This paper studies parabolic quasiminimizers which are solutions to parabolic variational inequalities. We show that, under a suitable regularity condition on the boundary, parabolic Q-quasiminimizers related to the parabolic p-Laplace equations with given boundary values are stable with respect to parameters Q and p. The argument is based on variational techniques, higher integrability results and regularity estimates in time. This shows that stability does not only hold for parabolic partial differential equations but it also holds for variational inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper we study the regularity of the free boundary in a general two-phase free boundary problem for the p-Laplace operator and we prove, in particular, that Lipschitz free boundaries are C1,γ-smooth for some γ∈(0,1). As part of our argument, and which is of independent interest, we establish a Hopf boundary type principle for non-negative p-harmonic functions vanishing on a portion of the boundary of a Lipschitz domain.  相似文献

We consider an elliptic system in divergence form with measurable coefficients in a nonsmooth bounded domain to find a minimal regularity requirement on the coefficients and a lower level of geometric assumption on the boundary of the domain for a global W 1,p , 1 < p < ∞, regularity. It is proved that such a W 1,p regularity is still available under the assumption that the coefficients are merely measurable in one variable and have small BMO semi-norms in the other variables while the domain can be locally approximated by a hyperplane, a so called δ-Reifenberg domain, which is beyond the Lipschitz category. This regularity easily extends to a certain Orlicz-Sobolev space.  相似文献

In this paper we continue the study in Lewis and Nyström (2010) [19], concerning the regularity of the free boundary in a general two-phase free boundary problem for the p-Laplace operator, by proving regularity of the free boundary assuming that the free boundary is close to a Lipschitz graph.  相似文献

The boundary value problems for the degenerate differential-operator equations with small parameters generated on all boundary are studied. Several conditions for the separability and the fredholmness in Banach-valued Lp-spaces of are given. In applications, maximal regularity of degenerate Cauchy problem for parabolic equation arising in atmospheric dispersion of pollutants studied.  相似文献

Global weighted Lp estimates are obtained for the gradient of solutions to nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet boundary value problems over a bounded nonsmooth domain. Morrey and Hölder regularity of solutions are also established, as a consequence. These results generalize various existing estimates for nonlinear equations. The nonlinearities are of at most linear growth and assumed to have a uniform small mean oscillation. The boundary of the domain, on the other hand, may exhibit roughness but assumed to be sufficiently flat in the sense of Reifenberg. Our approach uses maximal function estimates and Vitali covering lemma, and also known regularity results of solutions to nonlinear homogeneous equations.  相似文献

We present some new regularity criteria for “suitable weak solutions” of the Navier-Stokes equations near the boundary in dimension three. We prove that suitable weak solutions are Hölder continuous up to the boundary provided that the scaled mixed norm with 3/p+2/q?2, 2<q?∞, (p,q)≠(3/2,∞) is small near the boundary. Our methods yield new results in the interior case as well. Partial regularity of weak solutions is also analyzed under some additional integral conditions.  相似文献

This study focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems (BVP) for degenerate elliptic differential-operator equations (DOE), that are defined in Banach-valued function spaces, where boundary conditions contain a degenerate function and a principal part of the equation possess varying coefficients. Several conditions obtained, that guarantee the maximal Lp regularity and Fredholmness. These results are also applied to nonlocal BVP for regular degenerate partial differential equations on cylindrical domain to obtain the algebraic conditions that ensure the same properties.  相似文献

This paper focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems for linear and nonlinear abstract elliptic equations in Banach spaces. Here equations and boundary conditions contain certain parameters. The uniform separability of the linear problem and the existence and uniqueness of maximal regular solution of nonlinear problem are obtained in Lp spaces. For linear case the discreteness of spectrum of corresponding parameter dependent differential operator is obtained. The behavior of solution when the parameter approaches zero and its smoothness with respect to the parameter is established. Moreover, we show the estimate for analytic semigroups in terms of interpolation spaces. This fact can be used to obtain maximal regularity properties for abstract boundary value problems.  相似文献

In a bounded Lipschitz domain in ?n, we consider a second-order strongly elliptic system with symmetric principal part written in divergent form. We study the Neumann boundary value problem in a generalized variational (or weak) setting using the Lebesgue spaces H p σ (Ω) for solutions, where p can differ from 2 and σ can differ from 1. Using the tools of interpolation theory, we generalize the known theorem on the regularity of solutions, in which p = 2 and {σ ? 1} < 1/2, and the corresponding theorem on the unique solvability of the problem (Savaré, 1998) to p close to 2. We compare this approach with the nonvariational approach accepted in numerous papers of the modern theory of boundary value problems in Lipschitz domains. We discuss the regularity of eigenfunctions of the Dirichlet, Neumann, and Poincaré-Steklov spectral problems.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to prove elliptic regularity and parabolic maximal regularity of the Laplacian with mixed boundary conditions on domains Ω carrying a cylindrical structure. More precisely, we consider Ω to be given as the Cartesian product of whole or half spaces, a cube ${\mathcal{Q}}$ , and a standard domain V having compact boundary. Taking advantage of this structure we apply operator-valued Fourier multiplier results to transfer ${\mathcal{H}^{\infty}}$ -calculus results known for the Laplacian in L p (V) to the Laplacian in L p (Ω). This approach turns out to inherit elliptic regularity, i.e. the domain of the Dirichlet Laplacian equals ${W^{2,p}(\Omega) \cap W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)}$ , for instance. This is surprising since Ω may be unbounded and non-convex with boundary neither compact nor of class C 1,1 at the same time. More generally, we consider the following mixture of boundary conditions: on every smooth part of the boundary Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions are imposed and on parts related to ${\mathcal{Q}}$ generalized periodic boundary conditions are included. Via ${\mathcal{R}}$ -sectoriality we deduce maximal regularity in the parabolic sense which seems to be new for this general class of boundary conditions. Parabolic equations with such a mixture of boundary conditions on such type of domains appear for example in models describing growth of biological cells.  相似文献

