The reduction of [Co(III)(tmsalen)(py)2]+ with NaBH4/PdCl2 and the successive oxidative addition of CH2ClI, carried out in neutral methanolic solution and followed by the addition of NaOH, afford a new dinuclear complex. The molecular structure reveals that it is formed by an octahedral [Co(tmsalen)(py)(OH)] unit connected to a β-folded [Co(tmsalenCH2)]+ fragment, in such a way that the latter metal completes the coordination sphere with the hydroxo group and a tmsalen oxygen from the former unit.  相似文献

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Hg(II) and U(IV)O(2)(2+) with N'-(1-(4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylidene)-2-oxo-2-(phenylamino) acetohydrazide (H(3)OPAH) are reported and have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques like IR, UV-visible, (1)H NMR and ESR as well as magnetic and thermal (TG and DTA) measurements. It is found that the ligand behaves as a neutral bidentate, monoanionic tridentate or tetradentate and dianionic tetradentate. An octahedral geometry for [Mn(H(3)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)], [Co(2)(H(2)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(4)] and [(UO(2))(2)(HOPAH)(OAc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] complexes, a square planar geometry for [Cu(2)(H(2)OPAH)Cl(3)(H(2)O)]H(2)O complex, a tetrahedral structure for [Cd(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)], [Zn(H(3)OPAH)(OAc)(2)] and [Hg(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)]H(2)O complexes. The binuclear [Ni(2)(HOPAH)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]H(2)O complex contains a mixed geometry of both tetrahedral and square planar structures. The protonation constants of ligand and stepwise stability constants of its complexes at 298, 308 and 318 K as well as the thermodynamic parameters are being calculated. The bond lengths, bond angles, HOMO, LUMO and dipole moments have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and the investigated complexes. Also, thermal properties and decomposition kinetics of all compounds are investigated. The interpretation, mathematical analysis and evaluation of kinetic parameters (E(a), A, ΔH, ΔS and ΔG) of all thermal decomposition stages have been evaluated using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger methods.  相似文献

The Co(II) complex [Co{C6H4–1,2-(N=CH–C6H4O)2}] (I) and Ni(II) complex [Ni{C6H4–1,2-(N=CH–C6H4O)2}] (II) with Schiff base of o-phenylenediamine and salicylaldehyde have been synthesized. The structure of the ligand and its complexes were derived on the basis of various techniques such as elemental analysis, mass, FT-IR, electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility. From the Singal crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) analysis techniques (CIF file CCDC no. 1498772 (II)), it has been confirmed that the Schiff base ligand (L), coordinates to the metal ion in a tetradentate fashion through the nitrogen and oxygen atom. In addition, the square planar geometry of Ni(II) complex also has been confirmed from SCXRD. Electronic spectra, mass spectra, and magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal square planar geometry for the Co(II) complex. Synthesized complexes were used in cross-coupling of arylhalides with phenylboronic acid. The transformation offers products in good yields using 0.02 mmol catalysts loading, thereby proving the efficiency of the complexes as catalysts for Suzuki–Miyaura reaction.  相似文献

Reactions of Re(V), tetradentate Schiff base complexes with tertiary phosphines have previously yielded both rearranged Re(V) and reduced Re(III) complexes. To further understand this chemistry, the rigid diiminediphenol (N(2)O(2)) Schiff base ligand sal(2)phen (N,N'-o-phenylenebis(salicylaldimine)) was reacted with (n-Bu(4)N)[ReOCl(4)] to yield trans-[ReOCl(sal(2)phen)] (1). On reaction with triphenylphosphine (PPh(3)), a rearranged Re(V) product cis-[ReO(PPh(3))(sal(2)phen*)]PF(6) (2), in which one of the imines was reduced to an amine during the reaction, and the reduced Re(III) products trans-[ReCl(PPh(3))(sal(2)phen)] (4) and trans-[Re(PPh(3))(2)(sal(2)phen)](+) (5) were isolated. Reaction of sal(2)phen with [ReCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)] resulted in the isolation of [ReCl(2)(PPh(3))(2)(salphen)] (3). The compounds were characterized using standard spectroscopic methods, elemental analyses and single crystal X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

