We show that the isometry groups of Lip(X,d) and lip(X,dα) with α∈(0,1), for a compact metric space (X,d), are algebraically reflexive. We also prove that the sets of isometric reflections and generalized bi-circular projections on such spaces are algebraically reflexive. In order to achieve this, we characterize generalized bi-circular projections on these spaces.  相似文献

The α-modulation spaces , α∈[0,1], form a family of spaces that include the Besov and modulation spaces as special cases. This paper is concerned with construction of Banach frames for α-modulation spaces in the multivariate setting. The frames constructed are unions of independent Riesz sequences based on tensor products of univariate brushlet functions, which simplifies the analysis of the full frame. We show that the multivariate α-modulation spaces can be completely characterized by the Banach frames constructed.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to justify the Stokes-Blasius law of boundary-layer thickness for the 2-D Boussinesq equations with vanishing diffusivity limit in the half plane, i.e., we shall prove that the boundary-layer thickness is of the value δ(ε)=εα with any α∈(0,1/2) for small diffusivity coefficient ε>0. Moreover, the convergence rates of the vanishing diffusivity limit are also obtained.  相似文献

Two families of functions on (0,∞) are related to the theory of fractional powers of generators of strongly continuous semigroups—namely the family (σα(·,t))t>0 of density functions of the one-sided stable semigroup of order α∈(0,1), and a family (eα(·,μ))μ>0 of Mittag-Leffler type functions. For the latter family we make this relation visible. We collect some important properties of these functions, and we improve a known result on the Laplace transform of the functions eα(·,μ) and their derivatives in the sense that we enlarge the domains of the Laplace variable. We furthermore find an expression for the Laplace transform of the functions t?σα(x,t), x>0, in terms of the derivative eα(·,μ).  相似文献

This paper studies a nonlinear Langevin equation involving two fractional orders α∈(0,1] and β∈(1,2] with three-point boundary conditions. The contraction mapping principle and Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem are applied to prove the existence of solutions for the problem. The existence results for a three-point third-order nonlocal boundary value problem of nonlinear ordinary differential equations follow as a special case of our results. We consider an evolution equation with the regularized fractional derivative of an order α∈(0,1) with respect to the time variable, and a uniformly elliptic operator with variable coefficients acting in the spatial variables. Such equations describe diffusion on inhomogeneous fractals. A fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem is constructed and investigated.  相似文献

A real number α∈[0,1) is a jump for r if there is a constant c>0 such that for any ε>0 and any integer m where m?r, there exists an integer n0 such that any r-uniform graph with n>n0 vertices and density ?α+ε contains a subgraph with m vertices and density ?α+c. It follows from a fundamental theorem of Erd?s and Stone that every α∈[0,1) is a jump for r=2. Erd?s asked whether the same is true for r?3. Frankl and Rödl gave a negative answer by showing some non-jumping numbers for every r?3. And a generalized subordination principle is derived. In particular, if −A generates a bounded α-times resolvent family for some α∈(1,2], then −A1/α generates an analytic C0-semigroup. In this paper we consider a semilinear variational inequality with a gradient-dependent nonlinear term. Obviously the nature of this problem is non-variational. Nevertheless we study that problem associating a suitable semilinear variational inequality, variational in nature, with it, and performing an iterative technique used in De Figueiredo et al. (2004) [6] in order to treat semilinear elliptic equations when there is a gradient dependence on the nonlinearity. We prove the existence of a non-trivial non-negative weak solution u for our problem using essentially variational methods, a penalization technique and an iterative scheme. Via Lewy-Stampacchia’s estimates and regularity theory for elliptic equation we also show that u is differentiable and its gradient is α-H?lder continuous on for any α∈(0,1).  相似文献

In this paper, a necessary and sufficient conditions for the strong convergence to a common fixed point of a finite family of continuous pseudocontractive mappings are proved in an arbitrary real Banach space using an implicit iteration scheme recently introduced by Xu and Ori [H.K. Xu, R.G. Ori, An implicit iteration process for nonexpansive mappings, Numer. Fuct. Anal. Optim. 22 (2001) 767-773] in condition αn∈(0,1], and also strong and weak convergence theorem of a finite family of strictly pseudocontractive mappings of Browder-Petryshyn type is obtained. The results presented extend and improve the corresponding results of M.O. Osilike [M.O. Osilike, Implicit iteration process for common fixed points of a finite family of strictly pseudocontractive maps, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 294 (2004) 73-81].  相似文献

A result of Erd?s, Stone and Simonovits implies that every α∈[0,1) is a jump for r=2. Erd?s asked whether the same is true for r?3. Frankl and Rödl gave a negative answer by showing an infinite sequence of non-jumping numbers for every r?3. However, there are a lot of unknowns on determining whether or not a number is a jump for r?3. In this paper, we find two infinite sequences of non-jumping numbers for r=4, and extend one of the results to every r?4.