It is now a well-known fact that for 1<p<∞ the p-harmonic functions on domains in metric measure spaces equipped with a doubling measure supporting a (1,p)-Poincaré inequality are locally Hölder continuous. In this note we provide a characterization of domains in such metric spaces for which p-harmonic extensions of Hölder continuous boundary data are globally Hölder continuous. We also provide a link between this regularity property of the domain and the uniform p-fatness of the complement of the domain.  相似文献

We investigate a control problem for the heat equation. The goal is to find an optimal heat transfer coefficient in the dynamic boundary condition such that a desired temperature distribution at the boundary is adhered. To this end we consider a function space setting in which the heat flux across the boundary is forced to be an L p function with respect to the surface measure, which in turn implies higher regularity for the time derivative of temperature. We show that the corresponding elliptic operator generates a strongly continuous semigroup of contractions and apply the concept of maximal parabolic regularity. This allows to show the existence of an optimal control and the derivation of necessary and sufficient optimality conditions.  相似文献

For a class of quasilinear parabolic systems with nonlinear Robin boundary conditions we construct a compact local solution semiflow in a nonlinear phase space of high regularity. We further show that a priori estimates in lower norms are sufficient for the existence of a global attractor in this phase space. The approach relies on maximal Lp-regularity with temporal weights for the linearized problem. An inherent smoothing effect due to the weights is employed for obtaining gradient estimates. In several applications we can improve the convergence to an attractor by one regularity level.  相似文献

The nonlocal boundary value problems for anisotropic partial differential-operator equations with a dependent coefficients are studied. The principal parts of the appropriate generated differential operators are nonself-adjoint. Several conditions for the maximal regularity and the fredholmness in Banach-valued Lp-spaces of these problems are given. These results permit us to establish that the inverse of corresponding differential operators belongs to Schatten q-class. Some spectral properties of the operators are investigated. In applications, the nonlocal BVP's for quasielliptic partial differential equations and for systems of quasielliptic equations on cylindrical domain are studied.  相似文献

For strongly elliptic Systems with Douglis-Nirenberg structure, we investigate the regularity of variational solutions to the Dirichlet and Neumann problems in a bounded Lipschitz domain. The solutions of the problems with homogeneous boundary conditions are originally defined in the simplest L 2-Sobolev spaces H σ . The regularity results are obtained in the potential spaces H p σ and Besov spaces B p σ . In the case of second-order Systems, the author’s results obtained a year ago are strengthened. The Dirichlet problem with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions is considered with the use of Whitney arrays.  相似文献

We consider the regularity problem for 3D Navier-Stokes equations in a bounded domain with smooth boundary. A new sufficient condition which guarantees the regularity of weak solutions on the quotient p/(1+|u|δ1+|u|δ2) for the Navier-Stokes equations is established.  相似文献

In this paper a special Lp-estimate for the linearized compressible Navier-Stokes in the Lagrangian coordinates for the Dirichlet boundary conditions is obtained. The constant in the estimate does not depend on the length of time interval [0,T]. The result is essential to obtain an existence for regular solutions for the nonlinear problem with the lowest class of regularity in Lp-spaces.  相似文献

Using Dirichlet form techniques we prove existence of a diffusion process with singular drift on an open domain Ω???? d , d?∈??, d?≥?2, and generalized reflection at the boundary. The boundary is assumed to be C 2-smooth except for a sufficiently small set. We prove an elliptic regularity result which gives L p -strong Feller property for the semigroup and resolvent for p?≥?2 with $p > \frac{d}{2}$ . This result allows us to construct the process pointwisely except for an explicitly known set. For starting points outside this known set the process solves the corresponding martingale problem. The results are applied to prove the existence of the stochastic dynamics of a finite interacting particle system and for the Ginzburg-Landau interface model with a hard wall.  相似文献

In some recent papers we have been pursuing regularity results up to the boundary, in W2,l(Ω) spaces for the velocity, and in W1,l(Ω) spaces for the pressure, for fluid flows with shear dependent viscosity. To fix ideas, we assume the classical non-slip boundary condition. From the mathematical point of view it is appropriate to distinguish between the shear thickening case, p>2, and the shear thinning case, p<2, and between flat-boundaries and smooth, arbitrary, boundaries. The p<2 non-flat boundary case is still open. The aim of this work is to extend to smooth boundaries the results proved in reference [H. Beirão da Veiga, On non-Newtonian p-fluids. The pseudo-plastic case, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 344 (1) (2008) 175-185]. This is done here by appealing to a quite general method, introduced in reference [H. Beirão da Veiga, On the Ladyzhenskaya-Smagorinsky turbulence model of the Navier-Stokes equations in smooth domains. The regularity problem, J. Eur. Math. Soc., in press], suitable for considering non-flat boundaries.  相似文献