[Fe(3)(μ(3)-O)(μ-OAc)(6)(py)(3)][FeBr(4)](2)[py·H], complex (1), (OAc is acetate) was prepared from the reaction of FeBr(3) with pyridine in 1.2 molar aqueous HBr and 2.4 molar aqueous CH(3)COOH. Recrystallization of 1 in acetonitrile produced the [Fe(3)(μ(3)-O)(μ-OAc)(6)(py)(3)][FeBr(4)] complex (2). Both complexes were characterized by IR and (1)H NMR spectroscopies and their structures were studied using the single-crystal diffraction method. There is a lack of thorough characterization of the titled compounds in solution. Paramagnetic (1)H NMR is introduced as a good probe for the characterization of a family of titled compounds in solution when the L ligand coordinated to iron varies as: CH(3)OH, CH(3)CN, DMSO, H(2)O, py and acetone.  相似文献

The first crystallographic data for sigma-bonded alkylcobalt(III) phthalocyanine complexes are reported. A single-crystal X-ray structure of CH(3)CH(2)Co(III)Pc (Pc = dianion of phthalocyanine) reveals that the solid consists of centrosymmetric face-to-face dimers in which the CH(3)CH(2)Co(III)Pc units retain their square pyramidal geometry. The structure appears to be the first one reported for a five-coordinate RCo(III)(chelate) complex with an electron-deficient equatorial system. The Co-C bond in CH(3)CH(2)Co(III)Pc (2.031(5) A) is the longest found in five-coordinate RCo(III)(chel) complexes (R = simple primary alkyl group). Another X-ray study demonstrates that CH(3)Co(III)Pc(py) has a distorted octahedral geometry with axial bonds of very similar length to those in methylcobalamin. The axial bonds are shorter than those in its octaethylporphyrin analogue, in accordance with a weaker trans axial influence in six-coordinate complexes containing an electron-deficient phthalocyanine equatorial ligand. A different trend has been observed for five-coordinate RCo(III)(chel) complexes: electron-rich equatorial systems seem to make the Co-C axial bond shorter. Kinetic data for the homolysis of RCo(III)Pc complexes (R = Me, Et) in dimethylacetamide are also reported. Homolysis of ethyl derivatives is faster. The Co-C bond dissociation energies (BDEs) for the pyridine adducts of the methyl and the ethyl derivative are 30 +/- 1 and 29 +/- 1 kcal/mol, respectively. The BDE for CH(3)CoPc(py) is considerably lower than that for MeCbl despite the very similar lengths of the axial bonds in the two complexes. The results of this work do not support any correlation between the Co-C bond length and the bond strength as defined by BDE.  相似文献

