The effect of dust size distribution in ultracold quantum dusty plasmas are investigated in this paper. How the dispersion relation and the propagation velocity for the quantum dusty plasma vary with the system parameters and the different dust distribution are studied. It is found that as the Fermi temperature of the dust grains increases the frequency of the wave increases for large wave number dust acoustic wave. The quantum parameter of Hd also increases the frequency of the large wave number dust acoustic wave. It is also found that the frequency ω0 and the propagation velocity v0 of quantum dust acoustic waves all increase as the total number density increases. They are greater for unusual dusty plasmas than those of the usual dusty plasma.  相似文献

The electrodynamics and dispersion properties of a magnetized dusty plasma containing elongated and rotating charged dust grains are examined. Starting from an appropriate Lagrangian for dust grains, a kinetic equation for the dust grain and the corresponding equations of motion are derived. Expressions for the dust charge and dust current densities are obtained with the finite size (the dipole moment) of elongated and rotating dust grains taken into account. These charge and current densities are combined with the Maxwell-Vlasov system of equations to derive dispersion relations for the electromagnetic and electrostatic waves in a dusty magnetoplasma. The dispersion relations are analyzed to demonstrate that the dust grain rotation introduces new classes of instabilities involving various low-frequency waves in a dusty magnetoplasma. Examples of various unstable low-frequency waves include the electron whistler, the dust whistler, dust cyclotron waves, AlfvÉn waves, electromagnetic ion-cyclotron waves, as well as lower-hybrid, electrostatic ion cyclotron, modified dust ion-acoustic waves, etc. Also found is a new type of unstable waves whose frequency is close to the dust grain rotation frequency. The present results should be useful in understanding the properties of low-frequency waves in cosmic and laboratory plasmas that are embedded in an external magnetic field and contain elongated and rotating charged dust grains.  相似文献

采用流体动力学方程组和尘埃充电方程组成的自洽模型系统,对量子尘埃等离子体中的尘埃声波波动性质进行了研究。通过线性理论分析方法得到系统的尘埃声波波动方程及其色散关系,并对色散关系进行了数值分析。研究表明:充电效应定性地修正了尘埃声波的色散特性,引起尘埃声波的耗散,其耗散强度主要与尘埃等离子体的参数有关。最后,分析了引起尘埃声波耗散的物理原因。  相似文献

The physical and optical properties of plasmas are depended on dynamics of species in the discharge volume. Then, the presence of an electron beam, as a separate component, in a dusty plasma can modify the plasma structures through altering the discharge parameters. In this report, the linear propagation of acoustic modes in a collisionless dusty plasma contains electrons, ions and charged dust grains is investigated in the presence of an electron beam. Our analysis indicates that the electron beam can modify the dispersion relations of dust acoustic modes which resulted different data transportation in dusty plasmas. The obtained results are also examined for negative and positive charged dust grains with different number densities. The charge of dust grains represents an important role in the dynamics of the low frequency waves. Additionally, our findings reveal that the propagation of acoustic waves in dusty plasmas can be controlled by adjusting the electron number density of the beam and the cathode potential. Lastly, we obtian the destabilizing effects, originated from dust charge fluctuation, by reconsidering the dispersion relations of both dust acoustic modes.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust acoustic solitary waves in a magnetized dusty plasma with nonthermal ions and variable dust electric charge is studied analytically. Using reductive perturbation method the Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is derived and effect of nonthermal coefficient, external magnetic field, and variable dust electric charge on the amplitude and width of soliton in dusty plasma is investigated. With increasing the rate of dust charge variation with respect of plasma potential, the amplitude of generated solitary waves in magnetized dusty plasma increases to a constant magnitude while its width decreases. Increasing the nonthermal ions coefficient leads to a noticeable decrease in the amplitude of solitons while the width of soliton increases. The amplitude of generated solitary waves in such a dusty plasma is independent of applied external magnetic field but we will have more localized solitons with increasing the external magnetic field strength. Propagation of both low and high frequency waves in a plasma consisting of electrons, ions, positrons and charged dust particles have been theoretically studied. The characteristics of dust acoustic wave propagating through the plasma has been analysed and the dispersion relation deduced is a generalization of that obtained by previous authors. It is found that nonlinear localization of high frequency electromagnetic field in such a plasma generates magnetic field. This magnetic field is seen to depend on the temperatures of electrons and positrons and also on their equilibrium density ratio. It is suggested that the present model would be applicable to find the magnetic field generation in space plasma.  相似文献

