artificial gas injection and surface combustion [4] are all worthy of study. The problem of the interaction between a nonuniform supersonic flow and a body in the presence of intense gas injection from the surface is examined and an analytical solution is constructed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 126–134, November–December, 1989.  相似文献

The results of solution of the self-similar problem of planar flow of gas through a porous medium in the case of a quadratic law of resistance [1] are generalized to the case of axisymmetric motion. The equation in similarity variables for the velocity of isothermal gas flow is reduced to an equation having cylindrical functions as solution. Analytic dependences of the pressure and the gas velocity on the coordinate and time are obtained for a given flow rate of the gas at the coordinate origin and for zero Initial gas pressure in the porous medium.Translated from Izvestlya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza., No. 4, pp. 168–171, July–August, 1982.  相似文献

The method of mergeable asymptotic expansions has recently been used effectively in investigations devoted to the study of boundary layer interaction with an external inviscid flow at high subcritical Reynolds numbers Re. The asymptotic analysis permits obtaining a limit pattern of the flow around a solid as Re þ, and determining the similarity and quantitative regularity laws which are in good agreement with experimental results. Thus by using the method of mergeable asymptotic expansions it is shown in [1–4] that near sites with high local curvature of the body contour and flow separation and attachment points, an interaction domain appears that has a small length on the order of Re-3/8. In this flow domain, which has a three-layer structure, the pressure distribution in a first approximation already depends on the change in boundary-layer displacement thickness, while the induced pressure gradient, in turn, influences the flow in the boundary layer. An analogous situation occurs in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate where an interaction domain also appears [5, 6]. The flow in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate around which a supersonic viscous gas flows was examined in [7]. Numerical results in this paper show that the friction stress on the plate surface remains positive everywhere in the interaction domain, and grows on approaching the trailing edge. The supersonic flow around the trailing edge of a flat plate at a small angle of attack was investigated in [8, 9], Supersonic flow of a viscous gas in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate at zero angle of attack is examined in [10], but with different velocity values in the inviscid part of the flow on the upper and lower sides of the plate. The more general problem of the flow around the trailing edge of a profile with small relative thickness is investigated in this paper.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 3, pp. 36–42, May–June, 1981.  相似文献

A method of characteristics is developed for the numerical solution of kinetic equations in the case of fully developed plane-parallel motions of a gas. A solution is given to the problem of flow around a plate arranged normal to an oncoming supersonic flow. The results of the calculations are in satisfactory agreement with existing experimental data.Moscow. Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR. A study is made of the three-dimensional flow of a viscous gas around a flat plate with an inflection in the generator of the leading edge in the case of strong interaction between the exterior hypersonic flow and the boundary layer. Numerical solutions to the problem are obtained. It is shown that near points of inflection of the profile of the leading edge of a flat wing strong self-induced secondary flows can be formed together with associated local peaks of the heat fluxes and the friction.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 40–45, May–June, 1980.  相似文献

The problem of rigid-body motion in an unsteady gas flow is considered using a flow model [1] in which the motion of the body is described by a system of integrodifferential equations. The case in which among the characteristic exponents of the fundamental system of solutions of the linearized equations there are not only negative but also one zero exponent is analyzed. The instability conditions established with respect to the second-order terms on the right sides of the equations are noted. The problem may be regarded as a generalization of the problem of the lateral instability of an airplane in the critical case solved by Chetaev [2], pp. 407–408.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 18–22, May–June, 1989.  相似文献

The flow around the afterbody of a plate of finite thickness in a supersonic gas stream is investigated on the basis of a numerical solution of the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations for a compressible viscous heat-conducting gas. The change in the flow pattern with the onset of transverse slot injection from the body surface in the vicinity of the base section is studied. For constant supersonic injection, both steady and unsteady flow regimes could be obtained depending on the values of certain relevant parameters.Moscow. A small-parameter method is widely used today for solving many problems of aerodynamics. It has made it possible to obtain results which are interesting from the practical point of view. In particular, it has helped to solve a problem dealing with a substantially three-dimensional field of flow around a wing with finite wingspread past which a gas is flowing at supersonic speed [1]. However, in the problem of flow past solids of revolution, certain difficulties have been encountered in the application of the method. In the present paper, within the framework of the theory of small perturbations, we consider a method for obtaining a solution in which these difficulties can be avoided. We obtain simple analytic expressions for the aerodynamic characteristics of solids of revolution in a supersonic stream of gas. We give a comparison of the results with experimental data and with calculations carried out by the method of characteristics.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 99–106, November–December, 1977.In conclusion, the authors wish to thank V. The two-phase flow of liquid films are often encountered in practice, but the number of theoretical papers devoted to this problem is limited. The problem of the linear stability of a viscous liquid film subjected to a gas flow has been formulated in [1] and, in somewhat different form, in [2]. The linear stability of plane-parallel motion in films has been studied analytically in [1–8] for some limiting cases. The range of validity of the analytic approaches remains an open question. Therefore, an exact numerical analysis of flow stability over a fairly broad range is required. In the present paper a separate solution of the problem for the gas and the liquid is shown to be possible. The Orr-Sommerfeld equation has been integrated numerically, and the results are compared to the results of analytic calculations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 143–146, January–February, 1976.The author is grateful to É. The wave flow of a thin layer of viscous liquid in conjunction with a flow of gas was considered in a linear formulation earlier [1, 2]. In this paper the problem of the wave flow of a liquid film together with a gas flow is solved in a nonlinear setting. On this basis relationships are derived for calculating the parameters of the film and the hydrodynamic quantities.Ivanovo.