Near-IR FT-Raman spectroscopy was used to probe the properties of three types of methyl imine/oxime B(12) model compounds in CHCl(3) solution. These types differ in the nature of the 1,3-propanediyl chain and were selected to test the influence of electronic and steric effects on the Co-CH(3) stretching (nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3) frequency, a parameter related to Co-C bond strength. For the first type studied, [LCo((DO)(DOH)pn)CH(3)](0/+) ((DO)(DOH)pn = N(2),N(2)(')-propane-1,3-diylbis(2,3-butanedione 2-imine 3-oxime)), nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 decreased from 505 to 455 cm(-)(1) with stronger electron-donating character of the trans axial ligand, L, in the order Cl(-), MeImd, Me(3)Bzm, 4-Me(2)Npy, py, 3,5-Me(2)PhS(-), PMe(3), and CD(3)(-). This series thus allows the first assessment of the effect of negative axial ligands on nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3; these ligands (L = Cl(-), 3,5-Me(2)PhS(-), CD(3)(-)) span the range of trans influence. The CH(3) bending (delta(CH3)) bands were observed at 1171, 1159, and 1150/1105 cm(-)(1), respectively. The decrease in C-H stretching frequencies (nu(CH)) of the axial methyl suggests that the C-H bond strength decreases in the order Cl(-) > 3,5-Me(2)PhS(-) > CD(3)(-). This result is consistent with the order of decreasing (13)C-(1)H NMR coupling constants obtained for the axial methyl group. The trend of lower nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 and nu(CH) frequencies and lower axial methyl C-H coupling constant for stronger electron-donating trans axial ligands can be explained by changes in the electronic character of the Co-C bond. The symmetric CH(3)-Co-CH(3) mode (nu(CH)()3(-)(Co)(-)(CH)()3) for (CH(3))(2)Co((DO)(DOH)pn) was determined to be 456 cm(-)(1) (421 cm(-)(1) for (CD(3))(2)Co((DO)(DOH)pn). The L-Co-CH(3) bending mode (delta(L)(-)(Co)(-)(CH)()3) was detected for the first time for organocobalt B(12) models; this mode, which is important for force field calculations, occurs at 194 cm(-)(1) for ClCo((DO)(DOH)pn)CH(3) and at 186 cm(-)(1) for (CH(3))(2)Co((DO)(DOH)pn. The nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 frequencies were all lower than those reported for the corresponding cobaloxime type LCo(DH)(2)CH(3) (DH = monoanion of dimethylglyoxime) models for planar N-donor L. This relationship is attributed to a steric effect of L in [LCo((DO)(DOH)pn)CH(3)](+). The puckered 1,3-propanediyl chain in [LCo((DO)(DOH)pn)CH(3)](+) forces the planar L ligands to adopt a different orientation compared to that in the cobaloxime models. The consequent steric interaction bends the equatorial ligand toward the methyl group (butterfly bending); this distortion leads to a longer Co-C bond. In a second imine/oxime type, a pyridyl ligand is connected to the 1,3-propanediyl chain and oriented so as to minimize butterfly bending. The nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 frequency for this new lariat model was close to that of pyCo(DH)(2)CH(3). In a third type, a bulkier 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediyl group replaces the 1,3-propanediyl chain. The nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 bands for two complexes with L = Me(3)Bzm and py were 2-5 cm(-)(1) lower in frequency than those of the corresponding [L(Co((DO)(DOH)pn)CH(3)](+) complexes. The decrease in the axial nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 frequencies is probably due to the steric effect of the equatorial ligand. Thus, the nu(Co)(-)(CH)()3 frequency can be useful for investigating both steric and electronic influences on the Co-C bond.  相似文献

The picolyl-substituted NHC complex [Au(im(CH(2)py)(2))(2)]PF(6) (1) reacts with two equivalents of copper(I) halides, affording compounds [Au(im(CH(2)py)(2))(2)(CuX)(2)]PF(6) (X = Cl, 2; Br, 3; I, 4). Each complex contains a nearly linearly coordinated [Au(NHC)(2)](+) center where the two picolyl groups on each im(CH(2)py)(2) ligand chelate a single copper atom. The Cu(I) center resides in a distorted tetrahedral environment and is coordinated to two pyridyl groups, a halide ion, and a gold metalloligand. The Au(I)-Cu(I) separations measure 2.7030(5), 2.6688(9), and 2.6786(10) ? for 2-4, respectively. Additionally, each Cu(I) center is further coordinated by a semibridging NHC ligand with short Cu-C separations of ~2.3 ?. In solution, these complexes dissociate the Cu(I) ion. In the solid state, 2-4 are photoluminescent with respective emission maxima of 512, 502, and 507 nm. The reaction of [Au(im(CH(2)py)(2))(2)]PF(6) with four equivalents of CuBr afforded the coordination polymer {[AuCu(2)Br(2)(im(CH(2)py)(2))(2)]Br·3CH(3)CN}(n) (5). This polymeric complex contains [Au(NHC)(2)](+) units interconnected by Cu(2)Br(2) dimers. In 5, the Au-Cu separations are long at 4.23 and 4.79 ?, while the Cu-Cu distance is considerably shorter at 2.9248(14) ?. In the solid state, 5 is photoluminescent with a broad band appearing at 533 nm.  相似文献