Some properties of nonlinear dust acoustic waves in magnetized dusty plasma with variable charges by reductive perturbation technique have been studied. The effect of adiabatic dust charge variations under the assumption that the ratio of dust charging time to the dust hydrodynamical time is very small, and the nonadiabatic dust charges variations under the assumption that the same ratio is small but finite, are also incorporated. It is seen that the magnetic field and the dust charge variations significantly modify the wave amplitude. It is also seen that in case of adiabatic charge variations, the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation governs the nonlinear dust acoustic wave, whereas in case of nonadiabatic dust charge variations, the wave is governed by the KdV Burger equation. Nonadiabaticity generated anomalous dissipative effect causes generation of the dust acoustic shock wave. Numerical integration of KdV Burger equation shows that the dust acoustic wave admits oscillatory (dispersion dominant) or monotone (dissipation dominant) shock solutions depending on the magnitude of the coefficient of the Burger term  相似文献

The effects of the dust size distribution in ultracold quantum dusty plasmas are investigated. The amplitude φm and width ω of quantum dust acoustic waves are studied with different dust size distributions in the system. The φm and ω of the quantum dust acoustic waves are found to increase as the total number density increases. The φm and ω are greater for unusual dusty plasmas than for typical dusty plasmas. Moreover, as the Fermi temperature of the dust grains increases, the φm of the wave decreases. The ω of quantum dust acoustic waves increases as the speed u0 of the wave increases.  相似文献

This paper investigates the propagation of linear dust acoustic waves in inhomogeneous dusty plasmas due to spatial gradients of dust charge, plasma densities. A linear dispersion relation is obtained with the non-adiabatic dust charge iguctuation and the non-thermally distributed ions. The numerical results show that the inhomogeneity, nonthermal ions and non-adlabatic dust charge iguctuatlon have strong iniguence on the frequency and the damping rate of waves.  相似文献

研究了小的有限振幅的无磁场尘埃等离子体中的非线性波.在一维情况下由Kortewegde Veries(KdV)方程来描述,考虑了二维情况下尘埃等离子体中尘埃颗粒上电荷的变化效应以及双温度离子效应后,尘埃等离子体受到横向高阶扰动后动力学方程由Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(KP)方程来描述.在此基础上,研究了以任意夹角传播的两个及三个孤立子的相互作用问题,考虑非线性效应后振幅相等的双孤立子在相互作用区域内振幅最大值是单个孤立子振幅的4倍,振幅相等的三孤立子在相互作用区域内振幅最大值是单个孤立子振幅的9倍.研究还表明波的传播方向受到横向高阶扰动后是稳定的.  相似文献

Both linear and nonlinear excitation in dusty plasmas have been investigated including the nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation and Gaussian size distribution dust particles. A linear dispersion relation and a Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation governing the dust acoustic shock waves are obtained. The relevance of the instability of wave and the wave evolution to the dust size distribution and nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation is illustrated both analytically and numerically. The numerical results show that the Gaussian size distribution of dust particles and the nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation have strong common influence on the propagation of both linear and nonlinear excitations.  相似文献

For the sake of investigating the drift coherent vortex structure in an inhomogeneous dense dusty magnetoplasma,using the quantum hydrodynamic model a nonlinear controlling equation is deduced when the collision effect is considered.New vortex solutions of the electrostatic potential are obtained by a special transformation method, and three evolutive cases of monopolar vortex chains with spatial and temporal distribution are analyzed by representative parameters. It is found that the collision frequency, particle density, drift velocity, dust charge number, electron Fermi wavelength, quantum correction,and quantum parameter are all influencing factors of the vortex evolution. Compared to the uniform dusty system, the vortex solutions of the inhomogeneous system present richer spatial evolution and physical meaning. These results may explain corresponding vortex phenomena and support beneficial references for the dense dusty plasma atmosphere.  相似文献

