One of the main challenges in all-optical WDM networks is the problem of Routing and Wavelength Assignment (RWA). In large-scale networks with heavy traffic load, distributed RWA is more suitable than centralized RWA. One of the distributed algorithms proposed recently is Distributed Lightpath Allocation (DLA) [1]. We use the DLA as our basic algorithm to design a new congestion-aware RWA algorithm, called Least-Congested Distributed Lightpath Allocation (LC-DLA). We consider congestion in the network as a decision point for solving RWA. Selection of the least congested path among available paths from source to destination can improve the blocking probability of the network. Fairness is one of the crucial metrics that network designers should consider. We define a new concept for fairness in RWA. Our performance evaluations show that LC-DLA can provide good blocking and fairness performances in WDM networks.  相似文献

在传统的网络路由算法中,一般采用最短路径算法进行路由选路,最短路径算法以节点间的距离为权重,计算一条由源节点至目的节点的权重最小的路径以完成路由。最短路径算法虽然最小化了距离长度代价,却没有考虑能耗问题,所以使用最短路径算法所得出路径的能耗并不一定是最小的。针对这一问题,提出一种新型的综合性绿色路由算法,设定能耗作为节点间的权重,融合光旁路及业务量疏导,同时考虑路由和波长分配(RWA)问题,将完成每个业务所需要的能耗最小化,实现节能。仿真结果表明,与最短路径算法相比,绿色路由算法在较大规模网络中能够节省约40%的能耗,节能效果相当显著。  相似文献

We consider the routing and wavelength assignment problem on wavelength division multiplexing networks without wavelength conversion. When the physical network and required connections are given, routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) is the problem to select a suitable path and wavelength among the many possible choices for each connection such that no two paths using the same wavelength pass through the same link. In wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical networks, there is need to maximize the number of connections established and to minimize the blocking probability using limited resources. In this paper, we have proposed three dynamic link weight assignment strategies that change the link weight according to the traffic. The performance of the existing trend and the proposed strategies is shown in terms of blocking probability. The simulation results show that all the proposed strategies perform better than the existing trend.  相似文献

本文研究了在波长路由的智能光网络中选择路由与波长分配(RWA)过程中如何考虑非线性效应的影响.在简要分析了考虑非线性效应影响的必要性后,以交叉相位调制为例推导出了一种简单的计算非线性效应引起的光功率代价计算公式,并讨论了如何将其引入路由与波长分配算法中.仿真结果表明非线性效应确实对RWA的优化结果产生一定的影响,其程度与物理拓扑、业务需求和具体的网络传输参量有关.  相似文献

One type of such architecture is the optical circuit-switched polymorphic network (OCSPN), which combines optical circuit switching paradigms with different grades of dynamism. The performance of this network relies on the utilization of efficient routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) algorithms. In this paper, two static and three dynamic routing algorithms have been proposed and compared to some of the existing algorithms on the basis of blocking probability. The two proposed static routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) algorithms reduce the blocking probability to maximize the utilization of network. For dynamic algorithms, first a model with no weights assignments is presented and then three algorithms are proposed and analysed with weight assignment resulting in reduction of blocking probability. All these algorithms are analysed and compared with four wavelength assignment schemes which are first-fit, random, most used and least used. It is shown that our proposed static algorithms give the best performance for first-fit wavelength assignment and most used wavelength assignment strategies with reduced complexity. For least used wavelength assignment and random wavelength assignment, 1 fixed and 2 alternate routing algorithm gives the lowest blocking probability. For dynamic routing, it has been shown that our proposed algorithm “less weight to maximum empty and nearest” gives the least blocking probability as compared to the other dynamic routing algorithms for random, most used and least used wavelength assignment strategies.  相似文献

We consider the semiclassical theory of a collection of two level atoms interacting with a single mode electric field. In this model the in quantum optics usually applied RWA fails at high field intensities. It is shown that the theory without applying the RWA can lead to a chaotic behavior, which can be described by a parametrically forced pendulum equation. The dynamics become more and more complicated if the electric field is increased. For extremely high intensities we obtain again a regular behavior described by a pendulum equation with a modified potential. In this case the dynamics is greatly different from the results obtained within RWA.  相似文献

研究不同的路由和波长分配(RWA)方法对无波长变换WDM网络P圈优化性能的影响.提出了用负载均衡的方法对各波长层的工作容量进行均衡,以降低网络总容量.分别研究了动态分层通用RWA(DL-GRWA)、最短路径RWA(SP-RWA)、动态分层负载均衡(DL-LB)、最短路径负载均衡(SP-LB)、固定波长负载均衡(FW-LB)5种方法对网络总容量的影响.仿真发现,无论何种RWA方法,随着圈最大跳数限制的变大,网络总容量都逐渐降低,其中SP-LB方法所需要的网络总容量最小.  相似文献