Several mononuclear Ni(II) complexes of the type [Ni(L)(CH(3)CN)(2)](BPh(4))(2) 1-7, where L is a tetradentate tripodal 4N ligand such as N,N-dimethyl-N',N'-bis(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L1), N,N-diethyl-N',N'-bis(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L2), N,N-dimethyl-N'-(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-ylmethyl)-N'-(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L3), N,N-dimethyl-N',N'-bis(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L4), N,N-dimethyl-N',N'-bis(quinolin-2-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L5), tris(benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)amine (L6) and tris(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)amine (L7), have been isolated and characterized using CHN analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The single-crystal X-ray structures of the complexes [Ni(L1)(CH(3)CN)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2) 1a, [Ni(L2)(CH(3)CN)(2)](BPh(4))(2) 2, [Ni(L3)(CH(3)CN)(2)](BPh(4))(2) 3 and [Ni(L4)(CH(3)CN)(2)](BPh(4))(2) 4 have been determined. All these complexes possess a distorted octahedral coordination geometry in which Ni(II) is coordinated to four nitrogen atoms of the tetradentate ligands and two CH(3)CN (2, 3, 4) or one H(2)O and one CH(3)CN (1a) are located in cis positions. The Ni-N(py) bond distances (2.054(2)-2.078(3) ?) in 1a, 2 and 3 are shorter than the Ni-N(amine) bonds (2.127(2)-2.196(3) ?) because of sp(2) and sp(3) hybridizations of the pyridyl and tertiary amine nitrogens respectively. In 3 the Ni-N(im) bond (2.040(5) ?) is shorter than the Ni-N(py) bond (2.074(4) ?) due to the stronger coordination of imidazole compared with the pyridine donor. In dichloromethane/acetonitrile solvent mixture, all the Ni(ii) complexes possess an octahedral coordination geometry, as revealed by the characteristic ligand field bands in the visible region. They efficiently catalyze the hydroxylation of alkanes when m-CPBA is used as oxidant with turnover number (TON) in the range of 340-620 and good alcohol selectivity for cyclohexane (A/K, 5-9). By replacing one of the pyridyl donors in TPA by a weakly coordinating -NMe(2) or -NEt(2) donor nitrogen atom the catalytic activity decreases slightly with no change in the selectivity. In contrast, upon replacing the pyridyl nitrogen donor by the strongly σ-bonding imidazolyl or sterically demanding quinolyl/benzimidazolyl nitrogen donor, both the catalytic activity and selectivity decrease, possibly due to destabilization of the intermediate [(4N)(CH(3)CN)Ni-O˙](+) radical species. Adamantane is selectively (3°/2°, 12-17) oxidized to 1-adamantanol, 2-adamantanol and 2-adamantanone while cumene is selectively oxidized to 2-phenyl-2-propanol. In contrast to cyclohexane oxidation, the incorporation of sterically hindering quinolyl/benzimidazolyl donors around Ni(ii) leads to a high 3°/2° bond selectivity for adamantane oxidation. A linear correlation between the metal-ligand covalency parameter (β) and the turnover number has been observed.  相似文献