从理论上研究了非热离子、外部磁场、碰撞对非均匀热尘埃等离子体中三维非线性尘埃声孤波的影响。运用约化摄动法得到描述三维非线性尘埃声孤波的非标准的变系数Korteweg-de Vries(KdV)方程。然后把非标准KdV方程变为标准的变系数KdV方程,并且得到了标准的变系数KdV方程的近似解析解。由此解析解可以看出,非热离子的数目、碰撞、非均匀性、波的斜向传播、尘埃颗粒和非热离子的温度对三维非线性尘埃声孤波的振幅和宽度有很大的影响。外部磁场对三维非线性尘埃声孤波的宽度有影响,而对其振幅没有影响。此外,波的相速度与非热离子、波的斜向传播、尘埃颗粒的温度和非均匀性有关。  相似文献

The quantum hydrodynamic model is employed to study the nonlinear structure of non-planar dust acoustic waves in quantum dusty plasmas consisting of electrons, ions, and negatively/positively charged dust particles. A Kadomstev-Petviashvili equation is derived in cylindrical geometry. Based on the analytical solution, it is found that the Nebulon structure is significantly modified by the quantum effects including quantum diffraction effect and quantum statistical effect.  相似文献

Previous considerations of dust acoustic waves is demonstrated to be inconsistent ‐ the required equilibrium state for perturbations was not defined since balance of plasma fluxes was neglecting. The self‐consistent treatment shows that plasma flux perturbations are accompanying any collective waves propagating in dusty plasmas and can play an important role in wave dispersion, wave damping and can create instabilities. This is illustrated by the derivation of dispersion relation for dust acoustic modes taking into account the plasma flux balances and plasma flux perturbations by waves. The result of this approach shows that the dust acoustic waves with linear dependence of wave frequency on the wave number exist only in restricted range of the wave numbers. Only for wave numbers larger than some critical wave number for low frequency modes the frequency can be have approximately a linear dependence on wave number and can be called as dust acoustic wave but the phase velocity of these waves is different from that which can be obtained neglecting the flux balance and depends on grain charge variations which are determined by the balance of fluxes. The presence of plasma fluxes previously neglected is the main typical feature of dusty plasmas. The dispersion relation in the range of small wave numbers is found to be mainly determined by the change of the plasma fluxes and is quite different from that of dust acoustic type, namely it is found to have the same form as the well known dispersion relation for the gravitational instability. This result proves in general way the existence of the collective grain attractions of negatively charged grains for for large distances between them and for any source of ionization. The attraction of grains found from dispersion relation of the dust acoustic branch coincides with that found previously for pair grain interactions using some models for the ionization source. For the existing experiments the effective Jeans length for such attraction is estimated to be about 8 – 10 times larger than the ion Debye length and the effective gravitational constant for the grain attraction is estimated to be several orders of magnitude larger than the usual gravitational constant. The grain attraction at large inter‐grain distances described by the gravitationlike grain instability is considered as the simplest explanation for observed dust cloud clustering, formation of dust structures including the plasma crystals. The nonlinear electrostatic drift waves are studied using quantum hydrodynamic model in dusty quantum magnetoplasmas. The dissipative effects due to collisions between ions and dust particles have also been taken into account. The Korteweg-de Vries Burgers (KdVB) like equation is derived and analytical solution is obtained using tanh method. The limiting cases of KdV type solitary waves, Burger type monotonic shock waves and oscillatory shock solutions are also presented. It is found that both hump and dip type solitary structures are possible in quantum dusty plasmas. However, amplitude and width of the nonlinear structure depend on the dust charge polarity and its concentration in electron-ion quantum plasmas. The monotonic shock like structure is independent of the quantum parameter. It is found that shock strength is increased in the presence of positively charged particles in comparison with negatively charged dust particles. The oscillatory shock structures are also obtained and it is found that change in dust charge polarity only shifts the phase of the oscillatory shock in plasmas. The nonlinear dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasmas with the combined effects of non-adiabatic dust charge fluctuation and higher-order transverse perturbation are studied. Using the perturbation method, a Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) Burgers equation that governing the dust acoustic waves is deduced for the first time. A particular solution of this KP Burgers equation is also obtained. The problem of nonlinear variable charge dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasma with trapped ions is revisited. The correct non-isothermal ion charging current is presented for the first time based on the orbit motion limited (OML) approach. The variable dust charge is then expressed in terms of the Lambert function and we take advantage of this new transcendental function to investigate nonlinear localized dust acoustic waves in a charge varying dusty plasma with trapped ions more rigorously.  相似文献