Reaction wheel assemblies (RWAs) are a source of disturbance in satellites, and they are regarded as the largest jitter contributor in optical payloads. In order to ensure a stringent jitter requirement, the wheel disturbance effects on spacecraft should be predicted precisely prior to launch through analytical or experimental approaches. For this purpose, the wheel disturbance should be identified and modeled accurately. In the present study, a micro-vibration model of the RWA is introduced through coupling an analytical wheel model and an empirical disturbance model; furthermore, a parameter estimation process of the coupled model from the micro-vibration disturbance data is proposed. In order to verify the modeling and estimation techniques, a micro-vibration model of a numerical RWA is established and its estimation error is validated. Then, the micro-vibration model is extended to consider an axial disturbance and a measurement offset effect. Finally, the micro-vibration model is applied to a commercial RWA and the model parameters are extracted from the disturbance test data of the RWA using the parameter estimation process. The analytical and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed micro-vibration model and parameter estimation process are effective in the dynamic disturbance modeling of RWAs.  相似文献

A theoretical model is presented for the fast calculation of light scattering by transparent dielectric particles with sizes much larger than the wavelength. In this model, the light incident onto the particle and the light propagating inside the particle are represented by sets of rays while the scattered light is represented by a set of spherical waves emitted by different elements of the particle surface (ray-wave approximation, RWA). It is shown that RWA is comparable in precision with the discrete-dipole approximation but significantly exceeds the latter in the calculation rate for the particles with size parameters higher than 50.  相似文献

We consider the interaction of an ensemble of two level atoms with linearly polarized light. This problem is solved in terms of the well-known Bloch equations for various amplitudes of the incident light field without rotating-wave approximation (RWA). Closed-form solutions are obtained for small and very high electric field amplitudes. In the latter case severe deviations from the results obtained with RWA are observed.  相似文献

The derivation of the reduced width amplitude (RWA) in the reaction theory for composite particles is investigated. This is done in theα-decay theory without loss of generality for the basic expressions. We find that in a consistent theory we have to not only take into account the antisymmetrization—as it is usually done — but also to introduce a renormalization of our basis states due to the antisymmetrization. This cannot be done by a normalization constant, but by a well-defined normalization operator. As a result of this investigation we give a redefinition of the RWA. A rough estimate of the effect of this renormalization is presented. In a simplified oscillator model numerical values are given for the change in the RWA.  相似文献

We consider here the electromagnetic scattering by a long helical particle made from a thin (in comparison to the wavelength) wire. In contrast to several previous theoretical works, we adopt here the algorithm developed for scattering by a multi-layered fiber. The analytical eigenenergies and eigenstates of the Rabi model are obtained approximately based on a unitary transformation and a generalized rotating-wave approximation (GRWA). Using these analytical expressions without the rotating wave approximation (RWA), we generalize the definition of the physical emission spectrum valid with the RWA in order to meet without the RWA with some modifications. Taking into account the counter-rotating wave terms and the intercrossing of energy level in the strong coupling regime, the physical emission spectrum of qubit is investigated. Different from the case with RWA, the multi-peak vacuum Rabi splitting, even when the qubit initially in its ground state and the bosonic field initially in vacuum, can emerge. These new features of physical emission spectrum originate from the effect of counter-rotating wave terms. Moreover, the intercrossing of energy level can also be observed in the strong coupling regime.  相似文献

提出了一种对光谱信号识别的新方法。针对光谱信号的特征 ,我们设计了基于径向基函数神经网络组成的统计混合模型 ,并构造了识别系统的代价函数。通过优化系统的代价函数 ,导出了类EM算法去估计混合模型的参数 ,从而构建对光谱特征识别的识别器。利用实际的拉曼光谱 ,对本文所提出的估计模型参数的算法与建立的光谱识别器进行了检验。我们还讨论了利用特征波长与相应的光谱强度 ,以及利用主分量分析组成输入特征矢量 ,及其这些输入特征矢量对光谱识别器应用的效果。实验结果表明 ,所提出的算法可以有效地估计模型参数 ,其建立的光谱识别模型具有较高的识别准确率。所提出的对光谱信号识别的方法通用性强 ,因此具有较为广阔的应用前景。  相似文献

A new technique (to our knowledge), for the measurement of residual wedge angle (RWA) of high optical quality transparent nearly parallel plate (PP), using a quasi-monochromatic light source, is presented. Advantages and drawbacks of the technique and the results obtained for a PP, using a filtered white light source, is discussed. A slightly modified optical setup for accurate determination of RWA, using phase shifting interferometry (PSI), has been described. Results obtained, applying PSI, for a validation experiment and for the determination of RWA of a quasi-PP is presented. The PSI based technique does not suffer from any measurement ambiguities due to limitation in effective beam aperture. Hence the technique is suitable for high accuracy measurement of RWA of PP. In both the optical setups, presented in this paper, the respective interfering beams travel the same optical circuit and are thus subject to same perturbation in optical path, due to external mechanical vibration, which finally cancels out. Thus the measurements are much less affected by external vibrations. Since the respective interfering beams undergo identical reflections and transmissions, the visibility or contrast of the interference fringes is very good.  相似文献

A new general algebraic method is presented to uniformly construct a series of exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs). For illustration, we apply the new method to shallow long wave approximate equations and successfully obtain abundant new exact solutions, which include rational solitary wave solutions and rational triangular periodic wave solutions. The method is straightforward and concise, and it can also be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献