Combined electrochemical and UV-visible spectroelectrochemical methods were utilized to elucidate the prevailing mechanisms for electroreduction of previously synthesized porphyrin-corrole dyads of the form (PCY)H2Co and (PCY)MClCoCl where M = Fe(III) or Mn(III), PC = porphyrin-corrole, and Y is a bridging group, either biphenylenyl (B), 9,9-dimethylxanthenyl (X), anthracenyl (A), or dibenzofuranyl (O). These studies were carried out in pyridine, conditions under which the cobalt(IV) corrole in (PCY)MClCoCl is immediately reduced to its Co(III) form, thus enabling direct comparisons with the free-base porphyrin dyad, (PCY)H2Co(III) under the same solution conditions. The compounds are all reduced in multiple one-electron-transfer steps, the first of which involves the M(III)/M(II) process of the porphyrin in the case of (PCY)MClCoCl and the Co(III)/Co(II) process of the corrole in the case of (PCY)H2Co. Each metal-centered redox reaction may be accompanied by the gain or loss of pyridine axial ligands, with the exact stoichiometry of the exchange process depending upon the specific combination of metal ions in the dyad, their oxidation states, and the particular spacer in the complex. Before this study was started, it was expected that the porphyrin-corrole dyads with the largest spacers, namely, O and A, would readily accommodate the formation of cobalt(III) bis-pyridine adducts because of the larger size of the cavity while dyads with the smallest B spacer would seem to have insufficient room to add even a single pyridine within the cavity, as was structurally seen in the case of (PCB)H2Co(py). This is clearly not the case, as shown in the present study. A reversible Co(III)/Co(II) reaction is seen for (PCB)MnClCoCl at -0.62 V, which when combined with spectroscopic data, leads to the assignment of (PCB)Mn(III)(py)2Co(III)(py) as the species in pyridine. The reduction of (PCB)Mn(III)(py)2Co(III)(py) to (PCB)Mn(II)(py)Co(III)(py) is accompanied on the slower spectroelectrochemical time scale by the appearance of a 603 nm band in the UV-vis spectra and is consistent with the addition of a second pyridine ligand to the Co(III)(py) unit of the dyad as one ligand is lost from the electrogenerated manganese(II) porphyrin, thus maintaining one pyridine ligand within the cavity. A different change in the coordination number is observed in the case of (PCB)FeClCoCl. Here the initial Fe(III) complex can be assigned as (PCB)Fe(III)ClCo(III)(py), which has no pyridine molecule within the cavity and the singly reduced form is characterized as (PCB)Fe(II)(py)2Co(III)(py)2, which contains two pyridine ligands inside the cavity. A following one-electron reduction of the Fe(II)/Co(III) complex then gives [(PCB)Fe(II)(py)2Co(II)]-.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of LTi(O-i-Pr)(2) (1) and LTiCl(2) (2) complexes containing a new [ONNO]-type tetradentate diamine-diethanolate ligand such as (HOCMe(2)CH(2)NMeCH(2)CH(2)NMeCH(2)CMe(2)OH) (LH(2)) was achieved. Single-crystal X-ray analyses revealed that monomeric complexes 1 and 2 had pseudo-C(2) and pseudo-C(1) symmetric distorted octahedral geometry, respectively. Interestingly, complex 1 has fac-fac geometry for tetradentate L around a Ti centre in both solid and solution, whereas complex 2 has different geometry in solid (mer-fac, C(1)) and solution (fac-fac, C(2)). They are effective catalysts for the controlled ring opening polymerization of l-lactide, as shown by the linearity of the number average of the molecular weight of polylactides versus conversion, as well as narrow PDI values.  相似文献

The electron-transfer oxidation and subsequent cobalt-carbon bond cleavage of vitamin B12 model complexes were investigated using cobaloximes, (DH)2Co(III)(R)(L), where DH- = the anion of dimethylglyoxime, R = Me, Et, Ph, PhCH2, and PhCH(CH3), and L = a substituted pyridine, as coenzyme B12 model complexes and [Fe(bpy)3](PF6)3 or [Ru(bpy)3](PF6)3 (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) as a one-electron oxidant. The rapid one-electron oxidation of (DH)2Co(III)(Me)(py) (py = pyridine) with the oxidant gives the corresponding Co(IV) complexes, [(DH)2Co(IV)(Me)(py)]+, which were well identified by the ESR spectra. The reorganization energy (lambda) for the electron-transfer oxidation of (DH)2Co(Me)(py) was determined from the ESR line broadening of [(DH)2Co(Me)(py)]+ caused by the electron exchange with (DH)2Co(Me)(py). The lambda value is applied to evaluate the rate constants of photoinduced electron transfer from (DH)2Co(Me)(py) to photosensitizers in light of the Marcus theory of electron transfer. The Co(IV)-C bond cleavage of [(DH)2Co(Me)(py)]+ is accelerated significantly by the reaction with a base. The overall activation energy for the second-order rate constants of Co(IV)-C bond cleavage of [(DH)2Co(IV)(Me)(py)]+ in the presence of a base is decreased by charge-transfer complex formation with a base, which leads to a negative activation energy for the Co(IV)-C cleavage when either 2-methoxypyridine or 2,6-dimethoxypyridine is used as the base.  相似文献

The S-bonded sulfenamide isomers have been prepared by the known reaction of hydroxylamine-O-sulfonate with (en)(2)Co(III) thiolate complexes of aminoethanethiol, cysteine, and penicillamine and the cis dithiolate formed by N,N'-ethylene-di-penicillamine (EDP) and Co(III). It is shown that the sulfenamides undergo linkage isomerization in alkaline solution to produce their respective N-bonded linkage isomers. The addition of acid yields the protonated N-bonded isomers. The structures of [(en)(2)Co(NH(2)S(CH(2))(2)NH(2))](2)(S(2)O(6))(3) and [Co((NH(2)S)(2)EDP)]Br have been determined by X-ray crystallography, and the pK(a) of [(en)(2)Co(NH(2)S(CH(2))(2)NH(2))](3+) has been determined by spectrophotometry. The pH dependencies of the kinetics of the linkage isomerization reactions have been studied and yield pK(a) values of the S-bonded isomers. The (en)(2)Co systems give only the acid-stable N,N' isomer at equilibrium, whereas the EDP complex gives a mixture of N,N' and N,S isomers at pH 7-9.  相似文献

New ligands H(2)L2-H(2)L6 comprise the cyclen macrocycle which is N,N'-dialkylated at the 1,7-nitrogen atoms by three- and four-carbon alkyl chains bearing terminal sulfonic (C(3) H(2)L2), phosphonic (C(3) H(2)L3, C(4) H(2)L4) or carboxylic acid (C(3) H(2)L5, C(4) H(2)L6) groups, and HL7 is N-monoalkylated by a four-carbon sulfonic acid group. The ligands were prepared by alkylation of a bridged bisaminal intermediate. The syntheses of cobalt(III) complexes containing a tetradentate cyclen, N,N'-1,7-Me(2)cyclen, cyclam or L2-L7 ligand together with the bidentate 8-quinolinato (8QO(-)) ligand, of interest as it is a model for a more potent cytotoxic analogue, were investigated. Coordination of ligands (L) cyclen, N,N'-1,7-Me(2)cyclen or cyclam to cobalt(III) was achieved using Na(3)[Co(NO(6))] to form [Co(L)(NO(2))(2)](+). HOTf (trifluoromethansulfonic acid) was used to prepare the triflato complexes [Co(L)(OTf)(2)](+), followed by substitution of the labile triflato ligands to yield [Co(L)(8QO)](ClO(4))(2) isolated as the perchlorate salts. One further example containing cyclam and the 5-hydroxymethyl-8-quinolinato ligand was also prepared by this method. Complexes containing the pendant arm ligands L2-L6 were prepared from the cobalt precursor trans-[Co(py)(4)Cl(2)](+). Reaction of this complex with H(2)L2·4HCl and 8QOH produced [Co(L2)(8QO)] in one step and contains two deprotonated sulfonato pendant arms. The reaction of H(2)L3·4HBr with [Co(py)(4)Cl(2)](+) gave [Co(L3)]Cl in which L3 acts as a hexadenate ligand with the three-carbon phosphonato side chains coordinated to cobalt. H(2)L5·4HCl bearing three-carbon carboxylic acid pendant arms gave a similar result. The four-carbon ligands were coordinated to cobalt by reaction of [Co(py)(4)Cl(2)](+) with H(2)L4·4HBr or H(2)L6·4HCl to give [Co(HL4)Cl(2)] or [Co(H(2)L6)Cl(2)]Cl, which in turn with 8QOH gave the 8QO(-) complexes [Co(L4)(8QO)] bearing anionic phosphate pendant arms or [Co(H(2)L6)(8QO)]Cl(2) containing neutral carboxylic acid side chains. The reaction of Na(3)[Co(CO(3))(3)] with the mono-N-alkylated ligand HL7·4HCl and then HOTf gave [Co(L7)(CO(3))] and then in turn [Co(L7)(OTf)(2)]. The carbonato complex [Co(L7)(CO(3))] with [8QO](2)[SO(4)] produced [Co(L7)(CO(3))]. All complexes containing L7 bear an anionic sulfonato group on the side chain. The synthesis and characterisation of the six new ligands based on N-alkylated cylen ligand and the cobalt complexes outlined above are described, along with cyclic voltammograms of the 8QO(-) complexes and the molecular structures determined by X-ray crystallography of [Co(cyclen)(H(2)O)(2)](OTf)(3) (formed by aquation of the triflato complex), [Co(cyclen)(8QO)](ClO(4))(2), Co(L2)(8QO)·2H(2)O, Co(L4)(8QO)·6H(2)O and [Co(H(2)L6)Cl(2)]Cl·H(2)O. These demonstrate the coordination of the cyclen ligand in the folded anti-O,syn-N configuration with the N-alkylated nitrogens occupying apical positions.  相似文献

The synthesis of the novel tripodal ligand [N(CH2CH2CH2OH)(CH2CH2SH)2] H3-4 is reported. The aliphatic tetradentate ligand is equipped with an unsymmetrical NOS2 donor set. It reacts with Ni(OAc)2 x 4H2O or Zn(BF4)2 x xH2O to give the complexes [Ni(H-4)]2 5 and [Zn(H-4)]4 6, respectively. The molecular structures of 5 and 6 have been determined by X-ray diffraction. In both cases multinuclear, mu-thiolato-bridged complexes, wherein the ligand coordinates with only three (NS2) of the four donor groups, had formed. The dinuclear complex 5 adopts a butterfly geometry and contains nickel(II) ions in a square-planar NS3 coordination environment. Cyclic voltammetry experiments indicate that the nickel centers in 5 are electron-rich but not overly sensitive toward oxidation. Complex 6 is tetranuclear and the four thiolato-bridged metal centers form a ring. It shows a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry for the zinc(II) ions in an NS3 coordination sphere. In both complexes the hydroxyl functionalized ligand arm of the tripodal ligand remains uncoordinated.  相似文献

These were converted to the acetylide complexes [Zr(N2(TBS)Npy)(=N-NC5H5)(CCPh)(py)] (5) and [Hf(N2(TBS)Npy)(=N-NC5H5)(CCPh)(py)] (6) by reaction with lithium phenylacetylide and substitution of the triflato ligand. Upon reaction of 3 and 4 with one molar equivalent of R-NC (R = tBu, Cy, 2,6-xyl), N-N bond cleavage in the (1-pyridinio)imido unit took place and the respective carbodiimido complexes [M(N2(TBS)Npy](N=C=NR)(OTf)(py)] (7-12) were formed instantaneously. A similar type of reaction with CO gave the isocyanato complex [Zr(N2(TBS)Npy](NCO)(OTf)(py)] (13). Finally, the abstraction of the pyridine ligand in compounds 3 and 4 with B(C6F5)3 led to the formation of the triflato-bridged dinuclear complexes [Zr(N2(TBS)Npy)(=N-NC5H5)(OTf)]2 (14) and [Hf(N2(TBS)Npy)(=N-NC5H5)(OTf)]2 (15).  相似文献

The spectroscopic and chemical characterization of a new synthetic non-heme iron(IV)-oxo species [Fe(IV)(O)((Me,H) Pytacn)(S)](2+) (2, (Me,H)Pytacn=1-(2'-pyridylmethyl)-4,7-dimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, S=CH(3)CN or H(2)O) is described. Complex 2 was prepared by reaction of [Fe(II)(CF(3)SO(3))(2)((Me,H) Pytacn)] (1) with peracetic acid. Complex 2 bears a tetradentate N(4) ligand that leaves two cis sites available for binding an oxo group and a second external ligand but, unlike the related iron(IV)-oxo species with tetradentate ligands, it is remarkably stable at room temperature (t(1/2)>2 h at 288 K). Its ability to exchange the oxygen atom of the oxo ligand with water has been analyzed in detail by means of kinetic studies, and a mechanism is proposed on the basis of DFT calculations. Hydrogen-atom abstraction from C-H bonds and oxygen-atom transfer to sulfides by 2 have also been studied. Despite its thermal stability, 2 proves to be a very powerful oxidant that is capable of breaking the strong C-H bond of cyclohexane (bond dissociation energy=99.3 kcal mol(-1)).  相似文献

The reactions of cis-[MoCl(η(3)-methallyl)(CO)(2)(NCMe)(2)] (methallyl = CH(2)C(CH(3))CH(2)) with Na(NCNCN) and pz*H (pzH, pyrazole, or dmpzH, 3,5-dimethylpyrazole) lead to cis-[Mo(η(3)-methallyl)(CO)(2)(pz*H)(μ-NCNCN-κ(2)N,N)](2) (pzH, 1a; dmpzH, 1b), where dicyanamide is coordinated as bridging ligand. Similar reactions with fac-[MnBr(CO)(3)(NCMe)(2)] lead to the pyrazolylamidino complexes fac-[Mn(pz*H)(CO)(3)(NH═C(pz*)NCN-κ(2)N,N)] (pzH, 2a; dmpzH, 2b), resulting from the coupling of pyrazol with one of the CN bonds of dicyanamide. The second CN bond of dicyanamide in 2a undergoes a second coupling with pyrazole after addition of 1 equiv of fac-[MnBr(CO)(3)(pzH)(2)], yielding the dinuclear doubly coupled complex [{fac-Mn(pzH)(CO)(3)}(2)(μ-NH═C(pz)NC(pz)=NH-κ(4)N,N,N,N)]Br (3). The crystal structure of 3 reveals the presence of two isomers, cis or trans, depending on whether the terminal pyrazoles are coordinated at the same or at different sides of the approximate plane defined by the bridging bis-amidine ligand. Only the cis isomer is detected in the crystal structure of the perchlorate salt of the same bimetallic cation (4), obtained by metathesis with AgClO(4). All the N-bound hydrogen atoms of the cations in 3 or 4 are involved in hydrogen bonds. Some of the C-N bonds of the pyrazolylamidino ligand have a character intermediate between single and double, and theoretical studies were carried out on 2a and 3 to confirm its electronic origin and discard packing effects. Calculations also show the essential role of bromide in the planarity of the tetradentate ligand in the bimetallic complex 3.  相似文献

The 1:1 mixture of Co(Brhfpip)(2) and D1py(2) gave isomeric diazocobalt complexes, 1 and 2, formulated by [Co(Brhfpip)(2)(D1py(2))](n). Complexes 1 and 2 have zigzag and linear chain structures by the cis and trans coordination of pyridine units in D1py(2), respectively. After irradiation of microcrystalline samples, the generated carbene interacted with the cobalt ion to form ferromagnetic chains, 1c and 2c. Those isomeric chains exhibited slow magnetic relaxation with U(eff) = 93 and 87 K and H(c) = 20 and 13 kOe at 1.9 K for 1c and 2c, respectively.  相似文献
